Our advance reservations ensured a prompt seating, and the chic, minimalistic decor was a feast for the eyes. The atmosphere was serene, making it an ideal spot to unwind. We took advantage of the happy hour specials, indulging in a variety of appetizers and drinks. I savored the blackberry margarita, which perfectly balanced sweet and tangy flavors. My friends enjoyed their choices, including the love potion and Mai tai. The appetizers, including mango salad and crispy rolls, were not only visually appealing but also expertly prepared. For my main course, I opted for the caramelized eggplant, which was a true flavor explosion! Despite the bustle of the Saturday evening crowd, the wait staff remained attentive and courteous. My experience at Chay Concept was outstanding, and I look forward to returning to sample more of their culinary delights.

I ordered the mango mocktail and the banana curry, and both were delicious. The curry especially stood out. Rice isn't included by default, but there are plenty of carb options--you can add noodles on the side if you're not in the mood for rice. Portions are very generous, so come hungry. One slightly odd thing: they had space heaters running indoors. The overall temperature was comfortable, but the person sitting right in front of one was definitely feeling the heat. Service was very attentive and friendly, though not the fastest--dishes didn't all come out at once. It looked like there were only one or two people in the kitchen, so it's understandable. Overall, if you're vegan/vegetarian--or dining with a group that has dietary restrictions--and you're in Bellevue, this place is worth checking out.

I had the tom yum soup - 4 stars Not too spicy, they weigh she commented on the four stars made me think I'd regret it but I'm glad I went with four stars for spice and perhaps next time I'd even go to five star spicy. ($17) Old town Bellevue off Main has street parking and a parking garage. However, the area is very popular so parking can be challenging. Service was fantastic. When we came in, they acknowledged it was cold out and had one side of the restaurant that was warmer & offered any table to sit at.

This was on a Friday night at almost 6pm and my friend and I came in to a nearly empty interior that filled up throughout our stay. Is it just dinnertime that time or were my friend and I bringing in the crowds? You'll enjoy a very clean and well-kept restaurant with clean tables and chairs, with lighting that's very little but lights up the whole place well. Menu has a lot of offerings (both regular and vegetarian) but since it's dinnertime I decided on a rice dish as usual. I got their beef short ribs rice dish, which has their usual marinated short ribs with a fried egg and veggies. I actually liked how they offered their rice in a separate bowl, and everything else on one plate... which means the meat almost covered my whole plate! By the way, my friend got their grilled pork chop rice dish, and the meat also almost completely covered his plate. Both our meats were marinated so well and held in so much flavor, and came off their bones easily. We both agreed the grilled beef short rib dish I ordered was the winner because of the bolder and more defined marinated taste of the meat. I've tried so many Vietnamese restaurants and almost exclusively get their beef short ribs rice on the first visits of them, but this is the first time I've seen meat portions this huge for a rice dish. I'm thinking of coming back here for another visit even if I have to deal with the tight parking plaza this place is close to.

They have a large menu with lots of options, and lots of items I was not familiar with. Our table ordered the spring rolls with pork. They were delicious! I went with their Classsic Vermicilli bowl which comes with pork, shrimp, a tiny egg rolls, noodles and cucumbers. It was delicious the pork was very tasty and the shrimp were seasoned perfectly. The restaurant is large and definitely a spot for families both small and big. I only noticed a few to go orders. Great spot for Vietnamese food if you happen to find yourself in Bellevue.

I was traveling in a group of 6 to Renton, WA, and we stopped by Blossom Vegetarian as our first…read morestop in the Evergreen State. One member of the group is vegetarian, hence a reason why we ended up going to a vegetarian restaurant for our first meal during our trip. Blossom Vegetarian is located on the southwest corner of 3rd and Burnett. We came in three cars, and the lot immediately in front of the restaurant can only hold about a dozen cars. The adjacent lot has more spots, but all three of us were able to find spots easily when we arrived. That's likely because we had arrived a few minutes prior to opening, so the door was locked when I tried to open it. Right at 11 AM, an employee came out with a signicade to place in front of the front door. Shortly afterwards, we entered and sat at a table for 8, which I found kind of odd because they had tables of 4 and 8, but not 6. Our table had a sign advertising a limited time special, which was Hanoi Beef Fried Rice at the time*. However, we were interested in the lunch specials, which were available weekdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. Knowing that our schedule wouldn't have allowed for a lunch special any other time during our trip, we went for lunch specials, which mainly consists of rice combos. Rice combos at Blossom Cafe come with rice, either jasmine or brown, the latter of which would incur a $1 upcharge. The combo also includes an option for a juice or coffee, and if you choose either, you get $1 off. With plenty of rice combos to choose from, two of them chose the same lunch combo while the rest of us went with different lunch combos, but shared family-style with one another. I chose the Blossom Rice Combo, which consists of shredded "pork", tofu pie, "beef" skewer, and vegetables alongside a lime vinaigrette dressing. I'm not too certain of the other combos, but I do know that the Cashew Chicken was another combo, and that's because one of my groupmates heard it was their most popular dish. Since I prefer brown rice over white (jasmine) rice, I opted for the $1 upcharge for the brown rice. Between the coffee and the juice, I went with a coffee since I was needing some after a long morning of traveling. They have four choices of Vietnamese Coffee: Cheese Cafe, Cafe Latte, Dalgona Cafe, and Cafe Sua. I went with the Cafe Latte, which consists of both condensed and whole milk. The coffee drinks can come either hot or iced. For whatever reason, everybody else ordered the iced drinks, but I went with hot knowing I'd have to brave the pretty chilly weather outside. It took about 13 minutes for the kitchen to prepare our orders, and then we feasted! The coffee was ready about a minute before the main dishes arrived. Everything tasted good, but I wouldn't say great, though that's probably because I'm not vegetarian. However, rest assured that all their meats aren't real meat, and this is indicated by the use of quotation marks encompassing the meat names. You can definitely tell these meats are truly vegetarian, though it took a few bites for me to discern the vegetarianism of the "beef" skewer. The brown rice tasted kind of odd. I don't quite know how to describe it, but it was way different than the brown rice I'm used to e.g. Flame Broiler. The rice tasted pretty meh by itself, but exhibited a much more elevated flavor profile after adding the lime vinaigrette, which I'm thinking was actually a fish sauce. But that Cafe Latte was smoooooooooooth. Just what I needed after not getting enough z's the previous evening. Since I ordered mine hot, my coffee came in a mug while the others who ordered iced coffee got theirs in a wine glass. These coffees supplemented the glasses of water we were given when we placed our orders. Service, unfortunately, was quite slow, so exercise patience! We were the first customers to eat there, and there were a few others who came in after we did. We stayed there for over an hour even though I think we could have gotten in and out in much less time. They didn't really check on us even though there were very few other customers inside as well; I guess we were supposed to proactively go up to the counter to let them know when we were ready to order as well as pay. 2026 calendars were available for purchase at a cost of $20, cash only. I don't know how many people would constitute a "large" party, but we were considered one, which resulted in an 18% gratuity fee that was already added to our individual bills. One of our groupmates, who was fluent in Vietnamese, needed to let the server know prior to paying. So overall, Blossom Vegetarian is a decent spot for vegetarians; I just wouldn't recommend for a quick lunch break since service is nowhere near as quick. * My visit was back in November. I waited until January to post this review as I took a brief hiatus from posting reviews upon traveling to the Pacific Northwest.

The fact that these were also coated in oil was pretty nice. On the inside, I thought the prawns were cooked well - they remained pretty soft and didn't appear overcooked I did feel like the spice was pretty much missing, though. I ordered 4/5 stars, but it tasted more like 1/5 stars as there was a pretty significant lack of spice that took away from a lot of the flavor potential. Speaking of the missing flavor, there should've been a lot more sauce added to this dish - either poured on top of the prawns or the prawns come sitting in it. The benefit of this is that it you can mix everything with the rice - and this sauce coats the rice to make it taste good. The way it's currently presented, the prawns are too large to really eat with the rice, and mixing the two will just result in eating the meat and taking another bite of plain rice because there isn't enough sauce to coat the rice. This dish just ended up being eating the prawns by themselves - the rice wasn't super useful As a result, after finishing I really wasn't that full For the price (around 20 ish) there are a good amount of prawns, but I wouldn't really say you're getting a good deal here

The restaurant was hosting an event, so part of the space was closed off, and service was noticeably slow. It took a while for the food to arrive. The khao soi was decent--not the best I've had, but still a solid choice. The Panang curry had a mild flavor with a subtle lime note and a touch of sweetness, which was interesting but not particularly bold. Overall, the food was okay, but unless you live nearby, it might not be worth the trip. If you do go, I'd recommend ordering a higher spice level, as everything leaned on the mild side. Good ambiance overall.

What a beautiful space with even better food and a phenomenal team!…read more Food & drink: (5/5) My partner surprised me with a dinner here for Valentine's Day since it has been on both of our lists to try. Only he has had Peruvian food before so we opted for the prefix V-Day menu to make decision making a little easier. I wish I noted the exact items, but I believe we got a nori cone with fresh fish on top, hamachi crudo, crab ravioli, braised beef with mashed potatoes and veggies, chocolate mousse, and chocolate covered strawberries. Every single item was DELICIOUS with absolutely zero notes from either of us. Our favorite had to be the crudo with the vibrant orange, tangy sauce. Their seafood is all incredibly fresh. For drinks, we got the maracuya sour and hanami whisper. Both drinks were a bit stronger than we expected but we enjoyed them nonetheless. They also had inca kola, though our server did have to check to see if they even carried it. It's a Peruvian soda that tastes exactly like bubblegum. Worth a try! Service: (5/5) Given we were there are such a busy night, the team was absolutely incredible. They were so attentive without being overbearing. More conversational but not in a creepy way haha. Other notes: There's a parking garage below the restaurant. You may have to walk around the building to get back up to the restaurant entrance but it's not too hard to find. Definitely make a reservation if you can.

Achupado 3/5 - this was a good dish, there was a variety of seafood and they were all good except for the octopus. That was inedible. I wished they cut it to smaller pieces so it can be eaten easier or give us a knife but as is, it was way too tough and chewy. Flavors was spot on, I do wish they gave more noodles to absorb the sauce Ceviche tasting - 5/5 love the variety. All of them was fresh, tangy and flavorful Complimentary corn - 5/5 this was addicting Service 3/5 : our server was very knowledgeable, he gave us a little of a tour of the menu, cam check on us a couple of times. However, I wish he would have clearly explained that the executive lunch was for the whole table, not just individual. Also, cleaning our table while we are still there is a bit rude in my opinion, almost feel like they are rushing us out. The place is fancy and very very pricey. Good for special occasions or once in a while splurge.
