Yasssss, Wonder Press! I have found my post-hike snack spot. This is one of this places that makes you feel healthier by just being in there. They serve things like golden milk with coconut oil in it and every type of bright green juice/smoothie situation you can imagine. It's healthy, it's pricey, and I love it. I've been here twice now, most recently after a fairly strenuous hike up to the Royal Arch at Chautauqua. My hiking buddy and I needed something to revive us, STAT. I remembered this little oasis that is Wonder Press and we made a beeline to get our hands on some kale-infused smoothies. We walked in and promptly ordered some healthy goodness--a Mint Chip smoothie for me and a Banana Chip smoothie for him. The Mint Chip smoothie is packed full of fresh mint, spinach, coconut milk, coconut water, and cacao nibs. I loved the freshness of and and the little bits of crunchy cacao--would definitely order again. Prices are pretty standard to what you'd pay somewhere like Whole Foods, and the vibe here is fresh to death. They don't have much in the way of food--I think just avocado toast, bone broth, and some snacky things like nuts and chocolate. We were in a mood for a smoothie and looked this place up because it seems to have good reviews. All I can say is people must be out of their minds: $11 for a smoothie that tastes as pretentious as the place! I had a Golden and my companion had some spicy avocado drink. The tally was as much as the breakfast we just had. The pseudo European hipster vibe and music was just all sorts of wrong. All I kept thinking about was Hanz and Franz from SNL. We're gonna pump you up!!! The golden smoothie tastes like someone spilled a jar of tumeric in it. I couldn't taste anything else. The spicy avocado was sour. But what Wonder provides is a whole food based, nutrient-rich menu where you are getting what you pay for. Ventured in one day before making my trip up into he hills for a little excursion. I love the light color scheme in this place because it makes the space feel more clean and open. The big brick wall just adds all the boulder coffee shop vibes and I adore it. The coffee choices are a lot different than your average coffee shop. They have natural flavorings and appear to stay far away from syrups which is awesome. I ended up ordering the golden latte since they had run out of bahkti chai... not a fan. I think next time I'll just stick to a regular latte. If turmeric is you thing though then the golden latte will be your jam. They have a ton of other flavors to try though and they all sound pretty good, I think I just chose wrong unfortunately. I did choose right, however, on the oatmeal. Wow. I was kind of expecting to hate Wonder Press when I first came in. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered their golden milk smoothie! I HATE HATE to spend $10 and up on a smoothie and it end up being thin and flavorless. I read a review from a previous yelper that made me nervous as this was the experience she had. I expressed my concern at the counter and they were awesome about making sure I got that nice smoothie consistency. They were super nice about it too. I was slow to try this place because I am always a little concerned about unpasteurized juices, but mostly those that sit on a grocery shelf but called "fresh." But really fresh is what I truly love. Here, they squeeze some flavors every day and I don't think anything is ever 2 days old so it seems safe to me. So I will continue to shop here, for so many reasons. So far, I have found 3 juice blends I really like. I love the Spicy Greens and the Good Juice. I also like the spicier beet juice in the "Root" section, but can't remember its name. Good Juice is beet based and mellow, and tastes a lot like the traditional mild fresh homemade Borscht of my youth. I certainly plan to try more flavors. I really like that there are lots of choices without mint, not always available at other juice bars. Everyone on the staff that I have met here is very friendly. You can sample anything before committing. You do have to buy a whole bottle of your selection, but that speeds up the service line tremendously over the "order, squeeze, wait" places. It also makes for more consistent quality. You can take the nice glass bottle home to use it over 2 days, if necessary, for the smaller servings that I like. Everything is dated for use, so do pay attention to it. You can also return the empty bottles for credit on you next purchase or a cash refund which is handy of you drink it all on the premises. Nice touch. And ecological for them, since the bottles are preprinted with their logo. The shop itself is sleek, roomy, lots of table work space, apparently with good wifi considering the number of people I saw working on laptops aside their juice. read more

Wonder Press is a beautiful space on west Pearl. I love the modern simplicity and bright airiness, it's a great (quiet) place to work or read. The selection of juices is extensive and you can find the basics and also some unique concoctions that rely on homeopathic and natural/herbal remedies. I'd say that if you prefer juices/smoothies in like, say, Jamba Juice, this may not be your cup of tea. But for people like me, who prefer more balanced, less (candy) sweet drinks, Wonder Press is far more appealing. I love that they have drinks ranging from sweet and fruity, to green drinks meant to be good for your body and tonics that can aid any any number of things you might be experiencing. Everything also tastes amazing! Some of my faves: -Yum Yum Latte Cold Brew: Cold-brew coffee, house nut milk, maple syrup, vanilla bean. -The Bright: Cucumber, green apple, collard greens, kale, parsley, lemon. -The Flu Shot: Cold-pressed ginger, lemon, oil or oregano, apple cider vinegar, cayenne. I LOVE their house-made nut milks! Last time I stopped in for a latte and they had several options (all house-made): almond milk, cashew milk, cinnamon cashew, and a seasonal pumpkin spice made with a mixture of cashew, almond, fresh pumpkin and subtle spices..... amazing! Like a pumpkin spice latte for foodies. The prices are pretty steep, so I unfortunately can't go here all the time. The juices can run fairly high.. $7-10. Best juices to me are the Spicy Greens (cucumber, celery, spinach, parsley, lemon, ginger), Yam Cookie (yam, carrot, apple, spices, ginger), The Rind (watermelon, basil), Tres Leches (cashew, walnut and brazil nuts). They will let you try a sample of every one of their ~20 juices to see what you like best. They also serve espresso and you can ask to put in their cold pressed almond milk in your drink. This place has been a longtime favorite of mine, and living right down the street is truly dangerous. The juice, the smoothies, the broths, the toasts are all delicious. Now that I have a baby, I do curbside in the alley which is such a game changer (thank you so much for keeping that going!) so I don't have to take my child in and out of her car seat and carry her all the way into the store. However, it does go by quickly and your food is served warm and crisp. They have fresh pastries daily with unique flavors so definitely get them a try! My boyfriend and I both went with their breakfast sandwiches since we read an article that this was the place to check out for that kind of thing. Your sandwiches are also customizable so you can add or take out any ingredients in your sandwich. I loved their bread. When I took a bite into it, it was fluffy yet crunchy. The perfect combo.
