Yesterday was my first time ever trying this place. One thing I was impressed by is the prices are very reasonable, and the food was actually good. I ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, which also came with fried rice and an eggroll. I really enjoyed the sesame chicken, it was delicious. The fried rice was just OK. ($7.00) I ordered five crab ragoons, which were absolutely amazing. ($3.80) My fiancé ordered the curry chicken, he liked it a lot, it had really good flavors. Been going here for many years. The last 4 or 5 times I have been extremely disappointed with my favorite dish, the shrimp egg foo young. I guess they have new cooks but the gravy that comes with the dishes is horrible. I got it yesterday with an extra side of gravy. Although it was a light brown color I still attempted to try it. I visited this restaurant when I was touring Chinatown in Chicago. A friend who lived in the area recommended me, saying their Orange Chicken was really good, and that it was fairly close by as well. It turned out to be a 10 minute drive from Chinatown with minimum traffic (I went at 4pm). Personally I enjoyed their Crab Rangoon dish and the Singapore noodle the most. I would definitely revisit and try out their other dishes next time I'm in the area. read more

The food here is usually decent, but tonight our Mongolian beef was overwhelmed with onions. There was more onions than meat. The service is also usually pleasant, but today I didn't appreciate the attitude of the lady working the register. I've never seen her, but she had the demeanor of a owner. My coworker recommended this little place to me a while back and now I make sure I go there a couple times a week. The food is always ready super quick and never fails to taste delicious! My favorite things will have to be the spicy combination fried rice with beef (my boyfriend and I share the XL), crispy chicken wings w/ special spicy sauce, and the always delicious broccoli chicken. I was giving this place a shot since I was in the area. I ordered beef egg foo young, crab Rangoon and a veggie egg roll. I get all the way home to find an over cooked patty with no beef. I tried to cut through the patty and ended having to claw through it to see there wasn't ANY meat in the patty at all. The gravy was so thick like a glaze of some sort. I was so upset I had driven all the way home to garbage food. I was livid so I drove back and showed them the patty. They accused me of eating the meat out of the patty then insulted me by saying look at me "of course you ate all the meat". I asked for a replacement and they refused and kept insisting that I ate all of the meat. After all the back and forth for about 5 minutes, they offered a refund. I didn't realize that I was short changed since I had thrown out my receipt. after the gave me the refund they "shooed" me away. When I say I will never return there I mean it. Best Chinese takeout I've ever had. It was recommended by my coworker and now I go there several times a week and have never been disappointed or dissatisfied. My food is always made fresh and it is ready quickly. My favorite is the beef and broccoli but sometimes I enjoy something a little spicy and get the spicy rice combo. Actually one of the better Chinese food places in comparison to St Louis Chinese food. It was decent. I kept it simple so I ordered a large order of the combination fried rice. The shrimp, chicken and beef that came in the rice were okay, not bad. The rice was dark and had flavor. The sweat and sour chicken was good. It came with the sauce on the chicken which was good. The sauce was really good. The chicken at the top of the box was a little dry but I think it was because all of the sauce was at the bottom. Two thumbs up for the sweet and sour. Location is better than the place on 87th and dan ryan. They are pretty quick and the food is fresh. The parking lot is horrible though.

I went in to grab my order, after calling in a pickup. As soon as I walked in I noticed the cashier heckle some patrons for an additional payments for sauce, which they forgot to charge the customers. The guys were pretty nice about the confusion. During the back and forth, I noticed the cashier dig in her nose and finish up the transaction before entering the kitchen/cook area without washing her hands. I proceeded to ask to see the health department's food inspection notice posted as is required in the city of Chicago. The cashier went on the defensive, begin asking me if I worked for the health department and dismissing my concerns. Insisting I did not see her walk into the kitchen area as if I'm a liar. You can set up shop in our neighborhoods, but not comply with city requirements and dismiss me as if I have no right to ask? Will not be returning and am seriously considering calling the health department. read more

This is the worst "Chinese food" I've ever had, and it deserves zero stars. I tried this restaurant because my sister recommended it, but it was truly terrible. I ordered shrimp egg foo young and shrimp fried rice. The egg foo young patties were overcooked and the gravy was extremely thick. The fried rice wasn't good or bad, it was just there. When I called the restaurant to complain, I was told that I should microwave it to make it taste better. When I complained about the gravy, I was told that their gravy is really popular and that people often order just the gravy or an extra order of gravy. When I asked why she was telling me what other people like, she said she was telling me because no one ever complains about the gravy, and then she proceeded to tell me the ingredients in the gravy. I told her that I was complaining and that the food tasted really bad. She told me that I could try something else the next time I came in. Obviously I will never go there again, and I told her I would like to bring the food back. She told me that they could not accept food back. During our entire conversation, she was talking to me in English and someone else in her language. I assume she was sharing our conversation with the cook.
