We've embarked on the Hamilton County Tenderloin Trail this July and Wolfiea in Geist was our 1st stop. 4 of us are doing the trail this year and each of us got the Tenderloin Sliders with fries. Two of us added a side wedge salad We were very satisfied. The sliders are just the right size, easily manageable and the taste was excellent. The breading could have been a tad more crisp, but it was fine. The buns were a tad larger that the tenderloin, but we were happy with the portions. There are 3 sliders with the combo and we actually split two order among the 4 of us. Adding the salad was wise as we all were quite satisfied One order came with fires and we had the onion 'straws' with the other. The variety was nice and made us enjoy the total order better. Our server was great and made sure we got our Tenderloin Trail discount up front. Couldn't have been more accommodating! We sat inside as it was miserably hot and humid outside. The indoor seating was nice and pleasant. We were surprise that the restaurant wasn't busier on the night we were there, but we heard that the turnout for other places was lower on that night due to the heat. Took my lunch partner out for an early birthday lunch at Wolfies for a good meal with a nice water view. We started with the crab cakes... Sorry no pic of those as we were all hungry and dug right in. These were good. Not the best I've had, but I'm originally from a coastal state, so tough bar to reach. One in our party had the fish and chips. She said they were good, nice and hot. Breading was a little thick, but tasty. Another in our party had the baja shrimp tacos along with the jalapeño creamed corn. Said both were very good. I tasted the creamed corn and it was excellent Finally I had the Wolfpack Supreme pizza. Very tasty, fresh toppings and very crispy crust. Could have used just a bit more sauce for my taste, but was still excellent. Parking was easy and the view was worth the trip. Got together with some friends from our car club. Had some great appetizers and dinners as we socialized on this rainy night. Staff was able to find us a table for 10 people in the corner even though they don't take reservations. Since it was a rainy night and we were placed in a corner which normally would be great views, it was still very easy to talk to each other and interact. As we gathered and trickled in, our waitress was very attentive to our food and drink needs and did a great job. Everyone around me had orders that turned out wonderful. My beer, chicken wings with dry rub with hot honey and blue cheese dips was yummy. My Fiesta Lime Smothered chicken was also very tasty. Better than I expected. Couldn't finish it so I had a good lunch the next day. My wife enjoyed her Cobb salad. Firehouse Cheese sticks were excellent even though I am almost certain they are NOT good for you. Popped in on a Friday night and was very happy with most of the food items. The pork nachos were a great appetizer. The Brussel sprouts are delicious. The country fried steak was so good, and the portions were crazy big. The service was fine, only a few small hiccups The patio area looked very cozy with the fire. One issue I had was the cleanliness of the bathroom- that should definitely be being cleaned more frequently. Our family decided to stop in here for a birthday dinner and overall we liked it a lot! The stars of the show were: the steak and the Philly Cheesesteak. This was my second visit to Wolfie's in Geist. I was here last year for a Halloween event and loved the location and the vibe. It was not as pleasant outside (in late October) as it was this visit so we were able to enjoy the atmosphere outdoors this time. It's fun and beautiful to see all the boats on the water as the sun is setting. The food is pretty good and quite reasonable --especially considering the waterfront views and live music! I had the Brussel sprouts and Blackened Chicken Southwest Salad which were both delicious. The hostesses are very sweet and accommodating. Our server was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly considering how packed it was on a Friday night. They don't reserve tables through Open Table but we were still able to be seated on the patio right away after peak dinner rush around 9pm. My only complaints are 1: that there were only TWO (somewhat disgruntled) bartenders for the ENTIRE outside beer garden. The place was packed so the lines were loooong to order a drink outside. Secondly there is VERY limited seating in the beer garden despite being a pretty big space with the capacity for a lot of people. Looking forward to trying the other Wolfie's locations soon. read more

Above average bar food, well served, with decent happy hour options! Wolfies Geist has a sports bar vibe (Based on other Indy-area Wolfies location, that is the goal). The bar team of Brittany and Evan were professional and pleasant. I was happy to see Evan wiping down the bar top and keeping it in order (basic food service... keeping it clean). I had my usual Manhattan along with Brussel Sprouts and Fish & Chips. The fish was hot, crispy and flavorful. I will def return for Happy Hour, on future Indy work trips. read more

First time in, figured we would give it a try. He started with a dirty martini and I had water. I was driving so no drinking ... be responsible I ordered the Cobb salad and he ordered the blue pecan side salad and we shared the hot honey pepperoni pizza. Food was great! Food came fast. Salad was huge I took half of it home. Pizza was delicious and crust was great. Not too crisp but not doughy. His pecan salad was really tasty. The martini wasn't as good. We've made better, no disrespect. It just wasn't really tasty and seemed a bit watered down. Hostess area was really nice. All welcoming and friendly. The server seemed very busy and in a rush so didn't catch a name and he was nice but wasn't exactly welcoming, just kind of there working. The bar area or something like an outside enclosed area was ehh loud and too many conversations echoed so I would have opted to sit elsewhere. Not sure I'll go back: food was good though. Just wish the person who took our order was not in a hurry and maybe had more personality. Would have given the 5 just didn't feel right since social interaction with servers is important. My better half still tipped well I just don't want anyone to think he was punished for it. We always tip no matter what because it's still their livelihood. read more

I hosted guests from Arizona for the Wolfies Grill experience. We decided on the Geist location for the view and ambiance. It was a chilly Fall night and our party of four choose the enclosed patio. Our fantastic server was Karly. She was more of a guide of the menu than server. She is definitely someone I would request by name on a future visit. We decided on onion rings as our appetizer. Delicious recommendation. Everyone's entree was well-seasoned, a good temperature and tasty! The wine list is okay. Our resident wine experts, thought the wine list needed more selections. Wolfies Grill-Geist is a fantastic venue on the Geist Reservoir that serves excellent food and cocktails. It is a huge restaurant that has an outdoor stage and deck with an outdoor bar for entertainment and live music. I want to see Stella Luna and the Satellites Friday night for live music on the outdoor deck and it was very entertaining. I do not know how I have not been to Wolfie's Grill Geist before, because this is an excellent restaurant and a great venue for live music. The food is high quality and top notch, especially the hot honey pepperoni pizza. The buffalo chicken nachos are also superb. The staff are terrific and very professional. They are on top of everything and do not miss a beat when it comes to drinks and refills on water. I have found my new hot spot in Indy, because who does not want to have dinner on a gorgeous patio overlooking the Geist Reservoir. This is absolutely breathtaking on a gorgeous day, and can be considered romantic if you bring that special someone here for dinner. Wolfies Grill-Geist is an amazing restaurant. Everyone should take the opportunity to dine here for lunch or dinner, because it is worth the view of the Geist Reservoir. We met a party of ten. We were welcomed right away by a friendly, smiling wait staff member. The real reason for good stars at all. I ordered a Kim Crawford savigon blanc. It was old and tasted like I was poured a Chardonnay. I left it. It was by the way a 4-6 oz pour We eat at Wolfies on 96th st and the wine there is fresh and a generous pour. As a matter of fact I ordered shrimp tacos on 96th. They were blackened in soft flour taco with good seasoning At Geist the shrimp were thawed out raw shrimp. No seasoning piled on top of Guacamole. Looked like a teaspoon slopped into a hard flour cold taco shell. My husband got Maui-Maui. Same thing at 96 th it was grilled and crisp served warm over warm rice with salsa. This fish was barely cooked. No brown on cold rice My husband and I left our food. Since we were a group we didn't complain. While leaving 3 others complained about how bad the food was The service was wonderful and as I started earlier the representative who waited on us was outstanding. We've been here MANY times before and it's always good! Was pretty empty today, just a few people, but comfortable. We got the Jalapeño cheese sticks for aps, interesting and delicious! My Mom got the fish and chips and said the fish was just a little too fishy tasting. I got the country fried chicken with pepper gravy. Both were perfectly fried and crispy and THAT is what's important. My chicken came with Jalapeño creamed corn, wasn't for me but my Mom loved it. We couldn't resist taking out if town friends to the Wolfies with a view! 7pm dinner time so we could enjoy the view of the water. The only negative ... glad I had a jacket! A little chilly sitting by the window. Our server, Karly, was delightful and very honest about her recommendations. Service was reasonably quick (not a huge crowd on a Monday evening, we were seated immediately - thank you Daniel). Food was good. Atmosphere was good. I wouldn't go for the wine list as it was limited. And they don't take reservations, so be prepared in nice weather on a weekend to wait a bit. EVERY TIME I eat here I want fish and chips. Has potential to be outstanding but, it is soooo greasy that the bottom of the fish/ breading is soggy with oil. I keep hoping it is a one-off situation but, it is literally every single time, and we eat here at least twice a month. Same with the Fisher's location. Maybe get better oil? Drain fish off more before plating? Put fish on a piece of bread to soak up the excess grease? Not sure but they really need to figure it out. read more

I went here on a Friday night at 6:30 and this place is apparently the place to be, it was already packed, (I would advise coming earlier if possible) luckily I was meeting with a group and we had reservations, there was still a 10 min wait but we were soon seated outside. This restaurant sits right off the Geist Reservoir which is a perfect location and quite scenic. I ordered the Peanut Buttercup Martin and it was delicious, like a dessert in a glass! I also had the Baja Shrimp Tacos with a side of broccoli and both was very good. We were a party of 12 and our server did a great job accommodating all of us. We then moved down to the lower deck where a live band playing (Foxxy & Friends) and they were really good, full of energy and played a variety of music. Good service, went around 4pm on thurs, pretty slow. This is where Bella vita used to be. It sits on the Geist marina. The menu is decent. I got the blackened shrimp tacos. We met some friends for dinner and were seated on the patio with no wait. The place is directly on the water and we watched boats come in and go out. Very cool setting. We ordered some drinks and they were very good. I had the fish and chips as the waiter said they were very popular. Have to say they were not great. A little soggy and I found a piece of Saran Wrap in the last one on the last bite. But not a huge deal. Everyone else liked their dishes. The table had the club sandwich, pan seared chicken, shrimp tacos and tossed wings. Overall a very good meal and it was very affordable. Would go back again if we are ever in the area. read more
