Found this place on Yelp. Omg, we ate dinner here twice in the 3 days we were visiting. This place was only 3 blocks from where we were staying. Both times there was a table for us right away. Cool vibe, clean bathroom, service rocks and amazing food. First night we had Heather as our server and 2nd time it was Lauren. Both were friendly and rocked as our server. Seriously we eat out a lot and they have been some of the best recently. Also the 1st night Val helped with some beer to go and a cool hat for my husband. Woody's food portions are huge. Each time the 4 of us split 2 meals since we were staying at a hotel and didn't want left overs. My daughter both times got their pasta mac and cheese. It came in a big bowl and 2 slices of garlic bread. She split it with my 87 year old mother who was quiet for at least 10 minutes eating away. My daughter loved it and that is why she got it both times. My hubby and I first split their nacho with chicken on it. It was enough food to feed both of us and fill us up. The nacho was so yummy. The 2nd time there we got the fish and chips and I wil say that it was just like we love it! We have been so and have been way disappointed regardless if the server says theirs is awesome. No it wasn't but Woody's is the right way to make fish and chips. We ended with their ice cream sandwich for dessert. It also was huge. All 4 of us split it. There was enough for all of us plus we were so full we left a bit behind, dang. Their beer selection was awesome. We had some great IPA's on draft. We will definitely come back if in town again. Amazing find in Redding!!! This place deserves every star! Our group had the Philly, the smokehouse burger, the taco's (on Tuesday) and the Asian salad. We also grabbed some wings for an appetizer and walked out with a $107 bill. The food was THE BEST WE'VE HAD this side of San Fran! (Haven't found something this good yet in Sacramento.) The burgers are UNBELIEVABLY good, and so is the beer Mac and cheese! The Philly was a family favorite, as we made my son share. You definitely want to check this place out! Great beer too! For anyone looking to outdoor dine here - I can't recommend enough that you should order online instead of order there. They don't have servers to serve the outdoor tables so what you have to do is order everything at the bar like it's takeout. And when we stopped by on a Saturday evening, boy was it busy. I think I waited about 25 minutes in line at the bar just to order! After ordering, you get your beer right away and then are instructed to check back inside later to see if your food's ready. They totally surprised us when they brought it out to our table though! That was really appreciated. We ordered a flight ($13.95) and the beers were really fantastic. I loved how many fruity flavors they had on tap. We also ordered Loaded Tots with the German fixins and the Thai pork lettuce wraps. Both were delicious! I'm a big fan of the fact that they hand make their very own tots. Super crispy and delicious! I thought the sausage and sauerkraut went perfectly with them too. The Thai wraps were spicy and flavorful, but I only wish that the lettuce was a little larger because everything kept falling out. The inside of the restaurant was absolutely buzzing. Tons of seating in there. Definitely check this spot out, but be sure to follow my recommendations if you plan on dining outdoors! read more

The restaurant's atmosphere was pretty nice even though it was very crowded. They also have done a good job with the decor and layout. I had their Asian Chicken Salad and it's probably one of the worst salads I've had in a long time. The chef had no idea how to cut lettuce or what part of the lettuce should be used. The chicken looked heavily seasoned but it was super bland and lacked flavor. There were only 5 baby tangerines and a splash of shaved almonds. It was $16 for mainly old lettuce. The waitress could see that I didn't enjoy the salad but instead of asking about it, she tossed us the check. It would have gone a long way for her to actually check in and even offer another item at least. Sadly, but a great experience. As for GF options, they do have GF marked on their menu but the fryer is shared so avoid anything fried like the tots and nachos, if you have a seriously GF allergy. read more

The service was fantastic. Unfortunately, nothing else was. I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak. The beer cheese sauce was too salty making the sandwich inedible. Without the sauce, it was bland. The "Thai Pork Lettuce Wraps" were just repurposed pulled pork with a mildly spicy sauce. It wasn't Thai inspired, and the pork was not seasoned to be consistent with Thai flavors. The pork was also not good. It looked like a cat coughed a hairball onto the lettuce and had the same texture. The ambiance is sort of low end gastro pub. I'd give this place a pass. My party thought the beer was good, so maybe stick with that. read more

Best. Nachos. In. Town. My GAWD. Make sure you get the ghost pepper cheese sauce on it!!! Not very spicy, but oh so flavorful. Prepare yourself to share because ain't NO WAY you're finishing that all by yourself. In fact, (6'1" woman over here) if you're a tall single man that thinks he CAN, ask me on a date and we can have a competition. Your treat! For real though the staff is always willing to please, working with you to get the best meal in front of you. Great about making any changes necessary for your sensitivities, eating plans, what have you (but for the love of God do not order the nachos and make changes because they're perfect in every way). Beers on tap are always excellent (though I will admit I love a good sour and their selections of those are lacking), the food options are GREAT (including an incredible Cajun pasta and some of the best fried pickles in town!!), and the vibe is a classic loud brewery experience. Came for lunch yesterday. They had a taco Tuesday special for $11.99. The chicken and pork tacos were the best. The beef didn't have as much flavor as the chicken and pork. The fish taco didn't have a lot of meat in the taco. The chicken and pork tacos are the best flavored and super soft meat. I'd highly recommend the tacos. read more

Just an overall really good experience! Tourists...just in town for one night...always on the prowl for breweries (especially with food). We were greeted right away, and when we explained it was our first time there the server was super nice! As I'm sure she is all the time, but it really helped being new to this particular place. The IPA was as good as any. The wings were awesome! The home-make tater-tots were pretty darn good too. Wife had a salad with gigantic prawns on it that she said was really good too! We drive down to L.A. from Seattle a couple times a year, first time spending the night in Redding, but. thanks to Woody's it won't be the last. read more

So if youre coming from the bay to go north to visit shasta or crater lake i would stop here again. The burger was really juicy and well prepped, my only complaint is the onion ring was stringy because it was missing some batter before it was cooked. My girlfriend really enjoyed the fish tacos and has liked them ever since( i didnt think that was possible so thank you!) Came with some friends for a late lunch around 2:30pm and this was what was open. I got the spicy California chicken sandwich with a side salad, and also tried some of my friend's tater tots. The tots were good, but definitely oily so couldn't eat too many. The sandwich was actually spicy (in a good way) but the chicken meat was a bit dry. Either way, I was famished and dying from the heat so the indoor seating with AC and a decent meal made me a happy gal. Woody's has been around for a while. Willing to bet all the locals know of this place. Craft beer, good food and a central location make it a winner. The menu is perfect, it has changed over the years, with the favorites remaining and exciting new fair. Well last weeks Saint Patrick's special Bangers and Mash is a prime example. I was in love all over again. Keeping this one around would be my suggestion. The mashed potatoes were creamy with soft chunks of potato blended in. The brown gravy was dark, silky and delicious. I think the brats (2) were a beer brat, snappy casing and a surprise smoky bite. This paired with a dark pint was all I ever dreamed for! Woodys Brewing Co. **NEVER AGAIN** I ordered Woody's Fish Chips and got 3 fish sticks and 5 onion rings and a small side of Cole slaw for $22.10 Where's the chips? I'm expecting French fries or potatoes wedges or something with the onion rings. Nope! So my "MEAL" consisted of 3 fish sticks and 5 onion rings (*paid $1.50 extra for the Onion rings*) for $16.49 **Not worth the Money!!!** "Supposedly Beer battered" Tasted like Watered Dough. Do you like tater tots (that is a silly question, who doesn't?). These are not the dried-up little nuggets you had in your school cafeteria. No Sir (or Ma'am). These are crispy little orbs of tender potato, and this place does them several ways. I had them as the side for my Philly Cheesesteak, which was very good (and I have eaten at both Gino's and Pat's in South Philly, the widely accepted birthplace of this sandwich). My wife had a full plate of said tots with blue cheese and bacon, you know from the health food section of the menu. Just kidding, there is no health food section of the menu, but that is not why you would want to come here in the first place. A nice selection of craft beers to wash it all down and friendly service to boot. read more

Great beer! Would totally recommend the veggie burger and the pretzel with beer cheese. They are dog friendly. The only thing I was disappointed with was that I was told the dessert menu had beignets. But what I was given was hard min pretzels bites with sugar and cinnamon. read more

This restaurant is the gold standard for food quality ( hamburgers cooked perfectly!!) and portions ( seriously the biggest and tastiest cobb salad I've had at a restaurant). Its not fancy but the menu is perfect for families;burgers,salads,flatbread pizzas. Staff & service are fantastic. We came tonight and it wasnt too busy but even if we would have had to wait it would have been worth it. I'm surprised there is only one location in Redding , this restaurant would definitely do well in other northern CA towns! read more
