Food was decent but I was disappointed in the amount of seafood. The scallops were basically quartered (instead of whole). The 3 shrimps were mediocre in size. And the balance of seafood was tasty, but unrecognizable due to how small the pieces were. Service was ok, as two tables that sat after us were served before us. Maybe another shot before writing this off. As this meal pales when I recall my last experience

One of the OG in Chinatown. Hong Kong style Café with one uncle whom can cook a hundred dishes I must say. Awesome All delicious starting with porridge with pork & thousand egg, baked pork chop with cheese & tomato sauce, beef chow fun with scallion, rice noodles with liver & finishing up with hot mochi with peanut & black sesame. Excellent! Only draw back is decon still in 90's. But wait!! all less $50.00 which is a steal in this economy

It is authentic however the taste is just soso the crispy dough is way too hard! The beef stew is pretty chewy...Service is okay but the food is not outstanding in my point of view.

Been frequenting this place since I was a teen with my family and it is still a go to of mine whenever I'm in Chinatown. They have a vast menu and the food is good and cheap. Service is typically very quick and we get seated immediately. My go to is typically the baked fried rice with minced meat and the rice roll with crispy dough. Their congee is good as well. Keep in mind gratuity is included in the pricing

It's a very old-fashioned Hong Kong-style restaurant, but all the dishes are very fresh and cooked to order. The staff are friendly and the seating is comfortable.

Service was quick and good. Waitstaff was attentive, explanatory and patient with us since we were indecisive. Certain dishes lacked flavor (chicken feet, dumplings) but others were flavorful and a bit on the salty side. As you can see from the pictures, there were plenty of pages to the menu; the menu is also plastered as decor all over the restaurant.

Went back for the variety of food. Flavor is consistent and good. Wings have been seriously affected by shrinkflation. Air conditioning was not able to keep up with summer heat.

A local chinese spot. I came with a few friends for dim sum and for what you share, you can get decently full for a really cheap price. It is a local spot and a lot of the staff here are immigrants, so ideally its best to speak chinese with them if you can, but you can still manage with speaking English. Service is quick and attentive. Ambiance has a hint of vintage to it but authentic Chinese atmosphere. A lot of locals from the chinatown area do come here and you can tell with how a lot of people are speaking in their mother tongue. The staff may not be perceived as the friendliest but don't take it personally, they just want to make sure you get what you want. Try to know what you want ahead of time if you can.

Before covid, I frequent this restaurant and the sister on Hester many many times before. Today I ordered takeout and not realized how expensive it has became. Why does this sad bowl of tasteless mei fun cost $20.25? I see why the restaurant was empty inside. Crap ass food + extortionate $ is a sure way to drive customers away!

Chinatown restaurants are so underrated. This is a cool pace to try HK style food. I had their chicken wings and was pretty good but their pan-fried chicken dumplings were really nice. Tasted home made. Service was average foe Chinese restaurant but live the decor. The place is definitely bigger than its appearance from outside. Can't wait to come back to try other dishes.

    136. Baked Pork Chop with Cheese over Rice in Casserole
    Amy C.

Came on a Sunday afternoon and was seated right away. Baked pork chop over rice (5/5) - I absolutely love HK food and they prepared the baked dishes so well! The rice is an egg fried rice layered under the pork chop and tomato sauce, which was more of a savory tomato stew with melted cheese on top. Like what more can you ask for! Sizzling chicken plate (4.5/5) - chicken was made perfectly - so juicy and tender. The sauce that it's paired with is some sort of black bean based sauce - such a great pairing! The -.5 is only because the rice was a bit too dry but makes sense as it's sitting on the sizzling plate. Chicken feet (1/5) - it was very watered down. No flavor. Shrimp dumplings (2/5) - the dough was a bit too thick compared to the amount of shrimp filling you get. Filling is simply shrimp and garlic slices. Overall okay dish. Iced milk tea (1/5) - it was slightly sour. Think they served it with milk that was at the cusp of expiring/expired. Would recommend coming if you're looking for comforting hot HK entrees! Would skip on the dim sum.

Not the best customer service but that's an Asian restaurant for you. The chow fun was really good. Beware of the 18% tip they add to your total, we didn't notice it until we paid.

    Bake spaghetti w pork chop

Food here is good but not great. Got the baked spaghetti w pork chop and bake scallops w cheese and mayo. Overall the meal cost $39 and change..but w add on service charge. I thought service charge is for 6 people or more..not just 2 people.

Was with family - in the moment and enjoying so I have no photos, sadly. Their alcohol menu consists of beer and wine. Tsing tao and Sauvignon blanc were our drinks of choice - as they were out of both options of sake. To eat - we had a little of everything - the wonton soup, veggie dumplings, pork soup dumplings, the ribs, braised beef noodles, the eggplant dish and ones of the fish. Everything was absolutely delish and the service was quick. They were also out of the dessert we wanted - the green tea cheesecake but we had the pumpkin dessert which was phenomenal! It came out hot and had red bean paste in the middle! Absolutely delicious. Took off one star because there were a couple of things we requested that were unavailable but aside from that the food was delicious and the service was great! Definitely check them out - there are multi locations in the city!

The restaurant is near my friend's place. The place was exactly what we were looking for... Inexpensive, cozy and comfortable atmosphere! The place was a little busy, and didn't take reservations, but we were seated immediately. Amazing service and delicious food! The food was fresh and came out fast. Portions are generous, so you definitely won't leave hungry. My favorite dish was the Signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, which was delicious and flavorful, and also gluten free, dairy free and soy free. Others had something else I had no interest in to remember the name. Their menu has many options to offer, including gluten free, soy free, and dairy free options. We would come back again and highly recommend you check out this place if you are in Murray Hill Manhattan. My only complaint was that I noticed a male staff member leave the restroom without flushing the toilet, which took away from an otherwise positive dining experience.

The beef soup is clear and light and the noodles have a delightful texture, with a slight chew and good bounce. There's a good portion of braised beef as well. Tender but a bit fatty for my taste, but given the portion it's not going to kill you. Lamb burger ended up as overkill and will be consumed as leftovers but a quick sampling let me know that it's gamey and fatty with strong notes of cumin. Not a bad thing, but something to note for people that might not generally enjoy lamb or cumin. Black pepper beef rice bowl was solid too. Spice wise, you can calibrate accordingly but I'd recommended at least their regular spice level. Decent amount of tenderized but still chewy beef. Both dishes came with a salad of celery, carrot, cucumber, peanuts and seaweed strips in a light sauce. Couldn't quite figure out the sauce but it was lightly tart and refreshing. Space is clean and modern. Neutral wood, well lit. Service is friendly enough. If you dine in, you order at the kiosk and they'll deliver to your table. We had leftovers that they graciously packed up. Solid choice. I hope they stick around as they do bring a different cuisine to the area.
