TV service isn't particularly reliable and the price is outrageous! When you try to get the price down...They are not very helpful and lately even lied to me to lower the price saying all my options would be the same, but eliminated on of my subscriptions which was important to me. When I called to complain about the lie... they were not honest even then saying I was speaking to a supervisor and then saying they weren't a supervisor. They don't listen to you when you reject options and just keep hammering you, usually in a foreign accent which you have trouble understanding. read more

I have had the $10 NOW wifi pass for nearly a year. Until yesterday, it worked great, no modem. All of a sudden, my wifi disappeared. No one at Xfinity can explain this to me. I understand that Xfinity doesn't make as much money on this pass as on modem-driven service, but you just yank it out with no warning? You even renewed my NOW pass a few days ago- then my internet was suddenly gone at 7:30 a.m. This is horrible customer service. I had to visit an Xfinity store to find out that this pass ($10 month, no modem) can't be renewed. Then why did Xfinity renew it and then yank it? You have a lot of explaining to do, both to me and to other customers who prepaid this pass and found that it disappeared. Shameful. read more

Ugh, I'm back to hating Xfinity / Comcast.  I've been a long time customer, and maybe a decade or so ago, going to their customer service was agony with long wait times, and various outages and issues.  Then, things improved for quite a few years and it seemed Comcast listened to the poor customer service reviews.  Now it seems we have fallen back to poor and infuriating circular customer service with no live agents to be had unless you're very lucky or have been on their chat line for hours.  It's ridiculous, and on top of that Xfinity's fees keep going up incessantly.  How about that ridiculous and ever rising monthly fee of $44.85 in "broadcast TV fee" and "regional sports fee", pfft - for what?  Also, don't forget the $14.07 in taxes, fees, and other charges.  I've just about had it and am very close to giving up on their cable TV for what they're charging. Recently, I just wasted so many hours dealing with their online chat agents that don't know what they're talking about.  Two times, after an hour texting them each time, they told me if I went to their so-called Flex/Zumo TV streaming option, then I would still be able to get my cable TV stations, and I could drop cable TV service and save $110/month on my grossly expensive and ever growing $198/month bill (for cable TV, internet, and landline phone).  That turned out to be untrue, as I found once I got the Xumo box delivered to me and ready to go forward.  Nada, sucked in again, as no TV stations come with Flex/Zumo and what I learned later from a retention department person that can be bought for streaming (Now TV) is unsatisfactory and worthless to me.  On top of all this, if one looks through their website for options and features, and maybe a DIY approach to managing one's account features without using their agents, there is no information there on streaming alternatives (without cable TV service) by design or maybe it is cleverly buried somewhere and not to be found, because I looked.  So besides, their robotic and useless chat agent help, I also give their website the lowest rating possible.  Two times, after spending an hour with an online chat agent to go over the features and I make a decision, at the end, they tell me, "Oh, but I'm not authorized to remove your cable TV, and you have to go to a retention department person", and this is the person I wanted to talk to from the get-go!!  More time on the phone, ugh!  I'm retired now, but how in the world is someone with a job supposed to deal with this dung pile??  It used to be medium easy, and now Xfinity has made it a whole bunch of hoop jumping to get to a live retention department person, and these folks tend to be the most knowledgeable and helpful.  They also no longer offer loyalty discounts like they used to disgruntled long time customers. So I realize I don't want what their Flex/Zumo TV streaming package and go and return the Xumo box.  I walk into the Xfinity store (on Golf Road in Niles), and all the faces of the big crowd there said it all.  Like me, they had been tormented and tortured and exhausted and resigned to show up in person for whatever reason.  It was funny in a quite sad way!  To be clear and fair, the staff in this particular store were fine to me, so no issues with the staff on the equipment return. My internet has been out for over 24 hours. I scheduled a service appointment, confirmed my address and phone number, and the tech allegedly went to the wrong house. They then canceled my appointment claiming I wasn't home. I had been home from work an hour before my scheduled time slot. I talked to seven different reps who all gave me different information and different solutions, none of which they followed through on. I will be canceling Xfinity and going with another carrier. The customer service with Xfinity is terrible! Nobody knows what's going on. They just repeat the same things over and over. Everything is automated so it takes forever to talk to a real person and even attempt to get anything done. It's too much money for the lack of service. They were unwilling to rectify the problem and kept trying to get me to rearrange my schedule even more for them. I was supposed to finish work after my Internet was fixed but that didn't happen. Not to mention, as I was on my way home to wait for the service tech, I got a call from Xfinity's sales department trying to get me to buy more products and services! I told them I wasn't buying any more from them if the service I'm already paying for isn't working. For the record: The only reason I gave one star is because it won't let me leave that blank. read more

I'm so disappointed, frustrated and stressed out now. What should be a happy homecoming to my condo after 2 years of being displaced due to the neighbors unit catching on fire, I instead get to experience more stress and frustration from an internet setup which should have been very simple in easy and has now turned into an 8+ hour ordeal with the solution not even in sight. And what do you get when you spend 8+ hours troubleshooting? You get several different agents who you need to explain every detail of your situation to again and again. How many times did I get asked for a home address and phone number? how many times for the CMAC? I just love repeating myself for hours. What am I? A parrot?!?  On top of this, there was many moments of upselling different plans and services.  Just what I wanted. To hear about getting upgrades when I can't even have what I currently asked for to be working. So rude! Get the issue resolved first before you try to sell me anything new.  But that's a sales tactic I guess. And this is about the sale not the customer, clearly. As a result I now have a more expensive service that was supposively free or less cost than the prior because none of the agents know the meaning of disclosure.  You need to drag out the info and they still don't present it in a clear way.  They sugar coat and add colorful conversational language that they think make them look like they care. "while we are waiting, how's your day going?"  GIVE ME A BRAKE!  Then when you're troubleshooting proves to be a dead-end after several hours, its time to send a technician that the CUSTOMER gets to PAY FOR!!! Let's throw more fuel onto the fire.  In the meantime how do I get the time back that has been wasted?  At lease with a time share presentation you get a free vacation. And you go into it knowing how long it will take and other details upfront. Time to find another service provider that has common sense customer service protocol in place. I am over it!!! read more

She recently canceled her landlines with them, and her bill INCREASED! Explain that one. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason to the way they charge people. Writing this review just to save people the frustration. Do NOT get ANY service through this company. If you ever have an issue you will be transferred NONSTOP by people that live in another country, as it seems like no single person has the ability to make any changes on your account. I have literally spent hours this last week on the phone, on hold, chatting with their bots, speaking to a local rep, etc. just for something as simple as updating my address. They have created multiple accounts, can't delete them, moved my internet to one account and my phone to another, etc. etc. Also, you would think that you could update an address on their app or something...nope. If it wasn't for the fact that I have already put in the time, and unfortunately that it is the cheapest, I would just cancel everything and go to another company, but I don't have the time for that. My mom moved to a senior living residence apa that has Xfinity as part of her rent. My mom had Xfinity at the house she moved from. To date it has been 5 trips to an Xfinity store, hours on the phone and 2 trips by 2 different techs and her service is still not working properly. In fact she called the building technician to look at her TV and the said the equipment is installed incorrectly. There words to her were, "This the worst installation we've ever seen." there will need to be a 3rd visit and many more hours on the phone to get her tv service working correctly. If she didn't have to use Xfinity as part of her apartment contract we would switch to a different provider in less than a heartbeat. Received the 4k box. Would not connect. Multiple text to your ridiculous customer service, testing , testing, testing and nothing. I told them it was a bad new box. Said it was fine, two techs came out and spent 3 hours moving around boxes and adding new cable ends, which had nothing to do with my problem. Finally, it worked for a couple of hours. Called again, told them to bring a new box. New guy came and noticed NONE of the cable wires were screwed in tight, the ground wire was not connected properly, wires not attached back onto the siding, the antenna wire to the wall was barely connected and when he moved the new box, the picture got pixelated or went dark, which meant, IT WAS THE NEW BOX I SAID THE WAS BAD IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Second tech knew his stuff. New box and fixed all wiring. Now working great. 20 minutes, NOT THREE HOURS OF CUTTING WIRES AND LOOKING AT THEIR PHONES FOR INFO. P.S. Way overpriced for reruns and mind numbing programs. All the services are the same. Bad. read more

Update: I recently added basic cable to my service. Internet $40/month + TV $30/month. The first bill was $76 - correct with taxes. Then the next month it jumped to $103/month. I asked why and they said it is a broadcasting charge by ABC. The charge is not listed in the invoice and it was never disclosed to me. Invoices now state my internet is $86/month. Their math doesn't add up. I filed a complaint with the FTC, who contacted them, but they have offered no credit, and just keep repeating the same bs. I called today to get this resolved, and the rep actually had the nerve to try to upsell me on adding phone service. Xfinity needs to be investigated to the fullest. read more

I was told I would that my equipment had been shipped and would be delivered that evening (Tuesday), which wasn't the case at all. I wish I could give zero stars. Terribl 2 hours spent on the phone. Initial agent was terrible and just kept trying to sell me products like free i-pad - "you just have to pay the Internet". Also a product called Xumo that he could tell me nothing about. I struggled too understand anything he said. Lady from Retention was great but couldn't do anything to help me. After 23 years I am really considering leaving Comcast. Even by cutting my monthly package to shreds removing land line, removing HBO, reducing Internet speed, removing unlimited internet ect, the monthly savings were like $30. I was a customer for 10 years -- internet, landlines, cell. I closed my account in September and switched to TMobile. I thought i was done dealing with Xfinity and the AWFUL customer service and-billing ! But no. I just spent 45 minutes speaking to a rep about the credit balance that my October statement showed. Im still due another $20. The very polite rep put me on hold to check into it, then came back and asked me why I stopped my service. I tried to sum up all the horror stories -- trying to speak to a live agent. 2 hr calls, getting cut off, additional charges, incorrect info, actual lies I was told. After chatting she said they would let me know IF I'll get the $20 and "what my options are." I explained, in so many words, THIS IS WHY I LEFT XFINITY, FFS. She checked again and said I was charged a $20 termination fee after the last statement went out. I told her this is not right, itt needs to be escalated, the $20 needs to be refunded, etc. She said she will call me back 3 days. Ive heard that before too. After being loyal Xfinity customers since they took over our cable provider for years, once again our bill went up. It is an every year occurrence, so I call once a year to get it lowered. Today, I was told they have nothing to offer unless I want to give up some service, or let them provide our mobile service. Having read extensive reviews last year regarding their mobile service, that was a big fat No thanks. Since you can choose which channels you want, you are stuck with their package that includes things we don't want. Needless to say, we are disappointed that after all these years they will not do anything to help us. Such a blood sucking monopoly! I'm still having problems with their service. They sent "technicians" out yesterday, 11/15/24. They didn't understand my problem and kept saying that they had to leave. Eventually they left without helping me. I've had their service since 2014. This is the first time this problem. I pay a lot of money, monthly, for this service. And, I have nothing new to watch. Cable often drops for no apparent reason then it is impossible to talk to a human. Robots tell Me to reboot my cable box over and over again. Then there is the remote. So I went grocery shopping without my phone while it was charging. I missed a call at 5:47pm and I tried to call back at 6:01pm, but the system refused to get me to a live agent. I can't speak to a live agent to get answers they were looking into for me in regards to a property I will be moving to. I hate the customer service with Xfinity. I went on line and used their chat service to trouble shot a line connection. Through the xfinity assistant my appoint was scheduled for tomorrow. I received a text telling my appoint for two days later is confirmed. I cannot make two days later and need mt cable fixed asap. I went back to the chat assistant the BOT/AI agent was like a bull dog not letting me get to a live agent. It had no idea what it was doing. For the money I pay for cable and WiFi, I should have direct access. I think it is time to cut the cable and get YouTube TV or another service that function if WiFi. The worst Internet provider - customer service is a joke. It is near impossible to talk to a live person. Once you get someone, any service they provide comes with a fee. If your service is turned off because of an error on their part there is a $12 reconnect fee. They don't tell you that either. You have to discover it on their end. The app is ridiculous - hard to navigate and buttons/menus do not take you where you need to go. If Xfinity wasn't my only option in my area, I would have discontinued my service. I am disheartened and disappointed that I was lied to by an xfinity assistant chat representative and then the next day the complete opposite happens. I have been an xfinity customer for over 6 years now since I got my own apartment and have never paid late. I was told by one representative that he would help and I was okay the. The next day the supervisor tells me the company had an audit and that all previous agreements were void. That is terrible way to do business with someone who has had service that long. I have had to dump a ton of money into funeral expenses and car repairs and was told my payment arrangement would be good to extended an additional 4 days!!!! In response to the request for my feedback after attempting to cancel my Xfinity basic wifi service. "My feedback? - Very poor. Every interaction with Xfinity customer support (& even just navigating the site or software) over the last 5-6 years has been unpleasant- sometimes infuriating, often convoluted, & always overcomplicated. The initial wifi only (studio apt.) install was botched- the first employees sent were comically inept and unbothered/SO unhurried. It ultimately took FOUR technicians, 3 visits, and nearly 2 full business days at my building to install basic wifi. The first duo of guys were somehow both stumped & defeated by the outlet?? They clocked out at 5pm, leaving the still mysteriously non functional router offline and (so I learned from the next Xfinity guy) incorrectly installed to my wall. They slid out without communicating the status/problem/next steps to me leaving me clueless. I'm pretty chill but if we're being honest the actual hands on equipment time spent in my unit by the crew was maybe 3.5 hours or less. I can handle tedious and inexperienced but it's reprehensible that I then had to A) call to reschedule B) wait for Xfinitys next available appointment, C) AND PAY FULL 'PROFESSIONAL ON SITE INSTALLATION SERVICE' PRICE THREE TIMES for your team to uninstall, remedy their mistakes, and redo their wiring 2/3 times. This experience alone warranted terminating service with you if that would have been a viable option. PLUS all the aggressive upselling, deceitful plan policies and price increases, underhanded fees, nonexistent management, etc. My partner and i both dreaded any interaction with the teenage store employees & pointless remote call center folks. Finally, this clearly intentional runaround you impose on clients in good standing-- 0 transparency- no helpful instruction or how-to guide online- nothing made easily accessible -no streamlined self service options (available on every other reputable service providers platform) is making what should be a straightforward account cancellation a time-consuming tedious ordeal. Seriously, what is it actually gonna take just to turn my wifi off? Ive already completely vacated the apartment and been billed for a month of service no one's using. I've moved WAY out of the service area due to sudden unforeseen family obligations. I've been a contract abiding paying client whose full bill has been paid in total and on time every month. Don't punish me with another sales pitch for a phone line or tv upgrade! Unfortunately, it appears that Xfinity isn't going to make this easy and will likely find yet another underhanded fee in the fine print somewhere to bill me despite physically being on the opposite side of the country.
