This cafe has surprisingly a lot of seating! I didn't expect there to be a whole back section too and it was spacious. I saw people studying there so seems like the staff doesn't rush you. We tried the sujuk platter $15, fried halloumi $9, lamb stew $17, matcha latte and ali palmer. what's interesting for the drinks is that the menu shows the "starts at" but doesn't give you the price for the larger size so we didn't know there was a larger size until ordering. The food was good tho! The ali palmer was light, refreshing and not too sweet! I'd def come back and try the other food and drink items.

I've been seeing this spot on Uber Eats for ages, but I've never gotten to try it. My mom and I came here for a quick lunch today, and it was nothing short of delicious! It's the kind of place you go up to the counter to order, but if you're eating in, they'll bring the food right to your table. The staff was friendly, and we got our food very promptly. We both got the Riz Bowl, which was packed full of veggies and spices. It reminded me a lot of Moroccan food. It comes with a side salad, basmati rice, and a spicy green sauce that you can top everything off with. The rice was just as flavorful as the meal itself. I also got an iced matcha latte, which was the perfect day to cool down. I will definitely be coming back!

The best coffee and food! Nicest staff! I forgot the name of my coffee but it was one with cardamom in it and it was absolutely lovely. The grilled halloumi and fig sandwich was also great and generous size. Plus have to love their solidarity with Palestine worth being a staple spot for sure! Plenty of seating in the back! The wall art is phenomenal! The bathroom was also very clean and accessible. Adeni Chai - perfect, no further comments Masala Chai - was a bit too sweet Fried Chicken Burger - seasoned with Yemeni Hawaij, topped with a brussel sprout coleslaw, pickles and our homemade plum chipotle sauce served on a brioche bun with a side of hand cut Zaatar Fries 5/5 The brussel sprout coleslaw was so unique and the plum chipotle sauce is a master piece. The fries were under-salted though. It's great to have such an extensive savory menu at a cafe! I want to go back and try the chicken and waffles, fig and cheese toast, B.A.T, lamb haneeth sandwich.

Interesting coffee and good eats. I got the yemeni breakfast and brown sugar cardamom latte. The breakfast was pretty substantial - I was unable to finish it. It comes with beans, cheese, olives, scrambled eggs and a delicious traditional flatbread. They did not skimp on the bread. There are a few high tops and small tables. I doubt I will return to this part of brooklyn but I would if I could. My latte was amazing.

A nice little coffee shop with both prepared foods and baked goods. They even have their own roasted beans for purchase. There's a good amount of seating, so I was able to have my coffee and a toast to stay. I ordered a flat white with oat milk and a fig toast, totaling around $17.50. The flat white was a bit thin, and the toast was a bit small for the price. The toast had both fresh and dried figs but definitely more dried. I wish it had more fresh figs, as the honey topping was a bit too sweet. Both were still good overall, but pricey for what it was.

Coffee shop with food? Yes! Yafa is a chill cafe with tons of seating (front and back room). My boyfriend and I came around lunchtime and shared the fried chicken sandwich, which was incredible. As for drinks, I liked the cardamom brown sugar latte, and the tahini chai latte was even better! Definitely recommended for a great option in the area.

This review is solely for delivery. Hubby and I wanted a lazy Saturday morning with some good eats. Queue to finding Yafa Cafe as a recommended breakfast spot on GrubHub and we both finished our meal super impressed. The coffee/tea selection is fun featuring options like a maple latte and tahini vanilla chai. I opted for the pistachio cardamom cappuccino and it was solid - not too sweet and pretty tasty! I got the BAT breakfast sandwich and added an egg. Guys, it was delicious. The sourdough was crispy and oily - the turkey bacon wasn't store bought turkey bacon, it was like no other turkey bacon I've tasted. My husband opted for the lamb poutine and loved it. Gotta say - I'm pleasantly surprised by this cafe and will def be ordering from here again.

I finally got around to checking this place out and ordered the ($14) lamb poutine for lunch. It was a good amount of food and tasted pretty good even though the lamb was a little dry. I did notice they had a good selection of pastries that I'll give a try next time.

Absolutely loved being here!! The stay was pleasant and the iced caramel latte was delicious!! I also tried their matcha lemon bar and it was super yummy!! They support Palestine and I do too as a Palestinian myself The only tip id leave is that it's a small location so not many seats but everything else was great!! They have a secondary location near the garment district in Manhattan!!

Nice cafe where you can catch up with friends or catch up on some work. They have more seating areas in the back of the room. There's even a big communal table at the back as well if you're work on a group project or catching up with a large group of friends. When I was there, there were a lot of people just doing work with their laptop. I ordered the chicken sandwich and my friend got the lamb sandwich. The chicken sandwich reminded me of katsu where they thinly pound the chicken meat. The sauces and the slaw is a good addition. However, I don't think I like pounded chicken in a sandwich. I rather have a thick juicy and crispy chicken. The lamb burger seasoning was good but it was missing some pickled vegetable to lightening up the richness. Overall liked the ambiance and staff were friendly. Wasn't that impressed with the food.

Ordered for delivery and didn't come with a straw for my latte or any utensils so I stirred my matcha latte with my own fork. No big deal. But then I opened my hash brown sandwich which didnt include the avocado i paid extra for... tried to call the cafe but no one is answering. Little disappointed but food was pretty good read more

This is a spot you don't want to miss. The second you step in the door, it is a welcoming and chill atmosphere. The workers were quick and accommodating with our order. We got two chicken sandwiches with their homemade potato fried chips and salad. It was delicious! Especially the slight and tangy acidity from the slaw in the sandwich! Ordered from Door Dash. Good was bright and fresh. I had a fattoush salad. It was really yummy, fresh and the dressing was really nice. Not as traditional style as some I have had, but I liked it just as much. The almond croissant was amazing! Fluffy, and perfectly toasted. The coffee was also great. I had a cardamom iced latte. I can't wait to try more of there traditional items-like the Yemeni breakfast or the halloumi. Highly recommend. read more

Made the trek out to Sunset Park to try this cafe for brunch on the most beautiful Saturday. It's deceptively large with a few tables upfront but many more in the back. We all ordered different dishes and not a crumb was left. I had the cardamom and brown sugar coffee - delicious! I never put sugar in my coffee but I was so intrigued by the cardamom that I wanted to try it. It was really good and not too sweet. I also had the avocado toast with a fried egg. I don't know what they put on this but it was magic. The bread was perfectly chewy and spongey enough to sop up all that runny egg. We ordered the zatar potato chips, all of which I ate. My friends had the lamb sandwich, shakshouka and Yemeni breakfast. We crushed all of it. The atmosphere is super chill too. We never felt rushed to leave and ended up sitting for well over two hours. I wish this place was in my neighborhood! read more

Usually I don't do much reviews but this place simply amazing a nice Chic Yemeni feel to a very robust coffee aroma as a yemeni I loved this place it was beautiful the guy behind the counter sure reminded me of home with the Famous Yemeni hospitality amongst ourselves and HES glad to share it with anyone of any race/gender/creed or identity the food is amazing the combining of authentic Yemeni dishes and the fast paced work of a Yemeni bodega that results in rustic and well combined unique flavors that truly is mesmerizing they're doing it different and the taste Hits different five stars all around read more

Ordered takeout and got the shakshuka, hash browns, chai, and BAT. The Shakshuka was TINY like I was actually confused about if I accidentally ordered a side? But nope i paid $15 for what looked like 2 eggs with a spoonful of the sauce over it. Eggs were also supposed to be runny but came out more medium done, overall I'm mostly just upset about the portion. I saw another review mentioning this but when I looked at the pictures on yelp, the portion looked to be okay both in the restaurant and takeout pictures. Unfortunately what I got was much smaller so I guess they have downsized a lot I'd say what I received looks like maybe half the size of what I saw in these yelp photos. The taste was fine, but I won't be ordering this again. The BAT was normal adult sized portion so I'm not sure why they decided to be so skimpy with the shakshuka. read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood. At first, I was reluctant to try Yafa as I didn't really think I'd like anything on the menu. For breakfast / cafe settings I usually go for an egg white omelet with a lot of green stuff. Yafa's menu does not necessarily have that but that they have things that are somewhat similar. I ordered the Yemeni breakfast and I was blown away by how good it was! It only $10 for a substantial portion + you can sit in the cafe and get work done easily. I will be back very soon. read more

This is hands down the best spot in Sunset Park. Actually, scratch that. This is one of the best spots in Brooklyn. I made a Yelp account just to review it. If you at an absolutely superb sandwich at a really reasonable price, this is the place. The fried chicken sandwich is excellent - the chicken juicy, lightly battered, topped with a sweet and savory sauce. The lamb in the lamb sandwich is so tender, you can tell it just fell off the bone. Not just that. They have these little sticky cream cheese filled clouds of wonder which are only a dollar a piece. What can you get for a dollar in this town! I buy my coffee from them as well. It's really excellent local coffee, can't beat it. Support Yafa Cafe! read more

the breakfast and fried chicken sandwiches were some of the best I've had. My 2 year old loved the waffle fries. That cardamom brown sugar latte was excellent. They've also got Yemeni pour overs. I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review for this place. It's just such an amazing addition to the hood. The coffee alone is reason to go (i get it ground as well so I can enjoy it at home and when I go to the shop) And then they have to go and make ridiculously delicious food? Ok then, twist my arm! Get the egg sandwich and the chicken sandwich. And bring friends whenever they visit you...you will look like the coolest person they have ever met. Trust me. read more

My partner grew up around the corner so needless to say we knew we had to try this place. The food was amazing, the prices were more than fair, and everyone behind the counter was so courteous and friendly-answered all our questions about ingredients. Definitely will return and tell myself I'll try something new but idk if I can break away from the lamb/stewed vegetable dish I had. read more

Sweetest of places. Friendly people, fair prices, delicious food. All that adds up to... a real rarity in New York! May these guys prosper. But seriously -- everything is made with attention, high-quality ingredients, and an obvious care for the origins and the experience. This is after having had the Coco Loco, karak, samboosas, two cappuccinos, mango juice, and pain au chocolat (2 people, not 1!). All of it perfect. Coming back next weekend. Maybe twice. read more

Good coffee, good atmosphere, good seating, nice staff. One of the staff members said the owner travels to Egypt (if I'm remembering correctly) to source and inspect the beans which is an impressive level of dedication that pays off in there results. read more

First time coming to this cafe and will definitely be back. It's a chill spot to get some work done and grab a bite.The fried chicken sandwich was sooo good & the haneeth sandwich was good as well but def would recommend the chicken sandwich over it. The staff is super friendly and they have plenty of seating in the back for larger groups. They even have a couple of bins filled with toys for those who bring their children, which I thought was the cutest thing! The decor is on point, cute for the gram. read more

Stopped by here today. A great cafe with a good vibe and reasonable prices. The bacon egg and cheese samboosa was a hit and the perfect Yemeni Brooklyn fusion! Workers were also super friendly. I LOVED IT! Stopped by for a quick bite on a whim, and the customer service, alongside the food and prices were just great. I went during COVID, but the place is beautiful inside and I would love to visit when all the decor is out and set up. I ordered the 'Sunset Sammy' and the 'Cardamon Brown Sugar Latte'. The sandwich was amazing. Freshly made, nicely packaged to go, just excellent all around. Did not know my order came with fresh seasoned potato chips, but a great surprise. Added agave to my iced latte and this combination kept me full for almost the entire day. Definitely a go to. read more

We got the Yafa Fried Chicken (with a fried egg) and Yemeni Breakfast to go. We really enjoyed the meal and would recommend! I wasn't the biggest fan of the chips that came with the chicken sandwich. Hoping to try the Lamb Haneeth Sandwich next time. read more

This place is wonderful and the guys who run it are unfailingly kind and cheerful. Everything we've had here is excellent. The chicken sandwich is to die for and they have some of the best falafel in Southern Brooklyn, which is saying something. The cardamom latte is a unique and delicious treat, and they have an impressive array of other coffee drinks that bring Yemeni flavors to life. read more
