Back in April 2023 I received a pool start up service after having my pool re-plastered. They used a new (to them) procedure (Orenda process) for the start up. According to Bob, I was the first person he had used this procedure on. Now after all these months my pool new plastering still looks "not right". Let me say Prism pool and the plastering company (Chief Pool Plastering) did come out and look. But after having numerous other pool companies out to my house for other minor work, I felt inclined to write a review. We have received service from Prism for almost two years now. The quality is very well-done. Also, they do not try to scam you, which I highly value. We had some issues with leaking and also with the lights not working. Prism could easily have told us the issues, charged us for it, and been on its merry way. They, however, dove deeper into the issues and found that our pool is still under warranty and encouraged us to connect with our pool contractor. They did not need to do this and lost out on repair fees, but gained a loyal customer as a result. I highly recommend them. read more

He called me on a Wednesday and came out that Friday to clean the pool and give us a quote for monthly cleaning and was a fair amount lower than what we had previously been paying for subpar service. Family ran place. Pretty friendly, easy online bill pay. They are pretty easy to get a hold of on the phone. They bailed out a few times now with a dirty pool, and some filtering problems due to an old system. Highly recommend. They are more on the pricier end of things. read more

Asked for a quote and Bob was kind enough to give me a call saying he'd check his schedule and let me know when he would be available in the next couple of days to visit my property. About 4 days passed and I hadn't heard anything from him so I called him and he said he would go the following day. Still haven't heard anything from him since I last called. Prism is our 3rd pool cleaning service, and I couldn't recommend them more. The past two pool cleaning services weren't doing their jobs in comparison to how Erik operates. Took over our pool service in March (Our old pool person retired). Within 6 weeks the pool went from clear to murky green. Bob professed that he didn't understand why. He never actually tested the pool until that point in time. Finally had to get pool drained. The process for pool drainage was very unprofessional. Initially he stated he would drain pool to the yard! We have a raised foundation and had to be clear that that was unacceptable. Had to hound him constantly to get updates. During drainage process - very slow pump. Goal was to pump overnight and fill quickly the next day to avoid fiberglass pool being exposed to UV for more than a day. Bob warned that he didn't want the fiberglass exposed so he started pumping in the evening. Took 36 hours to pump out. He stated he didn't know why the pool was draining so slow. My husband unclogged the pump of debris and fixed the problem FOR HIM. My husband moved the pump around FOR HIM to get the water fully drained. Fiberglass pool was exposed to sun for almost 2 days due to delays. Very uncommunicative. Asked Bob several times to text or call when he arrived - everytime he acknowledged that he would do so. Every subsequent time he came by was still unannounced. He doesn't let you know the plan without direct questions. We had no idea when he would be by to condition the new pool water. We still have no idea why the pump is set to run continuously. Sloppy work. The filter was cleaned and put back into place - but he housing is leaking due to the pump clamp not being tightened down. Gate doors left open after he leaves. Pump tubing had a small leak during pool drainage - he thought it was fine even though it was right next to our foundation. I had to directly ask him to remove that segment of tubing. In summary - a very unprofessional, sloppy, uncommunicative service. Had to check everything after he did it. What's the point of paying for service when you have to still do it yourself? read more

Drained the pool since the Leslie's advice was all wrong and the chemistry was irreparable. Hired Bob, since that time, my pool has been just fine. He repairs things like the fitting that attaches the sweep to the pool side. Very responsive and available. read more

Unfortunately we got stuck with Prism pool cleaning after our pool guy retired. Pool was never sparkling clean, usually green. He could not figure out what to do. Received a bill from him one month for over 350.00. He apparently totally rebuilt our old vacuum with out our ok. All we did was ask him to fix the wheel that fell off and then received a bill for a total rebuild without any notice of doing so. I would have bought a new one. Way too much to repair a old vacuum. He should have talked to us first. Beware of Bob at Prism pools. read more

Bob took over our pool care in March 2017, and I realized for the first time in four years what the true color of the pool is supposed to be. He and his son did hours of extra work to pull apart and clean the filter and pump (I saw the whole project out on my lawn), and even replaced a couple of worn parts to get the system to baseline at no extra charge.
