I came to Yang's Kitchen for brunch and left really impressed with both the food and service. The cold sesame noodles are a must-order, especially if you're dining with a group. The noodles are firm with a great bite, and the mix of veggies adds a lot of texture. The sesame sauce is creamy, nutty, and earthy without being too heavy. The Yang's set menu is a great way to try a little bit of everything. The house pickles were crunchy and tangy, a perfect palate cleanser. The soy egg had a gooey center and was packed with flavor. The hanger steak stood out. It has a slightly coarse texture but is still tender and juicy, and the chimichurri adds a bright, tangy balance that ties everything together. The breakfast plate was also solid--crispy hash browns, nicely runny eggs, and a super tender, juicy chicken thigh. Everything was well-seasoned and balanced, so you can enjoy it as-is without needing to tweak anything. Don't skip dessert. The cornmeal mochi pancake is massive but surprisingly light and thin, with a chewy, slightly grainy texture. The cream, blueberries, and condensed milk pair well, though honestly it doesn't even need the extra sweetness. We also tried the passion fruit vanilla swirl soft serve, which was creamy, rich, and not overly sweet. Service was great and the food came out quickly. There's plenty of parking in nearby lots and behind the restaurant, which is a huge plus. It is on the pricier side, with most dishes ranging from $15-$20, but the quality makes it worth it.

Have been wanting to try this for a while and finally had the chance to try! Cuisine is asian fusion. I find their fusion definitely more Asian leaning than western flavors, which I enjoyed. Service is great. They check you throughout the night and offer some great recommendations from each section of the menu. Definitely make reservations for dinner. We went on a Friday night and the place was packed. Indoor decor is more on the minimalistic side for sure. They have 3 outdoor tables as well. Dog friendly, definitely a plus. Dungeness crab cold noodle 5/5 - so delicious! I loved the shallot oil base and those crunchy fried shallots give the al dente pasta such a good bite! Smoked pork jowl cha siu 3/5 - a little bit too fatty for my taste. Feels kind of like a bbq rather than cha siu. Interesting but definitely not our favorite. Secret potatoes 10/5 - that chili cumin butter is SO DELICIOUS. Crispy potatoes. We wanted to take the sauce home after we ate the potatoes. Definitely my favorite dish of the night. Dan Dan Campanella 6/5 - really flavorful, not too spicy but the Al dente Campanelle makes the dish taste shine because of the bite of the pasta. 2nd favorite of the night. Vanilla soft serve - 4/5 really light ice cream to finish out the meal but nothing too special. We wanted to try the black sesame cake with the whiskey but they were sold out! Guess we have to come back. Overall great meal, great flavors and wonderful service. Will definitely come back and try the brunch menu in the near future!

WHEN: Mon @12pm COLD SESAME NOODLES - $18 + Pastured chicken breast ($14) + Avocado ($2.50) Ferrazzani's organic spaghetti, house sesame sauce, cucumbers, pickled carrots, crushed peanuts, cilantro, scallion, house chili crisp. Such a refreshing and shareable dish. When it doubt, just include all the add-on! Flavors are good, and I'm sure it was good as leftovers too. CORNMEAL MOCHI PANCAKE - $18 Heirloom blue cornmeal, Koda Farms mochiko rice flour, organic whipped cream, seasonal toppings, organic condensed milk. Wow, such a wonderfully unique pancake! While it's thin, it has a subtle texture of the cornmeal and the slight chewiness of the mochi. This is a must order and it's huge. Not too sweet as well (you get a side of condensed milk! I liked that it came with a huge plop of whipped cream and blueberries. BREAKFAST PLATE - $28 Two farm fresh eggs, house made hash browns, seasonal Farmers Market greens, choice of protein: Grass-fed hanger steak, and house made scallion ranch sauce. This plate's price varies depending on your choice of protein. Now you know how fresh your eggs are when they are hecka orange. I had mine scrambled and I like that it's soft. The hash browns were thoroughly enjoyed because of its level of crispiness and cube-like shape. The steak was tender, juicy, and well flavored thanks to the sauce on top. This breakfast plate felt healthy since it comes with a side of salad. This place is busy and clearly popular. I enjoyed everything!

Finally got to try the lunch. It felt a little too healthy but portion size was good. I finished the whole thing. The bread looking this was hashbrowns, which was really crispy. Decided to try the chicken instead of the steak and the chicken was good and juicy, glad it wasnt chicken breast. They also give some sort of ranch foe the salad and if you want ketchup, you ha e to ask them for it. It did seem a little bland but healthy. Egg yolks were orange. Wished there was salt and pepper for it.

We came for brunch on a weekday after hearing good things about this place. Server was friendly and explained the menu thoroughly. The food looked very simple but was surprisingly fresh and tasty. My favourite from the breakfast plate with hanger steak was the hash brown with scallion ranch sauce. The hash brown was very crispy and the sauce was amazing. The eggs tasted fresh and the steak was cooked nicely too. The set meal's mushroom medley was very fragrant and the picked vegetables on the side were great. The restaurant is spacious and clean with nice decor. Though the portions were quite small given the fairly expensive prices, we want to come back to try their dinner menu items because of the high quality.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Yang's kitchen! We ordered the steelhead belly tartar, braised duck leg with taro and the Hainan fish rice! All of these dishes tasted amazing. Our personal favorite was the Hainan fish rice; it's a must order. The rice and fish were buttery and flavorful. The ginger scallions sauce added another dimension to it and the pickled cucumbers that came with it were well marinated. The braised duck leg with taro was also pretty good! The taro was interesting, it reminded me of mashed potatoes with gravy. The duck was tender but tasted more like a chicken leg, but also didn't taste gamey either. The steelhead belly fish tartar was delicious! It's honestly such a small appetizer but the steelhead belly was fatty and blended well with the rice cracker. Service was excellent. The servers there were attentive and made sure that we always had our glasses refilled and that we received new plates. The restaurant is on the smaller end, with limited seating so I envision it gets pretty packed during peak dining hours. The restaurant is on the pricier end for a meal but it's a worth a try and is perfect for date night! Would recommend. Will be coming back to try their brunch menu!

First time visiting, we were surprised to find a fine dining Asian fusion restaurant in Alhambra. They had beautiful, elegant decor & attentive, friendly service. The menu was pricey but the food was delicious, fresh, farm-to-table with sustainable ingredients. They have many gluten free options. We enjoyed everything we ordered: Market Salad, Secret Potatoes, Yang's Fried Chicken Wings, 'Hainan' Fish Rice, Braised Duck Leg. There's limited outdoor & indoor seating so make sure you make reservations. There's free parking in the back, on the street & several parking garages near by.

Came here for brunch on a holiday, and it was so crowded even though it was raining a lot that day! So I'd expect the wait on weekends to be quite long. However, you can check into the waitlist on Yelp but you just need to plan ahead since you might have to wait a while since the restaurant is not too big. The decor is cute though! We ordered the Smoked Fish Dip, Yang's Set Meal with steak, Cold Sesame Noodles, Yang's Fried Chicken Wings, and 2 Cornmeal Mochi Pancakes, for 4 people. The portions are decent. The highlights were definitely the pancakes!! They weren't too sweet and had good texture, but I do remember them being more mochi-like the last time I went which was a few years ago. Overall, the food is tasty, just on the pricier side. Worth trying!

This is such a great place to stop by for a little brunch!! definitely very cute and cozy! A place where you could take your friends and family or parents! Service was beyond amazing!!! we would definitely come back! Definitely recommend the chicken wings!

My family made a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day; we were very excited to try Yang's as we've heard so much about it! We were sat shortly after we checked in and they accommodated our 4yo with softer tableware. The ambiance of the dining room was so cozy and romantic, with really good music at the perfect volume. Our server was very kind and they recommended 3-4 dishes for the three of us. My fiancé ordered a beer (HPB Timbo Pils). For our meal, we ordered the market salad with the nuts on the side to start, secret potatoes, fried chicken wings, and claypot mussels. We also got a side of pickles. Everything was made and cooked well, but there was something about the level of flavor that was severely lacking. The secret potatoes with chili crisp had great texture, along with the fried chicken wings, but the wings were just crispy and juicy. Even with the accoutrements of salt, pepper, and lemon juice, they were just very well-fried chicken wings. The salad was fine, the avocado, watermelon radish, and greens were crisp but the vinaigrette was barely there. The claypot mussels were also very good, but just didn't have a satisfying flavor. I hate to say that we weren't satisfied, but unfortunately we were just that. Maybe we didn't order the right dishes? We plan to come back soon for brunch, but I would say skip dinner here.

We were able to secure a last minute reservation at Yang's Kitchen for the most recent infatuation/chase promotion. The wait was minimal when we arrived, and the service was warm, friendly, and very attentive. Parking was easy, with both street parking and a lot available behind the restaurant. At first glance, the restaurant gives off a fine dining vibe with its dim, moody lighting- perfect for a date night atmosphere. We were seated outside near the street, so we missed out on some of that ambiance, but it was still pleasant. 1. Pork Jowl Cha Siu- a mix of lean and fatty tender barbequed pork, served with hot mustard sauce on the side. It was good, but not overly unique or extraordinary as an appetizer. Portion size was a bit smaller than expected. 2. 'Hainan' Fish Rice- a creative twist on the classic Hainan chicken rice, but with dry-aged sea bass instead of chicken. The sea bass was fresh and paired nicely with the flavored rice. 3. Steak Frites- hanger steak served with smashed potatoes. The steak wasn't as tender as I'd hoped, but the smashed potatoes were good with their crispy exterior and soft, warm interior. Overall, Yang's Kitchen did a great job at setting the perfect date night vibe, but the fusion food still has room for improvement, especially considering the high price point.

Had the mushroom combo at Yang's Kitchen and it was delicious. The food tasted clean and healthy, the service was good, and the interior had a really nice modern and fresh look. Definitely a pleasant dining

Cute little brunch and dinner spot in downtown Alhambra. Gets busy on weekend and closes around 4pm. I would join yelp waitlist if you can. I would get the breakfast plate options. All three were good. My favorite one is the american breakfast plate. Mochi pancakes was delicious as well and a huge portion to share. The drinks are refreshing. Get the mimosa kit. Worth it. Services is hit and miss mostly when busy but overall on point.

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 8, 2023

We usually set up 3 outdoor tables in front of our restaurant each day that we're open (weather permitting). Each outdoor table can seat 4-6 people. Unfortunately, it is not covered, but it can be heated.

We don't as of right now, but it is something we'll seriously consider in the near future! Thanks for asking!!

I am genuinely thrilled to have such an upscale, quiet, and relaxing restaurant right here in my neighborhood. You can truly taste the chef's passion and dedication in every dish. Every time I bring friends here, they are absolutely amazed and delighted by the flavors. We ordered quite a few dishes today. The highlight was the Chilean Sea Bass. The chef served a massive, beautifully thick cut--which is actually the hardest to execute. If overcooked even slightly, Chilean Sea Bass becomes dry and tough. But the timing here was absolutely perfect. It had a gorgeous, golden-brown exterior, while the inside remained incredibly moist, tender, and delightfully springy. The seasoning was spot-on and never overpowering; it wasn't too salty, perfectly preserving the natural, fresh flavors of the sea. We also had the Chicken Bowtie Pasta. I typically avoid chicken dishes at restaurants because they often turn out dry and lack the rich aroma you get from beef or lamb. However, Sage's chef elevates chicken to another level. Rather than using the traditional Cantonese technique of quickly flash-frying in oil (which yields a smooth texture but sacrifices the natural meat aroma), the chef here expertly pan-sears the chicken over extremely high heat for a short time. This creates a deliciously crisp exterior that locks in all the juices and rich flavor. Tossed with perfectly cooked bowtie pasta and cheese, the result is so flavorful and well-balanced that we simply couldn't stop eating! Another great thing about Sage is their incredibly generous portion sizes--we left completely satisfied! We finished our meal with a great cup of coffee and the chef's handmade Tiramisu, drawing a perfect, sweet close to our evening. Highly recommend!

Sitting at the bar given that it's an open kitchen we could see the commitment to made to order food and it's the type of place that if anyone did have an issue with their meal, I am sure they would rectify it. They let me try sips of the wine before I bought a glass. And the front of the house was very warm. We live in the Garvanza area of NE Los Angeles and we will definitely be back.

I mean, look at that beautiful seared fish basking in delightfully flavorful sweetened soy sauce with delicate spinach and shimeji mushrooms swimming around it. Every bite was roll your head back awesomeness. Accompanied by a fresh crisp glass of quality Sauvignon Blanc and it's my complete meal. Waitress Kimmy (sp?) was very charming, professional, efficient and attentive. Dining outdoors always a treat, and though a bit on the chilly side, ample heaters made it comfortable.

Indoor seating has that Tulum vibe--chandeliers, music, really nice energy. Now that it's warming up, the patio is also a solid move. Food is consistently good. We always get the burger--it's one of the best. This time we tried the crispy chicken and wow... sweet, spicy, super underrated. Got ranch with it and it was a perfect combo. Also tried their pizzas--really solid, and they have gluten-free options. Ivan was our waiter, super nice, and the food came out fast. We were in and out in like 30 minutes (we do eat fast though). Definitely coming back for the burger and to try more of the menu.

There were three on Friday, lovely, lovely ladies. Came by for the happy hour, the cocktails are always a hit! I love recommending the bar to my friends and family. The food on the HH menu I will say needs some sprucing. Very limited and boring sorry to say. Got a couple bites but they were bland. Perhaps the chefs were distracted and forgot the seasoning, oh well. Loved my drinks though and will try again.

We shared had a Pinot Noir, recommended by our server which was very good. The charcuterie board enough to fill the gap while we waited for our main dinner. Everyone was please with what we ordered. Our server was there but laid back enough to freely enjoy our time without the pressure of being rushed. This restaurant is so cozy and friendly. There is enough outside sitting and they are open to guests dining with behaved pets. The menu had ample variety to please family guests and offer kids menu. They do have delicately prepared chef's special from steak to salads that can satisfy everyone's palette. We decided to have latte and their dessert special lemon mouse paired with a liqueur, it was so good!
