Wow! My older pool filter unit was leaking from the exhaust outlet on the filter compartment. I was thinking a replacement of the entire filter system was in order. Called NPS to take a look, and had to set up an appointment. Nelson from NPS inspected the system and ran the filter. I was out of town at the moment, and he called me and gave me some great advice. He agreed it was old system, but wanted me to troubleshoot a couple of things before deciding to replace. Even though the replacement price seemed reasonable to me. I got home from vacation, followed Nelson's instructions. After removing the filters and testing the pressure without the filters, I decided to buy new filters myself and replace. Runs great! No replacement of the system needed. The trip to diagnose was free and didn't cost me a thing for NPS. They didn't try to sell me something I thought I needed. They were only interested in finding the cause of the issue and letting me know what should be done. I still have an older filter system, but it is running great. From start to finish Jeff was thorough. He promptly returned phone calls. He scheduled a visit and was on time. He assessed my needs and provided me options on pumps and heaters. He was meticulous with his work and clean up. He showed me how to operate both the pump and heater. I was impressed and said if I need other service I'd reach out again. Fast forward to this week when my pump decided to spring a leak. Almost looked pin size but water sprayed all over. I called Jeff on a weekend and he promptly replied. Within 48 hours he was here with a new filtration system as it was determined in our phone chat the unit was out of warranty and beyond repair. 25 years is a long filter life.
