Great customer service, the staff are really helpful! However I can't come back to this store. I had my car booted today in the lot and I was so upset. It's right before Christmas and that lot is incredibly confusing!! It looks like central savings parking on the right and Xfinity on the left but there is no parking for Xfinity customers. It was so frustrating and Xfinity needs to put up better signs or lease some spots for their customers. I was so enraged I'm still thinking about canceling my internet and tv service with them. It is really the fault of Central Savings who hired a private company to boot cars in that lot but Xfinity needs to be proactive because it affects their customers!! read more

Zero would be more appropriate. I waited on the list for over an hour in the store. When I noticed people that came in after me were being served the manager told me that they were calling and calling me. Not true. I was sitting right at the edge of the counter with my daughter. They forgot and worse yet when I wanted to talk to the manager about installing some kind of intercom system and wait board she just walked away from me and left me standing at the desk and wouldn't come back! This location illegally ran my credit without my permission. I went in to get internet service started. I specifically stated multiple times I didn't want my credit ran. I don't want that inquiry hit just for WiFi. I was told if I paid a deposit, my credit would not be checked. About 5 seconds after paying my deposit, I got a notification of a hard Inquiry on my credit report. I now have a hard inquiry on my credit report that I never authorized that will be there for the next two years. read more

Comcast is such a scam business. I had got a modem and set it up. I didn't have good service in part of my condo so I went back to buy a wifi extender pod. When I tried to set it up, it didn't connect properly. I called them for help and was told that my modem wasn't compatible with the pod and the only option was to go back to get a different modem. I rush to the store because they are almost closing and they tell me that it is, in fact, the correct modem and that they advertise as such. So I asked what my options are, they said you can pay $100 for a tech to go out. I said, I don't need a tech, I need the equipment you gave me to work. They said that I can go home and set it up myself. I said I already tried that. I said it didn't make sense that because their equipment didn't work, I should have to pay them more money. They said those are my options. Finally I asked for another modem, which they didn't even offer. I went back and was able to set it up. So, to summarize, they give you faulty equipment that is supposedly their latest and greatest. Then when you can't set it up properly and contact them for help, you get advice from someone who lies to you. Then they try to get you to pay another $100 without giving you any other feasible options. Comcast is and always will be THE WORST. read more

I love going into this location when I need help. The customer service there is Amazing. The staff is always smiling and very helpful. I would like to Give a big Thank you to Mary she is the best at what she does and has a contagious smile. She's was super nice, very understanding and patient when she was working with my grandmother and I. She truly cares about her customers. Modem was having issues, called customer service they said to come in the store and get a replacement. I thought I was going to be there for hours but to my surprise I was there for 20mins max! They were very friendly, fast and most important they replaced the modem and cable! I am very satisfied with the service. read more

Chloe Gilmore is a horrible employee! Long story short: I received an email the day before from xfinity stating my account was audited and I was going to be charged $30 more per month. I talked to customer service today who suggested coming to the Ashland office to get things sorted out. I originally talked to Jose who resolved the charges but also notice my contract was going to end in about 1 week and gave me a new promo. So far no real problems. I then return within 15 minutes to ask a couple of questions but Jose is on break. I end up taking to Chloe Gilmore. I state that I just entered into a new promo that will charge me $30 more a month for services I do not need. How much is just the internet? Chloe reports that internet is $80 per month but there are promos but she cannot tell them to me until my contract ends in a week. I told her that doesn't make sense because Jose just told me some promos and changed me to another Promo while I am still in the same contract. I said this is stupid and useless. Chloe said "you are useless!" I asked for her name and left. I called customer service who gave me an internet promo $50 per month and resolved the situation. People do not need to be treated poorly when trying to solve simple problems. Chloe was being lazy by not looking up the promos and did not want to help me and followed this up by calling me useless. One call to customer service resolved the situation in only a few moments. read more

i almost never leave reviews online, but leaving this store without any recourse i need to give other potential customers a heads up. somehow this location was able to actually exceed comcast's reputation for incompetency and horrible customer service. i purchased a product at the ashland location which no representative from the store nor the comcast hotline was able to activate. i made two, TWO additional trips back to the location taking time out of my days and still no service. ultimately, i've been told that the defective item and service purchased couldn't be returned because it exceeded the 30 days on the receipt, even though i made THREE trips to the store within the 30 days. the management knew this, remembered me and still denied my request knowing they couldn't activate the purchased item. there, ladies and gentlemen, is your renowned comcast customer service read more

Came here because cable contract was expiring. Told Johnny what we were looking for. He gave us several options. He was able to answer all my questions and we left with a deal we were happy with. While we mainly talked with Johnny, Tamara assisted him. I also mentioned we were frequently getting error message "can't connect to X1 server". He suggested swapping out the cable box to see if that helped -- no additional cost. Employees in past visits were also very pleasant and helpful. Often there is a wait here because of the number of people who come in but today there was none. I guess it helps to come around 1pm on a Friday. read more

I woke up to discover my dvr box had died overnite I was dreading having to go to the comcast office on North ave .I was informed there is a new xfinity store on Ash land ave so I went there. Not only was it closer to me it was such a refreshing change. You're greeted at the door by a nice man who directs you to have a seat on a comfortable couch where you will wait a SHORT time until a person can assist you. Worst customer service ever. Called to set up service, the person was rude. Sounded like she was reading of a script. Read of all terms & conditions to me & during I asked a a question she told me to be quiet til she finished reading which was torture. After all this she never activated my account. What she did was put all my info on the prev. Customers account at my address so I was getting test messages which were meant for ptev. Customer. Comcast has a complete monopoly on Chicago for high speed internet and cable TV. This location trys to differentiate a commodity. Every sales person in the store must commute from South Chicago. It is like talking with the cast of The Chi on Showtime! There is a lack of understanding basic questions like price and service options. Nothing is written down, and no reference to where prices and options are available to review in writing. There is no way to determine what an actual invoice/ monthly bill will be in $$. They want to sell you on the monthly promotion. You most likely will have to visit this location multiple times to establish basic service. There seems to be a lack of understanding basic equipment settings. The workers are all smiles, but you feel like they talk about you when you leave. Not a good location, mostly because the "managers" appear to lack experience. Hey Comcast, do you read social media?...do something...hire employees that can add, subtract and divide. I know, a big ask. What do you do to get internet service?...pound sand? Comcast has no need to improve service, there are no other options for most people! I visited this store today a little bit ago to see if I was able to return my cable box (we never use it) and lower my monthly charges. The woman who helped me was a taller, medium shaped African American with shoulder length wavy hair. I only give her description because in the heat of the moment I forgot to get her name and she needs to be held accountable for her actions. No paying customer or even human being should be treated the way she treated me. She hands down me gave me the worst customer experience I have ever received in my life from any business. From the beginning, there was eye rolling followed by hands put on the head out of frustration as if she was sooooo irritated that she actually had to work at her place of work. All of this over me asking trivial questions that I needed to ask regarding my account. Simple questions that I needed answered which is why I came to the store in the first place. Her attitude became increasingly worse during our 5 minute encounter. It ended with her literally YELLING at me as if she were about to get into a street fight in front of other customers simply because I asked what the difference would be on my bill upon returning my box. I kept the same tone with her from the initial encounter and was appalled that she raised her voice and showed such utter disrespect and disgusting attitude towards a loyal customer. It resulted in me having to ask to receive help from a different representative who might show some respect and politeness. I am a person who can gladly admit when I'm wrong and I wouldn't even be leaving this review if I thought I had deserved that treatment in the slightest way. This was not the case. If I had an employee that treated people that way, they would be fired immediately. read more

i have called to get new services in my apartment and it was schuduled for last thrusday set up. they tech gets to my apartment just to tell me that the account is on ALLIP what is that i have now clue didnt explain it to me cause he didnt even know, didnt call anybody either, so had to reschdule the appointmnt for a saturday,, while im at work my boyfriend is at the house waiting i get a call saying they will not be able to come out and do the services due to low staff and didnt have the right tech to come out and install it so they took it upon their self to reschudule again for monday now i lost hours for thrusday and i have no other time me and my boyfriend work either all day or different schudules and cant take off so i gave them a call back and remind you that wendesday i had to put a down payment and the money was tooken off my card in less then 5 minutes but yet when i called to cancel the account and service cause all i got was a run around, one person tells me the money will be refunded back on my card then transfers me over to someone who can tell me how long i have to wait for the refund and its gonna take a whole month to close the account plus i will be recieving a check in the mail for the amount i had to pay, but cant reund it back on my card, so now i have to go to a currency and Cash a check that should of been refunded back onto my card full price to only get back less then the amount i had to pay.... GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE....
