Good stuff very reasonable and quick. It's hard to believe that this food is prepared out of this older truck... if you were just driving by I don't think you would stop but thanks to word-of-mouth and Yelp of course... someone should step up And put these guys in brick and mortar.. This place is a hidden treasure. If I hadnt of seen it on Yelp, I never would have come across it. I got the lamb and rice plate which came out as an enormous serving, loaded with white sauce, and literally 2 minutes after I ordered it. The price was more than fair for the quantity and quality. The lamb and rice is as close as I've seen to Halal Guys in NYC. Its a food truck, and a little rough looking on the outside but don't let appearances deter you! read more

Doesn't need an introduction. Ate here late nights studying in the library during grad school. Great food, great portions, great taste, great price! read more

Excellent dishes. The lamb, kofta, and falafel plates are delicious. Big portions too so if you're hungry and looking for savory and satisfying this is your joint. Delivery is usually faster than expected too. read more

Awesome place to eat some halal food. The lamb over rice is so good it's ridiculous. Lamb is nice and tender and not crazy chewy. White sauce awesome but I personally ask for it spicy and with extra hot sauce in the side to give it some more heat. The only down side is that it's kind of hard to park and pick up your order if your driving there for pick up. Regardless of the parking situation this place is worth it. read more

I got the falafel and lamb combo plate. Everything was well made and I wish I had more of the hot sauce. The salad was a fresh accompaniment to the rice and mains. I cannot tell what spice they use in the rice, it can be a bit overpowering. However, I love this food truck! read more

So amazingly good. Cheap prices for a ton of food, and the quality is fresh. Service was fast! Don't pass this truck up... the flavors you get will blow your mind. read more

It boggles my mind why there's not a crazy line each time I go. I've gone there four times in two weeks, bringing different people each time. My fave is the lamb plate. I get the hot sauce on the side bc it's HOT AF-- and I love hot. It comes with a garden salad that I enjoy, topped with a couple chickpeas and black olives. Hubby is picky and annoying (irrelevant) and only eats chicken. I made him try the chicken plate through all his reluctancy. I couldn't tell him it's a yogurt sauce on top bc it'd freak him out. Turns out he loves it all-- even the salad. Hot damn this makes for 3 places we can both eat at together and enjoy. We now save $ by splitting the chicken and lamb combo plate. read more

Only 4 stars because I've been here only once. I had the chicken and rice extra spicy (wasn't overly spicy though). Very flavorful and well balanced spices. Chicken and rice also came with a small side salad. It is a food truck so there isn't really any place to eat. Right next to UMass Lowell north campus (across from the science building). Probably gets really busy during lunch (I was there at 1:30 and there were just a few people waiting). I will be back and probably will bring a friend. $0.50 charge for using credit cards. Prices didn't seem to be listed on their menu board but the food was cheap. read more

I was so happy when this arrived on campus. Halal food was a treat for me to get every once in a wile when i went back home on school breaks, because there just were not any places in MA i found with decent gyros and halal in general. This place is amazing, they are very friendly, and the food is incredible. There is nothing negative to say at all, i have never had one problem. They are fast and the food is always fresh, the smell of the truck starting up right around 11 AM is incredible when walking to class. My only warning is the red sauce is VERY HOT, i enjoy it and they do warn you before hand that it is very spicy. I recommend getting it on the side for your first time, because for some people it may be too spicy, but i love it. read more

Really great food. The prices are fair. I would recommend to anyone passing by. I'll definitely be coming back many times! read more

I've continued to come here about once per week and have yet to have anything negative to say about the food or the workers. One day I came with an order for 6 meals to go (it was a family affair that night!) and the food was still hot, delicious, and served with a smile. I have also tried the shrimp over rice--not very seasoned shrimp, but still very tasty, deveined, and cooked to perfection. I hope this food truck stays in business for many years to come! Will update again when I get around to trying the kofta read more

I never thought I would have a Gyptian food from a food truck but this is some of the best food ever had in my tire life

Lamb gyros are HUGE and to die for. Falafel also very good! Don't sleep on this place!

Food is usually great, but we ordered a chicken and shrimp plate via a delivery app, and there was no chicken. There was also barely any sauce. Really wish they were consistent with their orders. read more

BEST FOOD WITHIN A 50 mile radius hands down! It always comes full and filling. Make sure to get you some of that extra white sauce.... FOR SURE read more

Until today the Egyptian Grille has been amazing - (ordering for 4-5 people) You couldn't complain until today.... Everything but the rice was good .... Usually the rice is like WOW - this time is was like "Th' Fk" - It was very watery .. And it was not just one plate it was all 5 - (lamb over rice or Chick over rice) - Now this being the first review, I took the advice of my colleagues to give this 2 stars from the original 5 stars - Maybe this week when we go for seconds it will be back to normal .............. P.S. I am still going back.... me and the rest of the gang were just Salty, cause when you crave and have drive far for GREAT food - its hurts to be disappointed. Again I am still going back..... read more

before coming here i had never tried egyptian food, and the chicken plate was good and a great portion

Just found out about this spot, and I'm glad I did. The gyros are fire, and the plates are a massive amount of food. The spicy sauce is just enough that it's not so much you can't keep going back in for more. Leaves you with a satisfying taste. Look forward to trying more menu items! read more

Been here multiples times, always a great experience. The food is always, flavorful and authentic tasting. Generous portions and priced affordably. Service is friendly and fast! Great unique alternative to fast food, or a sub shop. read more

Phenomenal authentic Egyptian food! I personally love the lamb & shrimp over a salad but even over the rice is still amazing. I like watching my carbs so over a salad is what I do. For the price you pay, it portions out to an amazing meal. There's nothing negative I can say about this place, love the staff. They're super friendly! read more

The food is absolutely amazing here. I finally headed over after all the rave reviews from this place and I'm glad I did. I got the Falafel over rice which comes with a side Greek salad and was absolutely delish. I added a side of french fries which were also good. The portion size is very generous and the prices are excellent. Be careful parking in the lot where its permit parking only because you can get ticketed. I don't think there's any provided parking for this establishment however, this does not deter the large amount of people that come here to indulge in the amazing flavors of Egypt. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a quick bite to eat that will fill you up and satisfy you. read more

Best halal I've ever had, easily. I got the lamb and chicken combo plate and was blown away by the quality of the meat, sauces, and even the rice. The side salad was a nice touch, as it helped cool my mouth after eating the spicy sauce. I'll definitely be back. read more

My favorite food truck to go to every time I'm in Lowell! Their chicken and rice plate with hot sauce is honestly the best. I'm usually VERY picky on how chicken and rice is made being ethnic myself, so let me tell you how it's actually cooked correctly here. The rice isn't stiff or undercooked, it's supple and freshly made. The chicken isn't bone dry nor does it have a raw texture. It's flavorful and done rightfully that it can be eaten with or without hot sauce. However, I love spicy and think it's a fantastic combo. The salad on the side is a nice add-on as well! I hesitated to try something new, but after doing so now I'm a returning customer whenever I find myself in town. :) read more

Damn, I looked for a place to eat close to the planet fitness I just lifted at. This place a solid reviews and I love a good gyro... what I had tho was not a good gyro, it was a phenomenal gyro. And I also had a plate of large shrimp and rice with a side of salad. It was all absolutely delicious and one of the best value meals I've ever eaten. Mind you, I'm in the Boston MA area and nothing comes cheap here. I had a lamb gyro (huge) a plate of shrimp and rice which was a generous portion of decent size shrimp, and my bottle of water. All for the whopping price of $18.00. I have never eaten so good, both in quality and quantity for so little. It was absolutely delicious in every way. These guys know how to do what they do and should never change a thing. Great satisfying meal for less then 20 bucks... I highly recommend you find this place and enjoy every minute of it. read more

I came here for the first time and really liked the food. I mean for $10 it was well worth it. I ordered the chicken and lamb on rice which I highly recommend getting. read more

If you're like me an skeptical to try cause you have no idea what the white sauce is, don't be! In fact my advice is this, order the lamb and rice with EXTRA white sauce, and mix everything, salad included, into a big bowl and enjoy. read more

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FOOD!! Every bite was flavorful. Made me feel like that scene in Ratatouille! Service was wonderful, though I would park across the street as it is a weird neighborhood read more

This food truck is comparable to the chicken and rice truck in NYC. Our favorites are the lamb and rice combo, falafels and wraps!

OMG. Lamb gyro with spicy sauce. $7. So good. I have spicy sauce all over my face and don't care. In fact, I want another one. I live a 45 minute drive from here and seldom come this way, but I'm already thinking about driving up here another time just to eat here again. read more

By far the best Gyros I've ever had. Their food is absolutely delicious. Portions are generous and they definitely don't skimp. I'm definitely a repeat customer! read more

This place is a gem in Lowell. Went here on a whim one day and have been back as often as I can since then. I have never tried Egyptian food prior and have definitely been missing out. I even went to an a similar place in Boston and realized Egyptian Grill is in a league of their own. Their food is absolutely amazing and affordable as most of their meals are under $12 Everything here is delicious from the chicken gyro to the chicken and lamb combination plate. The portions are very generous and include rice and salad. My favorite is chicken and falafel plate extra spicy (for the adventurous ones). The staff is always friendly and the wait time is generally fast, however gets a little busy around the lunch and dinner times at the college. Highly recommend this place and will be back soon! read more

Best plates and great portions! Great plates to eat atleast once or twice a month! ( I bought it every week and couldn't do it anymore haha)

dear lord, thank you for taste buds. and thank you for Egyptian Grill This place is a gem but easily missed. Across the street frim UMass Lowell on Riverside in a permanent food truck location, this is THE SPOT in Lowell. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING is amazing here. The staff is friendly and prompt. oh did i mentioned that the prices are incredible? grateful college students line up for not only their lamb but chicken wings! But oldies like me trip it out from Stoneham for it too. I wish they could make it a chain, they could park another food truck in my driveway if they want read more

THE BEST! I've been here at least a dozen times and the food is consistently good. Prices are cheap and the serving sizes are very generous. I usually get the chicken/falafel combo over rice, and it is always hot and fresh. The same guys have been working the truck for the past few years and they are very friendly. I've even gotten a free drink on a few occasions when they recognize me. Can't recommend this place enough. read more
