First off let me say I had grandkids with me so could not go inside for the full restaurant experience. I ordered online and order was ready way before the estimated time of 40 minutes. The server got the togo order for me and brought it to the door since I had the kids. I appreciate that. Now for the food, this was very limited sample so don't let it prevent you from trying the establishment. It looked fun inside and there was a patio outside for dining and hanging out. DYNAMITE CHICKEN ROLLS $12.65 Egg Rolls Stuffed With Grilled Chicken, Spicy Black Beans and Corn. Served with Southwest Ranch. These were dry and not spicy at all. There were about 3 beans and pieces of corn per half eggroll. If the ranch was inside the eggroll, I couldn't tell. Only the space I chose made it spicy at all. It came with a small pile of shredded lettuce and again several beans and pieces of corn. ISLANDER BURGER $17.25 Premium Ground Beef, Grilled Pineapple, Tropical Rum Glaze, Cheddar, Mayo on a Toasted Bun Good concept, plenty of pineapple and mayo but not much flavor. Whiskey Business has only recently come back on to our radar as a quick neighborhood-ish meet up spot with friends. Service has always been hit or miss, but for cheap drinks and happy hour food specials, you cannot beat it. Things get a little jumbled up check wise if your party is large and we have just rolled with it since we were with friends, but check your bill before handing over your card. Limited veggie options that aren't fried - but it's a bar so I am not counting this as a strike against them. Check out WB for the events (live music to Slingo nights) and daily food and drink specials. They can get busy and it's loud in there - but a good time. read more

Met a friend for dinner on St. Patrick's Day. Whiskey Business was offering a corned beef and cabbage dinner for $13. It came with ample portions of corned beef, cabbage, parsley red potatoes, and grilled and buttered Texas toast. It was, without a doubt, the best corned beef and cabbage dinner I have ever had. It was so good I ordered one to go. Their beef Manhattan dinner is the tops, but this dinner beat that. I'm going to check the next time I am there to see if it is offered for New Year's Day because I will be back and definitely bringing friends for next St. Patrick's Day! Went to Whisky Business for lunch. I ordered a pizza and my wife the Fried Chicken Salad off the lunch menu. The lunch menu is offered daily and includes a selection of meal options and a soda for $10. The portions are large and it's a good deal. Our server was prompt and attentive but not extremely knowledgeable or helpful, initially. It was a Saturday and an IU game day so I asked for the mini Coors beer pitcher for $7.50. I was told that was the special on Thursdays. I pointed out there was a poster on their wall indicating it was Saturday IU game days. She said she was not told that was the special today but she'd ask. She came back and said the special was Thursdays. Again I pointed out the posted and again she said she had not been told that was the special. I did not get the mini pitcher of beer. The pizza was good ... more a traditional pizza and crust. Somewhere east of Indy is a Whiskey Business. We walk in and find ourselves standing in a room confused to as if we were to talk to someone to seat us but find out, this is a bar so seat yourselves. Oh, here is a booth. Let's sit there. Lady comes over and said let me wipe off the table. She take a sopping wet hand towel and 'cleans' our table. I think this is normal and thank her for doing such an act. I got a Long Island and hubs gets a rum and coke. Pretty good after a few sips. Order fish and chips and an island burger. Food was not the reason we came here. It was actually a surprise from my hubs as this is a date night. Well, we arrived late on a Friday because there was live music at 9:30p and didn't want to fight for a spot to sit. There were empty tables when the band started to play. Just the facts! Got a few more beers in and it made sense: this is in east no mans land Indy. I did a pickup order from this establishment and my order was ready at the exact time they said it would be. The staff were very friendly and attentive when I came inside to grab my order which consisted of The Pickle Cruncher, BLT Supreme, and Yum Yum Shrimp. Everything was hot and delicious. It's a sports bar so I give it a solid 3 1/2 but I'm rounding up. Didn't know what to expect with a name Whiskey Business somehow I thought it was a more upscale place but it's actually a sports bar. So with that it gets a 4. They have a variety of whiskey, but no menu because they said their Whiskey rotates and they never know what they may have. They have about 15 TVs and we came during college football time so there were a variety of gaMes being shown including football and basketball. What I found interesting is the diverse crowd. Young, old, white, black, Asian, Hispanic and everyone seemed to be at home with no judgement. My kinda place. Drinks come with a nice pour and very nice bartenders. We ordered food, the boneless wings and fries. The sauce for the wings were great (hot garlic and jerk) and the fries were non-breaded which are my favorite. There are several pool tables and dart boards so there's something to do if you aren't into just sitting. They also have a touch tunes jukebox and an ATM. I imagine on Sundays this place is swamped because of all the TV's so come early! read more

First time ever eating there and ordered online. I ask about one of meals and she yes it's in there with the gravy in the side. Get back to where I am staying and the meal isn't in the bag. Tried calling there 4 times on my way back and no one answers. They remake the meal and it takes longer than it did the first time. No sorry or anything. She hands me my food and I take it and say thank and walk out and she talks back to me about me being annoyed. I get she didn't package it but it was still recalling annoying to have to go to a place 2 times to get my food and no one can answer the phone bc the music was too loud. Heck I couldn't even answer my own phone so I had to miss a call. So check your bag and treat them like you owe them for coming to their restaurant. read more

We found this spot while on the East side and decided to give it a shot. It's a bar but had a nice ambiance. The noise SR level was low and we could comfortably talk. Our server was quick to wait on us and continued checking in throughout our stay, service was on spot. We are watching our weight and avoiding fried foods so we both ordered the chef salad, I was pleased that they were able to offer me a fat free raspberry vinaigrette. That was very tasty. We also tried some Reuben rolls, and they were very tasty as well. I will definitely go back when I'm on this side of town and try some other items. read more

We visited this place late one Saturday night. When we came in, we were ID'd then found our own table. They had a live band playing so it was really loud. Be aware this is very much local bar whole in the wall vibes but I liked it. The waiter came along and got our orders. The food came out surprisingly fast! Everything was very clean for what I might call a dive bar. Absolute downside was the food runner who had so much perfume that she would have choked a strip club out. Serve food...no perfume/cologne. Everyone was friendly and the ordering and checkout process was very efficient. We were warned that the thin-and-crispy which is our choice was frozen and the toppings slid off so we chose the hand tossed pizza which was super soggy. Good sauce and topping taste. The exterior crust was crispy and tasty which is a shame it was not throughout. A bit of moisture reduction and this would be a really good pie. No reason not to return but we will be careful in what we order. read more

This is the quintessential bar that serves food good enough that people come in as much for that as to get their drink on. The menu is bar bites/pub grub a'plenty. Lots of wraps and wings and burgers and other assorted things that are grilled or deep fried. I had the Mother Clucker, which was a sandwich with two substantial sized chicken breasts, deep fried and covered in buffalo wing sauce, topped by pepper jack cheese and the usual burger toppings (i had mine with no onions). Regular fries and an unsweetened iced tea on the side. The sandwich was even better than I had hoped. The chicken tasted good, not cheap. The wing sauce was smooth and spicy without setting my face on fire, and it wasn't slathetered on there, in the spirit of 'If a little bit of wing sauce is good, a whole lot of wing sauce is great', which only serves to make the sandwich extremely messy to eat. It's not optimal when you're on your lunch hour from work to come back to the office with orange wing sauce stains on your clothes. I'd love to go back and try some other bits and pieces from the menu. My one caveat about this place is that it's a bar. In addition to not allowing anyone under 21 (which is hip hip hurray for me but probably not so much for those with families), there were only two people working the front, with no hostess. The bar seating was about 2/3 full, and it definitely seemed like getting to the people at tables was a secondary priority. I got what I needed and it was fine, but don't expect anyone to be lightning quick in doling out the refills. Probably easier to go up the bar and ask for it anyway. read more

I do not know what has happened to The whiskey Business off of Pendleton Pike. My sister and I used to go and meet there for our time away from everyone else and we would just talk and talk food was perfect drinks were perfect and service was perfect. We went last night... May 9th and everything was terrible. The service was absolutely terrible the food was bad the burger was not cooked the way we wanted it to be cooked the onion rings were thick with breading that wasn't fully cooked through the fries were okay and the drinks weren't made the way we wanted him to be made. I don't know that we are going there any longer. Sad .. because it was our go-to place. I guess we have to find a new place. read more

My husband had the cheese steak and said it was good no Pennsylvania but good . I ordered the pub it was enormous.I'll post pictures . We ordered nachos for an app , which was overkill we had so much food . Everything was well cooked and even late on a Sunday night the food was freshly cooked . ONE bad note the cheese they use . On the nachos it was that lumpy yucky "cheese sauce" which is just a waste . It's so easy to just use shredded cheese I don't know why they ruin perfectly good nachos with that garbage . This is a sports bar with really good bar food. I had the "Biz Mac" smashed burger and it fell apart as I ate it, but it was delicious. Also, you can upgrade to waffle fries or onion rings for free! My coworker had the Mexi Smash burger and onion rings and he said they were awesome, too. read more
