These guys are seriously awesome! If you are looking for movers in Boston- go with them. They moved us into our new place yesterday and it was as smooth as a move can go. On time, professional and efficient.They were masterminds at getting everything into the truck quickly and efficiently and making sure everything was secure- they are artists or puzzle whizzes or maybe they played a lot of Tetris, truly amazing. Sven drove the rental truck from our storage unit to the new apartment which was great- such a stress reducer not to have to worry about driving that beast around Boston. Now, I am not the best at judging how long something will take or how big of a truck we would need (luckily the truck was perfect) or how heavy a box I am packing is (sorry, guys!!)....so we booked them for 3 hours, I figured hey we don't have that much stuff and it only took us about an 1 hour 45 minutes to get everything into the storage unit ourselves... Wonderfully, it took them 1 hour 15 minutes to load the truck-so I was thinking- hey, right on track. BUT I totally didn't realize that although our new apartment building has a loading dock, the freight elevator is at least 200 feet away. When our 3 hours was up they definitely could have just peaced out, which we would have understood because it was our fault for not booking the proper amount of time. But, Sven asked if we would like them to stay and finish the job (cash only if this happens to you, just FYI) which we absolutely did so they stayed an extra almost 2 hours to complete moving everything in. **The extra time it took over what we booked is in no way because of lack of effort or efficiency on their part - it was completely our noob optimism and general lack of understanding of space, time and physics*** If we had attempted this move on our own, we would probably still be at it. Also- if you are the person(s) who had an appointment after us and they were late (not sure what time you booked) - it was not their fault! It was because my boyfriend and I are bozos! First things first, these guys are amazing! I rent a U-haul truck and had X-movers help us moving. We got 2 beds and several shelves and plenty of heavy boxes. They help us with both loading and unloading the truck. First, loading/uploading. I would say that they are absolutely very professional movers and know what they should take care of to secure the furniture's safety. Nothing was broken through this moving and they use blankets everywhere to make sure the furniture won't scratch. Second, packaging is what they are really good at. They help us settle the limit space of the truck wisely. The best thing is they are really good packers and use only one rope to make every furniture stick to the wall. Finally, i would say that they are very intelligent and strong movers. When we arrives my new apartment, the elevator was not allowed to use (because of my management group!). They move all heavy stuffs like beds (all queen size), and very long mirrors through a very narrow stairs successfully. Last thing to say, they never give up trying. They are not the movers who tell you that they cannot do it even without a try. They are strong, very smart, and fantastic movers! Highly recommend to you guys! read more

Moving is very stressful and there are so many things that can go wrong, but if you hire X Movers, I promise you that you can relax because they are INCREDIBLE. Sven and Nash arrived right on time and ready to work. Within minutes of their arrival and watching them carry an extremely heavy dresser down the steps without destroying the walls or the dresser, I knew that I didn't have to worry about the rest of the day. They were amazing: extremely professional, friendly, systematic, careful with our belongings, and beyond efficient (barely took even a water break during the four hour move). Based on his talent loading the truck, Sven could easily win the Tetris World Championship. A lesser mover would have needed to make two trips, but Sven expertly arranged the truck and made everything fit perfectly. When we arrived at our new apartment, our couch didn't fit in the elevator. Sven and Nash didn't hesitate or complain for a second before carrying it up 11 flights of stairs. That's above and beyond in my book! The entire move was a breeze thanks to Sven and Nash. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. And this is coming from someone who has moved over nine times in my lifetime. Sven and his moving crew (Milan and Nash) provided an overall excellent experience (and I have had some dreadful experiences in my previous moves). To start off, I had accidentally reserved the wrong day for my moving day with X Movers, and after contacting Sven, he quickly made arrangements to match my ideal timeline. The schedule was corrected in a matter of an hour and it greatly saved me the rest of the day. Milan and Nash arrived on-time and ready to work. They were very quick, efficient, and worked non-stop to unload a fully loaded (practically pressing against the roll up door) 20-foot Uhaul truck in about 2.5 hours. Wow. They spent the remaining time to help my family organize some of the boxes and re-load the truck with items slated for our storage unit. When the time comes to move again, my family and I will certainly contact Sven and his team. Love, love, love these guys! After a horrific experience with movers in Pittsburgh, these guys were so incredible. Due to the other company's ineptitude, we were arriving in Somerville just a half hour before X Movers were scheduled to arrive. When Sven called to say he was at the new place to get an early start, I was still at the road, and was worried this was going to be a problem. He said not to worry and they would be waiting for me when I arrived. No stress. No charge. Sven and the other fellow who showed up were calm, helped us park the giant-a** truck in front of our new place, and unloaded our stuff quickly, carefully, and efficiently. They paid attention to little things, and suggested the best way to put the large furniture into the living room so that it would take up the least space while we sorted boxes. They were patient even when I hesitated in deciding where something should go. And even though they said they do 4+ moves a day, they didn't rush us or treat our stuff poorly. I absolutely recommend them, and plan on using them when we haul some other items next month. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using XMovers for help with moving. I was looking for a cost-effective way to move and turns out that renting and driving a U-Haul and getting help with loading and unloading is the way to go. I have a left a full review below - I booked XMovers after seeing excellent reviews on U-Haul and they really came through. I booked them for two hours each for loading and unloading on consecutive days. Sven and his colleague Moses were communicative, on time, polite, and efficient. During loading, Sven asked me to buy rope to secure the furniture (which I had forgotten) and I am really happy that he didn't hesitate to say that to me. All the stuff remained in place during the move. During unloading, they finished the job ahead of time and asked us if they could help with moving anything else or help with any other job. We were exhausted after the move and asked if they would help with setting up our IKEA bed. They happily obliged and set up the bed for us. read more

I've moved 3 times in Boston in the past 3 years, and I've never had a better experience than with Sven and his team at X Movers. They were professional, efficient, friendly, and all around AWESOME! You can't go wrong with these guys. In the days leading up to the move, the team was very knowledgeable and professional while quickly responding to any of my email / phone inquiries. They arrived on time the day of the move, and quickly loaded and unloaded 2 trips of furniture / belongings. They were incredibly mindful while loading and unloading, ensuring no wall or furniture damage was caused. Unbelievable.This is my second time using these guys. I had my house move scheduled for Saturday 17th December 2016 and I was flying out for vacation on that Saturday night. Unfortunately in Boston we got what seemed like close to 6" inches of snow. I had the truck booked and had got a new tenant for my old place so I had no choice but to proceed. Despite the snow, Sven and colleague arrived before the start time of 8.30. The two guys worked diligently to load up the truck in the bad conditions. We then drove to my new place and unloaded the stuff. The snow put me under serious time pressure but the two guys made what could have been a very stressful situation a lot easier. They were flexible and worked quickly to ensure we got everything unloaded and setup quickly so I could get to the airport on time. Definitely the best movers I have ever used. X Movers was fantastic! I called them only three days in advance in a panic and they immediately set up a time and location to meet us and unload our massive moving truck at my convenience. I was given a quote on the phone and that was exactly the amount I was asked for at the end of the move. No cheating or skimming here. Not only were Sven and Georgio very friendly but they were incredibly organized and on time. They studied our items to be moved and managed to move everything not only in less than two hours, but safely and without damage to anything. When everything had been moved, where we directed it all be put and shifted they stayed to make sure nothing needed to be moved, installed, or rearranged. I was extremely stressed about moving into Brighton but these guys made it a breeze. I can't imagine our move having gone any easier. I'll definitely be calling these guys again if I move. read more

Moving is such a stressful experience so I was pleasantly surprised when Sven and his team showed up and proved that moving doesn't have to be such a daunting task. The highlights: they were professional, they were fast, they didn't damage anything, they were polite, and they were the most reasonably priced for the service they offered. We had an excellent experience with X movers. We hired two people to unload a two-bedroom apartment from a jam packed U-Haul. The movers called about 20-30 minutes before arriving, arrived right on time, and were very polite. They carefully accessed everything they were moving to make sure they weren't going to damage anything, and although we were worried it might take them longer than the two hours we paid for, they finished the job in an hour and 45 mins and helped us move furniture around the apartment. These guys are fantastic! I called them two days before my move to Boston and they were able to squeeze me into their busy schedule. I could not have been more pleased with their services. Sven and Ross were so nice and treated my belongings as if they were their own. I was amazed how efficiently and carefully they were able to unload the moving truck. They went above and beyond to make my move go as smoothly as possible. They assembled my bed for me and made sure that all of the furniture was where we wanted. My husband and I moved out of our completely filled 2 bedroom apartment this weekend. We wanted to hire movers to get us out of the apartment and into a large U-Haul truck for a long drive. We hired 2 guys to come from 9 - 12. They showed up at 8:50 ready to roll! I literally don't know what we would have done without them. Our friend called at 9:30 to see if he could come help with things and we called him off because these guys were working faster than we were finishing packing. Not only were they efficient and quick, but they were careful. They would only call us down to the truck to ensure we knew where the fragile items were being placed. Very nice guys too. Fabulous experience from start to finish. Sven was very responsive and flexible when scheduling. They showed up right on time both days and got right to work, always asking what they can lift and how they can help. Had two men help for two days and every worker was great. They had experience with IKEA furniture and were able to take apart two beds and put them back together the next day in under 10 minutes. U-haul messed up and gave us a 10 foot truck instead of a 15 foot, which we were afraid meant we had to take two trips. But they packed the truck extremely well we just barley made everything fit. I know cash only day of seems a bit annoying, but would 100% use them again and recommend them to anyone else. read more

These guys are awesome. Sven called about 15 minutes before he arrived and both he and his other worker were here exactly at the scheduled time. They emptied a completely packed- floor to celling, 16 foot rental truck in an hour and forty-five minutes. This included 2 heavy couches and 3 beds along with other furniture and super heavy boxes: up to a third floor apartment! They were able to maneuver large pieces of furniture up a spiral stairwell with ease. Both Sven and his other worker were very friendly and offered to help us with anything else for the last 15 minutes they were on the clock. Could not have moved from Boston without these guys!!!! Absolutely recommend. I don't know how they did it, but they managed to fit all my stuff in the UHaul with room to spare. They arrived early and started moving stuff right away. Very considerate guys, who took all my stuff whether it was boxed or just bagged in trash bags and got it in the truck. 400 miles later and nothing was damaged or broken. They were so polite, and always checked whether a box was ready to go before loading it. All-in-all, a hardworking team of guys who know that they're moving someone's possessions, not just loading boxes. If I were moving, I would absolutely call X Movers again. read more

I would recommend X movers to everyone. I realized that I need movers 5 days before my moving. I contacted a few moving companies and their quotes were way over my budget. I don't mind driving the truck but I am NOT good at heavy lifting. I called Sven and he was able to fit me it. He accommodated my schedule when I could not book uhaul at the scheduled time. Sven and another guy showed up on time and they moved fast! I was impressed when he folded my bed frame (I assembled it but I forgot completely). They definitely know their job and they do it fast. We finished moving in 1h 15 minutes. It was a positive experience and I will never move alone. read more
