Awesome place to eat some halal food. The lamb over rice is so good it's ridiculous. Lamb is nice and tender and not crazy chewy. White sauce awesome but I personally ask for it spicy and with extra hot sauce in the side to give it some more heat. Only 4 stars because I've been here only once. I had the chicken and rice extra spicy (wasn't overly spicy though). Very flavorful and well balanced spices. Chicken and rice also came with a small side salad. It is a food truck so there isn't really any place to eat. Right next to UMass Lowell north campus (across from the science building). Probably gets really busy during lunch (I was there at 1:30 and there were just a few people waiting). I will be back and probably will bring a friend. $0.50 charge for using credit cards. Prices didn't seem to be listed on their menu board but the food was cheap. read more

I was so happy when this arrived on campus. Halal food was a treat for me to get every once in a wile when i went back home on school breaks, because there just were not any places in MA i found with decent gyros and halal in general. This place is amazing, they are very friendly, and the food is incredible. There is nothing negative to say at all, i have never had one problem. They are fast and the food is always fresh, the smell of the truck starting up right around 11 AM is incredible when walking to class. My only warning is the red sauce is VERY HOT, i enjoy it and they do warn you before hand that it is very spicy. I recommend getting it on the side for your first time, because for some people it may be too spicy, but i love it. read more

It boggles my mind why there's not a crazy line each time I go. I've gone there four times in two weeks, bringing different people each time. My fave is the lamb plate. I get the hot sauce on the side bc it's HOT AF-- and I love hot. It comes with a garden salad that I enjoy, topped with a couple chickpeas and black olives. Hubby is picky and annoying (irrelevant) and only eats chicken. I made him try the chicken plate through all his reluctancy. I couldn't tell him it's a yogurt sauce on top bc it'd freak him out. I've continued to come here about once per week and have yet to have anything negative to say about the food or the workers. One day I came with an order for 6 meals to go (it was a family affair that night!) and the food was still hot, delicious, and served with a smile. Until today the Egyptian Grille has been amazing - (ordering for 4-5 people) You couldn't complain until today.... Everything but the rice was good .... Usually the rice is like WOW - this time is was like "Th' Fk" - It was very watery .. The food is absolutely amazing here. I finally headed over after all the rave reviews from this place and I'm glad I did. I got the Falafel over rice which comes with a side Greek salad and was absolutely delish. I added a side of french fries which were also good. The portion size is very generous and the prices are excellent. Be careful parking in the lot where its permit parking only because you can get ticketed. I don't think there's any provided parking for this establishment however, this does not deter the large amount of people that come here to indulge in the amazing flavors of Egypt. My favorite food truck to go to every time I'm in Lowell! Their chicken and rice plate with hot sauce is honestly the best. I'm usually VERY picky on how chicken and rice is made being ethnic myself, so let me tell you how it's actually cooked correctly here. The rice isn't stiff or undercooked, it's supple and freshly made. The chicken isn't bone dry nor does it have a raw texture. It's flavorful and done rightfully that it can be eaten with or without hot sauce. However, I love spicy and think it's a fantastic combo. The salad on the side is a nice add-on as well! Damn, I looked for a place to eat close to the planet fitness I just lifted at. This place a solid reviews and I love a good gyro... what I had tho was not a good gyro, it was a phenomenal gyro. And I also had a plate of large shrimp and rice with a side of salad. It was all absolutely delicious and one of the best value meals I've ever eaten. Mind you, I'm in the Boston MA area and nothing comes cheap here. I had a lamb gyro (huge) a plate of shrimp and rice which was a generous portion of decent size shrimp, and my bottle of water. All for the whopping price of $18.00. I have never eaten so good, both in quality and quantity for so little. It was absolutely delicious in every way. This place is a gem in Lowell. Went here on a whim one day and have been back as often as I can since then. I have never tried Egyptian food prior and have definitely been missing out. I even went to an a similar place in Boston and realized Egyptian Grill is in a league of their own. Their food is absolutely amazing and affordable as most of their meals are under $12 Everything here is delicious from the chicken gyro to the chicken and lamb combination plate. The portions are very generous and include rice and salad. My favorite is chicken and falafel plate extra spicy (for the adventurous ones). The staff is always friendly and the wait time is generally fast, however gets a little busy around the lunch and dinner times at the college.
