For anyone looking to outdoor dine here - I can't recommend enough that you should order online instead of order there. They don't have servers to serve the outdoor tables so what you have to do is order everything at the bar like it's takeout. And when we stopped by on a Saturday evening, boy was it busy. I think I waited about 25 minutes in line at the bar just to order! After ordering, you get your beer right away and then are instructed to check back inside later to see if your food's ready. They totally surprised us when they brought it out to our table though! That was really appreciated. We ordered a flight ($13.95) and the beers were really fantastic. I loved how many fruity flavors they had on tap. We also ordered Loaded Tots with the German fixins and the Thai pork lettuce wraps. Both were delicious! I'm a big fan of the fact that they hand make their very own tots. Super crispy and delicious! I thought the sausage and sauerkraut went perfectly with them too. The Thai wraps were spicy and flavorful, but I only wish that the lettuce was a little larger because everything kept falling out. The inside of the restaurant was absolutely buzzing. Tons of seating in there. Definitely check this spot out, but be sure to follow my recommendations if you plan on dining outdoors! read more

Woody's has been around for a while. Willing to bet all the locals know of this place. Craft beer, good food and a central location make it a winner. The menu is perfect, it has changed over the years, with the favorites remaining and exciting new fair. Well last weeks Saint Patrick's special Bangers and Mash is a prime example. I was in love all over again. Keeping this one around would be my suggestion. The mashed potatoes were creamy with soft chunks of potato blended in. The brown gravy was dark, silky and delicious. I think the brats (2) were a beer brat, snappy casing and a surprise smoky bite. This paired with a dark pint was all I ever dreamed for! Came for lunch yesterday. They had a taco Tuesday special for $11.99. The chicken and pork tacos were the best. The beef didn't have as much flavor as the chicken and pork. So if youre coming from the bay to go north to visit shasta or crater lake i would stop here again. The burger was really juicy and well prepped, my only complaint is the onion ring was stringy because it was missing some batter before it was cooked. My girlfriend really enjoyed the fish tacos and has liked them ever since( i didnt think that was possible so thank you!) Valerie was very friendly and lovely, recommended great choices of beers. Food was on point. Medrare seems to be overcooked many places except at my home but here it was perfect with some bloody goodness. Burger Bleu cheese bacon awesome, soft pretzel bun. Fish and chips cooked hot and crispy with abundance of juicy ness inside. Tots their specialty and added toppings is a meal in itself. 4 tacos special, one each chipotle beef, verde pork, spicy cod, chicken. All meats seasoned well, pico de Gallo was refreshing, maybe there was squeeze of lime juice fresh. Sauce added more umami. Some tacos sat, and shell became soggy, but still delicious. Came with some friends for a late lunch around 2:30pm and this was what was open. I got the spicy California chicken sandwich with a side salad, and also tried some of my friend's tater tots. The tots were good, but definitely oily so couldn't eat too many. The sandwich was actually spicy (in a good way) but the chicken meat was a bit dry. Either way, I was famished and dying from the heat so the indoor seating with AC and a decent meal made me a happy gal. Also: A friend got the pineapple cider, and it was amazing (tried a sip). read more

Our server was wonderful! Very helpful, kind and patient. We ordered the wings , Mac and cheese, fish and chips and tater tots . Our food was hot and fresh. The only issue I had was my fish was rubbery and hard on two pieces . I would not order that again. The restrooms were clean and stocked. So my "MEAL" consisted of 3 fish sticks and 5 onion rings (*paid $1.50 extra for the Onion rings*) for $16.49 **Not worth the Money!!!** "Supposedly Beer battered" Tasted like Watered Dough. Do you like tater tots (that is a silly question, who doesn't?). These are not the dried-up little nuggets you had in your school cafeteria. No Sir (or Ma'am). These are crispy little orbs of tender potato, and this place does them several ways. I had them as the side for my Philly Cheesesteak, which was very good (and I have eaten at both Gino's and Pat's in South Philly, the widely accepted birthplace of this sandwich). My wife had a full plate of said tots with blue cheese and bacon, you know from the health food section of the menu. Just kidding, there is no health food section of the menu, but that is not why you would want to come here in the first place. A nice selection of craft beers to wash it all down and friendly service to boot. read more

Great beer! Would totally recommend the veggie burger and the pretzel with beer cheese. They are dog friendly. The only thing I was disappointed with was that I was told the dessert menu had beignets. But what I was given was hard min pretzels bites with sugar and cinnamon. read more

This restaurant is the gold standard for food quality ( hamburgers cooked perfectly!!) and portions ( seriously the biggest and tastiest cobb salad I've had at a restaurant). Its not fancy but the menu is perfect for families;burgers,salads,flatbread pizzas. Staff & service are fantastic. We came tonight and it wasnt too busy but even if we would have had to wait it would have been worth it. I'm surprised there is only one location in Redding , this restaurant would definitely do well in other northern CA towns! read more

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because our food was served in awkward paper to go boxes since we were sitting on the patio and the taco salad was hard to eat that way and fish was a tad soggy from the box. Took a girlfriend to Woody's since I bragged about it and was so disappointed and the quality of the food. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and my friend ordered onion rings on the side and fish and chips. The taste of the onion ring and the honey mustard was so bad neither one of us could really stomach it, her fish was so greasy. She had to pull the batter off just to eat the fish. We both agreed that whatever the oil was it was old tasting and my Philly cheesesteak I couldn't eat it at all. Both of us ended up in the ER room with a touch of food poisoning this morning, I do not recommend them and I will never go back again. The food was terrible. read more

Absolutely a waste of money....forget the lame server that couldn't bother to even keep our drinks reasonably full or tell us about the beer (not sure why she even asked if we'd been there before) or the fact that menu has no depth of choice. The food didn't deliver...my burger may as well been a blue cheese patty as that is all you taste. The mac n cheese had the flavor of stomach bile, as it was an obvious poor attempt at beer cheese. Im not going to go into the three other dishes we had as i don't want to waste time or bruise my thumbs. So ended with $130 bill for food I wouldn't feed my dog and walking out feeling like we got robbed. Funny thing is, we get in the car and their commercial comes on the radio......What is it with Redding restaurants? You don't deliver on the atmosphere, customer service, or food value that your advertising promises? So to all you folks searching for a good value AND good food.....Choose wisely young warriors or you too will be a victim of a Redding CA Dining Disaster. read more
