Reached out to Woody's Pools on 5/13 to start pool service and agreed to the service plan and pricing the same day. After that, we heard nothing back to actually schedule service. I followed up again on 5/22, and after more delays, they finally texted on 5/26 saying they needed to inspect all of the equipment before starting. Unfortunately, after waiting nearly two weeks with little communication and no service, our pool turned green. If an inspection was required, that should have been communicated upfront instead of after weeks of waiting. We ended up going with another company because the process took far too long and communication was extremely poor. read more

"Woodys Pools" was used as a vendor by the Property Management company I rented from. WOODY, the owner of the company, yelled at me in the phone while driving in defense of dragging out the issues with the pool. The staff who come out and service the pools weekly are amazing. The owner, WOODY, is lacking in professionalism, courtesy, timeliness of repairs and demonstrated that clearly over the 6 years I interacted with him. We moved into a new house with a pool that had undersized, inefficient equipment. Mark came out and took a look at the equipment and system to give us a bid to change out the filter, pump, and sweep, and add a booster pump. While looking at the old equipment to give us an estimate, he showed us how to clean out the old system to make it run more efficiently until we installed a new system. His explanation was straightforward and comprehensible, and he didn't go into the weeds or bombard us with technical jargon. We received several other bids for the work and decided to go with Woody's. They were the most competitive bid and just by talking with Mark we got a sense that he would do the job well. Mark said that if we wanted to proceed it would take about 2 weeks to order the equipment and install it. His estimate was on the dot and the installation went smoothly. (Although Mark didn't install the equipment himself, the guys he sent did a great job.) We are outside of Woody's pool maintenance area, but if we were we would definitely use them for regular service. read more

I have seen at least three pool services: sac valley pool, a business owner based in vacaville, and few mom and pop pool stores that did a better job with explanation than you did and they did not lie. Also your suggestions of replacement filter was unwarranted and frivolous since I ask other vendors and professionals who looked at my VPD unit said there was no need at this time. For you to ripe me with unnecessary suggestions angered me hence my disagreement with you. I ask that you do not post any nasty comments like this since you lied. I also attached a photo of your pool leaving your equipment and not completing your job. your paper agreement says: "bottom and surfaces is cleaned." It is not in this picture. read more

Extremely professional and proficient at what they do. I have been a customer for 6 months.My previous service had the pool in complete imbalance and it took some time to correct the issues. Between Mark and Colby, I have a new Pentair pump part installed, clean filter cartridges and a reliable link established for pool solar to be turned on and inspected. My weekly maintenance is fantastic; they what your contract says they will do. Plus, they added a weekly work performance where they send you via email a photo of your pool and the chemical balance. My husband and I have never owned a pool before, so based on a recommendation from our realtor, who uses Woody's Pool Service for his own pool, we had Mark Woods perform an inspection of the pool at a property we ended up purchasing. His inspection was thorough and extremely helpful to us during our decision making process. After we purchased the home, we hired Woody's Pool Service to perform weekly maintenance on the pool. The old filter was inadequate for the size of the pool, so after discussing the problem with us, Mark ordered, delivered and installed a new filter and some other necessary items to get the pool functioning smoothly. We are extremely happy with both the repairs Mark made on our pool system and the weekly service. We also appreciate the time Mark has spent with us explaining how things work and answering all of our questions. He was also a great help when we encountered an electrical problem and the equipment was off for a few weeks.
