I am a huge Halal food fan when I visit NYC. There's just something so tasty about it and despite literally looking like a couch at a 1970's porno shoot with all the white sauce, it's actually pretty healthy and as humane as meat can be. I will say that this isn't going to compete with NYC Halal street food. Don't compare this with Halal Guys and expect them to be equal. A plate of chicken or lamb with rice and lettuce and diced cucumber is about $10, which is on par with a Chipotle bowl. I prefer Halal food. The chicken tasted fresh and was chopped nicely. It was bright red, marinated perfectly and the iceberg lettuce was crunchy and fresh. The rice wasn't the best middle eastern rice I've had ... but above average. I like the spicier rice. They have it as a 'salad' with no rice and more lettuce. We also had the Kofta Kebab and it was tasty. You get 5 small/medium-sized Kebabs with the rice and lettuce. It was very filling. The kebab is a bit spicy but not overwhelmingly so. I can't figure out if I like the chicken or the kebab better ... both were good. Overall, I would return. At $10 per entree, the value was good. The store is very clean ... they weren't as busy as I thought they'd be. Maybe due to the location being so near a lot of other takeout spots. I am so glad I found decent Halal food in RI. There is a Halal Guys in Boston ... but I'd say that this is as good as you'll find in Providence. I've had Eastside Pockets and this beats that by a country mile. The portions here will fill you up and the value is good. Very few restaurants can say that these days. read more

My lamb was my favorite out of the two meats. For little chunks, it was very juicy and not tough at all. Great flavor too, as well as the white sauce that I asked for. Just found them, I git a lamb/falafel bowl, I didn't care for the lamb being cut up in tiny cubes but loved the rice (the grain seemed longer and wider than normal), the garlic sauce was kind of thin and not ver garlicky; I also got the fried cheesecake stick, it says dusted in cinnamon sugar and comes w/a sauce, they had no sauce, it had no cinnamon sugar and you could clearly see the block of cheese still intact in it (should have been fried longer, probably would have been good if it at least had sugar and the cheese melted), a waste of $5. It's a fast food venue with a few indoor dining tables in Pawtucket, RI near the border of South Attleboro, MA. (Close to the plaza with Market Basket off the 95 freeway). The food they serve has a blend of Middle Eastern and South Asian flavors. I placed a telephone order for takeout and was told the food would be ready in 15 minutes. I asked for the Kofta Kebab (made with ground chicken) on Rice platter topped with "white sauce," a side of a tiny cup of hummus for $1 extra, and a Chopped Cheese (similar to a Philly cheesesteak) sandwich meal which comes with soda and fries for the hubby. Both dishes were reasonably priced, plentiful and delicious. We ate every last bite and will probably come back very soon! The fries weren't crunchy, but they were well seasoned. The spicy level of the kofta kebabs were mild to medium--it definitely had a kick. The hubby said he'll ask for lettuce and tomatoes to be added to his sandwich next time. Few parking spots in the front. It's a little hard to exit, so be careful. Nazs Halal is now one of our favorite restaurants for take out and we plan to return weekly. Highly recommend! The salad had nicely moist and seasoned chicken, cucumbers, and a good gyro-inspired dressing. I opted for fries atop it which took down the healthy quotient but upped the flavor and enjoyment. I also tried the fried sweet corn bites and fried Mac and cheese. I'm not sure how I started with a light salad and ended with all these fried delights, but the corn was very good and the Mac and cheese was solid but nothing to write home about. We were happy to see how good the reviews were and we ordered the Chicken, Kofta, and Falafel platters because they all looked tasty and we just couldn't decide. While we were waiting for our food to be ready, we noticed how many to go and Uber Eats orders were coming in, which is always a good sign! Pros: the restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, the portions were a good size, and the price was reasonable. Cons: We didn't care for anything that we tried, which was a bummer because we love middle eastern and halal food and eat a lot of it. Second visit ordered mozzarella sticks, hot wings, and fish and chips. The way wings are dressed leave something to be desired and need improvement on saucing and should have seasoning. The fish and chips was an absolute mistake. French fries are hard to mess up but the fish needs total re-work on how it is cooked. Never having halal food before I was interested in checking this new business in Pawtucket, and I'm happy I did. First order I got was the combo rice platter.. good mix of rice, fresh salad mix which has diced cucumber, big fan of that. Plenty of meat in it as well, I always get the chicken with lamb combo it's the way to go. Add the two falafels for under $2, it's so worth it. I always add all sauces as well, the green one is my favorite! The Philly cheese steak is very flavorful but it is a little smaller then the norm in the area. The price is still good for the flavor. Hard to believe that this place has "fallen off" already, when they haven't even been open that long. Ordered the fish over salad, which the website says is 2 pieces of fish, and when they first opened they used to give 2 pieces of fish, but today was only 1 piece of fish cut in half over plain lettuce with very little Cucumber and tomatoes. Ordered a 6 piece mozzarella stick that came with only 5. When I called I was told by tge woman that the fish is always one piece cut into 2 and that the mozzarella sticks are always 5 pieces...I informed her someone should update the website then because I would've ordered from somewhere else. The seasoning was flavorful, and the lamb wasn't too gamey (even my friend who doesn't like lamb typically really liked it!). The sauces honestly are so good. The white sauce is delicious, and the green sauce is good if you like cilantro. We asked for lots of extra sauces to go. Bc we got takeout, we added our own pepper flakes to make it spicy at home. The portions are HUGE, and it's definitely hard to finish an entire bowl. The price is so worth it at $8.99/bowl, but EVEN MORE worth it because right now they're having a special deal on Uber Eats, where it's buy 1 get 1 free. So we got bowls for $4.50 each.
