First of all, the staff is both friendly and informative. I happen to be Middle Eastern so I was familiar with most of the items on the menu. My friend was not, and the man at the counter explained everything. We ordered Taziki as an app and then ordered lamb gyros. Both were delicious. The bread was perfect. The dip was perfect and the gyro was one of the best I ever had. I ordered a side of french fries and they were seasoned and also delicious. I strongly recommend anybody who likes Middle Eastern food to go there. I grew up on it. In fact, growing up in Lawrence, I worked in the number one Middle Eastern restaurant in the state at that time, called Bishops. So I know my Middle Eastern food. J-EYE-ro? JEER-o? YIEE-ro? So many opinions on how to pronounce gyro. But I pronounce it "delicious!" I've sampled the chicken, the beef and the lamb. All absolutely excellent. The portion size is variable. I've had it "generous" and I've had it "Whoa - that's a LOT of food". They're not covered with a standard tzatziki sauce - theirs is more feta forward. Super tasty. The fries vary as well. Sometimes a bit crunchier and sometimes, while still crunchy, more toward McD fries style. But it's just the outer surface that crunches. Inside it's smooth and creamy. Top drawer. You'll find that they tuck a few fries into the wrap. A nice touch. The only negative point is speed. I've always been there early - the first for lunch. But it still takes a fair bit of time to get the food. Arrive during the crowded time and you're definitely going to be waiting around. But ... worth it. They have a lot more on the menu and have an interesting alcohol free beer/soda that was new to me and a nice change from actual soda. Definitely worth a visit. read more

I'm giving this place a conditional four-star. My partner enjoyed her gyro, with chicken very much. My beef gyro was just okay. It was a little spongy. The spicy hummus was quite good. The interior of the restaurant is actually quite nice, but it's quite stuffy in here... Could do some AC or some more fans. Also, some Lebanese or Mediterranean music would be a welcome addition. The staff was very friendly. I did say to them that I was willing to try anything they recommended. Good solid place. Got take out because restaurant was too hot to sit inside. AC was broken. The hummus and babaganoush was outstanding as well as the grilled meats and the salad was fresh. When I asked for salad dressing they handed me a packet of Ken's dressing. This made you loose the star. That is nasty stuff. This place would have been perfect if it wasn't for that. Best pita bread, different tsaziki sauce - not the best I ever had (had to think a moment to determine that) - but different from that in a good way. The best baba ganoush i ever had - and I have never liked it anywhere but here. The hummus was clearly old, and so compared to everything else it stood out like a sore thumb. The spicy hummus is really spicy. Unless you like truly spicy food, like you add a spoon of chili to everything you eat, don't get it. I hate to see food wasted. I would recommend they give you a spoon to try it out before they serve it to you. Food should not be wasted. The mix meat grilled was really good. Among the best I ever had, except for the chicken which seemed cold and old by comparison. Every other meat on the skewers was like super savory, soft and every tiny bite of it was pure joy. And I mean every word of it. It was unforgettable. Service was super lack luster. Plates remained on the table for long before they were removed, I never saw them clean the table and there was hardly anyone else at the restaurant when we went so there are no excuses. Turkish coffee was different and epic, even without milk. If the wait staff were changed, this place could become a legend because they got the food right for sure. I will be back - for take out. A lot of room and comfy furniture and the menu selection has a good offerings of Gyros, Kebobs, Shawarma, Salads and Bowl offerings. I had the Lamb Bowl for lunch and it was worth the price packed with a good portion of Lamb slices, rice and salad. I opted for the garlic sauce. Can't go wrong for lunch here. read more

I was traveling for work and really craved some stuffed grape leaves. Doordashed from this place in downtown Manchester to my hotel and I was NOT disappointed! I got the chicken skewer meal (comes with three sides - I chose baba g, salad and of course, grape leaves). The chicken portion and baba g portions were HUGE! The chicken was super juicy and seasoned well. The baba g was soooo bomb - Smokey and creamy perfection. The grape leaves definitely hit the spot - it was exactly what I was looking for. Tried this place recently and overall had a great experience, we choose to eat there. Overall the food was great, didn't have anything we didn't enjoy, and there was plenty of food for both of us to feel quite full for the rest of the day. We ordered at the counter, and grabbed a number and booth. Food came out prompt, and was hot. We tried some dishes we were never had, and we were both plesently surprised. The Kunafeh desert cheese was a total a game changer, mind blow this was awesome. 2 Turkish coffee's, $6, Sigara Burek Cheese $9, and was rich and tastes great, Kafta Kebab, $15 and we split it between the two of us. Kunafeh $9, and Turkish Baklava who says you can't have dessert before and after dinner? We did! Total check $49.91 with tax. The only negative, was the area were you dispose of your trash and stack your trays at the end of the meal was full of trash and empty plates, like it had not been attended to since the busy lunch rush. A few months ago I saw a huge billboard advertising Basha and since my husband and I are foodies and are always looking for a good place to eat we decided to give it a try. We have traveled to Morocco and eaten some of the best Mediterranean food so we hoped Basha wouldn't disappoint...y'all it didn't!!! The food was amazing and the ambiance was so cute and clean. The owner had a great personality and was really attentive. I ordered the leg of lamb because I recently got some work done on my teeth and needed soft food and when I tell you this lamb was like butter the rice was so moist and delcious. The entire dish was flavorful. My husband had a Gyro which he also loved and said it was the best he's had even better than our travels. The seasonings were truly authentic and fresh. The portions are plentiful to share or have some to take home. We had knafeh, baklava, Turkish coffee and tea for dessert and were so stuffed when leaving. Funny enough we were already talking about what we would order on our next visit. This review is dedicated in loving memory of Lisa Amaya from El Paso, TX. Thank you for always encouraging me to write honest and entertainingly detailed reviews. Al Basha was yet another one of those "accidental finds" that we occasionally come across. Apropos of attending my son's first football game of the season, we looked this place up due to its close proximity to said game and discovered their 4.5 star average. Well, it's *kinda* 4 star. More like 3 and a half for us. And before you locals come @ me with pitchforks, allow me to explain my position. Now, I'll be the first to admit there's a bias involved once you have a basis for comparison. Case in point: Amphora in Derry. Amphora has arguably the best chicken gyro wrap I have ever tasted so far. So naturally, I order the same thing here at Al Basha. And since I can't help but compare these two, let's do that now. Al Basha's version of a chicken gyro consists of all the usual ingredients you'd find in one of these and everything blends just fine. My main problem with this gyro, however, is the wrap itself. This slightly dubious pita bread (assuming it even IS pita) looked a tad too scorched on the outside; unlike its competitors who typically serve you a warm, soft, savory wrap with no crispiness or flaking whatsoever. While it wasn't a show stopper, it was distracting. But as I said, the flavors mostly worked for me. It's just that I've definitely had better elsewhere. 6 out of 10, I'd try it again only if there was nothing else worth trying (which there is). Wifey has a similar bias as me, except her favorite is Main Street Gyro in Nashua. She got a lamb gyro which...surprise, surprise, was okay...but not as good as her usual go-to. See the pattern here? To me (to us?), this place is okay, at best. It's one of those places where you order and pay first, with the option to either dine in or take it out. The interior is a bit dull, drab, and small. Ergo, you might wanna consider the second option. Let me warn you all right now though: the service here is slower than watching Congress attempt to pass a bill. We waited over 45 minutes for an order that probably should have taken about 20 minutes. My guess is they're operating with only one chef in the back. Because that's the only explanation for handing out orders at a snail's pace. For context, there were probably two or three other parties there, at best. Sure hope that lone chef is getting paid the big bucks! So, I mean....if we saw ourselves in this part of Manch Vegas often, we *might* come by again, if only to try other menu items. Simultaneously though, there's a ton of other places nearby worth trying that I'd venture to before returning here again. Overall, not bad. But not that great either. I'm giving Al Basha Mediterranean Grill 3 chicken gyros wrapped in a crunchy pita thing out of 5. read more

We had an excellent shwarma wraps! Beef and chicken, the meat was tender and bursting with flavor. The veggies were a perfect balance and the wrap was soft enough to encircle the large goodness packed sandwich but also slightly crispy too! To top it off, the sauce to pour on...no idea what it is, creamy, Parmesan garlic sauce mixed.... Great hole in the wall find! We are always seeking out good food and preferably international flavors. My husband found this place when we were running some errands and happy to say that we've gone twice and looking forward to the next time. This is one of the best Mediterranean food places in Manchester and I have tried most places! I was not a fan of that place on Elm St but I digress. The service here is quick and friendly. The market next door is a plus and nice addition to the neighborhood. The lamb gyro is my favorite thing on the menu and the kebab wrap is a close second. You need to try this place!
