Large portions at a reasonable price. The noodles have a nice spingy texture and the wontons and soup are seasoned well. The wontons are larger than other places and have a lot of shrimp in them. The place is relatively small but service is very quick and efficient.

You just can't go wrong with a tasty bowl of wonton soup, and we'd heard that Wonton Hut serves one of the better versions in the city, so we decided to pop by on a recent Sunday. I decided to get the Signature Shrimp & Pork Wonton Noodle Soup, and I got the regular size with thin noodles. The soup arrived minutes later and it is indeed delicious. It was too hot to immediately eat but it was worth the wait. The broth is very flavorful, especially with the addition of the chili oil on the table, and the wontons are among the best I've ever had. The service wasn't great, though. Our water was refilled only once, after we'd finished eating, and I was pretty thirsty throughout the meal. We also shared the Vegetable Spring Rolls and they were delicious. I'm intrigued by some of the other offerings on their menu, so I'm sure I'll return soon enough. It'll be hard to resist that soup, though.

Eddie (chef) does some amazing things right. First time customer here, I was eager to try classic shrimp wonton soup with mei fun noodles. This was as good as anything I had in Hong Kong !! I said this right to the chef . Just excellent execution and great dedication to classic HK flavors. The brisket noodle soup was also great with loads of soft beefy chunks

Tasty broth that's not too salty, the dumplings were the highlight! So much filling and the skin is nice & thin, yet it manages to hold all that filling - SO GOOD! Quick service & relaxing ambiance, perfect for a nice hot bowl of noodles!

The cozy nook of a restaurant sits on a busy street, but all that goes away when you step inside. I ordered a piping hot bowl of wonton soup that was the best noodle dish I've had this year. I spiced my soup with the homemade pepper sauce available at the table. It's not for the faint of heart though, so douse with caution. The wonton were bursting with flavor. The broth, delicate and packed with umami that can rarely be achieved. You get the feeling the chef has been working on m the recipe for years. They don't skimp on the filling in the wontons. They are loaded with chunks of shrimp. About an 80/20 shrimp to pork ratio. The noodles did a great job of absorbing the broth and pepper, but they were more of an added bonus.

We ordered the wonton soup and their version of bun bo hue. The wonton soup had 4 large wontons, which were huge and filled with delicious shrimp. It pairs so well with the red vinegar and chilli oil offered on the side. The noodles were perfect. I found the broth to be rich and flavourful, without tasting overly salty or greasy. The bun bo hue remake was delicious and had a lot of beef. We got the regular spicy and it's SPICY. You have been warned. Would go for mild if spice is not your thing. It was tasty and painful at the same time. The beef balls were the perfect consistency.

What a gem of a place I can't believe I didn't try sooner. I tried the laksa cuttlefish fish ball ramen & it was deliciously savoury. Cuttlefish in general has a more chewy & thicker texture than other fish balls. The tofu was light and airy. The spicy salty broth was balanced by the coconut milk. The shrimp paste in the broth gave it more dimension. My partner got the beef brisket with extra shrimp wontons. Beef brisket was tender, flavourful & melt in your mouth. The shrimp wonton was huge and packed with shrimp. Great value. Would come back again!

Wonton Hut, located on Queen St. W. near Bathurst, specializes in noodle soups, with their signature being the wonton noodle soup. They also have beef brisket, fish balls, as well as a laksa soup base as well. You have the choice between thin and round noodles. This is their second location, first one being in Markham. The small eatery has seating for about 18 customers and is open for both lunch and dinner. They also accept cash and credit as well. Pricing wise, a bit more pricey than what you would fine I dropped by Wonton Hut for lunch on Thurs around 12:30pm. I was probably their first customer of the day but there were a few other customers who came in after I did. I opted for the combo where I got the wonton noodle soup (thin noodle) with a HK milk tea. The food and my drink came at a reasonable time. The HK milk tea wasn't strong enough for me in terms of tea flavor. The wonton noodle soup was great though, noodles had a nice chew and the 4 wontons had lots of plump shrimp. The chili oil is a definite must try! It's pretty spice but not the spiciest I've had. Delicious on the noodles as well as on the wontons. Service was friendly, catered towards the downtown crowd. Overall, great spot for wonton noodles! Definitely on the pricier side as you can get a bowl of wonton noodles for cheaper in Scarborough. However, if you have a craving for wonton noodles on Queen St. W. this is the place to go.

A rare 5 star experience for the food alone. When I asked how they are able to offer such high quality wontons, they say that this is their second location and their original popular location is in Markham. I often day dream about my last bowl of wontons at Wontons Hut. A must try and don't forget to add the noodles!

I was craving wonton noodle soup for so long and I finally found a good place downtown that's not in Chinatown! A relatively small place but we were seated right away, wontons were huge and full and the noodles were great! They have a few variations of noodle soups and side dishes, would definitely be back to try the others!

The wonton noodle soup here is perfect. I was able to add a couple traditional dumplings to my order so I could compare. I appreciate the snack sized option as a petite person who hardly if ever is able to eat an entire meal in one sitting. The ambiance inside was peaceful and they were able to accommodate a larger group if you called ahead. The lady who served me was very kind and I would happily return to try some more of the menu if I were here in Toronto longer.

Large and fresh shrimp used to make the wontons. Soup base is a little salty for me. Service was attentive. Location is away from Chinatown.

There's no better place to get wonton noodles in downtown Toronto. I've travelled to Hong Kong, and this spot feels just like back there. You can really taste the fish flavour in the broth. The wontons are massive and definitely worth the price. The staff here are friendly as well. It had calming atmosphere. Great for casual conversations.

We tried several of their noodle soups, and each one had its own charm. The house special noodles came loaded with toppings like beef tendon, brisket, wontons, offal, and squid balls, so every bite felt hearty and satisfying. The broth was especially comforting with the noodles. The wonton noodles were a little lighter, but still very good. The shrimp wontons were huge, with a nice crisp bite to the shrimp, and the whole bowl felt especially soothing after a late night. The offal noodles were also impressive, with a very generous portion of offal and a fragrant touch of garlic oil that brought everything together. The four-ball noodle soup is a great choice if you are not sure what to order, since you get to try fish balls, squid balls, beef tendon balls, and sliced fish all in one bowl. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the fried dumplings. They were crispy on the outside, tender and juicy inside, and soaked up that savory house sauce so well. Easily some of the best fried dumplings I've had. We also tried the chives and pork blood, which is a must-order for anyone who enjoys pork blood dishes. There was no unpleasant smell at all, and the seasoning with chives was just right. To drink, the iced lemon tea and lemonade were simple but refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. Overall, this is a place I would gladly come back to when I want something filling, flavorful, and affordable.

There were so many dishes I started losing track. LOL. I also don't know all the names of the dishes as I didn't see the menu. One of the dishes was a fried lobster. They showed the lobster to us (poor lobster) before cooking it. The lobster tasted really good but I'm not used to handling lobster in its shell. LOL. There was a pumpkin soup which I couldn't eat since it had dairy in it. Another dish was a Peking duck with rice paper wraps, cucumber & green onions. This was my favourite dish. Delicious, yummy & simple to eat. Another dish was chicken (I didn't taste that one). We also had a fried rice which was so yummy. Then there was a dish with scallops, oysters, pork & seaweed surrounding it. I tried the scallops & they were delicious. There was another duck dish but this time the duck was chopped into little pieces with some Dessert was a yogurt / jelly type of thing which I can't eat due to my dairy intolerance. Service was really great. I'm not sure if that's because I was at a table full of Chinese people though. LOL. The dishes came quickly & they just kept coming! We had tiny plates to eat from so after the lobster we got clean plates. For the fried rice we had the servers separate it into bowls for everyone. Since we couldn't finish all the food we had them wrap up the leftovers & we took it back with us. Myself & another co-worker split up the leftovers between us since no one else wanted it. Ambiance: The restaurant had some nice lunar new year decorations up. It was pretty. Located inside the Atrium on the Bay this is an easy location to get to. The location was the site of a former restaurant called Spring Rolls. It still looks the same the only thing that changed were the tables & chairs. The washrooms are downstairs in the lowest level of the restaurant. It was hard for me to get down there because my knees are really stiff & painful. It would've been nice if they had a handicap washroom on the main level. The food was delicious & service was attentive. I thought the special lunar new year meal we chose was too much food for six people. I would've been happy with dim sum. Also the washrooms being in the basement was an inconvenience for me. Those who are mobility challenged will have the same issue.

When it came, I was shocked, it was only 6 pieces of Roasted Pig. When I spoke with the manager about the portion size, he commented "for that price it is fair". There was not apologies and walked away, nor was it written on the menu. If I had known it was only 6 pieces (size of your index and middle finger put together). I would not have ordered it. If you want to have Roasted Pig, you can get better deals else where. Also, ordered Marinated Chicken Feet for $13.98, when it came to table, it was also a disappointment, part of the chicken feet was dark in colour, not even sure if it was even edible or not. Another dim sum dish that I have order was the steamed chicken with fish maw. The chicken was okay, but there was only two small pieces of fish maw, (the size of each piece was 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I've never been a huge fan of this dish that's served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it's the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn't skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the "main dishes", the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.
