We have nothing but great things to say about X movers. We were moving a short distance and didn't want to go all in on a truck, especially with in city roads. We made the choice to rent our own UHaul but knew we wouldn't be able to pack it efficiently, and decided to hire Sven and his moving partner. Our plan was to take the furniture and other big items in the uhaul and then move the smaller stuff ourselves. Sven emailed me immediately after booking to ask some logistical questions, and was as organized throughout the rest of the process. They showed up promptly at the organized time and had our furniture out of our 1 bedroom apartment in literally 45 minutes. They packed EVERY INCH of the Uhaul and managed to fit it all in one van trip (we were SURE it would need multiple trips). They even managed to fit in some of our smaller items to fill some space. We drove the van to our new place and they immediately unloaded everything and reassembled our couch and bed. The whole thing took LESS than 2 hours. We were so impressed and their prices were more than reasonable; we would absolutely hire them again!! read more

HIGHLY recommended! Sven and his moving partner (Ross, I think) made the stressful experience of moving so much less stressful. We booked them through UHAUL for help with loading and unloading our truck. After booking, I promptly got an email from Sven asking about our moving logistics (time, date, locations, elevator or no, etc.). We had two people for our 1BR apartment. We had moved smaller stuff already, so I'd suggest booking them for 3-4 hours for everything in a 1BR. Timeliness: they showed up right on time! We booked them for two hours and, even after they finished helping us unload the truck, Sven asked if there was anything else he could help us carry since we had a few more minutes in the two hour window. Professionalism: Once they showed up they had us prioritize the must load furniture. And they filled up our tiny 10' truck so efficiently. It was like a game of Tetris. They treated every furniture, box, and bag carefully, even though I'm sure they knew my furniture is mostly hand-me-down IKEA and Target furniture. They made sure they asked where each furniture went in our new place so we wouldn't have to reorganize anything. This was the best money spent on our move. I stood there and watched Sven and his team do the literal heavy lifting. They even rushed to help me after picking up a bag of pillows off the truck. I booked X Movers based on a positive recommendation from a friend. Could not have been more pleased! The first booking was a move from Back Bay-area to Charlestown and we were starting to run low on time. Sven offered to stay a little longer because it fit in their schedule but would be tight. Generous offer. However, they kicked it into high gear and finished up right on time. I was amazed. I then had them come back to move some heavy furniture items into my place in Charlestown. They called because they were able to come early and they again were very efficient and courteous. They then saw that I had extra boxes and furniture in the Uhaul trailer. They asked about it and I told them we were moving my sister-in-law into her place in Southie. They offered to help since they had finished early within the 2 hours I booked them. Such a generous offer and they did a great job in Southie too. They then were able to back my car with a Uhaul trailer out of the alley because I certainly wasn't able to do it! read more

These guys are NO JOKE. On the hottest day in Boston so far this summer, they were incredibly efficient and careful. Zero damage and they navigated moving all our stuff super skillfully. They were very respectful of time and were clearly not trying to gauge time just to make the job last longer. When the couch section wouldn't fit in the house, Sven problem solved and made it work in no time. He might be a magician. They packed the truck like the most insane Tetris game ever and put a ton of thought into how to do the job efficiently. Literally zero complaints about this whole experience. Highly recommended! The X Movers team were professional, very communicative, and efficient. You can't go wrong with them! They let me know they finished their previous job early and were able to come prior to my scheduled move time. My family planned on starting to pack the moving truck with light boxes before X Movers arrival but since they came early they were able to take care of everything! I only made a 2 hour reservation, when we got to ~20 minutes before the 2 hours were up, Sven told me of the timing and asked if he and Milan should continue (they were in the middle of unpacking at the new place). I said yes, that they should finish unpacking the truck. Again, I greatly appreciated the communication, especially since there was no pressure from Sven to continue or not. These guys were great! I learned of them through the U-Haul website since I'm not super familiar with the area I was moving to and they couldn't have made my move easier. They unpacked the truck (enough stuff for a 1 bedroom apt) in about 2 hours and even offered to help me set up all my new furniture, unwrapping mattresses, and folding blankets to return to U-Haul. I've never had such a great moving experience and should I ever need help again, they'll be the first guys I'll call! read more

I hired these movers to help me unload a uhaul that we drove from out of state. I was driving from Baltimore (and ended up taking a wrong turn) so my arrival time was a moving target. However, x movers was very easy to communicate with, and they arrived early to help secure a parking spot right aside for the uhaul! We hired Sven and Milan to move us around the corner within Cambridge. We were VERY pleased with their work and will most definitely be hiring them for our next move. To start the day, they were perfectly on time. They assessed the house and the boxes and then quickly started to work. They packed the truck very efficiently and moved incredibly quickly, especially considering it was a humid morning in June, and needed to move out/in with two staircases involved at each location. This team is wonderful! We needed some last minute help when my husband and I realized we wouldn't be able to move everything on our own (enough belongings for a 1 bedroom apartment) in our limited moving window. We thought they wouldn't be able to fit into our window because someone else had reserved it right before us, but in a true sign of excellent customer service - Sven called me back after the original group cancelled! The movers loaded a heavy sectional couch onto the truck in less than 10 minutes. They unpacked our 15 foot UHaul truck in just a little over an hour and helped us reassemble the couch. Fast, skilled moving labor. You hire your own truck and these guys will help you move all your belongings quickly and safely. You can book them thru U-Haul (where there are lots of other reviews) or just call them directly and you'll get Sven's cell phone. These guys were very efficient and packed a truck like I've never seen one packed before (and I've moved a lot). They'll drive the truck for you too, if you book that option. It was cheaper for us to rent our own truck and book these guys separately, plus we got more time than we would have with an all-in-one place. They moved us out of our 4th floor walk up with nary a complaint, unlike our last movers. They finished early, and then didn't charge us for the remaining time we'd reserved. Todd in particular was awesome, very friendly, hardworking and easy to deal with. I can't recommend them enough, I've used them twice and would use them again. read more

I had x movers come twice to help me move: once to unload the moving truck into basement storage, and a second time a few weeks later to bring everything upstairs to the apartment. They arrived exactly on time, and moved everything VERY QUICKLY. they require a 2 hr minimum but got each job done in less than 45 min. They are organized and very reasonably priced. read more

Wow, wow, wow!!! Working with X Movers Sven and Milan was the best part of our move. Moving is obviously stressful and time consuming, and just a royal pain. But X Movers made it a royal pleasure!!! Sven was incredibly responsive and very communicative. His fees are straight forward (no hidden costs or odd charges!). Sven and Milan were incredibly efficient with their time and I swear are Tetris Masters because they fit all of our stuff into 6 moving cubes, and if we would have done it we would have used 2 more cubes - talk about cost savings. Sven and Milan were also just really nice people. They were very kind, easy to be around, and absolutely trustworthy. Most recently, for the move-out, they were kind enough to work with me through several scheduling issues, as well as to help transfer belongings from a truck to a pod.
