I think overall this place would be a solid choice for a very casual night out with friends. However, I came here for a networking event, and it was awkward having 20 people on high top chairs, eating on a very long, thanksgiving like table situation in the middle of the whole restaurant. Since it was a loud environment, I wish Yard House could've provided some context to the event organizers that it would not be an ideal networking environment and rather offer a place where our group can be able to stand, walk around, and talk amongst each other with high top tables for food and drinks. Or, at least offer a private room for folks with a circular seating arrangement so we could face each other. Just my two cents in case other event organizers approach management & hope they can give honest recommendations in advance. read more

Came here with a few coworkers. We were able to get our party of 6 seated once the hostess was back at the front (about 5 minutes). The outdoor patio area under the roof was a little cold for most of our liking for those who don't like big ceiling fans. For drinks we got a variety of beers, mixed drinks and wine. We shared the tower of onion rings and fried calamari. The onion rings were great, covered in a solid coating of batter along with a spicy Mayo and ranch on the side. The calamari was standard, served with a marina and tarter sauce on the side. For entrees I shared a Mac & cheese and kurobuta pork burger with my friend. The Mac & cheese was decent but not anything special. The burger was okay, a little on the dry side considering we got it cooked medium. Fries were good and everyone else seemed satisfied with their meals. Overall, decent experience but would want to try other local restaurants instead of coming back. Can we all give Yard House's vast menu hosting a variety of cuisines a round of applause?! We came here for an early dinner after a day of furniture shopping. We were exhausted and so hungry. Obviously, we ordered all the things. My two favorites of what we ordered were the jumbo Bavarian pretzel and the avocado toast (not pictured here). If you come here and are feeling peckish, you have to try this pretzel. Trendiness aside, the jumbo pretzel is salty, soft and served warm with THE most delicious beer cheese dipping sauce. YUM, I wish I could eat this again right now! I also ordered the blackened shrimp tacos. These were pretty good but had a slight bitter aftertaste. Glad to see the patio open in this place coming to life. The beer menu is about half what it used to be (50 beers versus 100), and I worry that the yard house brand beers are crowding out what used to be one of the better IPA rotations in Fenway. If I am honest, the beer selection and lack of scale is what led me to a four star review. I am sure this rating will change when the selection is back to post-COVID norms. I ordered the prime rib and my wife ordered the hamburger as a lettuce wrap since she is gluten intolerant. She said Yard House continues to have the best lettuce wrap burger. Her only complaint was the Canadian bacon versus regular bacon. I was pleased with the prime rib: done medium rare as requested, and a good size it's not too much fat. For food, I ordered the steak bow. Paid 29 dollars ($24 + $5 tip) for a little pile of food with some steak on it. I would not consider this a bowl. It was not filling at all, but it was good. I sent an email to the owner about filling the missing 200 calories with more stuff to make it an actual BOWL and was ignored. So I'm pretty disappointed because this is a place my partner and friends like to meet at sometimes and I like to hangout with them. The half yards are also so much fun (although sometimes hard to drink out of), and you get great bang for your buck. It's actually one of the cheaper bars to drink at in Boston if you get a half yard! The Fenway Yard House is my favorite location, where they also have great outdoor seating with ver effective heaters. They also just opened a new location in Copley which is less nice because it is inside a mall. The service at both is fantastic, and every wait staff I've met is always helpful recommending a beer for you. The food is delicious, and they also have great vegetarian options despite being a sports bar (the Chick'n Wings are to die for!) It's great quality food for a fair price. They also have a deal where you can join the rewards program for a free appetizer. Both places are a great spot to hang out with friends, watch a game, or go on a date. This was my favorite spot to drop-in before a Red Sox game. There are almost 200 beers to choose from! Some of them come in yards! The service is on top of things too so you never wait long for a drink. We hung out in the outdoor area in the back. That is the best spot if the weather cooperates. This Yard House is solid. Solid enough that I do recommend it very much big time for their brewskis and gnosh selections as well as for an "upscale" pub atmosphere, if there were such a thing. My Uno got a glass of red wine and the Peppercorn 8 oz Steak with mashed and "bro-sted" asparagus and root carrots with a shallot brandy sauce. Her meal was expensive at 30 smackers for a pretty teenie steak. Everything was tasty and well made, especially the veggies. My Vampire Tacos were "on point" and I wicked recommend them for the fried cheese tortilla-type outer shell with the regular corn tortilla being the penultimate shell. All food was tasty AF and a definate step above the food at other "places like this type of place." My brewski was awesome. Mind you that I am not really a beer guy so for me to freak over a brewski is saying a lot. It was fruity and cloudy and was complex yet simple and bold yet subtle, etc. We shared a mini brulee that was just 5 bucks and worth the bucks. The server was Jennifer and she was wonderful and friendly as hell and made the dining experience enjoyable. In conclusion I conclude that you peep out The Yard House. My mother, disabled sister, and I came in for happy hour lunch as I have done countless times before. Our server Irene was so unprofessional it nearly made my mother cry. We came in at 2:45 when happy hour started at 3, and Irene said my mother was rude for trying to save a few dollars. She slammed my beer on the table out of some strange rage. Irene was hands down the rudest server I have ever had. Irene, you should be ashamed of your self.
