Hidden gem doesn't even begin to describe this restaurant. THE FOOD WAS AMAZING! we ordered the falafel plate and the shawarma chicken sandwich and both plates were 10/10. A homey restaurant! While mostly take-out, I dined in and enjoyed the food, efficient and kind service, and free baklava that came with our meal (order of two plates came with one order of baklava). We tried the lamb and beef shawarma and the falafel plate. Both were tasty! They also have several pickled fixins for sale as well as spice mixes. Prices were also very reasonable! Came here after seeing an overwhelmingly positive number of reviews and I just can't understand why. The food is OK at best and portion sizes are tiny. Ordered 5 sandwhiches in total and they are largely pitas filled with vegetables and a small amount of meat. For a the prices they charge one would honestly expect more. This was a nice surprise! We were staying in the area in an effort to be a little closer to Logan Express for an early international flight. Looked for a local place to grab a quick dinner and stumbled upon this place. The service was quick and helpful, very kind and answered any questions we had about the menu (mostly about the teas). I dropped by for ten minutes while it was rainy. The shop is small, but feels cozy and intimate. I was greeted quickly and was given a sample of Yafa's chai and then a small baklava roll, both of which were delicious, flavorful, and, in the case of the baklava, not too sweet. I took both a cheese and za'atar manoushe and a kunafah cream home with me, and heated them up as was instructed. The manoushe bread was soft, and the cheese and za'atar combination was great. Chicken Pita, fries with cheese, and grape leaves. Everything was good. My chicken was a little dry and the fries could have been crispier, but by and large, everything was solid. Cookies do not appear to be made here (or if they are they're packaged several days beforehand). First, service was so prompt , warm and professional. Young lady at the counter was very kind and smiled. I would suggest coming here as oppose to Turkish Mediterranean. As for the entree, I had the Chicken Kabob Roll. It was fresh, entree was not too salty. Middle Aged men like me have to be careful about servings of salt. Ambience is non existent. The falafel were ginormous but because of this they were burned. The hummus tasted like it was from a can and the tahini was even worse. My husband's kofta was raw in the middle and completely inedible I had the chicken Shawarma salad. The vegetables tasted fresh, but not too sure about the chicken. It was pretty gross. Sorry but the tabbouleh we got was soggy and old and, worst of it, there was sand or soil in it. We had to throw it away. They gave us some baklava as an apology but still we left with a "never again feeling" supported by the toughness of my lamb kebab, which was a repetition from a visit a couple of years ago. read more

I am a regular at this wonderful restaurant. The food is always fresh and delicious. The menu is quite varied and you can get wonderful schwarma sandwiches and salads and so much more. Each year, I bring my high school Mock Trial Team for our end of season luncheon and the owner always makes us feel welcome as 18 high school student celebrate, make noise and savor the great food he serves. Genuinely one of the best cafes I have ever been to. The service is top tier and well-run. I got an iced chai and Muska Kataifi Pistacio which were incredibly fresh and flavorful without being too sweet. The area is very homey and colorful, which is supported by the attitudes of everyone there. They are incredibly generous with their delicious samples that I have not seen from many cafes in the area. I will be coming here again and again to try the rest of their desserts because they really are a cut above the rest. read more

I just tried this place for the first time and unfortunately wasn't a fan. The cheese fries were not seasoned and were basically soggy fried covered in cheese. No flavor whatsoever. The Greek salad did not come with house dressing, rather just covered in olive oil and vinegar. That's not Greek dressing. The falafel was fine, nothing to write home about. What surprised me about this restaurant was the cleanliness. Usually I see a single counter , few table restaurant, has having some dirt someplace. Not this location. It was inviting with its appearance. The staff was very friendly and understood the menu. It was a true pleasure. Peering into the kitchen it looked inviting as well. The food quality was high, the price extremely fair, making this a value restaurant. The food was first rate . Everything we tried was delicious. Definitely a place needing a return visit. I do believe the hours listed on yelp currently short-change the hours they are open....and I am pleased they are currently open later in the evening (the door claimed 9 PM).
