This visit, I got a seasonal Gingerbread Latte, my buddy got an iced americano. My drink was tasty, hot, and the gingerbread flavor was strong and flavorful enough without being too overpowering. I was getting my hair done nearby and this place was highly recommended. Stopped by on my way home and ohhhh I'm so glad I did. I was out of beans so I wanted to pick some up to go home. To my surprise, each bag purchase came with a free iced or hot coffee. As soon as I tried their drip coffee, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed with their roasted coffee beans. I got the only two types of beans they had that day; Guatemalan and Ethiopian. Both were roasted to perfection and each had very distinct flavors. Service was amazing, the employee was awesome. Even with just the free drip coffee, he first tasted the brew and wasn't happy with it, so he asked if it's ok to wait for a new batch. Wow! Visited on a Saturday morning and it was kinda busy. No to worry, though, in no time at all, we were a the front ordering our drinks. It's a beautiful LBC spring day so no one was sitting inside the super comfortable and super cute "living room" in the back. Everyone was taking advantage of the weather and were siting in one of the multiple chairs and tables outside. ICED CHAI is really good. HOT CHOCOLATE was rich and not too hot - perfect for the little one. HOT LATTE is strong. They were generous with their lavender syrup in the LAVENDER LATTE. So you could really taste that in there. I've come here twice as a place to get coffee and get some work done while my dog is getting groomed. Street parking can be plentiful. I love that there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors is nice for when you wan to enjoy the weather and the indoor area accommodates people who are alone, in pairs, or in a trio. It is a very cute and cozy coffee shop and the baristas are incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a pretty simple menu of coffees but do differently monthly specials. I've had their lavender latte and their April special which is the lavender foam matcha latte. Both did not disappoint! They also sell these vegan donuts that are not bad either. The taste of this coffee was like waking up in the morning and taking a bite of a rich and fresh French Toast. This drink had a perfect blend of maple and cinnamon, and is definitely recommended for those morning coffee drinkers with a sweet tooth. We were very hungry this week too. ‍ We had the Blueberry Muffin (enter desc.). Also, we had the Ham and Cheese Croissant, warmed up--and it tasted exactly like how it sounds! Here was my experience AMBIANCE: Parking: It's a unique off street specialized with stores but there's generally a lot of parking (30 cars or more) but depends on the time of day or events. Seating: At the front there's maybe room for 4 people but there's more to this cafe in the back that can house 3-4 groups. Feels: The area is in an off street of two busy ones - Carson and Lakewood, I haven't seen a setup like this but it's a pretty neat and charming. The place itself is pretty nice. I was welcomed by alternate music and the smells of coffee brewing. The setup is pretty cool it's basically a lovely setup of their merchandise, with local art in the background. Great place to catch up with a friend, do a local grab and go, or study. FOOD/DRINKS: Horchata Latte (Recommend) Served extremely hot which makes it very comforting for a cold day. A good portion of cinnamon with every sip and delightfully creamy. Chocolate Cookie (Recommend) This passes the test. Served heated up if you ask. The cookie itself was pretty soft and had a good portion of chocolate chips with every bite. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Great! I needed an adjustment to the espresso amount and they were able to reduce it without attitude. TL; DR OVERALL: 4.5 Stars! Awesome! I enjoyed this place! This coffee shop, like any other one in LB, is a MUST! The decor and ambience as soon as you walk in is amazing. You get a very homey felly to it because it is so cozy. The staff here is great too. Everyone is happy and you can tell they love their jobs. They were under some pressure since it was pretty busy but they were not bothered at all. Behind the register towards the restrooms, there is a little seating area. One big table, a table for 2, and a bench that at least two people can sit at to enjoy their coffee and possibly work since they have these cool tables. First off, I noticed on the menu they had some Latino flavors/choices and that definitely caught my eye. I love when coffee shops pay homage to the people in their community. Hence, I ordered the Horchata latte and it was amazing. Since they have milk alternatives, I ordered my drink with oat milk (which is actually $1 extra) but totally okay. The drink was great and the flavor was there. It wasn't too sweet and the cinnamon took it over the top. A couple of the other drinks on the menu caught my eye so I will definitely be back.
