Comcast damaged my electrical pipe on my property because they tied their comcast line to my property. I stopped by labor day weekend and noticed that my electric pipe had been ripped out off the wall. There was loose cables in my backyard and I could not even see where the line had connected in the alley. Had Comcast not connected their line to my pipe, it would still be attached to my building. That Tuesday I contacted Comcast to resolve the issue. The customer service agents were amazing and told me I should receive a couple within the next couple weeks. Unfortunately, that call never happened. The ticket was closed without any information on what happened. I proceeded to open two more ticket before I was told it should listed as a new connection but be a hazard repair which would only take three days to complete instead of two weeks. I still had not received a call from the people whom are responsible for making the repairs. I then waited another three days and spoke to a supervisor name Frank that promised to have the issue resolved and would called me directly if nothing happens. When I called back the following week, I found out there there was no ticket submitted for the repair. I then spoke to another supervisor name Jose that told me he find a way to place a service request so that it would not be listed as a new line. He promised he would talk to the repair crew to have the repairs made. I explained to him that the repair is only four screws that needed to be screwed back into my wall. I asked to speak to manager and then I was transferred to someone whom told me that they were Philippine or was in the Philippines. They would not let me speak to a manager, then hung up on me when they did not want to look up my Er service number. With Jose I thought that the will would be resolved, with Frank I could tell that he could careless. I then followed to place requests with Gregory and Joseph. Both said that the repairs would take less than an hour and will be completed. Joseph is looking into why not explanations were made as to why the tickets were closed, but I have yet to get a return call from anyone. In the pictures you can see that the bottom cable is the one that pulled the pipe out of the wall. The top of the pipe is still connected so you can tell that it was not anything that happened above it that cause it to come off. The repairs would be easy for a crew to do, there are four clamps with normal screws that can be drilled back in place. Frustrated Customer: Comcast/Xfinity Needs Improvement I used Comcast/Xfinity (Xfinity from here on) for several years, but lately, their service has been disappointing. While it started well during the initial work-from-home surge in 2020, things have gone downhill. Price Increases and Service Discrepancies My initial bill for all services was $175. However, it inexplicably ballooned to $308.14 with fewer included services. I supposedly have the highest tier TV and streaming package, but several premium channels and specific packages are missing. Unreliable Internet and Limited Coverage Further frustrating is the unreliable internet service. Despite subscribing to the advertised "superfast internet 800 plan" with speeds of 800mbps, it barely functions. My purchase of three Xfinity Pods did little to improve the situation. The internet is slow and spotty at best, often throttled, mirroring the unreliable cellular service with weak 5G signals, even near towers. Forced Reliance on Alternative Solutions Because of these issues, I have to resort to using my work phone's hotspot for my work computer at home. This is far from ideal. Limited Options and the Hope for Improvement Unfortunately, leaving Xfinity is difficult. My family also works from home, and we require faster internet than what our current competitor, AT&T, offers. We're hopeful that Google Fiber will soon be available in our area. Starlink is also an option, though large trees in our yard pose a potential obstacle. Disappointing Customer Service Recently, I contacted Xfinity to discuss lowering my costs. After a frustrating wait of over a week to speak to a representative (appointments are now required due to fewer agents), I was told I was already on their "cheapest" plan. Considering the current service and overall value, this response was underwhelming. Breakdown of Costs and Recommendation Currently, I rent a router, two wireless cable boxes, and a wired cable box from Xfinity, for a total of $308.14 per month. This is on top of the supposedly "cheap" cellular service at an additional $63.56 monthly. Given the poor quality of services across the board, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your internet and cable needs. Xfinity should be a last resort, not your first choice. One Positive Outcome On a positive note, Xfinity's high prices did motivate me to cut the cord on cable TV. The frustration with their exorbitant pricing, unreliable services, and poor customer service ultimately led me to seek better value elsewhere. Conclusion: Avoid if Possible I would rate my experience with Xfinity a 0 out of 10. While they initially offered a good service, it has significantly declined. ARGHHH! why can't we have more than two expensive options for Internet? I have the wonderful ability to work from home up to 2 days a week, but i have to have Internet and phone service. For the past month or so both have been intermittent at best (my line is buried; one TV, two laptops at most, one phone - no pets). I called, i went to the distribution office for a modem swap and was told they couldn't do that with a phone modem. Call customer service for a tech and was told they could have swapped out the modem (who's telling the truth?) He sets up an appointment for later that week. He stated, as they have the past month, area issues, but the TV always works and it doesn't always affect those around me....hmmmm area issues, right. Now, the tech that came was the best I've seen with any company. He did his job and more. He decided i needed a new line because he thought my neighbor may have nicked mine when they put in new dirt for a trampoline. he ran new line (to be buried of course at a later date) and set up a new modem. Even though his company supplied phone (Sprint) could not consistently get a signal he stuck with it until he got everything running. He set up the dig but it was on a day when i had surgery but he couldn't change the date. I go back again to distributing to turn in the temp modem they loaned me (which did not work either) and they said i had to called customer service to get the dig date changed. At this point both my neighbor and i realized the new line was wayyyy too long. There are huge loops on the pole where her kids play and the same where it attaches to my house. Since this is not flexible it sticks out and we're talking about an extra 5 to 10 feet at the pole and then my house. I call to get that fixed before they bury since a 3rd party buries and i know from past experience they won't fix this. After 2 hours, 3 calls nothing; absolutely nothing to address this issue. I have no doubt they will come out on 7/3 and say there's nothing they can do and call Comcast. This on the top of the fact that new customers get better deals than existing? and if you call about the new deal you're told well we can only offer you a 'deal' (which is not as good as the new customer BTW) once every 2 years. So Comcast, I'm now looking for other options and my Internet and phone are STILL sporadic....those area wide outages when the sun is brightly shining, right? read more

Comcast Business Cl ass... If I could give them ZERO stars I would. I am on my 11th call trying to get a supervisor. I have been disconnected twice and am on hold again for the past 15 minutes. My business has been on perpetual contract with Comcast since January 2009. We have relocated offices twice, the most recent being June 1 2013. Last move they said we had to resign paperwork for the new location, which in essence extended the contract for two more years. On August 1 2014 we relocated again - and this is when the aggravation and massive customer service disconnect occurred. Every week, starting in late July we have called to try to discontinue our services. Each call ends the same way, "I will see what we can do". This morning we were transferred to SALES and he said just use Comcast Business at your home - sent a docu-sign email and BOOM a new contract for two more years! We said NO we are going virtual since our employees are based throughout the US and after 5 years we no longer need Comcast. So now, after 35 minutes, and another horrible customer service rep "Wayne" at 800/391.3000, who insists there are "no supervisors" on staff right now and that there is nothing he can do for me, has put me back on hold to speak with billing so I can pay the MAFIA off. New customer service rep at "billing department" says other than paying 75% "early termination fee" (how is 5 years early?) $1275 is what they want - but he can't accept payment until we speak with a customer retention agent (again!) (866) 925-9605 is the retention number I was just given (and now on hold for an estimated another 25 minutes). Oh so now on with "retention" and now we are being told can't cancel until they receive the drop service form. Once form is received THEN it takes effect in 60 days. Next call will be the Illinois Attorney General's Office. RUN don't walk away from Comcast! I never seen most sucking company like xfinity! It is very suckable service provider this xfinity comcast. Hey Guys check your bills !!! this xfinity billing department is adding unexplainable charges to your bill, even they couldn't explain it. Also when we switched to xfinity they told us you will get great service and talked to much bull s**t . When it came time to provide these services with no charge the began to charge me tons of dollars. Manager and Employee from billing department gave me hard time. After 15 times transfer My call have landed to billing department to Mr David and I began explain him AGAIN that i get huge additional amount on my bill why is that? can you explain it please? He tells me we charged you additionally for transfer of your service from one apartment to another. Help to movers service !!! I have been a telecom manager for fortune 200 companies for over 20 years and this is the very first time I have ever written a negative review. I don't have a problem with their service, what I do have a problem with is getting an invoice that is 15 days past it's bill date, sending out a payment, getting a disconnection letter 7 days after the due date saying that my invoice is 42 days late even though my service hasn't even been installed for that long. Being threatened to and lied to by collections department, getting a letter saying I have until 11/11/16 (20 days from today) for my payment to post then being told that my service will be disconnected tomorrow because I made a promise to pay of today. Which I didn't. The rep told me that the 11/11 day is when they will be coming to pick up the equipment, which is a lie. I told them my payment was sent 7 days ago, please note the account, but she said there is nothing they can do to prevent my service from being disconnected tomorrow, it's automated. So, being that my internet connection for a major healthcare facility is in the on some autopilot for disconnection 20 days before the letter states, I have no choice but to pay this on on my credit card, I have 30 accounts with this company, that will not be renewed and will be replaced with anything other than a company with this kind of business practices. Nor will I use Comcast for any new facilities. This makes At&t billing look efficient. read more

For about a year my parents Xfinity just 'sucks,' the phone and WiFi drops without notice. Their landline has more dropped calls than a mobile phone in a boat!!! Truly HORRIBLE. They have had repeated technician visits, all to No Avail, as the problem worsened, that is until Jeremy Johnson (tech 2897). Jeremy arrived and immediately diagnosed the issue, pointing to the wiring connectors. He then submitted what I believe was a follow up request, he also, gave a detailed explanation of the ongoing problem. However, when the next outside technician arrived, he refused to listen to the diagnosis and went on to tell my parents there was nothing wrong with the wiring, only moments after the follow up technician left, my parents landline and WiFi failed 'yet AGAIN.' I believe that pride on the part of the follow up technician, refusing to take the advice if a 'younger' tech!! So despite the Amazing diagnosis performed by Jeremy my parents service continues to SUCK!!! HELP!!!!! read more

Called in wanting to know about internet and get more information as soon as the phone was answered they asked me if I was interested in purchasing it and if not I could hang up because there was hundreds if not thousands of people waiting on the line not the greatest customer service I have ever dealt with of course if I was not interested in it I would not be calling them and then automatically you're calling for customer service because you want to know the pricing so obviously you want to stay on the line so they can give you more information. Kept repeating after telling me the prices that if I was not interested that he had to hang up or I that I could hang up just because there was hundreds and thousands of people waiting on the line. I have twice tried to get internet for 2 homes. The first one, they had a scheduled appointment that I had to cancel. Unfortunately, no one told the technician. The second time I schedule, no one showed up. The most disturbing thing is that at this location, Xfinity is the only option I have. Looks like I will forgo internet service at this house. At the second house, I ordered the self install kit online. Hooked it up, no internet. Called them and they said they would send a technician to make sure outside line was connected. He showed up, told me he was waiting for activation and left. Hooked everything up and no internet. They sent a signal 3 times to my modem. NOTHING! I told them to cancel the service. That took 30 minutes. I'll pay twice as much and stay with Verizon. At least I get good service from them. NEVER EVER AGAIN. read more

Just got off the phone with Comcast. Offices are closed, so I was unable to get a hold of a human being to dispute my charge (which went up from 44.95 to 69.95) until a month later. On May 7, I was told that the excess would be credited back to my account and my new charges would be 45. On May 20, I was charged 69.95 again and was told it would not be credited back and I was also being charged for renting a modem (which I apparently started renting in March? I've owned my own modem for the last 2 or 3 years). Atile, customer service number 3601924, was very unhelpful, put in a ticket supposedly, but refused to acknowledge that I would get a credit back for the extra 24.95 that was charged to my account. If there is any way to go with another provider, I highly recommend anyone but comcast and I will be switching after this dispute. read more

Xfinity/Comcast is a criminal corporation. I'm not sure how much they have bribed the FCC to be able to be a monopoly, but they are. Because of that they treat their customers like garbage. I saw someone mention ATT as an option. Apparently they don't know that ATT broadband is owned by Comcast too? And Comcast has set it up so ATT offers top speeds of 6 mbps (might be able to check your email) for a ridiculous price, thereby eliminating them as an option. Comcast customer service is simply designed to run you in circles and waste your time until you give up and go away. The FCC should be investigated for whatever bribes they have obviously accepted to allow this. Comcast..... There's something wrong with these people, and it's kind of an expression of what's wrong with monopolies. They just don't care. They act almost as if they work for the worst kind of government administration, where they're just basically giving you your dole and you should be happy to get it at all, much less with any kind of urgency or pleasantness. And that's because they've got a monopoly. I can't get DirecTV in my building, nor RCN, and my only other internet option is a mobile broadband connection through Clear. One thing I will say, though - getting rid of Comcast broke me of having a landline telephone at all; I use my mobile exclusively. That knocked another $50-something off my bills for the month, and between that and Netflix Instant View and the Roku box, I don't even miss OnDemand. read more

WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE!!!! Claimed to have a promo package that is advertised $50 lower then the reality of what they charge. Now they are performing "upgrades" to their service (which is everything directv already included in their service). 4 technicians and 2 weeks later their explanation for why their upgrades ruined my service "i don't know what to tell you....just wait a little longer and if it still isn't working call us back". The best was their way to smooth things over for the hassle of missing work and erasing my dvr......$25 dollars off the monthly bill. Even with the bad signal during storms DirecTv was so much better. Now that they are giving 5 months FREE their service looks amazing. Sorry to the people who can not mount dishes, but anyone else should switch immediately. read more
