Still to this day this is one of my favorite cafes in bay-ridge. The atmosphere is super cozy and bright at days and warm and cozy during night. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating here. I enjoyed most of their teas during night time since they do have caffeine free teas which are good. My favorite will have to be the passion fruit tea a with lemon and honey. 5/5! If I would to choose their coffee, I like the davinci turtle. Not too sweet and just right. They have plenty of seating so it is great to hang out or do work there. I came here for an early lunch on a Friday. We ordered sandwiches and drinks table side. The sandwiches came out really hot and included a bag of chips. Drinks are all in plastic cups with plastic straws- in fact everything they serve with is disposable. I wish more efforts were made to make this sustainable. Drinks were not great. Both the coffee and my partners Chai seemed off. Its a cute spot. read more

Super cute Cafe! Street parking for New York but I love how cute it is inside and the staff was really friendly! I stopped by to grab stuff to eat and some coffee. We had the specials - Serendipity and Super Blue. I asked for them to be less sweet but both were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and the Panini (The Portino? I can't quite remember). Both were delicious! I definitely recommend coming here. The desserts and baked goods look really good too!. The two lattes and sandwiches and the Crumb cake was about $33. The sandwiches also came with chips. Will be coming back! read more

This place smells amazing and has such a fun vibe, but that's where the positives end. The coffee? Terrible. Honestly, the worst I've ever had--undrinkable, really. And the food? Definitely microwaved. It was like they just reheated pre-packaged stuff. Such a shame because it has so much potential, but the quality is just awful. Oh and a worker was eating peanut butter out of the giant commual peanut butter and double dipped ... it looked like that was what makes the customers lattes unless she just carries around a supersize business size peanut butter... yuck! read more

Came here for a coffee this morning. There were a few people inside the shop. The place was clean and decorated for fall. I was taken care of right away. I was a little undecided on what to get. The barista suggested the pumpkin coffee and said she would make a fresh pot. Within in minutes I had my large pumpkin coffee made to my liking. It was really good. The price was right and well worth it. While waiting for the coffee I looked at the selection of bakery items including muffins. The muffins looked very good. It seemed everyone sitting there was having a great time at that hour of the morning. There was a nice smell in the air. I would definitely suggest grabbing coffee from here. I will definitely be back. One more thing the coffee was not bitter at all. I been noticing places have been using coffee that is so bitter that you need to put in like four sugars. I've walked by this cafe numerous times and there's always people hanging out at all hours so I decided to give it a try. The cafe is open later than most places in the area and it's a great spot to chill out and relax. I came here for a late lunch and ordered a panini and an Arnold palmer. The drink was sweet and slightly tart from the lemonade and the panini was hot with a good crisp on the outside. Everything was pretty standard and generally fine. The atmosphere is relaxed and you don't feel rushed to leave. There are people working, reading, chit chatting, and/or savoring their beverages and pastries. read more

This is a fabulous shop to spend time at. The coffee and other drinks are top of the line, as are the pastries and other food they serve, and they are as fresh as can be. The service is excellent. The ambiance is great. Mary Ann, the owner, makes sure everything is wonderful. Kelly, Mary Ann's sister, is at the shop when Mary Ann is not, and often they are both there. They are always friendly and welcoming. They have made this place a home away from home. You can come by yourself, or with family and friends, co-workers, or school mates. Consistently rude. I hadn't been in for ages because of the experience I had the last time I went there, but this morning I had a few minutes and thought I'd give them another try. No sooner had I walked in than the barista barked, "WE HAVE A ONE HOUR TIME LIMIT FOR TABLES." No "hi," no "welcome in," nothing. Just "WE HAVE A ONE HOUR TIME LIMIT FOR TABLES." Despite the fact that I hadn't been planning on being there more than 30-40 minutes, I left. And I wasn't going to leave a review until I found out they did the exact same thing to a friend of mine a few days ago. So clearly this is their standard way of doing business. I've started therapy at an office next door to this place and I've been here twice. It's really cozy inside and has a great decore. The staff is also very friendly. So far I've had the Arnold Palmer (not sweet enough, and could use more Lemonaid to Tea Ratio but otherwise it WAS nice), The Lemonade (a smidge too tart, but they were really nice and added some water and sugar to mine after I already drank half). Last week I tried the Ham and Cheese Croissant. It's pretty good but it would be better if they grilled the ham first. Today I had the Waffle with Strawberries, Whip Cream and Nutella and it was just super delightful and fluffy and delicious. My girlfriend had the Ham and Cheese Croissant again and she liked hers. This is a great spot for gourmet coffee, tea,drinks, deserts, waffles and paninis. This is not a chain and what makes the difference for me is the personal service. If you go to Starbucks the experience is sterile, most of the staff are not that friendly and just do what they are trained or "programmed" to do. This place is small, it's cozy, has a great vibe and the owner is from Bay Ridge and she supports other businesses in the neighborhood. I've read some of the negative reviews and it appears those people are being very picky. Most businesses can't afford to let people sit on their computer and take up space all day. Customers should be considerate and allow a cafe or restaurant to turn their tables. Just because you spend a few dollars on a beverage or desert speed not give you the right to stay there for hours. Let's talk about the food! I am not a coffee drinker although everyone I've been there with says it's great. They have a vast selection. I am a tea drinker and they have the best Chamomile I've tasted anywhere. The deserts are great as well. My favorites are the Chocolate Dream and Frutta Di Bosco. Been here a few times, the younger staff has always been professional and attentive, on our visit today we got to meet the owner, what a terrible way to do business and treat customers, we came in an sat outside,after waiting a few minutes went in to order and we were told to wait outside for service, waited another 15 mins and got nothing, went in to order again and the owner refused to let us order inside and thats when we left and we will never come back. Terrible coffee and be aware they will charge you 1.50$ for that pump of caramel or vanilla syrup. Service was not as bad as the food. Sicilian panini had no prosciutto, ham felt rubbery and not fresh. No arugula as well. My girlfriend and I barely touched that panini, even though we were hungry. The Coffee isn't bad, I like how they give individual French presses but every time we come here their cakes are always SO DRY! Especially the Chocolate chocolate cake I believe it was called "Chocolate Dream" it was so dry it was hard to finish. Their desserts also seem very limited. I came here with a friend and we both ordered the Black Diamond Latte. It was great! I enjoy trying their speciality lattes. They offer different teas as well for tea lovers. They also have food and desserts to pick from. They offer Table 87 pizza which is AMAZING! I have also gone here to sit and read a book or even to study. It's a nice quiet cafe. It's a very cozy cafe to sit and relax, wish I took a picture of the place cuz I like its design, kinda like a library on one side. Had carrot cake and cappuccino, the cake was moist and yummy, they added whip cream to the side whcih gave a flavor when mixed with the cake. You don't have to stand in line and wait to place your order, you can grab the menu and take a seat and they'll serve you. They have a couple of tables outside; however it was cold and we preferred sitting inside to stay warm :) read more
