My first visit to the Yard House. We enjoyed our food. I ordered a cobb salad, no bacon, with salmon. It was very good, I wish the salmon could have been a tad bit bigger, but it was all good. So usually this is one of my absolute favorite Happy Hour spots. I was pretty hungry and indecisive. I was super bummed to learn that they took the Spicy Thai chicken pizza off the menu. Its so freaking delicious! Luckily I know how to make it on my own. So I order Moo Shoo eggrolls and crab cakes. I always order the egg rolls. I take one bite and I'm like wtf... They're loaded with cream cheese! Yuck. They weren't so bad that they were inedible but definitely won't be ordering them anymore if that's how they make them. The waitress tried to tell me that cream cheese has always been inside and all the 4 plus years I've been ordering them I don't recall. Also this time they were served on top of cabbage and usually they're on top of spiral sweet potato which I was looking forward to. I really enjoyed the crab cakes. Crispy exteriors and very flavorful. They were served over field greens and I ate that with the mango sauce they put on top. The crab cakes are tiny but not fulfilling considering other HH items. This is the third time we come here where we got uncooked chicken. I had a feeling it was raw when I bit into it and sooo happy I didn't finish my plate, which was Boneless Buffalo wings. I got food poisoning as soon as I got home. Last time we were here, we had to send it back because it wasn't cooked. They also have a late happy hour at 10pm. My favorite thing here that keeps me coming back is the poke nachos. So freakin good. I'm so happy it's on the list for happy hour. The fish is always fresh, the sweet n salty soy with the drizzle of cream sauce is just so good together. My husband loves the chicken sandwich & fries. He said the pizza is good too. We also liked the cheese curdles with the 2 dipping sauces. The lumpia is good too. Ok on its own, but the truffle sauce makes it better & is unique. It comes with a sweet n sour sauce too. This Yardhouse is probably the most accommodating and nicest Yardhouse in so cal. Best outdoor seating as well. Service was bad only one time I went, and when I let the manager know about what was going on, she had someone else take over and it was smooth sailing the rest of the night lol. The Yard House is growing on me and this is coming from someone that doesn't really drink. When I look at the pricier casual restaurants ( Cheesecake factory / Kings Fish House / Karl Strauss / etc ) the family always gravitates to the Yard House. I think it's because of the menu ( which also includes vegetarian Gardein options) and tasty kids menu. It also doesn't hurt that it's the coldest place to eat in sweltering Temecula. I called in after happy hour started and asked if I could order on the phone for pick up or if I had to order there for happy hour pricing. They said that I could order on the phone with the HH pricing. I get there and see they opened up two tabs with my name, one being happy hour pricing around 17 bucks and the other 36...they literally put in my order at HH pricing and then opened up another tab without HH pricing. They said sorry, couldn't honor what their employee said on the phone, and entered into the system. I left and won't be going back...lost a customer and got a bad review for what? What would Duff Goldman, Paul Hollywood, Nadiya Hussain say about disgusting rest rooms and hair in the food, oily cleaning cloths leaving chairs with grease stains. Level up yard house. This means red flags in Kitchen in correlation to filthy restrooms. Leaders bathroom need to be clean. Training development with waiters that using the same glove to bring your food, wipe the tables , handle money. Very unhygienic. Food safety regulations require anyone handling or prepared food to wear gloves right, change them out, wash hands, You're at the cash register of a takeout restaurant and the cashier first takes your money and then hands you your food. Now, she's wearing gloves, which food-handling regulations require for anyone directly touching ready-to-eat food. But touching money and food, gloves or not, give me the pause. Isn't money supposed to be one of the filthiest things we touch? Handling food with same glove, disgusting things I seen today, food was disgusting. After seeing that gloved hand-and-food transaction. Issues of proper food safety and handling began to be questioned you will get people sick . However, it may come as a shock to you yardhouse leaders that wearing gloves may be one of the most effective ways to spread pathogens in a food service system. Waiters / cooks thats wearing gloves touch all sorts of things besides food and continue to use the gloves. Technically they should change gloves after they've touched anything that isn't food related. For entry level food workers have this belief for some reason that gloves mean clean. But proper hand washing techniques negate the transmission of illness. Double up yard house and train employees and educate about dirty surroundings and gloves. Ever think about how that glove snapping off is probably spraying micro bits of that person's sweat and glove powder into your food by kitchen. Double up leaders. My family and I were near the mall and saw this place! We were seated almost right when we got there. They asked us if we had a preference of where to be seated and they seated where we wanted. Our server Gracie gave us a while to decide what we wanted. She was very nice, gave us time, and answered all of our questions! She had a sense of humor and gave us excellent service. I never leave this place spending less than $65 for 3 dishes of food and I know why. Yesterday, I came here for dinner with my family. I wanted to get the pork poutine with the egg on top, the waitress came back and told me they were all out so she suggested the lobster mac and cheese. I said "sure it sounds good" but what she didn't tell me was that it's $24! She can tell me that an egg is a dollar extra for the poutine but can't tell me the price of the lobster mac and cheese? I didn't know about it until I got the bill. Even fine dining restaurants would say "our special for today is.....and it's at $....", not her, she mentioned nothing of the price. On top of that, the waitress kept flirting with my husband to get him to drink and tried to upsell every.single.thing. we.ordered. It was annoying, I didn't realize we were in Tijuana where people try to sell you anything and everything. I left there spending $96, I was very upset that the bill got so high because of the lobster mac and cheese and that's only after a 15% tip because I wasn't too thrilled with our waitress. I finally got to look at the bill for once and coke is $3.25, sure it's "free refills" but that's pricey compared to other soft drinks sold in other restaurants. Not sure how I haven't reviewed this yet. The Yard House chain is virtually everywhere now, so the menu is familiar and very extensive--there will always be something for everyone. Price levels vary so your budget will be accommodated. And the wide range of beer taps is what draws most people to their long central bars. Over the years, I've developed a love-hate relationship for Yard House, specifically because of this location. There have been easy 2-star experiences (inattentive hostesses and servers, unknowledgeable bartenders, awfully prepared food) and other 4-star ones (better bartenders and food). I don't always agree with menu additions and prices ($14 for Banh Mi, really?), but I do still appreciate the option to "shorty" your beers. Some good stuff: Mac & Cheese for the truffle oil, California Roll and it's fun presentation, Bernaise Sliders, the Vampire Taco (basically a premium quesataco), and the Pepper Crusted Gorgonzola Burger. Though I find their kitchen consistently inconsistent and the bar service questionable at certain hours, Yard House serves its purpose as a place to get your favorite beer. So I keep coming back when I'm in the mood for my German brews (not any of their cocktails). The happy hour and late night menus are good, some of the best in town. My classmates and I like to come here to celebrate after finals. Typically, we end up having a group of 20-30 people and the staff somehow manage to keep track of our orders and let us have separate checks by the end of it all. I would definitely recommend coming here during happy hour. Happy hour deal includes half off prices on selected appetizers and pizza and discounted prices on drinks and sliders Monday-Friday 3-6PM and Sunday-Wednesday 10 PM-closing. Out of the drinks I've tried, I would recommend the Pineapple Express and the Moscow Mule. Overall, the food is pretty good. I only had one issue with the food, which was when I ordered the ahi poke bowl (imagine a sashimi salad with wonton chips). Taste-wise, it wasn't anything spectacular, but what really killed me was the diarrhea I experienced a couple of hours later (sorry for the visual). Yard House is a chain but the good kind. If you've never been they have a ton of beers on tap and liquor too. It's still family friendly with plenty of seating inside and out. Lots of TVs for your favorite games. Food is good and varied. Had a 7 Oz pepper corn steak. Could have been seasoned a little better. It depended on the demi glaze sauce a little too much. The presentation was actually great. Came with mashed potatoes,some carrots and asparagus . Could have actually used a little more carrots in the dish. Also a little too much sauce for my liking. Ordered a side salad for $3.50 which was a great value. Automatically came with a dressing which was good. Would have been nice if I had a choice in dressing or got it on the side. Another review on a chain restaurant... do people actually read these to determine whether or not to go? Anyways... Yes, I will frequent Yardhouse but cannot say that I am a fan. I've recently moved to Temecula and knew of YH and always wanted to go. So this is the only YH that I have attended, but being a chain, the food and atmosphere should be the same with only service differing from location-to-location. The first few times, tried different items for variation... with only little disappointment on the nachos. Chips don't seem fresh and too many beans. Since it's not a Mexican restaurant, that's not why my reasoning behind the "A-OK" rating. Prior to my last visit, it would've been "Yay! I'm a fan." However, last night, I asked our waitress what her favorite pasta dish is. Most popular is the mac & cheese (which I had already tried) and her favorite being the shrimp in vodka sauce (which I was already considering). Upon receipt of this shrimp pasta dish, looked very appetizing. Unfortunately, either the chef didn't flambé properly or added too much alcohol because it tasted like having a shot of vodka with every bite. For being a regular menu item, I expect proper preparation. Therefore, I can't give anything more than "A-OK." The sweet potato fries are good, neither over- no under- fried. But beware of the dipping sauce that comes with it. It's a maple bacon dip, which turns it into more of a sweet than a savory dish. Everything else (thusfar tried) is delicious enough to recommend: calamari, ahi stack, burgers, ahi sliders, mac & cheese, BBQ chicken pizza, and the wedge. The Yard House is open and welcoming from the moment you walk in, whether you nab a seat at the bar or find a place among the floor or outside on their patio. The food here is made with care and attention to detail is readily apparent. The truffles in the Black Truffle Cheeseburger showed well and my Mom had the Turkey Pot Pie which was a large portion and full of spices and flavor without going overboard. Rob, our bartender was fantastic and made our time there enjoyable along with the food which was delicious and filling. The beer selection is vast and The Yard House has a flavor for every taste from the most refreshing of light selections to the most full bodied darks as you would hope to find showing many lesser known gems among their repertoire of average expected faire. I decided to try out the vegan options yardhouse had on their menu last night while out for dinner. I was super pleased with all of their options as there are many to choose from. I have been vegan now for almost a year and a half and I was super excited to give this place a go. I decided on ordering the vegan buffalo wings as an appetizer and a vegan bbq chicken pizza for entree. The presentation/taste for the vegan buffalo wings I give a 6/10. The presentation/taste for the bbq chicken pizza I give an 8.5/10 The one thing I would say is an area of opportunity was I wish the wings had more sauce on them and I wish the pizza was a little thicker on the dough as when I lifted up a slice everything started to fall off because it was so thin.
