If you're looking for solid Mediterranean food, look no further than Pera grill! I ordered catered lunch here via Relish. For that reason, I can't speak to the ambiance or quality of service that Pera Grill offers. However, I can tell from the food that they mix in some TLC! Generous portions and quality ingredients. You won't be disappointed!

I'm typically in Lowell every other week. Bro in law recommended trying Pera for lunch. Told him I was actually craving for some Mediterranean food. I wanted the whole rice bowl with toppings and then some type of sauce drizzled on top. Rice bowl is a little under $12 for one protein, 5 toppings, and two sauces of your choice. For the price, the portion was really generous . I got the lamb rice bowl. Their red cabbage was so good. Somewhat like a slaw. The tomatoes/cucumbers were so refreshing . Their Garlic sauce was so good.... I legit would pick their garlic sauce over halal guys. The lamb was ok. It was lacking flavor for me. I think sticking to their chicken will be better. That is why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5. I will for sure come back and try their chicken doner . Definitely a good spot to stop by and grab lunch. Overall, it was definitely good and I highly recommend giving it a try.

    Supposedly this is chicken.

Came here with a buddy of mine because he wanted some Mediterranean food and boy were we disappointed. Let's just say that the service was the only positive part of our trip. He got the spicy chicken pita sandwich and the chicken tasted like a flavorless pre-frozen processed chicken patty full of cartilage. I got the braised beef... I don't think they know what braised beef is supposed to taste like because it was almost flavorless and very dry. As a Mediterranean man myself I was completely embarrassed for our food to be represented in this manner. Never going there again. Although the music is on point.

Nice quiet restaurant. Very clean. The ordering menu (Step #1, 2 , 3 ) reads from right to left, so start far right as you are ordering (just like Chipotle). Options to add (but not limited to) include dice beets, corn, shredded carrots, kalamata olives and arugula. Everything was fresh and the Chicken Doner was tender for the pita I ordered. I ordered hummus to go and it was delightful. Definitely a healthier option and sauces add flavor based on your choice.

Definitely recommend if you're looking for fresh and flavorful Mediterranean food! I love how you get to choose what's in your bowl. The tzatziki is soooo good!!

I was so excited when I came to know this restaurant was opening in my neighborhood. We don't have a nice falafel place around and so I was literally counting down days for its opening. They have nicely renovated the place. It is definitely cuter than the previous restaurant at the same location. Their renovation has made the space more open with lots of light and cute interior. Here is our take away from our first meal we ate here yesterday: Pros: *The falafel is super delicious it is a little different from your traditional falafel but nonetheless very tasty. Crispy on the outside and soft from the inside, husband and I loved every bite of it. *The bean salad was tasty as well. *The eggplant in tomato sauce was amazing and paired well with their soft hot pita. Must order!! Areas where they need to make a few improvements: *For a place that serves food where most of the items are pre-made, it took them about 25 minutes to get our meal ready. It was taking long for everyone else's orders as well. I understand that their employees might be new and getting a hang of things, but turnaround times for orders need to worked on. I understand that they just opened and I'm hoping that overtime it will get better. *The biggest fail was their rice. It had no seasoning and was al dente. I like my rice on the fully cooked/softer side and did not enjoy their rice at all. *The portions overall are fine but the way they make their bowl needs to be worked on. The proportion to rice versus other toppings is way off. Most of our bowl was filled with rice. The other toppings like tzatziki, baba ghanoush and other veggies we really skimmed on. If you are including certain toppings in the price of the bowl you need to give enough quantity to be able to enjoy it. We got a one teaspoon of the tzatziki and baba ganoush, a few spoons of salad and rest of the bow was all rice. They were out of grilled veggies so we could not try that. *The portion size for the french fries was fine, they were crispy as well. But there was no seasoning, not even salt on them. Pretty bland for our taste. The meal was more of a three star but I'm giving them four because I know that there's a lot of scope for improvement and that they have just opened. We definitely want to try more dishes from the menu, so looking forward to eating here again soon.

That's a heavy load to take on and he does a great job at it. Everything is super cheap here and taste great. If you're a student at Middlesex Community college like me. Let's face it, theres days when we're broke and need a place to grab a cheap quick lunch. This is definitely the spot. Pizza rolls: I love these things. He made them perfectly and you can tell he hand rolls them himself. And they're only a $1!! Double cheeseburger: BOMB! I'm so picky with burgers. I don't give a shit if it's messy looking, lets be real. If it tastes good, it's serving it's purpose. I'm super picky and customized it as I liked and he accommodated it. Thank you! Not many places do! Fries: perfectly crunchy. Not soft and soggy like most places. Maybe a little less seasoning. I know not a lot of people like spicy foods. But I enjoy it. Chicken Kabob Plate: my boyfriend and I split this because of how big it was. We ordered it with extra rice instead of the usual side of salad it comes with. The owner offered us either Indian or Spanish rice. We went with the Spanish and it tasted great, it even had vegetables in it. The chicken was nice and juicy with grilled peppers and onions. The rice and chicken had a nice kick to it. Not too spicy and just flavor. Chicken and Fries (not pictured): My boyfriend devoured this. The chicken is definitely not anything like crown fried or Jacqueline's chicken. The owner literally uses his own recipe. My boyfriend loved it and the chicken looked really fresh and juicy. He swallowed the thing before I even got a chance to take a picture of it lol. Please go visit guys! This little place has so much potential. It might seem a little stand off it by the looks of it but it's worth going in and trying it out The owner is so sweet, he even offered my boyfriend a free banana milkshake while he waited for the food to be done. Thanks Jimmy! Try it out! You won't regret it !

I was excited to see that Chez Rafiki's was the food truck that day because I love Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine. After looking over the menu, I decided to order Chez Rafiki's Special: the "Chicken Killer" (Rice, Fries, Chicken Shawarma, Pickled Red Onion, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Garlic Sauce, Feta Cheese). I also ordered a side of Falafel. I absolutely loved the Chicken Killer; a symphony of Mediterranean flavors and spices. My son has never tried this kind of cuisine before. He wouldn't touch the Chicken Killer but he absolutely loved the Falafel. He happily gobbled down half of the Falafel balls. I would definitely order from Chez Rafiki's again if I saw them at another brewery or festival.

The pistachio baklava was the highlight--so good that people were literally competing for the last piece. I used to live in this neighborhood a long time ago and have seen a lot of businesses come and go in this little corner of Ballardvale. Lulu's is easy to miss since it's near the train tracks, but it's absolutely worth finding. The family who runs it is incredibly kind and welcoming--once, I was late picking up an order because of traffic, and they stayed open just to make sure I got my food. That kind of service is rare.
