This place on the Hill in Boulder looks like it has a great variety of milk tea, boba, mocha blasts, flavored teas, smoothies, and dim sum. I'm writing this review since I had delicious coffee and onigira, which was tuna in a triangular-shaped rice wrapped in nori. The onigira was so delicious and filling that I bought a second one to take home for dinner. They also had a "spam" onigira, but I didn't try that one. The service and friendliness was 10 out of 10. Other places were over-busy on the Hill and this was comfy, affordable, and yum. read more

Lollicup was a great place for boba and assorted drinks. There was a very nice old lady who has now sold the business. The new staff have most of the same menu and some fried finger food that looked good. My honeydew boba was tasty and the same price, but they were quite swamped with a few orders and my single drink took twenty minutes, my entire parking reservation. A dozen people came in during my wait and they started getting very backed up. They were very nice but the smoothie guy was wearing flip flops. I'm all for the aloha culture but if brother drops a blender on his foot, that's gonna hurt! read more

Such an amazing place. In a world of trendy fast boba, this is the place to come. The owner is so sweet and learns customers orders. His dog frequently lays around and will come for a pet so make sure you say hi! The boba is delicious and definitely reasonably priced. I honestly thought I'd be writing a far more scathing review, but sometimes life isn't that serious, and this event provided some wonderful comedic relief to a very emotionally charged day. My friend went in to this store to get drinks for three of us, and waited 20 minutes for said drinks. In this time, the girl working behind the bar gave our drinks to her without the specifications that were originally provided when ordering, and offered to remake them. Okay, sure. This took an additional 30 minutes. I understand when a business is, well, busy, that it can be overwhelming for a single worker to take care of all of their patrons, but if that is the case, a heads up about how long the drinks would take would have been nice. In truth, she should not have been working alone at the cafe in the first place. I don't blame this girl at all, but rather whoever scheduled her to work alone. Please reconsider scheduling an additional employee to work alongside her on Saturdays. What I will say about this girl is that she has moxie and isn't afraid to stand up for herself. After my friend received the corrected drinks (after fifty minutes had elapsed), she told her that it would have been nice to receive some warning about the wait time. As she was walking out of the cafe with our drinks, I decided to see if we could receive a refund, since the first two drinks had already watered down after half an hour of waiting for the final drink. I will admit, I definitely walked in with a pretty intense energy, and I'm not proud of how sternly I spoke to what appeared to be a 19/20 year old girl, but her response to me was respectful enough, until she said the way I spoke to her was "inhumane" (as if she was featured in an ASPCA commercial. Come on girl, this is a food service job and there will be times where confrontation will occur), and said she did not like "dealing" with my friend. I was understanding up until that point, but decided it wasn't worth the copious amounts of glares I was receiving, so I left, but my friend decided to go back in one more time to see if she could get that refund, to which the girl said she'd have to ask her manager. So we left, twenty bucks poorer. All I'm going to say is if you think that me (regrettably) raising my voice and requesting a refund after poor service is "inhumane," then life really hasn't tried you hard enough, especially when you have salon highlights and are decked out in Free People Movement. We had had a few very nice visits to this cafe prior to today, so my review cannot be all bad, but PLEASE schedule an additional worker on busy days so that (from what I can see is NOT the first time this has happened, based on other reviews) this situation can be avoided henceforth and everyone remains happy and satisfied on both sides of the counter. Went here with my friend who says that this is her favorite boba spot in Boulder because the consistency of the drinks is good. Right on the hill and close to campus. The signage outside is a bit discrete though. I got the green apple slush with green apple jelly. The consistency and flavor of everything was good and the size for the price was good. After coming back, I personally really love this place. The server is incredibly friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a chill, more laid back vibe definitely come here. It's really peaceful and we saw the owners dog napping in the corner. We just got snacks this time I went and we thought they were delicious. My family and I came here on New Years Eve and were glad they were opened since other places were closed for the holiday. The young girl working was very patient and friendly. Came here for the first time and was really excited. I've been to Lollicup many times, but in California. Lollicup was actually the first place I ever tried boba, and it got me hooked. I was disappointed because this location said 'to-go only' on the door and I did not know (ahead of time) that they do not currently have indoor seating. I came to meet a friend, so not being able to hang in the store on a rainy day was not ideal. There was only 1 person working, so service was a little slow, but I give her major props for running it all on her own. I ordered a peach black tea with lichee jelly and it had so much syrup that I could not even taste the tea. I am somewhat of a boba connoisseur, so I may have gone with too high of expectations. I'd love to see them bring back the aloe jelly add on and maybe some drinks with dragonfruit! This spot is perfect if you're craving boba and want something for the go. There was pretty much no one in the store when we popped in around 10am. What I swallowed: UBE MILK TEA WITH LYCHEE PUDDING: I wanted so badly to like this (desperate even?) as it's been a hot minute since I've had good milk tea out here, but this left me disappointed. The lychee pudding was a bit flavorless and so was my milk tea, barely any ube flavoring and the lychee could have been just sugar pudding as far as taste buds go. The girl behind the counted was friendly but the milk tea definitely was not great. I left disappointed and didn't even bother drinking the rest. Not all Lollicup's are created equally. I've had Lollicup in California at multiple locations. Some are better than others, but overall they were okay. This location is terrible though, in terms of boba. They only hard large boba no mini bobas. My girlfriend and I got the classic milk tea with boba. The boba itself was hard as a rock. The milk tea itself was fine though. Tasted like lollicup milk tea. This location was really busy, but most of them probably never experienced real good, chewy boba before. Once they try the real stuff, they probably wouldn't be coming back to this location. Service was fine though. Nothing really wrong with this place, except if you plan on getting boba (pearls) here, be warned, it's not authentic and it's terrible. If you've had good chewy boba, then this place will definitely disappoint you. read more

I've been to both this location and the one in Denver! I got a taromilk tea with almond milk and boba + lychee jelly. It was so good! I really love how Lollicup has non-dairy milk options (almond milk, coconut milk, and soy)! Not a lot of gf/vegan food options, but they have the largest variety of boba/tea/slush flavors I've ever seen The food is also pretty good, I get cravings for it every once in a while. I've never received better service anywhere else in Boulder, the employees are amazing, and they treat their regulars really well. Bonus: the restaurant is never too busy, I've never had to wait in line, and the service is fast. I must preface this review by stating that I know the owner of Lollicup, so I may be a little biased, but I honestly think this place has the best boba tea in Colorado. A few years ago, some friends and I were discussing the lack of good boba tea in Colorado, so we are really happy that Lollicup opened its doors last year. The boba balls are chewy, sweet, and delicious, which are essential to a good boba drink. My favorites: kiwi green tea with aloe vera, honeydew milk tea with boba, plum green tea with green apple coconut jelly, lavendar milk tea with boba, and plain milk tea with boba. Aside from boba drinks, they also have some small dim sum snacks and coffee drinks too. They have spacey tables to camp at, free Wifi to use, magazines to read, and board games to play. Overall, a nice place to chill and grab a (non-alcoholic) drink with friends. Did you know that the term "boba" is a Taiwanese slang word for "large breasts"? Now whenever there's a debate about who has the nicest rack, I say the bobas at Lollicup are pretty good. read more

Stopped in here to have a mango boba. It was perfect, just the way I like them- cold and sweet and the boba was plump. I asked for extra boba and they complied happily. The only complaint I have is that I finished it too quickly ;-) they offer a large menu of drinks, different flavor a, teas, etc. I recommend the mango boba smoothie. Update: we've been in a few more times since last visit and it seems that the quality of drinks is going significantly downhill. Today, I ordered three boba drinks (two smoothies and a milk tea) and the boba tasted like it had been soaked overnight which is a big no-no. The first time I went to Lollicup in Boulder was about three years ago and it did not taste very good and the bobba was too mushy. I recently started to come back to Lollicup and I felt that as far as flavor and boba consistency goes, they have improved significantly. I usually get the Jasmine milk tea with bobba, which is creamy, smooth and not too sweet, but today I decided to try Lavender milk tea. To my surprise it tasted very smooth, creamy, and even throughout. The boba had a great texture, it wasn't too mushy or too hard. It was perfectly soft and had a good chew to it. I have a bit of a boba addiction and seek it out wherever I travel. As I am here in Boulder for 10 weeks, this place was a GREAT find! Their boba is pretty good especially compared to the chain Kung Fu Tea which is right around the corner. My fave is their lavender milk tea. The atmosphere is pretty dull and one of the cashiers is super rude, but the other workers are really sweet so it honestly depends on when you go. Contrary to some of the reviews, it's normally pretty empty, maybe because it's summer and there are less students. Definitely recommend coming here for the boba though. read more

I went into Lollicup today eager to see if they actually had tapioca drinks. I am from California, and we have many tapioca places throughout the state. Since I have been visiting this summer however in Colorado, the Ethnic foods have been terrible! So I was a little skeptical on coming to Lollicup at first. When I went in though, they had almost all of the same drinks back home. Generally I get thai milk tea, however I have tried numerous thai ice teas in colorado since being here and all have been terrible. So I ordered Passion Fruit Snow Bubble instead, and man that was the best! Tapioca balls were cooked just perfectly, and the snow drink that I chose was just like those of back home. I am very grateful to have found this place. It was definatley worth the drive if your coming from longmont. I will be back! read more
