I always forget about this wolfies location in Carmel because it doesn't stand out. Went out for a nice evening of dinner and was surprised to see that they had $4 Long Island specials! It'd been years since I had one so I indulged. I always think long islands are hit or miss on flavor but this one was excellent! I felt like being bad so I ordered mild wings and fries. Went for dinner the other night. Service was okay but could have been better. In our waiter's defense though, he was new on the job. That being said, they were not busy and our food took FOREVER to come out! Once it did come out, I was not overly impressed. I got the pulled pork BBQ sandwich, it was okay, but nothing special. Hubby got the patty melt, which he said was pretty good. Several of our orders had something missing or wrong though and we had to ask for something to be fixed. Atmosphere is usually pretty good, but service wasn't so hot today. Once we placed our order, we were pretty much forgotten from that point on - except to drop off the check. We stopped in on a whim; we were shopping next door, and we needed lunch. We sat off in a side room, where the TVs were turned lower and it was a little quieter. The seats were comfortable, and the space was inviting. One of us had a bacon-cheese-bisonburger, which was excellent. The other had the chicken finger basket, which was also good: the chicken was well cooked, but still moist. The fries were decent, but certainly not exceptional. She had no sense of urgency, couldn't remember which of the two tables to take my drink to, never offered a refill for my empty glass, forgot items...not a good experience. A friend and I stopped in for lunch a couple of weeks ago while we were out shopping and we weren't very thrilled with our experience. The food was decent, but our service wasn't very good, and they need to address how they charge for certain items. My friend got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. She asked for a bowl of soup instead of the cup that comes with it. On the menu, there is a $2 difference in price between the cup and bowl, but when her bill arrived they had added a charge for an additional cup of soup, which is $3.99. I pointed out that it should only be a $2 charge and she ran off to find her manager. She came back and said that's how they do it. My friend didn't want to make a fuss so we dropped it. Well then we paid our checks. We both paid with cash, but we absolutely did not tell the server to "keep the change." For mine it was fine because I only had a couple bucks in change coming back, but my friend paid a $13 bill with a twenty. After waiting and waiting we finally flagged her down and asked about the change. Her facial expression was comical. So she disappeared for awhile and then came back with the change and said she'd "forgotten" it in the back and then asked if we wanted refills to go (this after having to be asked for refills and rather subpar service). Please. We are not fools. I'm not including her name only because I think she is very inexperienced and I hope she either learns how to be better or finds a job more suited to her capabilities. read more

Even though it's hard to find, well worth the visit. Came in with a friend after the Colts game to watch some more football and was not disappointed. Service was great, Annie was our sever and she was very attentive, prompt and personable without being too over bearing. Friend got ribs which were very tender and would come back just for those. Food overall was great, I was recommended the wolfies style wings, which were good size of wings, juicy not spicy but a lot of great flavor to them. I would give this place negative stars if that were possible. I sat with my family, while live music was playing, on a Tuesday night, for over 90 minutes. WITH. NO. SERVICE. Not a water. Not a welcome. Nothing. After 35 minutes of this I went to the bar and asked to have someone sent to my table to take our order. 10 minutes later, we got the beer bottles from the previous customers cleared away. Then, more nothing. The manager was even one of the people clearing the bottles and saw me holding the menu. Unbelievable lower than low customer service. Don't go here if you ever want to eat or if you want someone to even acknowledge your existence. I was not alone in my want of service in the restaurant that evening. I went to the front check in area to try to locate some help and several desperate patrons (hoping I was an employee) asked me for assistance. This place sucks more than a bag of dog doo. My husband and I recently had dinner in the bar at the Wolfie's Carmel location. I ordered an entre with fresh broccoli as a side dish. The broccoli was rotten, literally had black mold or something all over it. The lighting in the bar wasn't great so I didn't notice it at first. The waiter had to check with the manager, who was on a phone call or something and kept us waiting for at least 20 minutes. The waiter reported back that the manager had authorized him to take 50% off my meal and charged my husband full price. We paid the bill and will never return. The manager's lackadaisical attitude about this was totally unacceptable. Needless to say this story has been shared with family and friends. Bottom line: don't eat at Wolfie's if you want quality food and good customer service. You won't find it there. read more

Mysterious. Been here many times. Party of four. Ordered a SA Octoberfest. 10 minutes later, they report no Octoberfest but they have SA Boston Lager. Fine, I'll take it. 10 minutes later. Out of that. I ordered a water. Somewhere in there we ordered pulled pork nachos and some dry rub wings. 10 minutes to find out they were out of pulled pork...at 8:15 in the evening. The only reason we tried Wolfies was because we received a gift card. We ordered carry out: ribs, 2 orders of chicken fingers. The "Famous Smoked Baby Back ribs" were so dry and rubbery. The chicken fingers and fries were all over cooked. The chicken was so dry and the fries were beyond crispy to almost hallow. We will never eat here again. My wife and I met another couple for dinner Saturday, July 6. We had a couple drinks and some Stuffed Mushrooms (Very Good) before our friends arrived. I ordered a Rack Of Ribs & cup of Clam Chowder (both men ordered same). It took longer then normal for our drinks but we were having fun. Our server came by and apologized. Finally the 2 rib dinners & soup arrived at the same time. Of the ladies dinner not arrive until much later. Frank & I ask for BBQ Sauce as I have never had Ribs w/o sauce. It took a while to get the sauce as well. Eventually the sauce & ladies meal arrived. Again, the waiter apologized & I believe the manager / owner also apologized. The Ribs were cold & dry and I ate maybe 3 bones. The server ask if I wanted a go box & I stated the Mushrooms, Clam Chowder, Fries were great but the Ribs were the worst I have ever had. He again Apologized. We eat out very frequently and do not look for freebies. I left the server a 20% tip on a $72.99 tab. After thinking about it I feel he should have discussed with the Manager and do not know if he did or not. I think they were understaffed due to a large private party. That said, I will not go back. I usually dine at Wolfie's once or twice a week. Normally the service is as great as the food and atmosphere. Last Friday, I stopped for dinner. Found a seat and waited for a server. Not too long I was approached about a drink. Ordered an unsweetened iced tea. Then ordered a shrimp cocktail and the fish and chips. The shrimp came out soon after in a nice glass. However, there was no plate to place the discarded tails. Put them on the drink napkin. Then the server noticed and brought a small plate. Then the entree arrived. Looked great. The server set down the bill and said "no hurry." I have never had a server give me the bill so quickly. It did make me feel like she was too busy for me. Twice I had to wait about 5 minutes for tea refills. Then she asked if I wanted take out box. I had fish, tarter sauce, cole slaw, shrimp and cocktail sauce. She brought me a small box without any containers for the slaw and sauces. Previous servers have always asked me what containers I need. I paid the bill, left the leftovers and departed disappointed in the experience. Normally I am a great ripper of 30% or such. But that night I tipped 20%. I have always had great, attentive service but not that night. read more

What a horrendous experience. The fact that I took the time to download yelp and write a review on Wolfie's just goes to show just how bad it is. Upon walking in, there is no host..so you are forced to sit there to wait. The worst part is the live music, people come to restaurants to converse and eat, not to get their eardrums brutally murdered by 200+ decibel speakers (exaggeration). The point of food service is not to give your customers headaches but to please them. I will NEVER be back, very disappointed. This is the worst restaurant I've been to out 100's in the Indy area. I'm so sad!!! Have been to Wolfie's several times and ALWAYS enjoyed the food. But , the menu had been changed and we did not like the changes. My husband had a tenderloin that was too dry to eat.
