We happen upon this place in Andover, because we were going to the big picture framing shop right by it. It looked good, it smelled good, and they were plenty of people inside. When I checked yelp, it had really good reviews too, so it was worth the try. I was really impressed with the ordering experience. They knew what they were doing. And if this obviously wasn't their first place. Although the chicken Shawarma was hanging and could be cut at any time dripping with juices, they actually had a container full already cut chicken Shawarma. Looks really, really juicy fresh and yummy. So we would pass on Shwarma next time. Too bad. For the dinners, two shows chicken Shawarma one chose halloumi salad, and one chose falafel plate. For the sides, we tried the hummus, vermicelli, rice, regular potatoes, spicy potatoes, Fattoush salad, and all looked really good. The atmosphere looks to be the type that I wouldn't really want to sit and have a romantic dinner at, but it does have a nice bar on the side, and there were a few people sitting and enjoying the trick with their food. We got takeout. The chicken Shawarma was pretty dry, and could have used a little bit more spice. We got the garlic aïoli on the side, and it matched it well. The hummus is excellent consistency, but needs a bit more spice also. Perhaps some of the dry spice they sell in the store. The halloumi on top of the salad is excellent. Really excellent. We drove a half hour to get home, so the halloumi was no longer warm, but that's expected. The salad under the halloumi, was really good. Very fresh, a bit different with the mandarin oranges, raisins, and slivered, almonds, and it all went well together.The dressing that comes with it, is the fig, balsamic vinaigrette, and that tasted just like a bottled fig balsamic glaze. It's the sticky very strong taste, and it was perfect on the salad and the cheese. Tabouli was great taste and yummy. So fresh. Disappointed in the pita, wish they were cooked in house. Cookies for dessert were pretty amazing. Homemade in house and they tasted it, and though they were kind of pricey, we would probably get them again. We really liked this place. 4 stars because of the dry shwarma. read more

It's a great fast casual spot with fresh offerings. Surprisingly, despite arriving in the hour before close, the food remained fairly fresh and the potatoes were crispy. This is our second time visiting, and we will surely return. A great addition to the North Andover food scene. read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch! There are places to sit inside, but I got an order to-go. They have lots of booths by the windows. I ordered the chicken salad bowl. The staff was really nice and worked quickly. The salad was a really good portion and I split it into 2 meals. There are tons of options for toppings and all the menu items sounded great. Stopped for lunch while out riding my motorcycle on a Saturday morning. They have new, large,bright, spacious location and provide very fresh Mediterranean fare with fast, friendly service. The food at the Pita Thyme is great . One or two items are little on the bland side like the chicken kebab and Shawarma. Little more spicing them up would make them perfect. The pricing for a plate with one protein and three sides are up there with rest. pricing just as FYI My standard order is usually Rice, Hummus and spicy potatoes with Chicken Shawarma . I love their pickles as well but to get a side of them it is quite expensive at $5.99. side of pickles should not be that high i feel. Overall the quality is always great , fresh and the quantity has always been standard . This has become one of my favorite spots for a casual lunch or dinner to go. I absolutely love the shawarma wrap. If you want the convenience of a quick fast food meal but with something fresh and delicious and high quality, this place is absolutely the place to go. In addition to the wraps, I love the spicy potatoes, such a great alternate to fries as well as the falafel and the hummus. In addition to quality food, the employees that work here provide fast and very friendly service. It has the feel a family restaurant where all employees act like owners. While I'm still heartbroken over the loss of the North Andover Howling Wolf location, Pita Thyme is excellent and I'm glad they're here. To my knowledge there aren't any other restaurants like this in the area. The menu is similar to those of other Mediterranean restaurants in Boston (where the original Pita Thyme is, although their website says that location is hibernating for the winter). Rollups, plates, and salads with chicken and beef shawarma and falafels. There's a lot of options for sides as well. For my first order I had the chicken shawarma plate with spicy potatoes, hummus, and fattoush salad and added falafel. Everything was fresh and flavorful. I've been to Mediterranean restaurants that skimped on the seasoning but Pita Thyme makes sure everything is well-seasoned. The portions were good for the price. I also had a triple chocolate chip cookie which was yummy. They have a few different flavors so I want to try the other ones and the baklava too. Online ordering was easy and I got an email confirmation when my order was ready for pickup, which ended up being earlier than the estimated time when I ordered. Located in a strip mall with many other restaurants and shops, this fast casual restaurant is awesome. (There is a Boston branch as well.) The staff are very friendly and go out of the way to make sure the food is assembled to your specifications. The kefta pita wrap is not to be missed! Each bite contains meat, veggies, and pickles. No real flavor. Good pickles Lentil soup just OK Since we had delivery, the "crispy" spuds were sadly no longer. Take my advice, if you want good Lebanese/Mediterranean food, go to Yalla. Shout out to Pita Thyme! We ordered catering for 15 last night (falafel, steak kebobs, and chicken kebobs plus a mediterranean salad) and it was amazing. It came with hummus, baba ganoush, tabouleh, a mountain of pita bread, a bunch of pita chips, plus a tray of "fixings", a squeeze bottle of tahini, and a squeeze bottle of Greek salad dressing. Love this place. the food is well prepared, fresh, and authentically Lebanese. only discovered it about a year ago, and have made several repeat trips. favorites are the chicken shawarma plate with rice ( fabulous) and baba ganouush. While passing through the Windham/Lawrence area, I was scanning various Plazas for little mom and pop places I might wanna stop for lunch at on my way back. Sure enough, I spy a place with an herb pun in their name... So I'm widdit right away LOL Most of the time(thyme), for a vegetarian, Mediterranean food is a safe bet. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was modern rustic and you could tell they were selling healthy/fresh ingredients based on the decor. The menu was big, legible and helpful in my search for vegetarian dishes. The falafel pita caught my eye as the tastiest option for eating while driving. It came with pickles, lettuce, banana peppers taziki and tahini. They had a "chipotle/subway" style assembly line which afforded me the opportunity to see what other things I could add into the wrap. I added some cucumber and feta for the win. She drizzled on some hot sauce and I grabbed a three pack of small baklava pieces as I left. I spent under $15 and they got me in and out very quickly. Although the falafel itself was not cooked to order, it was still warm and tender with just the right amount of crisp on the outside. Still not the best I've had so far... Chik-n-Gyro in the Orlando area... but it definitely satisfied my Mediterranean craving for the time being. There was a distinct lack of moisture throughout the entire wrap, mostly due to a below average amount of sauces. The pickle had an unfortunate starring role as the most flavorful vegetable. Had I known, I would have asked for little or no pickle. All together, it was very good and I would definitely stop there again if I was in that area. read more
