In town on business I stopped in to watch some basketball and enjoy some chicken and beer. I'm a huge fan of wings done well and these are IT! The bartender told me they have the same whiskey pepper sauce on salmon and I have to tey it! It's sweet with some tang and lots of flavor and the pepper gives it the tiniest kick but so good. The wings are worth all those words I just wrote lol. I also had a 4-beer flight. The beers were ok I always like to just try new things. None were super memorable beacuse I'm really a wine girl but they have so many beers on draft you'll find something you like. Worth a stop and I'll probably stop in again before I leave town. Five stars for beer selection, much less for the food, averaging 3 stars. Yes, this is a chain, and the quality of the food is very chain like. Still, downtown Seattle is a bit of a food desert when it comes to decent sit-down restaurants, especially on weekends. The main attraction here is definitely the beer selection, and it is heaven for those of us who are tired of one mediocre IPA after another that seems to be all that local breweries can offer. International beers can be difficult to find on tap in Seattle, but they have loads here, including a great Belgian selection. Chimay on draft! My friend and I stopped at this Yard House on my first night in Seattle. It was cozy and perfect for catching up after not seeing one another in a few years. I've been to several Yard Houses before, but this one had a large selection of local brews and it was conveniently tucked into downtown Seattle. I ordered a Margherita pizza, and my friend had a French dip sandwich, we each also had an Ace Pineapple Cider. You can't really go wrong when you have dozens and dozens of draft beer options to chose from when you want to grab a drink downtown. The service is always good and prompt and the food is pretty decent from what we've had. My favorites are the shiitake garlic noodles, the wings, or anything with the poke! The poke nachos are YUM! No one I've ever brought here has ever complained about the experience. I would say it doesn't have a very lively atmosphere, in fact it's so dark in there it's like a cave. read more

I appreciated that they put down a napkin as a pace setting and I'm assuming for sanitary purposes for COVID. Though the place was very busy, my server at the bar was attentive and friendly and overall gave amazing service. The bloody Mary was just ok, but the wings and cheese curds were amazing and fulfilled all my comfort food dreams. Good place for appetizers. I've been to Yard House twice and each time our table has ordered mostly appetizers to share. Their portions are large and their prices are reasonable (not super cheap tho) especially during their happy hours. Both times I've ordered the lettuce wraps. Wrapped in the butter lettuce with any of the accompanying sauces, the chicken is delicious. The dish itself feels fresh which is a nice addition to the order when ordering mostly heavy appetizers. It's easily one of my favorite items on their menu. We ordered quite a bit of food for 3 people when we visited. In addition to the lettuce wrap, we also ordered the fried mac & cheese, the truffle fries, calamari, and the shrimp vodka sauce pasta. No wonder by the time we were all full, we had to pack a whole appetizer sampler plate's worth of food in a take home box. Everything else was pretty standard. The calamari was good and the truffle fries were good. They just tasted exactly how you expect them to taste and you can't go wrong with that. The pasta was slightly interesting. Shrimp was good but the pasta tasted kind of like something you'd expect in an Asian fusion dish. Hard to explain it. We still enjoyed it at the restaurant but didn't end up finishing a third of it or taking it home. The fried Mac & cheese is Mac & cheese fried into a stick! I've been to plenty of Yard House locations and the main reason I'm giving this Yard House 3 stars was for service and beer selection. The service was just okay here. We proceeded to sit at the bar since there were 2 empty seats and the bartender said she was holding the seat for someone, which is totally fine. The part I didn't like is how she just ignored us after as we stood there because we wanted to ask her if other seats we saw were open. We ended up asking another employee bartender after at least 5 minutes of waiting. For the beer selection, I was hoping that there would be more PNW beers since it's in Seattle. This just wasn't the case. For food, this was the redeeming quality. We ordered the appetizer of nachos and it was huge! We were able to share it as a meal and were very full afterwards. Overall, I thought my experience at this Yard House wasn't the best and I probably wouldn't plan on coming back here except to watch sports. read more

Yard house however was open and ready to serve.,......I walked in and was seated quickly. The service was friendly and answered my questions about the menu. I ended up ordering a Korean cheesesteak sub with onion rings because it sounded very interesting....and it was. It was pretty darn tasty to be honest. I appreciate that this place was open later than all of the other restaurants in this downtown area so that I could grab a bite on my schedule. The food was all cooked well and it was served quickly. Yard House is just your American chain restaurant delivering an unspectacular but comically large menu. There's low effort in accuracy but the food is decent and portions are huge. The truffle fries as an appetizer is quite small to share for more than two people. The tomato bisque is pretty good, though on the sweeter side. For entree, we got the quinoa kale salad with salmon and chicken. There are sunflower seeds, beets, under-roasted brussel sprouts, and cherry tomato halves. I wasn't a fan of how the dish was presented without actually massaging the kale with the salad dressing -- lemon vinaigrette came in a gravy pourer -- and was tough to consume. In fact, not mixing the salad at all was not a good choice for taste & texture (the kale was crunchy & didn't have time to be coated by the sauce as thoroughly as if it had been hand-tossed). Honestly, come for the happy hour (3-6pm weekdays) and giant portions, but don't expect great execution or food. read more

Our party ordered the fish burger, chicken salad, bulgogi burger and everything tasted delicious. The food was well cooked, came out quickly and perfectly sauced. The service was friendly and seamless. Payment was very easy with an iPad and bills could be split and paid easily. This is a great place for group, company lunches. This place was just around the corner from our hotel and sure glad we went there. My daughter and I got the BBQ bacon burger medium rare and the wife got street tacos. Our burger was cooked perfectly and the charred taste on the patties was on point. The fries was crispy and delicious and my wife said that was the best street taco she ever had at an American bar and grill restaurant. The issue was that they squeeze everyone into one part of the restaurant making it very loud and obnoxious. We could barely hear each other across the table, we had to lean in to hear one another. The place is huge and to try and put everyone in the same dining area was ridiculous. It was to damn loud and obnoxious, but overall the food is good. Lackluster food, better beer. My friend and I came here for happy hour, as we work nearby and the happy hour screams of deals with 50% several appetizers and two bucks off taps, wine and cocktails. That's really when to pay a visit to Yard House; take advantage of the happy hour prices! We ordered an IPA and shared the Chicken Nachos, which seemed to be popular among the fellow bar-goers. But honestly after trying them, I don't know why. It's not an appetizer I would order again or recommend. Chicken was very few and of the pieces that were on the nachos, it was super dry and bland. The salsa on the nachos also had a BBQ-like flavor to it, which I was not a fan of. Chips were also on the stale side. Glad we ordered it during happy hour because it's not worth spending much on, if at all. At least there's beer! They have an awesome tap selection, with many from local brewers and a few from elsewhere, including one of my favorites, Dogfish Brewery! The scene is chill too. He came back once right after we got the food and then at the end when I had my biggest complaint of hair in my fries. He didn't seem apologetic and said he would get the manager who then proceeded to come over and apologize again. He offered to make a new order of fries which I didn't want since we'd been there too long. Didn't offer to take anything off the bill which I kind of figured he would have. Honestly disappointed with this service and experience since it was recommended to us by our hotel staff. I came here for lunch and had a solid meal. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries (basic, I know...) and they were pretty good, not that much flavor though. We also got the lunch pizza/salad special and tip: our waiter told us the lunch pizza and the regular pizza use the same amount of dough but the pizzas are different sizes (so the lunch size is a thicker 8" vs the normal thin 11") I though the thicker crust was good. The happy hour specials looked great but we weren't there in time for them. I think I would go back to take advantage of the happy hour prices because I thought our meal was a bit overpriced for what it was. read more
