The food was good, the only thing I was not happy about was the freshness. I can personally tell when fried food has been reheated. My crab Rangoon seemed reheated because of the texture and the flavor wasn't bad, just poor quality from reheating. My smoothie didn't have any real fresh fruit and it was not exactly worth what it cost.. I probably wouldn't say they're the best or my first option.. hoping it was just a bad day. Inside was really organized & clean. There were only 2 booths & a smaller bar table. My suggestion is to take your food to go, like I did. Service was very quick & efficient! Drinks were really delicious! Food was yummy & satisfying! Not too greasy. I walked in to order, so the wait was maybe 5 to 10 minutes for the food & drinks ... which was nothing! As a matter of fact, while I was waiting, four different customers picked up their orders. No confusion was sought. All 5 of us left happy! Second time ordering takeout and I think this will become our new Homestyle Taste. We had a gift card so we ordered some repeats like shrimp fried rice, beef pan-fried noodles, pork potstickers, and egg rolls. AND we could try egg drop soup and the hot pepper fried chicken. I KNOW. We have so many leftovers! Anyway, the soup (we could not eat except to taste it) was chickeny and eggy. I have been ordering from Yao's for a few months and the food here is great. I am able to order all my favorites such as rice boxes to noodles. I am able to call them, make the order and pick it up very quick. The customer service is great as one time they forgot to give me white rice and they offered to deliver it to me. I was able to get the extra rice on the next order. Prices here is comparable to any other place (avg $11) for an entree. There are limited tables to eat inside but I always take out. Plenty of free parking along the street. Cash or Credit is available with no service charge. read more

Ordered Pad Thai. Received a container of brown food. Nothing Green in this dish. The protein was large shrimp. There was five. The hot and sour soup was delightful. Egg rolls were so so. This meal came with one pak of soy sauce and two sweet and sour sauces. Must have ordered the wrong entree. I've had Pad Thai from other restaurants so I know how it's supposed to look and taste. This place was so cute, the people are kind and friendly, and the food and drink I got were delicious! I wish you could see the steam coming off my food. The restaurant is catered for take out. It is clean and has only 2 tables for dine in. When you dine in, your food comes in take out containers already. There is free parking on the streets. The service was great. Workers were friendly and welcoming. I ordered beef and broccoli, salt and pepper fish, Yang chow fried rice, fried tofu, egg rolls, and 3 drinks. The food had good flavor. Their salt and pepper breading was too much. It wasn't the light and crispy batter that I was expecting but it wasn't bad. The drinks were good. I really liked the lychee green tea. The tea was refreshing and light. This is a pretty good Chinese restaurant that's not located in Chinatown. I will come here more often. read more

We love Yao's Food is exceptional and it's so cute inside!!! Service is pretty fast with ample parking in either sides of the streets.

The restaurant is so cute. It is small, but well-designed. The neutral colors with adornments of greenery are perfect. The food is fresh and delicious. One of the best egg rolls I've ever had. The shrimp shumai was phenomenal. We ordered Singapore noodles and the shrimp broccoli lunch special. Everything was super fresh. We also got the mango bubble tea and a hot honey milk tea. Both were excellent and the boba in the mango was fresh and delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and the space is very clean. read more
