I rate this place between 4 and 3 stars. Here's the 411. This is a brewery in an old creamy 2 blocks off the main drag. It's got funky retro vibes and it works for them. Order at the bar. Food was good homespun stuff but chips came in bags, Beer war good. Give this local place a try and let me know what you think

Absolutely loved this place! The building is seriously so cool. So much charm. The food was delicious and the drink options were great. Staff was friendly. They burnt our pizza the first time and had to remake it, but gave us a drink on the house to make up for the wait. That was appreciated! I wish this place wasn't so far from where I live or else I'd be a regular!!

    Cool delivery truck.

What a great place to stop after a round at the Univ of OB disc golf course. It's a three minute drive from the course. It's also just a minute or two from I-5. So, if you're passing thru, this is a very convenient and worthwhile stop. The location has a variety of indoor seating - bar, high tops, low tops, couches - in multiple rooms. If the weather is cooperating, there's shaded or sunny outdoor seating, corn hole, and a pet area. The service was very welcoming and friendly. We sampled a few beers before selecting a jalapeño amber, juicy blonde, and lager, along with a non-alcoholic root beer and ginger beer. All of the offerings were very good, and it was a good mix. The aroma of the jalapeño amber was wonderful, and it was very balanced. Next time I'll try the porter. So, we got comfortable and stayed for dinner. We had a Reuben with a generous portion of meat on great dark bread. We also had a brisket bratwurst and a vegan bratwurst. Everything was tasty and satisfying. Whether you're a local, temporarily in the area, or just passing through, this woman veteran-owned place is worth visiting. The nearby disc golf course was excellent, so the two combined are a can't miss stop. Thanks, Mt Shasta Brewing, for welcoming us in and taking such good care of us.

Stopped by this place for lunch on a weekday, and initially, we were a bit concerned when we found ourselves to be the only customers in the restaurant. However, our worries quickly dissipated as we ended up enjoying a good lunch experience. For starters, we ordered a pretzel with cheese, "The Works" brat, and the Cali Chick sandwich. The pretzel was absolutely delicious, and we loved the cheesy accompaniment. The brat, while good, would have been even better if it had been grilled to perfection. My friend, on the other hand, had nothing but praise for the Cali Chick sandwich, describing it as very tasty. To complement our meal, I decided to go with the Jalapeno Ale, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. The spicy kick of the ale paired wonderfully with the brat, enhancing the overall flavor. In summary, despite our initial concerns about being the only patrons, our lunch here exceeded our expectations. The standout items were the pretzel and the chicken sandwich, and the Jalapeno Ale added a flavorful dimension to the meal. I would certainly recommend this place and look forward to returning for another satisfying dining experience.

I love this brewery! The New owners are so personable and kind. This is by one of the coolest places in Weed! Great beer! and amazing service.

Cool vintage vibe. Movie showing. Game tables. Couches and comfy chairs all around.

It's a cool atmosphere and fantastic service! Do yourself a favor and order several pretzels for the table with mustard and beer cheese. Tasty snack while you decide what to eat. 3 of us had the Ruben, and they were thoroughly enjoyed! Great proportion of meat and sourkrout. I had the hot dog which was thick and juicy and served on a pretzel bun. Yum!

Came in here for lunch while on vacation and everything was great! I know I know. It's a brewery.... BUT,the hubby likes coors light and they have it on tap! So that was a bonus! The owners are super cool and told us all the history of the old dairy and that makes it special. I got the pork sliders(comes with 4) and was Amazing. I had them add jalapeños and it made it that much tastier! The jalapeno beer was so freaking good and they added a pickle! I'm a pickle fan so that was a top notch extra! The weather was poopy but they had the heaters going so that was delightful! He had the fancy Reuben that has chimichurri sauce. Parking lot is huge, bathrooms are cute with suitcase tables and very clean. You can tell they love what they do and they love this place and you HAVE to come here.

Legit beer and brewery vibes here! Like wow. Super friendly service too. While traveling to CA I stayed within walking distance to this brewery. So, of course I had to try it out. The west coast IPA was crisp, refreshing and not too hoppy. The sour called something about being naked and running around was also a yummy refreshing beverage. The five ounce pour was a speciality beer called Brett's Brew, I think, and was super interesting. It had a sweet aftertaste and the front taste notes were like drinking hay, if you bay were a drink. That's the only way I can think to describe it. All beers are made there. No guest beers. I rate them all 10/10!! Yahoo. Friendly service and cool vibes with nice music make for excellent ambiance. I know this review is repeating but...vacation brain does that too me. Cheers and happy yelping.

An absolute must stop on I-5 between California and Oregon. Easily one of the coolest breweries I've been to and the beer definitely doesn't disappoint. Great dog friendly spot, even have a pet area outside. Shuffleboard and a pool table indoors to enjoy as well. The food was great as well, we ordered their brat and it was delicious. Nice balance of spicy and a somewhat sweet bread and sausage. The beer flight was really enjoyable, not a single beer was bad. Their cider really hit the spot on the hot day, but even the dark beers were really pleasant in the heat. The jalapeno beer is great, its got the perfect burn to make you want to keep coming back for more. I wish they'd had the Hazy and the cider in bottles to take, but can't really complain. Great stop, great beer, great food.

Adult Grilled Cheese with onions I didn't ask for.

So, we stayed here in the parking lot with our RV as part of Harvest Hosts. From that standpoint, it's a great place to go off the highway. As a compromise to the free spot to stay overnight, you patronize the business. We went in for a late lunch/early dinner and sat in the sort of add-on space to the left when you walk in. It was pretty warm inside. There were ceiling fans going, but, they weren't quite enough. It took at least 10 min for a waitress to come talk to us and then another 10 min to get our drinks. We ordered the chips and salsa, grilled cheese, and flatbread pizza. The chips and salsa were actually pretty good. I like a chip that's crispy without being hard to crunch and the salsa was spicy but not too spicy and had a really good flavor. The flatbread wasn't good at all. It tasted like a freezer pizza. The cheese was like something over processed and the olives came from a can for sure. It just didn't have a great flavor to it. The grilled cheese comes with onions (so does the pizza we got) and we asked for no onions on both because I'm allergic. The pizza didn't have onions on it but the sandwich had an almost obscene amount of onions on it. I took it back to the waitress because we didn't see anyone for a while after it was dropped off. To their credit, I had another sandwich within about 6-7 min. And, it was a different sandwich - I'd taken a bit out of the first one. So, because of the uncomfortable seating, the service, and the inability to read instructions, we're not rating this very high. We do appreciate the parking spot, though, and gave it three stars for that.

Jalapeño ale to go in 22 oz bottles

Stopped here on northward drive in van for a Harvest Host overnight. Went inside for late lunch (2:30) and had a great visit. Cali Chick sandwich a beautiful concoction of chicken, bacon, pepper Jack cheese and tomato all on sourdough bread. Skipped the chips side and subbed a spinach and mushroom salad with blue cheese. Really satisfying salad. Paired it with a jalapeño ale which was best of this combo I've ever had. I've had some jalapeño IPA's in Texas and I think the hoppy notes blunt the jalapeño flavor because they came through beautifully in this ale. Just a little hear kick 10-15 seconds after you sip to remind you what you are drinking!! Nice. My bartender/server was really nice and welcoming. My only nit from 5 star visit is there are several signs on the door that dogs are not allowed inside, so I left my working dog outside while I dined. Halfway through my meal, 4 guys come in with their dog and no problem. Either dogs are allowed or they are not. I really don't like inconsistencies like this in customer communications. Great spot, love the inside and outside space. I'd stop here for a meal on my I-5 travels even if I wasn't doing a Harvest Host overnight here.

I am a tad arrogant, having access to the some of the best cuisine by living close to San Francisco. Now to be fair, their price point reflects what you see sitting on the plate before you. The service is polite. Ambiance is fun. I ran around in these train cars as a child while vacationing with family 30 years ago. My advice would be, go with what works. The previous owner had it going on, knew the territory so to speak. This place has "warning Will Robbinson" all over it, like sushi in Kansas. A tuckered out Fly Fisherman would prefer a great steak and baked potato. No shame in that, it is the pillar of American dining. If I want foo-foo, I will go to SFO. But then again, I think the food in Paris is "OK", (specifically their entrees) Paris has great bread, crackers and cheese. Alright, pastry, baguets, and fromage. All the offerings in Italy are amazing and the only thing to eat in the UK are chippies. The best "foo foo food" was Betlenut Pan-Asian on Union Street in San Francisco. Lost their lease however. THAT was the bom-d-idly. Hey if you want a fabulous steak, try Jacks in DT Redding. Great place, but you will wait an hour, maybe two. But it is worth the wait. Has an interesting provenance, the location and building itself, was a house of ill repute back in the FDR days, so the legend goes. Cafe Maddalena in Dunsmuir is excellent as well. This faux fusion/euro/cubano/too cool to be true... might make 2 years max. It is the epitome of "The fastest way to make a small fortune, out of a large fortune is to start a restaurant." Inherited money, I can smell it burning in the kitchen.
