I had a very bad experience this evening.... The inside is very nice, but that's kind of where it ends. The food is very sub-average, and that's being nice. I had ribs, substituted the sides for Mac and cheese, and fries. All three were quite bad. The fries were room temperature when they arrived, and I'm actually surprised about the Mac and cheese-- there wasn't even the slightest hint of cheese flavor, it almost literally tasted like macaroni mixed with whipped cream (if the cream was flavorless). The ribs weren't tough but didn't fall off the bone either. I was very unimpressed with them though, they tasted like they were frozen and the barbecue sauce was plain, nothing special. Honestly it wasn't a big deal for me, but my coke cup was also empty for the last 25 minutes I was still sitting and dining. Midway through the meal I wanted to stop eating because I felt a stomach ache developing... And I should have. Two hours after I left I started experiencing food poisoning symptoms.... Not good. I called the manager on the phone and at least he had a tone of urgency and sounded concerned. Thanks for that, at least. Honestly I'm offended I spent $30 to dine here... Ok I wanted to be fair before I gave a review. The first time my husband and I were there things were amazing. The second and third time not so much. The first time the only thing that was incorrect was they put cheese on my sandwich when I asked for no cheese. So given that the food was good I went again 10/12/2016. I sat at the bar...ordered the same thing...Cuban with no cheese...it came out with cheese...I sent it back...it took well over 20 mins before I simply cancelled the order...given the manager tried to make it right and comp the meal but I decline because of the time that had lapsed....fast forward to tonight...I ordered to go...they told me 20-25 minutes... I arrived within that time frame and food was not ready...once my food is out I go home which is less than 5 mins away...food and fries are cold! Like freezing. I expect my food to be hot if it's not ready when I arrived. I only gave it 2 stars for what the initial manager tried to do to rectify it. Enter at your our risk. It will be hit or miss. read more

we waited 1 hr to be seated on a Saturday 8pm which was not a problem, but when we seated the music was loud we were a party of 8 and some were seating a little bit further and couldn't hear the Asian waitress. Also, we had friend from Europe who needed translation. first she ask my bf if we have a problem with her being Asian????? seriously??? my bf said there is no problem and then she brought her manager over because her feeling was hurt (???? Honestly I hate talking down on restaurant but the experience was so bad I had to do it. I had some friends over we decided to try out yard house and it was a mistake. As we were waiting to be seated they told we could wait at the bar and get some drinks. The bartender crew is the best thing at this place I wish I could say the same thing about the waiters. So we finally get a table our server Michelle was ok at first but she definitely was not ok with us just having drinks I guess she probably thought we won't give her a good tip or something. Very cool place in Addison. I had been to a few in Vegas before, and this one did not disappoint. We got the lobster artichoke dip (excellent), California roll (not your standard sushi roll), and we were brought some spicy edamame. The edamame was great if you like spicy foods. I got the southern fried chicken, which was amazing. The beer selection was great as well. We did not go during happy hour times, so I can't give any insight into specials. I'm so glad we decided to try Yard House a few weeks ago! Our server was wonderful and very attentive. We started with a queso and it was delicious. I like that they serve it with chips and tortillas! I had the Cuban Dip sandwich and my boyfriend had a burger. We both loved our meals! The fries weren't the best, but still good. They had Shiner Cheer which was a major plus for us. We've only been that one time, but we'll definitely be back. They have a great happy hour and everyone we spoke to was friendly. This was our second time at Yard house. As usual, the food was great! I had the turkey burger, and my husband had the bacon BBQ burger. We both loved our food. Our family really enjoyed their meals as well. However, we were so disappointed with our service. We suggested yard house for our family that was in town to go to. First off, we had 11 people in our party and 2 servers helping us. It took 15 minutes for any of us to get a drink, or to be recognized at all. Secondly, after trying to order appetizers and another round of drinks we had to speak with 2 managers to get our servers' attention. I went with a small group of friends during happy hour. They offer a small menu compared to their menu as a whole but it's definitely a lot of food. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 dishes from the happy hour menu and we were stuffed! We didn't even finish a full dish. We got the spinach and artichoke dip (not part of the happy hour menu) and the fried calamari as appetizers. I think my favorite was the dip. We devoured this so quickly! The entrees we got were the Spicy Thai Chicken Pizza, BBQ Pizza, stuffed blue crab cake and the wings. I wasn't a fan of the Spicy Thai Chicken pizza, it had a different feel to it and I think I'm not used to having Thai mix with pizza. Everything else was pretty good! The pizzas are full portion pizza. I think they would feed about 2 if you were eating only pizza. There were two crab cakes and we weren't able to finish because we were so full from the other food. The wings were good, they're boneless and had a bit of a spice to them. We also got drinks. I got the Moscow Mule and I enjoyed it a lot. We all shared a yardstick too. Although the food is very good, don't come in expecting any kind of good service. My family came as a party of 8 including myself. I understand that larger parties could lead to little mistakes here and there but this was way more than that. Our server took so long bringing out waters yet still forgot 3 and never came back with more until we got up and asked someone else. Along with that, my uncle ordered a beer and watched it sit at the bar for 10 minutes before taking it into his own hands to go get it himself. We waited for our food for probably almost 45 min, IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT! once the food finally did come out, my mom didn't receive hers until most of us were already almost done. Recently visited on Sunday, May 15. It was one of my close friends first time. She originally ordered the Turkey Burger but the waiter came back and explained that the meat was not cooperating so she instead ordered the Pepper Jack Burger which she absolutely LOVED. I ordered the Pastrami Benedict Burger and some sweet potato fries (I love) with no cheese because of my cheese allergies. We had the best experience and exceptional customer service all around. On top of the waiter Sal, apologizing for the Turkey Burger not cooperating, the Manager Shame came to or table and apologized and actually took some time to engage and converse Worth my friend who was also from California. Shane was also proactive with asking of my allergies which I thought was really sweet. Came here for a friends birthday and wasn't able to eat too much, but I had the chance to eat off of other people's plates, haha. I ordered the truffle fries and some beer- I tried a light and a dark to see the difference. The truffle fries were amazing because they have a garlic seasoning and makes the fries irresistible. I will definitely come back to this place again. Next, I got to try my friends turkey pot pie, which by the way, looked delicious! It tasted like the average pot pie, but it looked huge. Most of my other friends just got burgers- when I asked them if they liked these burgers or Hopdoddys... They said they'd go to Hopdoddys for burgers next time. This place gets four starts for their patio. The area is expansive and has heaters right above the tables. We ordered some appetizers and beers, the chicken wraps were a bit salty for my taste but my husband enjoyed them, he said they married well with his Temptress, which they had on tap at the perfect temperature. I went here on a business trip. The drinks are good but very over priced. Additionally I had a very unfortunate experience. I ordered the lettuce wraps with mushroom and tofu. Those were pretty decent but I also ordered deviled eggs. The menu didn't say anything besides "deviled eggs." When the eggs arrived they had bacon on I was pleasant about it and said I was a vegetarian and was sorry but didn't read that on the menu. They said they would remake it. She didn't bring the eggs back until after everyone was done with their meals it was about 20 minutes. I was about to dig in when someone I was eating with noted the dents in the middle of the eggs exactly where the bacon had been.. I was pleasant to the waitress about it as I know she wasn't the one who replated it. It was rude though I don't eat meat meaning I don't want meat touching anything or in my food. Also they took so long to just pull the bacon off of the eggs. The manger or waitress didn't offer any compensation for that behavior. However, I did expect more from the grilled korean short rib tacos (especially compared to Southern CA Kogi Food Truck). The burgers here are really good. The smores' dessert is pretty intense, tastes less guilty when its taken home and let to cool (which I prefer). Parking sucks!!! Now that that is out of my system O can move on to the wonderful things about our visit from the beer to the the food. There are over 100 taps and by the bathrooms you get a neat glimpse into the tap room. The beer selection was good but for having 100+ taps I would have expected more selections I hadn't heard of. What I did have though was served cold and quickly and I prefer draft over bottle every time. Service was quick even though we went on. Friday night when every other couple in Addison decided to try this new spot. Food definitely leaned towards the spicy side and my vinaigrette salad came out with a spicy peanut Thai sauce that was too hot for me. Everything had good flavor and I am looking forward to the rest of the menu. If it hadn't taken me 30 minutes to find parking in this shopping center they would have gotten 5 stars but that was such a pain that I really think they should consider comping the valet or extreme discounts.
