Great local "water hole" type place. I went here for lunch and was met with a smile and friendly service. The food was tasty, but a little greasy. That is exactly what most people want from a place like this though. I had a tenderloin and fries and enjoyed it immensely. read more

All of the guys from our company like going there during lunch but all refuse to go back because one really nasty Bartender/Waitress. She creates problems that don't need to happen. Today we walked out before ordering because her nasty attitude and mouth. We're done and won't be back. read more

We stopped here because I needed a Tenderloin sandwich fix. We took a chance and we're glad we did. The tenderloin is thicker than most and is delicious. My wife tried the Buffalo Chicken sandwich fix I like the dive bar feel. We were in a time crunch and our server made sure we got out in time. Next time in Indy we need to hang out here a bit. read more

Trader's Mill Grill & Bar - Draught Zombie Dust - Sports Bars Near Me - Indianapolis, Indiana

Always a good time at Trader's Mill. Plenty of parking outside and it's located within a strip. They have trivia days, which is nice and you can win gift cards. We went on a Sunday night to grab a drink. It wasn't too crowded. Music was good but not too loud. There's plenty of bar space, tables, booths, two pool tables, a basketball game and a few others. Chad was our bartender and he was great. Fun, friendly and very quick with service. There was a party of approximately 12-15 people but the bar is a nice size so it wasn't overcrowded. I ordered sweet potato fries only. Wish they had maple syrup to be honest, but they weren't terrible. This is a very chill bar to come to. They have a steak special every Friday. Enjoy! read more

Great spot to watch your favorite game. Plenty of TV's and lots of seating. It's bigger than it looks and also has an outside patio. The menu is varied, with all the pub basics. Pizzas, burgers, salads, a couple of steak options and plenty of sandwich choices including a tenderloin. Full bar with plenty of beer and other cocktail choices. We had the 12 inch thin crust pizzas one veggie and one with meat. Pretty tasty! I can recommend the Zombie Dust if you like beer. Food was better than I expected so I will go back. Our server Brooke was excellent. read more

I have gone to this spot several times. Usually on Friday night after 9 PM. It is rarely crowded which is very nice when there is a large group of us. The service is outstanding and the drinks are good. My favorite menu items are the mozzarella sticks and jerk chicken wings. This place ia definitely worth a try if you are looking for casual dining and a good bar. read more

We went in for a quick bite to eat after our movie ended at the nearby movie theater at like 10:30pm. Not many restaurants/bars in the area were open, so a bonus was this bar closes at 1am. It's a sports bar, so several tvs and games are playing. Decided to sit at the bar.The bartender was friendly upon greeting us and giving menus. Also informed us of a large party coming, so placing our food order quickly was a good idea thanks to his assistance. I ordered chicken quesadilla (to hungry, forgot to take a pic) and a cocktail. The quesadilla was filling, to the point I couldn't eat it all. It was delicious, came with the standard topping sides of sour cream and salsa. My drink was a tequila sunset, with tequila, pineapple juice, and grenadine. The bartender made it just right, heavy pour of the alcohol, I knew it was in there for sure, lol. The bartender was so nice, we even had a round of fireball shots with him to close out his shift. I would definitely be back to this bar again for the vibes. read more

I had ordered an old-fashioned and it tasted like watered down whiskey so I had asked if I could get a different drink instead. The waitress told me that that was just how they made their old fashioneds and said if I wanted another drink, I'd have to pay for it. read more

Was eager to try this place, but after sitting for almost 20 minutes without being acknowledge, I couldn't believe it. I actually went up to the bar and asked to place my order because the one waitress in the place was oblivious that we were sitting right in the middle of the restaurant, she disappeared from time to time so I asked the bartender can I just place my order with you? He asked me if I was sitting at the bar. I said no I'm sitting over there with my wife, he's like oh the waitress will come get you so he basically refused to take my order so we went back and sat there twiddling our thumbs for another 10 minutes the one and only waitress that I saw disappeared roaming around the restaurant and another one walked by us without even saying hi or eye contact I walked out. Needless to say we walked out and will never be back ridiculous with all the food in that area. You think they would be better read more

Went Saturday with a total of 10 people it was pretty empty when we went in. The bartender ran the whole place herself and she killed it. Luckily our group are very good tippers because she deserved every bit of it. We got a lot of different things to share, it's standard bar food their mozzarella sticks are huge and so cheesy. read more

Good food, outstanding service. Backgammon Wednesday nights 6:30, be prompt. Chad, Drew and Brooke are the best.

I've been here several times while vising Indy for work. Trader's Mill is a big space with a large "U" shaped bar in the middle of the place and ample seating through out the rest of the space. There are also a few pool tables and several flat screen TV's scattered around the place. The place has undergone a change in ownership in recent years which has been good overall, but the beer list has suffered for it. Last time I was in, I had the pizza which was quite good. The bartender was friendly and attentive. Overall, not a bad place to stop and get a couple of beers and some pub food, but I would love to see them have a better curated tap list. This is a time I wish I could give fractional stars (3.5 Stars) read more

I would go more so 3.5. We walked in and the vibe was nice, big and fairly nice bar. We get greeted right away, but I do think the server may have been overwhelmed. Quite a few patrons and the place is big enough to spread one person thin. The food was good - I did chicken enchilada soup and quesadilla. My husband got a build your own burger (came out without the bacon, not a game changer) and Cajun coins. We agreed the quesadilla and Cajun coins were our favorites. We'd give it another go because I feel service isn't a reason to stop after one time. read more

First visit to Trader's Mill for lunch. We ordered the Club sandwich with onion rings and the Gyro with fries. Food was quicker to the table than expected and had good taste. The server guy obviously works hard for guests and provided excellent service. The lunchtime atmosphere was pretty chill, but I could see this place getting lively in the evenings, especially during bigger sporting events being displayed on multiple TV's and projector screens. I can definitely tell I am in Big 10 country here. LOL Overall, a good place. read more

Trader's Mill Grill & Bar is a vibrant and fun venue. On Wednesday night, the pool table was hopping and a group of backgammon fanatics had a vibrant competition up front. Friends sipped beer and wine and laughed. The bar was electric! This place has totally rebranded itself. No longer smoke filled. Clean, colorful, interesting, a great neighborhood bar. We stopped by to try the dinner. Carter was our five star server. Even though they were crowded he was efficient and attentive. He offered suggestions and checked on us regularly. The menu featured steaks but we were in the mood for something lighter. I tried the Chicken Deluxe salad (10.99) and a cup of the chili ($3.99). The chili was outstanding - hearty and flavorful - a five. The salad was just ok. The portion was generous but there was not much flavor. Grilled chicken, diced tomatoes, onions, eggs, cheese over a bed of iceberg lettuce. Very filling. My table mates had the Chicken BLT salad ($11.99) and the Fabulous Fish and Chips ($10.99). The BLT salad was outstanding with two green fried tomatoes, grilled chicken, applewood bacon, chopped tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce. Lots of flavors, filling and interesting. The fish and chips was also delicious. All in all, good bar food. They offer nightly specials which are a $1 off certain plates. Tonight was $2 off wings. We did not try. We will be back. I want to figure out how to get in on the backgammon. read more

After many years of coming here, I still enjoy Traders. They've been consistent and the food remains good. They've got a great outside area to chill out in. Service is typically good and there is plenty of variety in the drink options. This is a bar, so no kids allowed. There are plenty of tables to choose from. Also, there are 3 pool tables, and a pop a shot game for a little fun. Typical bar food, my faves are the potato skins and garlic knots. They also have a gyro which is pretty good too. Pizza is great as well. read more

My SO and I have been here five times or so and unfortunately our experience has never been as great as it was on our first visit. The service is pretty much self directed: I asked for water, I asked for a food menu, and I asked for our check. We'll continue to come for the TV's, reasonable drink prices/specials and the ability to get a seat at the bar but 3.5 stars for the restaurant is probably fair. Don't judge a book by its cover! This place is awesome! We're only here for the drinks and the tvs so I can't speak for the food but as a sports bar it definitely serves its purpose. I see 18 TVs and the pacers fans in here are lively! Liz behind the bar is great, allowing us tastes of beer and helping through the drink menu. Sunday Blue Moon-mosa $4.50 with fresh squeezed OJ is really good! We were pleasantly surprised. I can't believe we've overlooked it for so long, we'll be back read more

This is a food gem! I was happy to find a non-chain place, and it did not disappoint. It feels like a lively restaurant/sports-bar, but it is also a relaxing place for anyone to catch a great meal. I grabbed a spot at the bar, and was quickly greeted by Chad, and served a drink in no time. The menu is robust, and I welcomed the suggestion to do the fresh beef filet special... it was under $15 bucks with TWO sides. My food came out cooked to perfection. So, yesterday(5/22) it felt good actually sitting down at a restaurant enjoying good food, music and company. At, the moment we can only dine in at restaurants that has patio seating, and I decided to have dinner Friday evening with my mom. The patio nice size, wasn't too many ppl, the restaurant have hand sanitizer stands out, all the Servers as well as the Manager were wearing masks. I had the traditional bbq wings(8), Oliver Cherry Moscato & mom had same as myself including drink. The only thing is I'm not sure if the server Tricia was new to serving since she kept forgetting items. She, was helpful on the menu, including the wine selection, and it was our first time eating there which I'll be back. read more

Surprisingly good steak. Good food and good ambience. Grab a drink and hang out. Good for game times or just chilling

This has always been my favorite place to hang out with friends! When I went it was patio seating and some inside seating, the bar area was still closed. I hadn't been in for awhile so I found out that in Fall 2019 the place came into new ownership which was evident in the menu. The menu has gone through a refresh with some of my favorites in place and a few new menu items. A lot of the same staff is still there so it's great to see some friendly faces! Omar and his dad are very friendly and they make sure you're getting taken care of. The drinks were on point and we tried a new menu item, I believe it was the filet kabob bites with rice and it was amazing! We also got the buffalo chicken cheese dip with chips, it was very flavorful. I can't wait to come back to try out new menu items! read more

This is a nice bar! I've been several times, but I went last week with a group of friends who have never been before. Everyone seemed to enjoy it! The only complaints anyone had was there wasn't enough chicken on their nachos, they felt ripped off after ordering them. They said the flavor was good, it just wasn't enough. I was surprised, because I've always enjoyed the food at this bar. The second complaint was the front door getting stuck and not closing after people walked in or out. We sat at the first couple of high top tables, and after the first four groups or so walked in and out without closing the door behind them, we finally complained to someone. His only answer was for us to get up and move. We probably would have, but we all already had drinks and food, and no one wants to move after that. I will continue to come back to this bar! really do enjoy it, I just know not to order the nachos and not to sit next to the front door ! read more

Late dinner on our way home from the airport. This is a really nice sports bar in the Traders Point shopping center. Great hours for eating lunch or late dinner, 11 to 11. Lots of TVs if you want to catch a game. Big bar and also a variety of tables to choose from. A pool table too. The food was really good. Recommended by our server I ordered the Gyro. Generous serving with delicious tiziki sauce and a choice of side. I loved the fries, crispy and enough to take home. My husband enjoyed the Breaded Tenderloin sandwich with a side of mixed veggies. The Guinness was outstanding! Reasonable prices We will definitely stop in again read more

First, you should know this is a 21 and over bar. As you enter it's seat yourself at one of the numerous tables, booths or at the large U-shaped bar. Regardless of where you seat there's a flatscreen TV at every angle. In the back area of the bar are 3 pool tables and an electronic dart board. The lighting is low, the music is average to loud and the food was good. The menu consists of Appetizers, Soups & Salads, Sandwiches, Burgers and Pizza. Available after 5 p.m. are Steaks and Entrees served with two sides (Filet Mignon, Ribeye, NY Strip, Pork Ribeye, Salmon or Loaded Chicken Steak). Their trying to switch their image from bar to restaurant. I'd say bar is fine as long as the food and drinks are good. We started off with the Flat Fried Pickles (8 long pieces) which is fresh, whole pickles sliced by hand, long and flat then hand-breaded and deep-fried. Tangy and really good with the chipotle ranch dressing for dipping. Lunch/Dinner for my husband was the Grilled Tenderloin with Cajun Coin Fries. The tenderloin was slightly larger than the bun so it wasn't abused, seasoned well and very tender. The generous portion of Coin fries had a decent amount of seasoning but were just a bit overcooked for our liking. Still very edible, just crispier than we care for. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich with Chicken Enchiladas Soup. I was pleasantly surprised how juicy and tender my sandwich was. I love Cajun seasoning which was generous and the pepper jack cheese complimented the cajun seasoning nicely. The Chicken Enchilada Soup, my side, was full of corn, black beans, chicken, spice and had just a hint of heat. Very enjoyable on a nasty, dreary night. Our server, David, did a nice job taking care of us. We had a slight hiccup in the beginning with the pasta dinner special being changed from what was listed on the board by the entrance. We waited till 5 p.m. so we could order the special only to find when he rang it in the kitchen had changed. Extremely disappointed but I did enjoy my sandwich and soup. Great bar to meet friends for drinks, watch a sporting event, shoot some pool and have a solid meal. read more

Traveling for work tried something new. The food was good and casual bar atmosphere was nice. Server was amazing!

I started coming here a year ago with my husbands work friends and it's always a great time, good service, and open tables most of the time! I have came here on a Friday and Saturday nights to play pool and it's usually pretty busy, loud music, but still good service and drinks. They have a menu of a variety of options but I've only had the mozzarella sticks ( very good). Pool is $1 a game and they have 3 pool tables. They also have deals every night Monday: gyros with a side $9.99 Tuesday: tenderloin steak with a side 16.99 ($1 off) after 5 Wednesday: $2.00 off boneless wings Thursday: $1.00 off 3 little pigs Friday:$1.00 off fish and chips Saturday: steak with 2 sides $16.99 after 5 Sunday: 16'in 2 topping pizza & 12 wings $5.00 off read more

Food was great. Had lots of TVs around to watch many different games. I'll be back again.

While visiting a friend in the hospital, I wanted to grab something for an early dinner. Trader's Mill was just across 86th, so I decided to give it a try. They share a large parking lot, so finding a spot was easy. The interior is kept kind of dark even though it was sunny outside. I was directed to seat myself anywhere I liked, so I grabbed a spot at the bar since I was dining alone. Service was quick and efficient throughout the meal. I ordered a breaded tenderloin with the works and upgraded to the onion rings. The tenderloin was typical Hoosier style..too thin and too large for a bun. But, it was still moist inside instead of being overcooked. The breading had little flavor while hot (I got a to go box and noticed the flavor was more noticeable after the sandwich had gotten cold.) When I finally got to where the bun and other toppings could help, the sandwich definitely tasted better. The onion rings were thin and crispy on the outside and easy to bite through. (I hate when old onions with thick membranes between layers don't get cooked through!) Excellent job on the ring preparation! The breading was light and golden brown. Really couldn't ask for better! Since I wanted to get back over to the hospital, I passed on trying their beer selections and was on my way within 45 minutes. Review #1210 read more

He ordered mozzarella sticks which looked pretty good and I ordered a brownie sundae which was much bigger than I expected and wasn't any good... The brownie was so dry and the ice cream was cold but flavorless. I liked how sweet the Love Potion cocktail was.
