This place is genuinely amazing. I go fairly frequently and it's genuinely some of the best food in MA. The meat - literally whatever meat you choose is amazing. I've had lamb, chicken, and kofta and they've all been DELECTABLE. I absolutely love the salads and the portions are big enough to give me 2-3 meals out of 1 plate! Finally made my way here - it is located right next to UML's North campus so prepare for some traffic across the bridge. I ordered the onion rings and chicken and lamb plate - it took about 5 minutes. Portions are huge like the other reviews mentioned. The onion rings were so hot, crispy, and flavorful - you can see that oil on the bag so you know it'll be good! For the plate, unpopular opinion but I didn't love the white sauce. I've had Halal Guys, but this was too mayo-ey for me, and there was *a lot* of it (and covered all the salad). I wish there was more hot sauce, so next time I'll probably ask for less white sauce or white sauce on the side and extra hot sauce. The hot sauce is hot, so it's great on top of the white sauce. The chicken also wasn't as flavorful as the lamb. I can see why this is such an establishment - fast food and huge portions! My order cost about $25, so increased prices but that's inflation nowadays. They also have drinks for sale. read more

Ask for extra white sauce and you might not be able to see your food underneath. I been eating here for years. The best place to get some lamb and chicken over rice. The white sauce is incredible and they are very generous with it on the plate. I get the same plate every time and it comes out within 2 minutes it is very quick. Most popular food truck right by campus and a go to lunch spot for me. I was a HUGE FAN of Egyptian Grill, we used to do take out once a month from here. It has been a disappointment for following reasons - 1. The prices have insanely increased - Its $17 per plate for chicken and falafel bowl, which is not justified for a food truck. In the end it is fast food, to go place. The prices are as much as a sit and dine restaurant. 2. They dont put enough sauce (red and white) and when you request for extra sauce, they charge you $1 per small sauce box. Ideally, it should be free but a dollar per sauce is too much 3. Lastly, the food quality has gone down. The last time we ordered, the food was undercooked and cold. To that, it became my LAST TIME of going to Egyptian Grill. I mean at least for college students on Lowell Univ campus, they should have been mindful of increases the prices. read more

So, I have been to this place twice. The food is pretty tasty and reminds me a lot of The Halal Guys in NYC. They are also quite generous with their portions, so if you get a plate, it easily could be shared or divided into 2-3 meals. Unfortunately, I think the customer service is missing the mark here. I've interacted with employees who appear friendly and wanting to help; for me, the issue has been with (who I think is) the owner. The first time I wasn't sure if maybe it was aloofness or having a bad day, but the second visit confirmed a standoffish vibe--a feeling of somehow being inconvenienced by wanting to order from their food truck? Eh. It really put a damper on the visit. I also personally observed the treatment to be inconsistent with another patron, so it made me further wonder. It was a throwaway sentence in another review I wrote that got me here, some poor imitation of an Asian restaurant in the distant exurbs of Lowell. In response, I received an indignant personal message that there was, indeed, food to be found in the mill towns between Boston and Manchester, and I should start at the Egyptian Grill. Well, Dirgni J., I listened, and you were right. This is one hell of a great find, and impossible if you don't have local insight. It's a couple of miles off I-495, tucked around a corner from sight of VFW Pkwy., just sitting in a nacelle by the campus of UMass-Lowell. I don't think it's ever moved from that spot, because it doesn't have to. It does a robust business serving quality Egyptian (Middle Eastern, in essence) food exactly as it is. Starting with the first mandatory star that Yelp requires: Second star: Value. You get a ton of food for a featherweight of money. This is built around the college budget. Third star: Quality. The flavors are authentic. The meat is all protein, no gristle. There is no skimping of any kind. Fourth star: Falafel. It's so good, it gets its own star. Having had some terrible falafel since, I miss Egyptian Grill all the more. Fifth star: Service. It's not the quickest, but it's not all that slow either. And they take credit. Dirgni J. also recommended Heng Lay to me. After the wondrousness of Egyptian Grill, I bet he's right. But it's going to be hard to eat somewhere besides this truck when I return to Lowell. read more

It came out super fast but still hot and fresh & the price wasn't bad either- I think it was about $13-$14 for the whole thing which is definitely enough to feed two people, or have leftovers!
