    Margarita Flight
    Geraldine E.

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at Xochitl Taqueria. The service was great, and Vanessa was very accommodating . I came towards the end of their happy hour and tried margaritas. We also ordered chips and salsa. The chips had a hint of spicy seasoning. It came with three different salsa our favorite was the light red one. My friend and I tried tacos. I had the regular tacos and she had the mx tacos which were smaller and with a crunchy shell. We both ordered the Barbacoa tacos , mx and regular soft shells and they were great. Well seasoned, stuffed to the top and juicy. I also enjoyed the fish taco with the sauce. We also got the margarita flight. We tried the coconut, passionfruit, guava, and pineapple and. Then after the flight we had two more margaritas. Ginger and spicy. The spicy margarita is spicy so fair warning.. this place was very clean cute with Mexican decor such as a sombrero and the Mexican map. They have decorations hanging from the walls. I'll definitely come back here. The prices are very affordable. During happy hour margaritas are $7 regular $8 flavor from 4pm-7pm Monday to Friday.

Grabbed a quick dinner here and it was tasty. I especially liked the aguacate taco. The street tacos came with _a lot_ of onions so be aware!

Yummy and affordable burritos! I got the Smith St Burrito with steak and was so impressed it was $11! It was a refreshing burrito with very fresh, finely chopped lettuce, tomato, and fresh guac. I thought it could use a bit more steak (and have had better carne asada truthfully) but honestly can't complain for the value. It was filling and I could barely finish all of it! The interior was comfortable and clean, and the service was friendly. I came with two friends on a Sunday, right when they opened, and we walked in without a reservation. It didn't get too busy while we were there, but a lot of people did stop by for pickup orders. Overall super happy with the burrito and would come back to try their tacos!

Diablo Shrimp Burrito with a staple we didn't ask for.

Shrimp burrito was not worth the price: 5 shrimp (one of which tasted off), blandly seasoned filling, and fairly small. But the real kicker was when my partner got only 2 bites into their diablo shrimp burrito and pulled out both a staple and a shrimp tail from their mouth! Super dangerous with bad consequences had the staple been swallowed. No way we would ever eat from here again.

My friend and I came here for lunch on a slow afternoon when we had a Monday off from work. The place is spacious and festively decorated with bright colors, flags, inspirational sayings, as well as artwork. One of my favorite featured quotes on hot pink background: "Let's start believing that we deserve everything we want, instead of thinking we're not good enough." We were served complimentary chips and salsa, which were soo good! The chips had a wonderful crunch to them and simply addicting. Of course, I had the Horchata for my drink and it was the real deal - meaning no powdered mix was used. It was creamy smooth, delightfully cinnamony, and just the right amount of sweetness. I ordered the Chimichanga, which is a crispy burrito and I selected fried fish as my choice of meat. The burrito was huge, and came packed with rice, topped with enchilada sauce and melted cheese. I loved the fish, which was actually still slightly crispy even drenched in the well seasoned, flavorful sauces. The fish was also tender and absolutely delicious! There was tons of satisfying melty cheese over crunchy shell. All the ingredients worked perfectly together, creating mouthwatering bites. Service was great! Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I would like to return at some point to try the crab meat taquitos and one of the platters, such as the Carne Asada & Cheese Enchilada.

Found this place on a Sunday Funday! I love the menu. Fun options for everyone. Fresh, delicious and filling! Nice place for dates, families and friend hangouts. Indoor seating and street parking. Staff was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu... which is soooo helpful when you're trying to pick from all the options. Be sure to ask your server..."What's your favorite pick on the menu"? Most times, their input totally opens your eyes to even yummier meal selections For more: @YumYumYemi TikTok/Instagram

Tacos with the three different sauces on the left and the chimichanga in the back

Yum yum yum! This place is a great taco spot! It's rare for a place to offer chimichangas nowadays but it is a pretty mighty one with huge amounts of cheese on it. Even though it looks huge it actually isn't as much portion wise compared to other Mexican restaurants nearby like Castro's or Los Pollitos III on Myrtle. The tacos were good as I had the Al pastor, steak and fish one, the fish came fried which is not my preference but if it is yours I would totally recommend it. It reminds me of a mozzarella cheese stick breading. The steak is not hard and it's very juicy which I am so grateful for... I'm not a hard meat lover. The al pastor had the best flavor and the pineapple was decently spread out in the taco so the flavor remains in the few bites I took. The real winner was their green sauce. All the tacos were not that amazing until I put the green sauce on it. I totally recommend getting that one for the chips and salsa as well. When you order chips and salsa they will come with three if you want the mix but I would say the red sauces do not really taste that big of a difference.

Hubs and I got dinner here on a weeknight and it was great! Service was fast and attentive. We got the MX and Fish taco combos. We both agreed though that the fish tacos were the best. It was flavorful and the fish was perfectly cooked (not dry). Also enjoyed the guac and chips. Recommend the fish tacos if you go!

Our reservation was for 8:30pm, but we arrived early and Alejandra, the hostess, was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Even though she was ready to seat us, we decided to hang at the bar until the rest of our party arrived and that was the perfect move. Alkarys behind the bar was top-tier. She recommended the Siempre Reposado, and let me tell you... smooth, clean, dangerously good. If you're into tequila, that's a must. Now let's talk about the food. We ordered the quesadilla, rajas, tamales, tacos, and the queso fundido and every single dish hit. The queso fundido came out bubbling, rich, perfectly melted with that pull you want when you scoop it up. The tamales were moist and packed with flavor, wrapped beautifully and clearly made with care. The rajas had that perfect balance of roasted pepper sweetness and savory depth. The tacos? Authentic, well-seasoned, and layered with flavor, no shortcuts. Even the quesadilla stood out, crispy on the outside with that perfectly melted interior. Everything felt traditional, elevated but still true to its roots. You can taste the authenticity. Service was attentive without being overbearing, the ambiance was super casual and laid back, the kind of Brooklyn spot you pull up to for a real dinner experience, not just a quick bite. Highly recommend this place if you're out and about in Brooklyn. Definitely coming back for the tequila, the queso fundido, and round two of those tacos. I'm gonna try eating at the bar to check out the spot in the front of the house.

AMBIANCE: Walking to the restaurant from the subway, it's located on an unassuming block at the corner of 4th St and Havemeyer in Williamsburg, front of store doesn't particularly stand out. Walking in they've decorated with creative, crafty (in a good way) touches--the multitude of ropes draped from the ceiling add dimension to the ceiling and the bar back wall is composed of wood pieces forming a multi-colored herringbone pattern. Textured glass pendant lights hanging from the ceiling throw mini geometric patterns across the dark walls, and vibrant canvas artworks add pictorial interest along the walls. FOOD: YUM. I can see why this place was jam packed on a Saturday night, and reservations are needed. Strong recommendation for their tasting menu at $58 pp, what a delightful meal! 8 sharing dishes and 3 desserts were perfect for a party of five, and drinks are separate though you can add a cocktail pairing for $47. For each main they provide a serving per person, and the desserts are shared. I came hungry and was so full by the end of the meal--everything was delicious! - grapefruit guacamole w/house-made chips: the grapefruit chunks were "meaty" and surprisingly went really well with the guac, it added a different citrus element than the usual lime. Comes with a small bowl of maybe 6-7 chips and we asked for two chips refills since the chips to guac and salsa ratio was low. - spicy faroe islands' salmon tartar: tasty and I liked the latin flavors and corn, snow peas, a touch of wasabi. Flavors of the sesame-soy-truffle-lemon vin and crema got a little muddled. Relatively more "generic" dish of the evening though I was here for it! Any dish with fresh tender salmon, I can't complain. - blue crab and carrot tostada, generous shredded crab salad on top of freshly crisp blue corn tortilla. Topped with pumpkin seeds, dill, cilantro, and saffron-orange aioli. - three cheese & artichoke 'queso fundido': served in a very hot ceramic pot and super melty and delicious, eaten with the fluffy grilled pita and green apple slices + salsa. One of the top picks of the evening. - roasted bone marrow and chorizo, served as tacos with fresh blue corn tortillas, and added a sprinkle of pickled onions--does that sound amazing? Bc it was AAHMAZING. - spicy chipotle-guajillo shimp 'diablo' (not spicy): served with pumpkin tortillas and three accompaniments on the side--mushroom chile crisp, horseradish crema, celery 'salsa macha". Part 2 to make your own tacos was another hit! Our entire table agreed if they sold the sauce for the shrimp we'd all buy it. - heritage pork osso bucco 'carnitas' with Fall-spiced black mole, sour cherry mostardo, calabrian chile pesto: cue drooling now. This part 3 of the tacos was served on pumpkin tortillas; the meat was practically falling off the bone, tender, juicy and flavorful. - buffalo-style com 'elote: sooo good too! A little messier to eat since it comes drizzled with spicy hot sauce butter, feta, lime aioli, cilantro, though totally worth it! - Desserts: --green tea matcha churros: comes with two little pots of spiced mexican chocolate & passion fruit sauce. Warm, sugary and crisp without being too sweet. --pumpkin spiced-vanilla flan: topped with sour cherries, cocoa nibs & toasted seed 'trail mix", if you love flan you'll love this, so smooth and creamy with a bit of crunch and tang from the cherries. --pistachio tres leches cake with cream cheese frosting, raspberry, using an olive oil cake: we all agreed this was probably the best tres leches we've ever had. The pistachio nuttiness and the creaminess from the milks paired well. SERVICE: Very friendly and attentive service though it was very loud in the restaurant and they had to really shout. There was a delay in the middle of our meal I think bc kitchen was slammed, after the entree we waited about 35 min for our desserts. Considering they limited the seating to 2 hours and about half of our party arrived 20 min late, and accounting for the long wait pre-dessert, they did us solid by extending our table time by about an hour in total. Also great that they brought the first dessert out with a candle for my friend's birthday.
