Excellent brews and very gracious staff. Friendly and fun environment. The food was sub-par at best, but overall a decent experience. I had the veggie burger which did not come with the aoli that is promised, it also had one measly slice of tomato and a tiny shred of lettuce. The fries were underdone and ranch had no flavor. Let's just say Worthy has always had really good beer... But, Worthy had a pretty rough start and I think someone has actually taken the time to improve the service and food. The food menu has been revised and it is actually worth eating now. I have really enjoyed the last few meals here. You no longer have to pay extra for salad or fries. The prices have dropped on food all around. This is all a major plus! They have a happy hour now which is awesome! So many brew pubs can get away with no happy hour prices but it is almost necessary for Worthy. Worthy has burnt some bridges with customers and they have to win them back. I swore off this place. It took some serious convincing of an employee to get me to give it one more try. He promised they had changed their ways. I am so glad I decided to return to Worthy. The beer is amazing! The happy hour is amazing! As someone who doesn't forgive easily, trust me when I say they deserve a second chance. read more

I came for lunch during work, so unfortunately did not get a chance to try the beer. The food was reasonably priced and well prepared. Had the chili and a salad. The atmosphere is modern, airy and open. Service was top notch, very helpful and friendly. The outside patio looks like it is fantastic when the weather permits. Went in to Worthy for the first time today and couldn't be happier. The beer was great, the service was friendly and prompt. Now to the food... We started with the goat cheese dip and it was AMAZING!!! Went here 5-26-13. Will NOT go back. Service here is terrible. The staff seems more interested in having there own conversations and playing on cell phones than seating and greeting. The little girl with the attitude at the front couldn't even look at us when she told us how long our wait would be. She was more concerned with her conversation with another server over personal business. I decided to get a beer and went to the bar where, once again...I was ignored. Three different servers walked by me, looked directly at me, and didn't even say hello or ask if I had been helped. They would however chat to each other and stare out over the crowd. Finally after 10 minutes a guy walked by and asked if I needed help, then he flagged over one of the servers. All that effort to get a mediocre beer? One friend asked for a soda with no ice...they couldn't even get that right. I rejoined my friends. We gazed out at several empty tables....which btw were cleaned with the enthusiasm you get out of a 6 year old forced to earn an allowance...and were kept waiting to seat 6 until the "ladies" at the front finished their conversation. In fact when one of my lady friends went to ask if perhaps one of those were ours and ready, the snippet answered -without looking up-that she was "dealing with it"After a half hour wait looking at semi-clean empty tables we were seated in the back by the door. Everytime it was opened, the wind blew items on our table all over. Our server at the table was however nice and attentive. The food was so-so. The pizzas were undercooked and the pineapple was the cold and flavorless canned crud. The salmon chowder was excellent. However as we ate we watched more and more people arrive and receive the same "hurry up and wait" treatment from staff. Many empty seats, no one getting seated. We won'tbe going back. Worthy needs to give there staff training in customer service and improve the attitudes of the workers. There are too many other breweries with better food, beer, and especially service (Old Mill Brew Werks comes to mind) to put up with this over priced shabby treatment. Makes me wonder if the owner even reads this page to see that all his money put in a great looking place means nothing if your service is bad. read more

Wasn't thrilled with my experience. We showed up with 3 people, expecting another 3 to 4 people. We walked past shaded tables outdoor, and were seated in the hot sunshine. I asked about the table in the shade, and was told they weren't seating anyone there at the moment. They then seated the group behind us at the shaded table. I sat there for nearly 30 minutes without being waited on, while the staff waited on the tables to my right and left. Service can make or break an experience, and had I not been waiting for friends, I would have left. I gave it 3 stars for the beer, but the service was a lackluster 1. read more

Our favorite watering hole for sure....BUT, now that they have stopped allowing check in via the Yelp App AND you get there and are told it will be a 30 minute wait when there are a half dozen empty tables with no patrons it make me wonder if this will continue to be our go to place. Dear Ms Lydia J. of Worthy Brewing, Business Owner I've been to Worthy about 14 times. Never had a complaint; all was good, actually great. I like this place. Today, I had a serious problem. My bar server, R.......L, needs to be trained on how to communicate with customers, or be replaced. I ordered an "Oregon Taco Salad". When it arrived, i noticed that it didn't resemble any taco salad I have ever had (as a favorite of mine, I have probably had hundreds in my life). Imagine a taco salad, with no salsa but with Buttermilk dressing. Seriously, what Mexican taco has buttermilk dressing????? Imagine, a tablespoon of beans, a tiny portion of stringy, tasteless, spiceless, cold pork, and some puny, cold quesadilla with some cold yellow cheap tasteless cheese about 1/8th inch thick squished between a cold, uncooked, tasteless wheat tortilla cut into 4 tiny 2 inch quarters. So I did my best consuming about 1/3 before I threw in the towel. This gastrological disaster has no resemblance to a taco salad (as if it is some reference to a Mexican dish). My server asked me how I liked it. I told her it was not good, and that the product name was misleading. She proceeded to cop an attitude and then called me rude three times to my face because she didn't like my answer. I could see she was upset, so I asked politely to see the manager. R......L developed more attitude. When the manager arrived full of smiles, the Server pulled her aside and had a secret angry conversation right in front of me which was unpleasant to observe. Then the manager full of smiles, turned to me and had a civil conversation with me, and obviously took the position of the server, over me, the customer. Not nice. First time here, got a German beer which was very nice. Chili was also excellent. But I often change my mind of where I want to sit when going someplace new. Usually just pay my tab (if I need to, many places can track you no problem) and relocate. Place was at maybe 30% occupancy, plenty of room, but bartender wanted me to also check back with the hostess in addition to the tab. I explained that I'm not getting more food (had just finished), just wanted to finish my beer outside. But she gave some vague reason of why this was still a problem. I didn't feel like arguing. Its a personal preference when I eat out, but I feel in general, you shouldn't make the customer do more than is necessary. They are coming to you not just for the service, but the experience. They made it feel less like a welcoming brewery when they do stuff like this. Oh well... read more

Food and beer were good, service was behind. Food came out 10-15 min apart for a group of 8. We ordered appetizer only to find out it was out of stock when our food arrive. No apologies just said that they were out. Management needs to help because that is where this problem start. Need to set better priorities and get the wait staff up to par with the food and beer. Allison was our server and she was amazing!! We went here for our last night in Bend and since it is Friday it was pretty packed. The hostess was really sweet and got us seated as soon as she could. The food was reasonably priced and delicious! Allison made great recommendations, was very accomadating, nice, fun, knowledgeable and cool!! This place has a huge patio that is dog friendly. Food and atmosphere was great but I give the five stars due to our server! Also the cilantro whiskey cocktail is delicious! I come to Worthy every so often. I enjoy their beer and food. I love the goat cheese & marinara flatbread appetizer and their steelhead sandwich or Caesar salad. I wanted worthy to be my local watering hole so bad however after 6-7 attempts I just couldn't get over the horrible service. I was at the bar with three other people on an average night. After the first beer the bartender never came back and I had to ask for a food menu and second drink. When we finished our meal and wanted to cash out we had to again wave down a server and ask for our check which took about 30 min. This seems to be the general vib here as after 6-7 attempts it always ends up feeling like you are more of an inconvenience than a customer. I whole heartedly disagree with a 3.5 star overall rating on this place! Coming from Portland I wasn't expecting to be so overwhelmingly impressed with this brew pub- however the atmosphere, service, quality of food and beer exceeded my every expectation! My boyfriend and I enjoyed the beet salad, hot wings and halibut tacos! They were all top quality ingredients and deliciously prepared! It has been a long time since I've enjoyed such a quality and tastefully prepared meal at a brew pub! For beers I enjoyed the sampler- wit, IPA, imperial IPA, saison, imp red and stout- all were delicious, interesting and quality brews. My boyfriend enjoyed the red and the Kolsch which where also wonderful! Worthy will be my top choice brewery every time I'm in the Bend area! Excellent job team Worthy! read more

Worthy Brewing is a beautiful building complete with a home grown hops garden, bar, inside seating, and outdoor seating making a great atmosphere. The service was decent but not excellent, and my whole party was satisfied with their food. The pizzas are very unique. I got to try the Oregon pear and the Homegrown pizzas, both of which were good. Phenomenal place. Beautiful building with a gorgeous view. You MUST drink and eat here during daylight hours to enjoy one of the most brilliant views of Bend. Huge patio with ample seating. Lots of beers available, although their flagship IPA is what you're going to be after. Dining area can get quite packed during dinner rushes, but your table will still feel private. Later in the night quiets a bit more from what I've seen. Overall, a must see in Bend. read more

After a long day at Smith Rock we were in a mad hunt for a few brews, food and a good place to watch the Seahawks game. We found Worthy on Yelp and decided to check it out. The space is huge, open and had tons of seating. We we're seated by the tvs so we had a perfect view of the game. The HH pricing was pretty good and they had a selection of nachos, pizza, hummus, chicken tenders and other snacks. No complaints there! The food was ok, nothing mind blowing but it hit the spot. We wished that they had the volume up on the tv but we understood that it may disturb other patrons. Overall, not a bad spot! read more

I rented a private room and did a presentation here. The acoustics were fine for a presentation. The space was perfect for a group up to 40. We had a buffet style dinner. We had a bartender. Staff so wonderful and patient as I had a lot of last minute changes. Food delicious. There is an observatory and was so fun to see the stars. read more

I love a relaxed atmosphere, but tonight was a bit much. Pizza and salad at same time???? Our server seemed to be going through the motions. Very nice, end of dinner much more friendly!! Young servers seem to not take this serving business seriously. I've been in the business forever and it saddens me to see the lack of effort. I'm sure my server was the oldest and that's the late 30's early 40's. Every salt & pepper shaker around me empty as well. I was really excited to try Worthy, but the rude hostess ruined my whole experience here. We went for a birthday party and had a big group. A couple extra people showed up and the hostess made it known to us that this was the biggest hassle for her. She told us "this table won't seat 10 people, come up and see me when you want to figure this out". I then had a direct view of watching her talk badly and complain about our table and got to watch as the other hostesses looked over at our table to see who she was talking about. Our waitress however was very friendly and accommodating to our big party, but the rude hostess kind of put a damper on all of our experiences at Worthy. The food and the beer were good, but in my opinion not worth dealing with that hostess again or supporting a business that treats customers like that. read more
