While vitality bowls are pricey, these are the most beautiful açaí bowls that I've had in Denver. Is that worth $15? Maybe, but man, they're a treat for your eyes and taste buds. Vitality Bowls really nails it on the presentation and marketing of their bowls. They're filled with what you'd expect, but then they add things like bee pollen and other fun goodies that make you believe you've achieved health just by eating there. The regular and large are only a few dollars different in price, so if you're already here and spending a buttload, live a little and get that large. Treat yoself. The restaurant itself is super clean, and the staff makes it the fancy açaí bowl experience that you want it to be for double the price that you'd pay at another shop.

Delicious food, friendly staff quick to give recommendations if needed. Pretty much everything is or can be made gluten free.

Absolutely blown away by this place. We were looking for a brunch place that leaned a bit more into the banana-granola vibe as I am not a breakfast person by any means. My boyfriend picked this place out as we passed through enroute to Estes Park; he gets all of the kudos for having done so. I ended up going with their Nutty Bowl and a Tropical Paradise smoothie while he had The Rejuvenator. Love at first sip!

One of the best protein smoothies I've had. My only complaint is I went back the next day they were closed due to understaffing.

Smoothie tasted like water and they charge you 12 bucks for it. If your gonna charge that much for a smoothie it better be good.

So I get the Matcha smoothie without matcha and ask to substitute peanut butter for almond butter and you charge me extra? Makes sense.

We tried a lot of things on the menu and liked each dish. But our absolute favorites were the kimchi sweet potato fries (this was a crowd favorite dish and we're still dreaming about it), ginger chili potstickers (so good!), and the hot fudge cake with ice cream for dessert (melt in your mouth warm chocolate cake with ice cream, it was 10 out of 10). We also enjoyed the butternut penne, everything crunch salad, and butternut squash arancini which were all delicious. Also, the bread deserves its own shout out - very soft and warm, and still rich in flavor. Easily the best bread I've had in a long time. Service was great with a friendly and attentive staff. Ambiance was warm, inviting, cozy and sophisticated. Would definitely recommend stopping here to anyone!!

I've been here many times in a variety of ways--sat at the bar, at tables with friends and by myself, both inside and outside, and even experienced the large farm table prix fixe menu, which was fantastic. My experiences have consistently been great--the food, service, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. Tonight, however, was my first disappointing visit. I ordered the root vegetable bruschetta, which was very good. I also ordered the butternut squash penne pasta, a dish I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it was extremely spicy. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed or if it was just a heavy hand in the kitchen, but it was not something I could eat. I mentioned it to the waiter, who didn't have an answer, so I simply asked for a to-go container. Since I couldn't eat it, I later gave the container to a homeless woman sitting nearby with her grocery cart. On my way out, I spoke with someone at the door who brought over the manager. The manager asked if he could see the dish, so I opened the container for him. He then asked if he could taste it and reached in, picked up a noodle, and tried it, saying he didn't notice anything unusual. He also wasn't aware of any changes to the recipe. I suggested that if the dish is now spicy, it might be helpful to note that on the menu so guests know what to expect. What left me disappointed wasn't just the dish itself, but how the situation was handled. There wasn't an offer to replace the meal or provide an alternative, which would have gone a long way. As someone who is only about six months into living in Colorado and a new business owner in the area, I often refer places I believe in. Tonight left me questioning whether I will continue to recommend Leaf based on how this was handled, though I'm hopeful that by tomorrow morning I may feel differently. That said, based on my many past positive experiences, I still believe Leaf is a great restaurant. I just hope this was an off night and that a little more attention is given to both consistency in the kitchen and how concerns are handled moving forward.

Some items are now where they should as have been, like peanut butter is now next to jam and jelly jars rather than applesauce and baby disposable diapers! Who ever thought up that choice? But now all the chicken is in sealed packages rather than the fresh case. The staff has offered to open a package to sell only a smaller amount but I wonder how likely they will have time for this? A loss for me as I only buy for two people most of the time. Another change is that the olive bar is stand alone and no longer dished out into containers to grab and go. Much more chance of contamination from a different item from another bin. I still prefer this store for many things though both of the smaller Whole Foods location have a usefulness too. The previous in store location of Birdcall is now gone the the free standing location at Twenty Ninth Street Mall is still open and has seating a parking better than when it served here. It's nice to see staff members still working here for 20 years but also nice that some turnover happens for new energy too. When the remodel is done I will be back with pictures and an evaluation from a shopper's point of view.

Location is in a cool food hall which I somehow never knew existed! Lots of options on the menu. I like the dragonfruit over the açaí bowls myself. Plenty of toppings and tasty honey. I came especially for Playa Bowls as I had sampled the açaí option at a recent Yelp event in town. My friend wanted a more traditional lunch so she used the adjacent Chinese food from a long standing north Boulder favorite that relocated here last January I was so excited to see them that I will go back next week for my favorite dish they used to make, only on Tuesday. The Playa bowl was made quickly and efficiently by the staff. I had it customized to be less sweet by leaving off the honey on top. The whole bowl was packed with açaí with protein added, deep chilled but not as hard as ice cream. A lot of banana on top too and a tasty whole grain granola. I'm not usually a granola fan but put cold fresh açaí under it and it's a whole new dish. I had to bring half of it home and was told to keep fresh in my freezer for a second serving. I have walked by this food court on the Hill for decades but had not been inside to eat in many years. If that is you too, know that it is now nice and clean and light, no pets, no out of control hangers on, just a good collection of kitchens and students and random adult workers sharing space and not too loud either. There is a central refuse area now so no overflowing open barrels by the kitchens. If you are looking g for quick decent food on the Hill it's a good option again. Both Bento Ria and Flower Pepper have relocated here when their original spaces in out dated structures were torn down for redevelopment. There were others there too, none of which I knew about. It was just a little noisy at noon though seating was ample today, probably not on a game day so like everything on the Hill, check the football schedule before heading up. No parking close by, so walk from "somewhere."
