I experienced horrible customer service from a blonde curly headed girl with butterfly tattoos in the afternoon shift, she seemed to see us walk in and gave us a rude look, and her co worker whom was very nice attended us immediately and helped out with some questions! Although when it came my order she ignored me and was what felt discriminating and aggressive against (colored gay person) even though she didn't seem to have an issue with the white man behind me. (which is the reason why she even serviced me to begin with) because the person I introduced the store to was attended by the young man and I was serviced by the girl I am very disappointed as i've been attending to this establishment since it opened!!!! First time coming. Asked for a pina colada smoothie which also includes mango and peach. Smoothie had no flavor, barely hints of coconut if you looked hard enough. Went to the counter to ask for a reimbursement (drank only a few sips). They said no. They were willing to make me another smoothie but here's the thing: the smoothie is majority water/ice. I wouldn't want to pay 11$ for a flavorless slushee (but I already had). I asked if I could have some chips instead, again they said no. Oh, and their POS is set on default 15% tip but there is no FOH service. Tipping is for a job well done, not paid in advance. Vitality Bowls really nails it on the presentation and marketing of their bowls. They're filled with what you'd expect, but then they add things like bee pollen and other fun goodies that make you believe you've achieved health just by eating there. The regular and large are only a few dollars different in price, so if you're already here and spending a buttload, live a little and get that large. Treat yoself. I just visited Vitality Bowls for the first time last week and was pleasantly surprised. I got an açai bowl and a steak chimichurri wrap. Both were absolutely amazing! The açai bowl flavors were on point, with just the perfect amount of sweetness as a lot of these places are way too sweet for me personally. The wrap was very hearty and you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients. The individual helping me was Kori and they were outstanding! They were very helpful, professional, friendly and well educated on the menu and ingredients which really helped me choose the best option for what I was looking for. The service here is lacking. I was waiting at the counter for my online pickup order and the girl that was working came out to the counter from the back room on two separate occasions and ignored me BOTH times. Finally, when I was able to get her attention to tell her that I had a pickup order, she was very rude. I'm not usually a bowl or smoothie person. They are usually too big for me and the ingredients almost always include something I don't like or digest well, bananas, coconut, weird greens, or are in general too sweet. But I love fresh squeezed fruit and vegetables juices especially when I can choose a normal table size option, 12 ounces or less and especially if they graciously customize. This is the place. They even have at least 3 different menu designed options that meet my requirements that are actually interesting, and include things like beets, which I love and are not heavily dependent on standbys such orange/carrot bases, though I do love some carrot included. Yes the place is pretty crowded whenever I've been there. It's walkable from CU and Boulder High so that is not surprising. The staff has always been nice and pretty realistic on how long it might take. Yes, I have had to leave my order and return 10-20 minutes later on a busy Saturday afternoon on a CU game day but that's to be expected. There's lots of browsing nearby or you can do what one smart customer in front of me did and plan ahead, use the app and arrive to your order packed and waiting in a nice big bag. If I could give this place zero stars I would. They were super busy and we waited patiently for our three bowls and a sandwich. I had my two young kids with me. When they came out they had made the wrong bowl. I politely asked them to make me the correct one. The owner actually came out threw the old one on my table and said she was too busy to remake and walked away. I told her I was still missing some of my order and she yelled at me in front of my kids. Probably shouldn't own a restaurant if you flip out over making what people actually ordered. The staff was rude - one of the workers knew some other customers and spent more time chatting with them than making the smoothie. We do not recommend the smoothies here. We ordered a Whey Green and a Matcha smoothie. We had noticed that the apparent owner interrupted the cashier with each of the 3 customers ahead of us, suggesting add-ins for their orders. He did the same with us, encouraging us to add more ingredients for more money (Note the base smoothie was already just under $10 each). Once we received our smoothies, we understood why he was doing that. The smoothies are bland and unappetizing. Although we had very different drinks, both were a dirty brown color. Neither had any distinctive flavor--basically slightly sweetened milk--no match flavor, no greens flavor--just slightly chilled, ugly milk. Don't waste your money. read more
