Kung Fu Tea hit the spot after a morning of roaming around town. I don't believe there was a private parking lot and street parking was scarce so one of my girls stayed in the car while my other girlfriend and I went inside to do the drink run. I can't remember the exact name of the drink I ordered but it was something along the lines of Ginger Milk Tea with boba -- it was fantastic. Not too sweet or creamy with just the right hints of ginger. My girlfriends enjoyed their drinks also. Be sure to adjust the sweetness and ice levels to your preference. I noticed the menu shared that the milk used is powder which I'm not a huge fan of so if you aren't either -- perhaps, order it with less milk. Other than that, stop in to support a local small business and treat yourself to a sweet and refreshing drink. As of October 2020, it is takeout only.

I was super excited when I found out that there was a Kung Fu Tea in Boulder. The boba that I've had at other locations have always been of perfect quality, and this location was no different. However, I was surprised when I ordered the Winter Melon milk tea and found that it tasted different than the ones I've had at other locations. That being said, I wasn't too bothered as the drink still tasted really good. My friend got Taro milk tea, which is my normal go-to. I was shocked by how different that one tasted as well. I suppose not all Kung Fu Tea's are not the same. We still enjoyed our drinks and will forever keep Kung Fu Tea high up on our list of boba shops.

Place is clean inside but seems you have to pay for parking in a lot. Located near University of Boulder. I think it took a unusual amount of time to prepare our beverages. I got a Tara Bubble Tea and there were ample amount of "bubbles "however I thought the drink itself was rather sweet.

Looks very intriguing.

Update May-27th-2018: I tried out their new Thai milk tea this weekend. It was a meh compared to other specialized Thai restaurants I have been to. Would not recommend. Stopped by this store after a hike near boulder as a treat to myself. The store was clean and the interior was cute. This branch did not seem to be as busy as the one in Denver. I was there on a Sunday at around 2pm. Only 1 table was taken. There were 2 staffs at the cashier with no waiting line. Music at this store was not as loud as the Denver store, which I prefer. As shown on their flyers, this Kung Fu tea branch serves lunch meal. I am highly curious to come back to try the lunch combo since the pictures looked pretty good. I ordered my routine kung fu milk tea with herbal jelly add-on. Taste of the tea was good as usual with perfect amount of milk and cream. Will come back more often in the summer after all the rough hikes!

YOGURT GREEN TEA (has yakult in it)

I've been to these in other states/cities, but this location is a solid as well. Always delicious. Decided to try something new and got their yogurt drink with boba. The yakult and green tea really go together amazingly! I was surprised by how much I liked it.

They are apparently planning a grand opening when summer arrives. I had seen it when eating on the west end of Pearl, just east of the new expanded Hapa sushi that took over the space of two that closed in the pandemic. This space is part of one that closed. I looked through the menu and found a fruit tea that has no caffeine, a choice I medically need. It is winter melon and it seems good for today, snow on the ground but not cold or windy. I ordered it with boba and they were so fresh and soft. Perfect. When I asked for it at a lower sweetness that was on the wall poster, the staff member informed me they actually do not have control of this other than diluting it. So that is what I had her do. It still tasted great and not too sweet but it does dilute it some. Other shops apparently use a separate sweetening syrup rather a premixed solution. As another Yelp review mentioned, it is very small inside with one wall with a bench to sit for a short time. It's actually quite pretty though and the staff efficient and friendly. I am giving it a 5 because only the sweetness was a small issue but it's really a 4.5 until they expand options. So glad to have them on Pearl in such a popular block. Though it is only Winter Melon that cannot be altered this way. Other teas can be easily customized.

I haven't had a drink here that has an unpleasant flavor yet. -Can adjust sweetness and/or ice levels. I like how I can get Asian sweet at the 25-50% sweetness level (diff adjustment depends on flavor). -They brew their tea strong you can actually really taste it without it being bitter. -I like how they add real taro and purple potato paste here in those drinks The Space: Limited seating. A good temporary place to remote work from during the day. It's comfortable enough to sit and talk for a bit but not cozy enough to spend too long at. The Service: Staff are welcoming and doesn't mind answering questions. They were super helpful and accommodating when I ordered boba tea for my wedding. Extra: They do catering orders (krak bags, toppings, cups, straws) for select flavors. Pick up only though due to their small staff. I ordered two boba teas for my wedding and pick up was easy with no issues.
