This was our first time at the Pasadena location. Looks like they are reviving The Paseo. We just before 5 and the place i was hopping. We had zero wait for our party of 5. This was our first time trying the happy hour menu and OH BOY! our faves was the Poke nachos, sliders, Pep pizza, wings and Brussels sprouts. The price is right but it was the service that took it over the top. Ashley and Jonah were the absolute BEST. They validate for the first 90 minutes. We're returning real soon.
I was so pleasantly surprised this evening. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was lively, I was greeted & seated right away.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The side salad was larger than I'd usually expect, and the Whiskey Salmon entree was EXCELLENT. The salmon, mashed potatoes, and veggies were all flavorful and cooked to perfection. My server was very sweet; I could hear her lending an ear to another guest while he described how his day was going.
Just had a nice lunch here with a friend from out of town. I had the poke salad, and while it was tasty, it's not filling (especially for a $24 price point), so just be aware of that if you're starving like I was lol. It was on the salad menu, but saying the toppings were on a bed of lettuce would be giving the dish too much credit. It was more like a handful of lettuce underneath and that was it. My GF got the ahi salad off the salad menu and hers looked like an actual salad with plentiful lettuce. Only reason for the 4/5 is all of this! I tried one of the 7% "sour" beers on tap, not sure what to expect. I thought maybe sour meant kombucha-like aftertaste. It was KIND OF like that, but in a good way, not in a vinegar tasting way. It was actually really good, so def recommend trying a sour beer if you haven't before. It had the perf amount of sweetness. I find many cider beers to be too sweet for me, so was worried about that as well, but it was perf on sweetness level.
Yard House Happy Hour is a go-to, but the real hack? Reserve ahead. I booked a table online while my girlfriend and I were en route, and it paid off, we walked past a growing wait, checked in, and were seated within 5 minutes. Peak efficiency. We went all in on Happy Hour: Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds, Classic Sliders with fries, and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. The lineup is clearly built for sharing, and for the price point, it delivers. The cheese curds were a standout, crispy on the outside, gooey inside, while the sliders did exactly what you want them to do. The spinach dip was solid and one of our favorites on the Happy Hour menu. From the regular menu, we added the Spicy Jambalaya and 10 Crispy Traditional Wings (Buffalo + Lemon Pepper dry rub). The wings were the better play here, crispy, flavorful, and well-sauced. The jambalaya had good heat, especially alongside everything else. Service can make or break a busy Happy Hour, and Kat absolutely held it down. She struck that perfect balance, attentive without hovering, quick with check-ins, and helpful when we had questions. It felt dialed in, which isn't always a given during peak hours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe is classic Yard House: high-energy but still versatile. You've got sports fans locked into the TVs, date nights in the mix, and groups celebrating, it somehow all works without feeling chaotic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Is it groundbreaking? No. But that's not really the point. Yard House knows its lane and executes it well. If you time it right and come for Happy Hour, you're getting solid value, dependable food, and a lively atmosphere. Would I come back? For Happy Hour, easily!
The two stars are for the happy hour and the servers. Why isn't it five stars? Because the girls at the front who check you in aren't very welcoming. Especially the one pictured, she seemed more interested in laughing and talking with her coworker rather than acknowledging guests, which came across as unprofessional. They could definitely benefit from better customer service training. I love Yard House, but the host staff at this location make it difficult to keep coming back. I'd recommend the Burbank location instead.
This review is for the service. The food was great, as per usual, and I consider Yard House to have one of the best happy hours, especially for food. My friend and I sat at the bar and we had awful service. Our server hardly ever came to check on us and we had to flag her down several times when she walked by when we wanted to order more or get a refill. She wasn't very friendly and almost seemed unhappy to help us. She never returned to close us out to where another person did since we were waiting awhile. He was really nice. First time visiting the Yard House location in Pasadena with my boyfriend and it's officially our favorite. We'll absolutely be back soon! It was busy (as expected), and we waited about 20-25 minutes after checking in, which honestly wasn't bad at all. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibes were welcoming from start to finish.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Huge shoutout to our waiter TJ -- attentive, friendly, and just a great overall vibe. Service was incredible. Even after we paid, he made sure we knew we could still reach out if we needed anything. That kind of hospitality really stands out. We ordered a few items to share: truffle cheese pizza, fried calamari, Parmesan truffle fries with a side of blueberry ketchup (because I'm legit obsessed), and a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious, filling, paired nicely and the portions were solid. I was pleasantly surprised our bill wasn't higher considering how much we enjoyed everything. The Parmesan truffle fries + blueberry ketchup combo was the star of the show for me personally. Although I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the truffle cheese pizza even regardless that I'm not the biggest fan of mushrooms. It had a tasty garlicky sauce and the bread was so soft and warm. Fried calamari was decent, but some pieces were a bit chewy and salad also needed more dressing, other than that no real complaints! I also asked for some blueberry ketchup to go and TJ hooked it up with a generous container -- really appreciated that! My boyfriend ordered the House IPA and was even given a complimentary sample of the Belgian IPA, which was such a nice touch. Can't wait to come back during their happy hour deals! p.s. they do validate parking.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]Had a good experience dining at the bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Upon arrival, there was a bit of a crowd at the front waiting to be seated & the hostess didn't seem enthused, didn't make eye contact, was painfully slow & even tried to seat the party behind me despite me being next & standing directly in front of her. Weird. Even the other party told her I was next. So I informed her that I just wanted to sit at the bar & she said it was open seating. Thank goodness because standing there waiting & not feeling the slightest bit welcomed was unacceptable. At the bar, I was promptly greeted by Adam & ordered the sliders & fries. To my surprise, they were half off for the Happy Hour special. My order was delivered in under 10 minutes & was tasty. I'd return to this location but most likely not during the 4 o'clock hour on a Wednesday.
Stopped by Yard House for lunch this afternoon and had a solid experience overall. We were greeted by the host and seated immediately, and our waitress was awesome very helpful with recommendations while we were picking out appetizers. The only thing that threw me off was when I was getting ready to pay the bill. I used the table kiosk to check my summary, and I noticed a $2.99 charge for video games. The device hadn't even been used until it was time to pay, so it was strange to see that automatically added to the total. Overall, a pretty good visit, but if you're paying on that device, make sure you check your bill to ensure everything is correct before you finish!
I had some time to spare and wanted to grab a quick bite before my next event. I dined by myself and got placed at a table. I wasn't sure who my server was and I haven't dined here in over 20 years. I wasn't sure how their service request was. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have an outdoor patio that had a lot of people dining outside. Inside, there were ample amount of diners. They had tv screens that showed the same channel[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I used the restroom after I was shown my table. When I came back and took a look at the menu, no one came by to greet me. A few people walked by, all wearing black, I couldn't tell who was a runner or a server. On the table, there was a little device where you can look at the menu, pay, or play games on it. There was a little button that I assumed was the call service for the server to come and assist you. I pressed that and shortly after, the server came and greeted me. I ordered the tomato bisque soup with the grilled smoked gouda cheese sandwich along with a lemonade. The sandwich tasted amazing, and the soup was great. I was hoping it would be a little thicker of a soup base, but overall the flavor was great and paired well with the soup. The lemonade was a little too sweet for me, but refreshing on a hot day.
The Service: Sara was our server. She is awesome!! Super attentive and super patience waiting for us to order. Great customer service! The Food: They were prepared quickly. Fresh ingredients & plating nicely. I really enjoyed the grilled chicken & avocado burger. The Parking: Plaza parking structure. They validate parking, 90 minutes free. After that $1.5 every 30 minutes.
I had high hopes for this location in Pasadena it's on the second floor of a plaza next to the movie theater, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the space itself is beautiful. Dim but well-balanced lighting, a bar in the center surrounded by TVs, booths, tables, and a patio that looked perfect for summer nights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came with a longtime friend from middle school for an intentional evening of dinner + improv show, and we ended up at the bar since the wait for a table was 30 minutes. Our bartender, Drewski, was a delight: attentive, checking in often, asking for honest feedback, and making sure our drinks were strong and filled to the brim. We started with a lemon drop and fried calamari with jalapeño tartar sauce the flavor was great, but the breading kept falling off, which was a little disappointing. For our entrée, we had the lobster noodles. While the lobster and shrimp were generous, the lobster seemed overcooked and the noodles were clumped together it made it hard to enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the ambience, bartending, and drinks exceeded expectations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food, especially at $38 for pasta and $160 total bill, fell short. The kitchen felt rushed, and that impacted the meal. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd try a different location. Despite the food issues, the experience itself was beautiful because of the intentional time spent with a dear friend. It reminded me of the importance of carving out time for connection, creativity, and encouragement.
I liked the ahituna burger but it was a little on the dry side. The sauce they put on it made up for the dryness. They allowed me to sub to truffle fries with no parmesan cheese. The brussel sprouts were amazing. They are on the sweeter side since it's made with gochujang. Can't go wrong with calamari. Batter was light and it was best crispy. The kish & tell was pretty light but i can see why it would be a creeper. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really packed because there was a game so we got seated late after everyone left.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was great considering they sat over 20 tables in less than 20 minutes. My server refilled my water as soon as i finished the last sip. I mightve gotten lucky since he was near by.

The four of us ordered 5 plates from the happy hour menu. Crispy Brussel Sprouts (4/5): It was good! The sauce was a bit spicy but overall it was flavorful. Poke Nachos (5/5): My favorite plate out of everything we've ordered. It was a nice combination of wonton chips and raw fish with avocado and seaweed strips. Truffled Mushroom Pizza (4/5): It was good. Lots of mushrooms topped off a thin-crusted pizza. 4 Cheese Spinach Dip (3/5): This was okay, the spinach dip was good but the chips weren't my favorite. The chips tasted a bit stale. It dish would've tasted a lot better with better chips. Classic Sliders with Fries (2/5): I wasn't a fan of this dish. It was a plain slider, so it wasn't that flavorful. The fries were below average, a bit soggy. I wouldn't order this again. You definitely get a bang for your buck during happy hour prices. While I was eating, I felt something in my throat, and when I brought it back up, it turned out to be a piece of plastic. It completely ruined the meal and made me question the food safety standards. Located in the Paseo in Pasadena, Yard House is a go-to whenever I'm with a large crowd on a mission to enjoy some drinks and appetizers. We ordered a bit of everything off the menu and enjoyed each dish: Cobb salad: light and refreshing, I requested dressing on the side because I didn't want too much. The only thing I didn't like was the bleu cheese crumbles but that's on me for not requesting to take it off. I especially liked how there were edamame, as that's not an ingredient normally in a Cobb. Spicy tuna stack: tuna tartare with a mild kick. Didn't taste spicy at all. Though this was on the lighter and healthier side, it was filling. Chicken wings: we got the Korean chili garlic which meant it was a gochujang based sauce that had a sweet undertone with a kick to it. Wings were fried crispy and held up nicely against the sauce. Cheeseburger: standard bar burger. I wish the bread was softer and less dense. With so many great burgers in LA, this burger was forgettable. The service, although friendly and courteous, was slow on a Wednesday around 8:30 pm with less than half capacity. We had to flag our servers a few times for utensils, drink orders, etc. but all in all, we had a great time. read more

I stopped by for lunch with my co-workers. It's pretty quiet here during lunch time on a weekday. I'm unsure if they had lunch specials in the past but it'd would be nice for customers like me coming in for lunch. Everything is about $22 and up besides appetizers. I'd stop by for dinner but for lunch time, it might be a good idea to do something to bring in customers for lunch. I love their check out machine at each table. It's easy to split the bill. All restaurants should have this tablet! I tried Shiitake Garlic Noodles and was pleasantly surprised. Would be better if I could add meat option to this dish. Servers are friendly! read more

What initially attracted me to Yard House was their Happy Hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. During this time, they offer over a dozen appetizer options, ranging from classic items like pizza and chicken wings to more unique choices such as poke nachos and chicken lettuce wraps, all priced around $9 or less. My friends and I arrived around 5:00 p.m. and were seated with our waiter, Francisco. We decided to try the Poke Nachos, Fried Calamari, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, and Spinach Dip. Starting with the Poke Nachos, I appreciated the combination of flavors. The tuna poke, seaweed bits, avocado, and (presumably) spicy mayo sauce on top made the first few bites very enjoyable. However, as I continued, I noticed that the sauce on the chips became overly salty. Next, the Fried Calamari had a nice, crisp texture in each bite. The accompanying tomato sauce and tartar sauce paired well with the calamari. While it wasn't anything extraordinary, it's a safe choice if you're a fan of fried calamari. The Chicken Lettuce Wraps were less to my liking. The chicken itself was too salty for my taste, and while the dish is served with both a sweet and sour sauce and a peanut sauce, I found the peanut sauce to be the standout. If the chicken's seasoning were toned down, the sauces could shine better. I would consider ordering this again, but only if the chicken flavor is adjusted to be less salty. Lastly, the Four-Cheese Spinach Dip was nothing remarkable. If you enjoy spinach dip, you might find it enjoyable as a snack, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me. I would likely choose a different appetizer next time. Overall, the food met my expectations for an American-style restaurant with a diverse selection of ethnic-inspired appetizers. If the saltiness in some dishes were adjusted, I would have enjoyed them much more! In terms of service, Francisco was friendly, but I was a bit frustrated with how our plates stacked up on the table as we finished our appetizers. Given that the table was small, due in part to the large plates, the accumulating dishes made the dining experience feel less organized and detracted from the overall service. If I return, I would likely stick to the Poke Nachos and try their pizza or chicken wings. Yard House doesn't need much of an introduction when it comes to Happy Hour restaurants. With their multitude of draft beers and extensive "half-off" appetizer list, it is always mentioned when thinking of where to go for Happy Hour. So there I was again on a sweltering summer day around 3pm. Ordered a light & crispy beer that totally hit the spot. "$2 off beers on tap" made it hit even more succinctly. Got to the appetizers list and I always order more than I could eat. Even more than I can eat over three meals. But that's a first world problem of course. So with their kitchens set on warp drive, the platters arrived before I could even wash my hands. So after sprinting to the loo to take care of that, it was time to dig in. With their festive beer hall meets sports bar atmosphere, it was easy to dive in like Joey Chestnut on the 4th of July. The food is never astounding but it's always solid and everything seems designed to make you want to drink more beer. Cheers to them for that brilliant business model. I had the jambalaya with pasta, and let me tell you it was incredible! They offer the option of rice or pasta, but as a pasta lover, this was a no-brainer for me. Years ago, I used to love the jambalaya at Elephant Bar, which I thought was the best at the time. Sadly, most (if not all) of their locations have closed. But this? This was even better! Hands down, the best pasta jambalaya I've had at any chain restaurant. I've eaten here multiple times before, and they have never missed. From the hot wings to the pizza, and even the burgers everything has been phenomenal. But what truly sets this place apart is the customer service. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and kindness. Every staff member, from the hosts to the waiters, is courteous and attentive. The Ambiance was great too it's a bit of a sports bar so they had TVs going it wasn't crazy loud pretty acceptable to me. Decided to come here on Sunday to watch some football with my husband and daughter. They weren't that busy and we were seated immediately while walking to our table my husband had asked can we get a table that was close to some tvs that were showing 2 specific games and the server responded that's there's tvs everywhere and just took us to our table. So we weren't in view of one of the games that we wanted to see. Anyways the girl who sat us ended up being our server I'm not sure if she was training or what but wasn't too familiar with the beer menu. She didn't really check on us often. We ordered wings and one of them wasn't cooked all the way and was pink inside and we got French fries. The fries were extremely salty. After that we decided it's best to just go somewhere else it didn't seem like we were going to get the service or food that we were expecting. read more

It's always worth coming here during happy hour! Came here on a Friday evening and got two pizzas, chicken nachos, and poke nachos with a yard of cider. Everything was under $65 for three people and we had leftovers. Recommend sitting outside since it's heated and technically somewhat indoors. Parking is validated for an hour and a half past 90 minutes. You have to pay $7.50. read more

It's been awhile since we last visited Yard House so decided it was time. We came in on Friday night, 11-1-24 around 8pm for dinner before our movie. I ordered the Whiskey Burger which was really good and tasty along with Truffle fries. My wife also got a burger which was ordered medium rare but was not and was sent back. Came back better the next time around. Our server was Andrekier A. and he was nice, friendly and professional especially with the burger mix-up. The manager came by to express his apologies in the matter and took the burger off the bill which was really nice. We were not expecting that at all. We also ordered onion rings that was good as well. They have a very nice menu and looking to returning again for another meal before our movie. read more

We celebrated after grad here since it's a restaurant that opens late at night. The service is so friendly and the waiter constantly refilled my coke ( I was super thirsty after grad). Our server even gave us a complementary cheesecake! We ordered appetizers to share and we got the shrimp pasta, poke nachos, spinach dip nachos, chicken lettuce cups and ahi tuna. The standouts were the shrimp pasta and chicken lettuce cups our table enjoyed them so much! However, I felt the ahi tuna had a strange texture but that's on me for getting sashimi at an American place . Overall, it's a good choice for late night munchies! read more

I didn't expect the meal to be this good, but I was pleasantly surprised. Starters: The fries had the perfect balance of truffle and were well seasoned (without an overbearing flavor). They were light and crispy. The calamari had a great balance of breading and the added sauces were a nice compliment. Main: The Ribeye was SHOCKINGLY good. I had average expectations, but the cut was excellent for the price. It was perfectly salted with a great char and rub, and it was an excellent medium rare. Barely any gross fat as well, mostly just the flavorful marbling, so definitely worth the price. Dessert: The lava cake is was the only thing that was just okay. It wasn't super moist, but it was decent for the price. Service: the service was acceptable. Nothing too special, but for how busy it was our server was doing a good job. Ambiance: It's a Yard House. You know what you're getting. Overall - 8.9/10. Best experience I've had at Yard House so far. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon to have some drinks at the bar. Sadly, I was disappointed at how low attentiveness of the bartenders here were. We sat down, and it was an odd experience as there was an employee working right in front of us yet no welcome or signaling to the bartenders to take our order. We waited for some time, thinking maybe they'll take our order but it took a long while. The lack of communication of work flow between workers just left us in disappointment, the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is based off the fun we got from the drinks. read more

I visited this particular Yard House location with a friend on Sunday, and we really enjoyed it. We got some beers, appetizers and shared a Margherita pizza. Everything was delicious--even my Michelada! (I was actually impressed by the flavor and glad I took the risk because I've been left down by other places several times). Our servers switched, but both servers we got were pretty attentive. This Yard House is pretty big and the whole area looked nice and clean. We sat by the window, so we had our natural sunshine lightening and outdoor view. I used the restroom before leaving and 3 of the faucets were not working. Bummer. Yes, I did try them all. Hopefully they fix them soon because I wasn't the only one waiting to wash my hands. Street parking can be a hassle on Colorado Boulevard, since it's a busy area. Don't forget to buy a parking ticket if you do decide to park on a meter! This girl forgot and got an even MORE EXPENSIVE ticket! There's also a parking structure right next to Starbucks, just a few steps away. Not sure if they validate, but either way it's convenient if you decide to hang out for a while. read more
