Kung Fu Tea hit the spot after a morning of roaming around town. I don't believe there was a private parking lot and street parking was scarce so one of my girls stayed in the car while my other girlfriend and I went inside to do the drink run. I can't remember the exact name of the drink I ordered but it was something along the lines of Ginger Milk Tea with boba -- it was fantastic. Not too sweet or creamy with just the right hints of ginger. My girlfriends enjoyed their drinks also. Be sure to adjust the sweetness and ice levels to your preference. I noticed the menu shared that the milk used is powder which I'm not a huge fan of so if you aren't either -- perhaps, order it with less milk. Other than that, stop in to support a local small business and treat yourself to a sweet and refreshing drink. As of October 2020, it is takeout only.

I was super excited when I found out that there was a Kung Fu Tea in Boulder. The boba that I've had at other locations have always been of perfect quality, and this location was no different. However, I was surprised when I ordered the Winter Melon milk tea and found that it tasted different than the ones I've had at other locations. That being said, I wasn't too bothered as the drink still tasted really good. My friend got Taro milk tea, which is my normal go-to. I was shocked by how different that one tasted as well. I suppose not all Kung Fu Tea's are not the same. We still enjoyed our drinks and will forever keep Kung Fu Tea high up on our list of boba shops.

Yay, boba! For Boulder, this is a pretty big deal. I love the selection at Kung Fu Tea - you know it's Asian-friendly due to the handful of drinks made with Lactaid. :) My preferred drink: Mango Tea with boba (comes with lychee or mango bits or something). I opted to eschew the normal boba cup and plastic cover, keeping in line with my goal of reducing waste & plastic waste, and asked for my drink to be made in my to-go coffee mug. (I did have to use a plastic straw... Ill have to figure something else out for the future.) They did so kindly and without question, despite their inevitable thoughts of *just how* Boulder I was being. Thank you, Kung Fu Tea!

Place is clean inside but seems you have to pay for parking in a lot. Located near University of Boulder. I think it took a unusual amount of time to prepare our beverages. I got a Tara Bubble Tea and there were ample amount of "bubbles "however I thought the drink itself was rather sweet.

    Looks very intriguing.

Update May-27th-2018: I tried out their new Thai milk tea this weekend. It was a meh compared to other specialized Thai restaurants I have been to. Would not recommend. Stopped by this store after a hike near boulder as a treat to myself. The store was clean and the interior was cute. This branch did not seem to be as busy as the one in Denver. I was there on a Sunday at around 2pm. Only 1 table was taken. There were 2 staffs at the cashier with no waiting line. Music at this store was not as loud as the Denver store, which I prefer. As shown on their flyers, this Kung Fu tea branch serves lunch meal. I am highly curious to come back to try the lunch combo since the pictures looked pretty good. I ordered my routine kung fu milk tea with herbal jelly add-on. Taste of the tea was good as usual with perfect amount of milk and cream. Will come back more often in the summer after all the rough hikes!

I've been to these in other states/cities, but this location is a solid as well. Always delicious. Decided to try something new and got their yogurt drink with boba. The yakult and green tea really go together amazingly! I was surprised by how much I liked it.

I haven't had a drink here that has an unpleasant flavor yet. -Can adjust sweetness and/or ice levels. I like how I can get Asian sweet at the 25-50% sweetness level (diff adjustment depends on flavor). -They brew their tea strong you can actually really taste it without it being bitter. -I like how they add real taro and purple potato paste here in those drinks The Space: Limited seating. A good temporary place to remote work from during the day. It's comfortable enough to sit and talk for a bit but not cozy enough to spend too long at. The Service: Staff are welcoming and doesn't mind answering questions. They were super helpful and accommodating when I ordered boba tea for my wedding. Extra: They do catering orders (krak bags, toppings, cups, straws) for select flavors. Pick up only though due to their small staff. I ordered two boba teas for my wedding and pick up was easy with no issues.

There's not a lot of people out and about in the AM and it's really nice to walk around the area. I hadn't heard of this boba before (I didn't even know they had multiple locations). The signature drinks all looked amazing. Our favorite was the Taro Ocean. Each time we visited, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The drink was delicious, refreshing, and sweet but not too sweet. Tip: if you sign up for their loyalty program you can get a BOGO! If we're back visiting the area, we'll definitely be stopping by again!

Thought it went out of business. Decided to go into the nearby Pho restaurant, Pho Kitchen, which was beautiful. Turned out this was a brother shop on the first floor and Tea shop on the 2nd floor. Tea shop looked abandoned as the greenhouse side felt like you were walking into a sauna when you open the door. Fortunately, we were able to meet at the Pho Kitchen and order our drinks. Boba drinks were pretty good and the wait staff were patient with us as we were a large group. Black Milk Tea, Less Ice, 50% Sweet w/ Honey Boba ($7.25) - The tea is of the warm spiced variety that I've encountered only in a couple of boba shops, tasting kind of like cinnamon and cloves. It's a little weak in flavor, a bit on the watery side in taste even with the addition of non-dairy creamer. Half sweet is nice though, and same with the ice level. It doesn't otherwise stand out much. The way Teamate serves the boba is interesting, and not in a good way. They pre-portion out the boba in cups, rather than scooping to order. Who knows how long the pearls sit in those cups before being served. The texture reminds me of the microwave boba packets, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, however, there's some real inconsistency in texture. The pearls are generally lumpy, but some are way softer, approaching mushy, and some are way more firm. Mixed boba batches? I'm not sure. They're not all bad though, probably half of the pearls are nicely bouncy and chewy. Milk Tea Rating: 3.5/5 Boba Rating: 2/5 I found the drink from Tea Mate to be mediocre, especially since they don't treat the boba properly. I wouldn't visit again. Bathrooms - Two unisex rooms
