    Tenderloin chips

If you're looking for a quaint bar with good food, this is it! Bert and Den's had a cozy feel, great drinks, and awesome service. We had the tenderloin chips, chili burger, and chicken Parmesan sandwich which were all great! As an added bonus, they have karaoke on Friday nights from 9-12!

We have driven by here on the way to the AMC and have see live music outside. We wanted tenderloins so popped in to get in a to-go order after our movie. They made both fresh and it came with home made potato chips that were a cross between fries and chips. They were excellent even after our 20 min ride home. I did wait a bit to place my order and it did take a bit to come out, but it was hot and fresh. I am not sure we will stop to eat there since we are wanting to get home after our long day at the movies, but do think we will keep it in mind for a to-go order. I may call next time to see if we can order before we leave the theatre. It takes us time to pack up the wheelchair. The tenderloin was large and I liked it. It's not the best I have had, but it was good and we were both happy with it.

I hadn't been to this restaurant/pub for a few years, so I decided to stop in for lunch to see what was new. In short, not much. They still have plenty of outdoor seating for visitors to enjoy during nice weather. They still have a small table seating area with about a dozen seats at the bar (3 way liquor license, so you can get the hard stuff.) They have a music machine and a pull tab dispenser near the door. I was by myself and chose to sit at the bar since the only other customers were there too. They do have table service, but I figured it was easier and would get better service if I was conveniently seated. I did get a menu and my beverage promptly. And the woman who took my order got the order right and processed quickly. So, after just a short wait, I got my mushroom burger with an upgrade from chips to fries. The sandwich came fully loaded as ordered and the mushrooms were generously portioned. The other ingredients were also fresh. But the burger was not that great. It was roughly a half pound burger, which would normally allow for the grill to get nice and hot to provide a tasty char to the outside. And some of the middle was still pink which can be risky depending upon the place you get it. And with all the ingredients loaded on the sandwich, I didn't think I would be able to have it re-fired. The shoestring fries were plentiful, but were unseasoned. So, by the time they arrived, the salt I added from the shaker fell off. I had to season my ketchup to get more flavor. Overall, it was an affordable meal that was generous in quantity, but a bit underwhelming in flavor. The service was thoughtful and attentive without being intrusive. So, just an A-O-K from me. This is a family bar. The lady who had owned it is Roberta, she passed away of breast cancer. A new woman Jennifer took it and continued the amazing family atmosphere. EVERYONE knows everyone. The food everything on the menu and more... You have a hankering.... Nate will cook it and not just cook it... but fancy diner review cook it. Wings are exceptional... pizzas are ridiculous. I got a BBQ pizza once or twice... omy shit yummy!! Get to Bert's and experience the new, the family, neighborhood good that's out there!! You will become family too.... God rest Bert, Jimmy, Joe, Charlie and Stan are all watching with pride!!

Under - cooked everything is there new special.....

Bert And Den's "deluxe"service was typical. Ownership, I assume, were on site and inspected the undercooked chicken and confirmed her opinion of government mandated temperature acceptance, "RED ON the bone, those are done. Next time, ask for WELL DONE!". No thanks, how about, at least cooked.

This is their pizza and cheese bread. Everything is black and inedible. The kicker is they had 2 customers in the whole place.

Absolutely horrible - black inedible pizza and cheese bread. Don't waste your time or money

Friendly employees. Good food. TV's for sports. Not a big space but that's a plus. Small clean cozy establishment.

They had the door open, which was letting in the fresh almost-spring air.) Drinks are pretty much all they have at Snug, to be honest. Don't visit thinking you're going to find a meal, because they don't have a lot of food beyond locally made hand pies and empanadas, a grazing board, and something called Snug Nuts. (Which brings to mind certain ... images.) I didn't get any food, just a Road & Coke, which is a whiskey with a Coke and lime, similar to a Cuba libre, although a Cuba uses rum. It was delicious, but a little light on the booze. It was only $5 and change, though, so it's kind of like what do you expect, really. It was a nice drink to sip slowly while I sat in the small, cozy bar. Speaking of bar aesthetics: Snug lives up to its name. It's tiny and dark but inviting. It feels like stepping into a hug. A hug that can also provide you with copious amounts of Irish whiskey, which sounds like the best kind of hug, to me.

Plus, they had a few vegan choices for me (highly caloric, not super healthy, but still, they had more than one choice, and vegan offerings that weren't salads). They even had three tasty mocktails and some alcohol-free beers (since I don't do booze anymore either)! The veggie burger came with a squishy bean patty, with peas in it -- not my fave texture or flavor but tolerable -- and a tahini sauce... but they barely put any sauce on it. A gourmet, no-high-fructose-corn-syrup ketchup or tomato jam might have been better, or at least more of the tahini. It did come with a nice pile o' crunchy pickles (love) and a lovely green salad with balsamic dressing (way too many carrots). Service was fast and friendly. Ambience is upscale bar, with fun and interesting murals on the walls -- they had a terrific music playlist going, and the Hubbins and I ended up kind of dancing in place without realizing it. Public parking lot directly across the street meant we didn't get soaked by the rainstorm, and didn't have to drive around forever dealing with construction, looking for a parking spot. A nice, easy option for dinner with the fam without having to work/think too hard about it -- something to suit all of our varied diets.
