French press for one - A glass French press with a red lid and handle, filled with brewed coffee, sits on a wooden table in a cafe setting.

This is a cozy cafe. The customers are mostly people who live in the area. I went here with my laptop and I was able to use their fast WiFi. They have good coffee. I liked that my coffee came in the French press. Btw, it's waiter/waitress service.

Banana Strawberry Smoothie & Iced Caramel Latte

Such a cute spot! I love how late they stay open as well. The staff was kind, I ordered a smoothie (Banana/Strawberry w/ yogurt) it was really tasty! The ice latte my friend got was really good too, whatever caramel syrup they use is really sweet and amazing. It can get pretty busy here but I went during a slower hour, great spot!

Super cute Cafe! Street parking for New York but I love how cute it is inside and the staff was really friendly! I stopped by to grab stuff to eat and some coffee. We had the specials - Serendipity and Super Blue. I asked for them to be less sweet but both were absolutely delicious. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Croissant and the Panini (The Portino? I can't quite remember). Both were delicious! I definitely recommend coming here. The desserts and baked goods look really good too!. The two lattes and sandwiches and the Crumb cake was about $33. The sandwiches also came with chips. Will be coming back!

Super cute coffee shop that sales fresh baked goods. The staff was very helpful and the carrot cake I ordered to go was even better than i expected. Next time I'm in the area I'll definitely stop in again and try some coffee or espresso and another tasty treat!

This place smells amazing and has such a fun vibe, but that's where the positives end. The coffee? Terrible. Honestly, the worst I've ever had--undrinkable, really. And the food? Definitely microwaved. It was like they just reheated pre-packaged stuff. Such a shame because it has so much potential, but the quality is just awful. Oh and a worker was eating peanut butter out of the giant commual peanut butter and double dipped ... it looked like that was what makes the customers lattes unless she just carries around a supersize business size peanut butter... yuck!

Lovely spot! Great service, and super cozy decor. Had a toasted croissant and felt like I was on a vacation away from Bay Ridge !!

Nice specials. - A chalkboard sign on a sidewalk displays September specials, including coffee drinks like School's Back Latte, Golden Harvest Moon, and Marian's Magic, with colorful handwritten text and illustrations.

Came here for a coffee this morning. There were a few people inside the shop. The place was clean and decorated for fall. I was taken care of right away. I was a little undecided on what to get. The barista suggested the pumpkin coffee and said she would make a fresh pot. Within in minutes I had my large pumpkin coffee made to my liking. It was really good. The price was right and well worth it. While waiting for the coffee I looked at the selection of bakery items including muffins. The muffins looked very good. It seemed everyone sitting there was having a great time at that hour of the morning. There was a nice smell in the air. I would definitely suggest grabbing coffee from here. I will definitely be back. One more thing the coffee was not bitter at all. I been noticing places have been using coffee that is so bitter that you need to put in like four sugars. Great job!

I've walked by this cafe numerous times and there's always people hanging out at all hours so I decided to give it a try. The cafe is open later than most places in the area and it's a great spot to chill out and relax. I came here for a late lunch and ordered a panini and an Arnold palmer. The drink was sweet and slightly tart from the lemonade and the panini was hot with a good crisp on the outside. Everything was pretty standard and generally fine. The atmosphere is relaxed and you don't feel rushed to leave. There are people working, reading, chit chatting, and/or savoring their beverages and pastries.

Very sour ambience. After the barista scowled at me was asked if I wanted to take my coffee to go - I did.

Used to be one of my go to places. But the owners are the rudest. Would not recommend going when they are there.

Boca Del Cielo - Bay Ridge Brunch Gem…read more I stopped by Boca de Cielo in the Bay Ridge area for brunch with the kids, and it turned out to be such a cozy and welcoming spot. You order your food at the front counter, and while we waited, the owner surprised us with a complimentary almond croissant since it was our first visit. It was absolutely delicious -- flaky, fresh, and easily one of the best almond croissants I've ever had. The menu has a great variety of options. We went with the steak and eggs and buttermilk street pancakes. The steak was tender and full of flavor, the home fries were seasoned perfectly, and the pancakes were fluffy and delicious. We also tried the Tropical Bliss Juice, a refreshing blend of pineapple, mango, and orange that's freshly pressed to order. From the warm decor to the amazing food and friendly service, everything about this place was fantastic. I can't wait to come back and try more items on their menu!

Today, I deviated from my norm and got the beet boost (the ginger shined through - which I loved); I got the steak wrap w/o tomatoes - definitely good. This came w/a salad (but your cheapy iceberg lettuce ;) and balsamic drizzle - all in all, a delicious meal. The seating has definitely changed the quality of the food and dranks are still fire

I had no intention of staying--my plan was simply to walk her in and leave--but she insisted I try one of their cookies and sit for a moment. Unfortunately, that brief visit was more than enough to confirm that this is a place I would not willingly return to. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming. Instead of a basic greeting or even neutral acknowledgment, the woman behind the counter looked me up and down with a visible scowl, as though my presence was somehow offensive. First impressions matter in hospitality, and this one could not have been worse. A coffee shop should feel warm and inviting; this one felt the opposite. The environment itself did little to redeem the experience. The overall vibe was dull and unappealing, lacking the comfort and energy that usually make neighborhood cafés enjoyable places to spend time. Rather than feeling like a community space, it felt tense and awkward. Service and atmosphere are the bare minimum for any café. When both are lacking, it raises serious questions about how the business expects to retain customers. Based on this visit alone, Brooklyn Brew Cafe left the impression of a place that has forgotten the most basic principle of hospitality: treat people like they are welcome. Needless to say, I would not recommend this café to anyone looking for a pleasant place to grab coffee or spend time.
