I usually receive great food and customer service , but today was different!!…read more I experienced horrible customer service from a blonde curly headed girl with butterfly tattoos in the afternoon shift, she seemed to see us walk in and gave us a rude look, and her co worker whom was very nice attended us immediately and helped out with some questions! Although when it came my order she ignored me and was what felt discriminating and aggressive against (colored gay person) even though she didn't seem to have an issue with the white man behind me. (which is the reason why she even serviced me to begin with) because the person I introduced the store to was attended by the young man and I was serviced by the girl I am very disappointed as i've been attending to this establishment since it opened!!!! Personally I love this store so much and I like to take people there since the owners are very friendly and welcoming but i never want to experience this again or have anyone else feel uncomfortable!!!!!

Went to the counter to ask for a reimbursement (drank only a few sips). They said no. They were willing to make me another smoothie but here's the thing: the smoothie is majority water/ice. I wouldn't want to pay 11$ for a flavorless slushee (but I already had). I asked if I could have some chips instead, again they said no. Oh, and their POS is set on default 15% tip but there is no FOH service. Tipping is for a job well done, not paid in advance. Did they mess up my smoothie because I didn't tip in advance??.

I have to admit, this store favorite is a bit of a mess right now with a large remodel underway…read more But please know, many longtime staff members are keeping track for you to help find what you feel has gotten loss. Some items are now where they should as have been, like peanut butter is now next to jam and jelly jars rather than applesauce and baby disposable diapers! Who ever thought up that choice? But now all the chicken is in sealed packages rather than the fresh case. The staff has offered to open a package to sell only a smaller amount but I wonder how likely they will have time for this? A loss for me as I only buy for two people most of the time. Another change is that the olive bar is stand alone and no longer dished out into containers to grab and go. Much more chance of contamination from a different item from another bin. I still prefer this store for many things though both of the smaller Whole Foods location have a usefulness too. The previous in store location of Birdcall is now gone the the free standing location at Twenty Ninth Street Mall is still open and has seating a parking better than when it served here. It's nice to see staff members still working here for 20 years but also nice that some turnover happens for new energy too. When the remodel is done I will be back with pictures and an evaluation from a shopper's point of view.

Visited this shop while meeting a friend at the twenty ninth street mall today (in the space that…read morewas previously Starbucks). It was packed with exciting products some of which were 3rd party certified to be organic. Tried some lovely skin oils (they smelled so good), and perused their clothing, methylene blue drops, sea moss gummies and organ meat jerky. The place was popping and the line was never less than 6 people long the entire time I was there. Menu was varied and offered lots of yummy fresh and nutritious offerings. Had a really yummy juice called Glow (Apple, carrot, turmeric, ginger, lemon, aloe vera) that I shared with a friend. As the items are made fresh on demand it does take some time to receive your item. The other patrons today tended not to pick up after themselves and were not very courteous or self aware. It is parent's weekend for CU so what I encountered may be a one off. Will definitely be back to try more menu items.

I want to start by saying I would not want this review to deter anyone from enjoying a wonderful…read moremeal at Leaf. I've been here many times in a variety of ways--sat at the bar, at tables with friends and by myself, both inside and outside, and even experienced the large farm table prix fixe menu, which was fantastic. My experiences have consistently been great--the food, service, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. Tonight, however, was my first disappointing visit. I ordered the root vegetable bruschetta, which was very good. I also ordered the butternut squash penne pasta, a dish I've had before and really enjoyed. Unfortunately, this time it was extremely spicy. I'm not sure if the recipe has changed or if it was just a heavy hand in the kitchen, but it was not something I could eat. I mentioned it to the waiter, who didn't have an answer, so I simply asked for a to-go container. Since I couldn't eat it, I later gave the container to a homeless woman sitting nearby with her grocery cart. On my way out, I spoke with someone at the door who brought over the manager. The manager asked if he could see the dish, so I opened the container for him. He then asked if he could taste it and reached in, picked up a noodle, and tried it, saying he didn't notice anything unusual. He also wasn't aware of any changes to the recipe. I suggested that if the dish is now spicy, it might be helpful to note that on the menu so guests know what to expect. What left me disappointed wasn't just the dish itself, but how the situation was handled. There wasn't an offer to replace the meal or provide an alternative, which would have gone a long way. As someone who is only about six months into living in Colorado and a new business owner in the area, I often refer places I believe in. Tonight left me questioning whether I will continue to recommend Leaf based on how this was handled, though I'm hopeful that by tomorrow morning I may feel differently. That said, based on my many past positive experiences, I still believe Leaf is a great restaurant. I just hope this was an off night and that a little more attention is given to both consistency in the kitchen and how concerns are handled moving forward.

We'd already had dinner at home and stopped in for a drink and dessert. I mentioned this to the server, and from that point on the experience went downhill. I ordered a Happy Hour Cabernet Sauvignon, which was clearly about half the size of a regular glass. My husband ordered a ginger beer, but it tasted like sparkling water with syrup settled at the bottom, which he didn't notice until the end of the glass. My son's dessert was also priced $2 higher than what was listed on the menu. The service overall was incredibly lackluster. It was a disappointing experience at what has long been one of our favorite restaurants in Boulder.
