This place has excellent customer service. I was walking by when I decided to go in for takeout. There was a young lady outside cleaning the windows and when I walked in she immediately stopped to come in and wait on me. I told her she could finish doing what she was doing because I was undecided. She insisted that it wasn't a problem and stayed and answered all my questions. I decided on honey garlic wings, fries, and a sweet tea. . The honey garlic wings had excellent flavor and the sweet tea was good. The fries lacked flavor and tasted stale. I will definitely be back. for more wings but will be passing on the fries.

Best place In town to cheer on the Hoosier! Great food and energetic atmosphere. Ask for the #1 Hoosier server- Dakota!!

Love the local environment. Captures a lot of IU sports history

BuffaLouie's is a hidden spot! I have been living here for 5 years and never knew this place existed! The atmosphere is full of energy and feels like a true hometown spot, especially with all the incredible IU sports memorabilia covering the walls. t's like a walk through Hoosiers history while you enjoy your meal. The waitresses were extremely attentive and made sure we were taken care of the entire time without ever feeling rushed. You can tell they really care about the customer experience. The food was fantastic, but what really stood out was how welcoming and fun the whole environment was. Whether you're a die-hard Indiana fan or just looking for a laid-back spot with great service, BuffaLouie's hits all the right notes. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the Carmel area!

This is an awesome spot located in the heart of a trendy section of Carmel. You will find a public parking lot with 3 hour parking in the back and street parking is also available. You can enter the restaurant from the front or back door. The place has a very nice fenced in patio in the back with a bunch of tables and chairs with heaters. Inside, you will find a small bar area with seating. The dining area is modest and there are televisions all over the place. It makes an awesome sports bar. The restaurant is decorated with IU and Indiana memorabilia. What really sets this place apart from other places that I have visited is its staff. They are awesome. They were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The best I have experienced in a long time. The restaurant is known for their wings, but they also serve salads, chicken tenders, burgers, chicken sandwiches and subs. I ordered 10 wings (5 Rasta Jerk/5 Honey Garlic with a side of fries. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food and the place was busy. My food was fresh and hot. It was also delicious. I liked the Rasta Jerk the best, but it was close though. I cannot stress enough that I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch. I am really high on this place and highly recommend it. They have some delicious food and you would be hard pressed to find better service. I hope to make it back here soon.

I was excited to see Buffa Louies open near Indy since it's such a Bloomington staple. The wings were just as I remembered. I went with hot buffalo, hot garlic, and Rasta jerk and all had unique and delicious flavors. The decor brings a nice touch of IU Bloomington to Carmel with memorabilia covering the walls, which added to the experience. If you're in the mood for flavorful wings and some Hoosier nostalgia, it's definitely worth checking out!

Buffalo Chicken Salad with hot garlic crunchy chicken

Visited BuffaLouies for lunch today. I really wanted to like it but they fell short of my expectations. First off, our waitress Grace was very nice and pleasant. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad with hot garlic crispy chicken toppings. There were more croutons than chicken on my salad and the chicken present barely had any hot garlic sauce coating. I've had much better Buffalo Chicken salads for less at both Chilis and District Tap. If I do give them a second try, I will be ordering something different . Sorry but I was not impressed.

I always loved the South Bend Chocolate Company that used to be in this space, but apparently I was the only one who loved it, since they abandoned this location. The wings were not bad. Not spectacular, but not bad. I found them to be a little on the small-ish side. I like my restaurant wings to be bigger and plumper than what I can make at home. Half of my order was drumsticks, and half were wings. The drums were particularly small. Service: We sat at the bar in the back of the restaurant. Service was a little slow. They forgot our order of fries entirely, and there were no napkins or paper towels remaining on any of the rolls at the bar. I shouldn't have to beg for napkins at a wing joint. Things can get messy very quickly. Ambiance: It's a prime location in the heart of Main Street in downtown Carmel. It was, however, very loud inside. When the background noise in a restaurant averages 80+ decibels, you end up communicating with your spouse (sitting next to you) using a series of hand signals and even text messages. It wasn't horrible, but be prepared to yell if you come during prime dinner hours. I'm glad there is a dedicated wing place in downtown Carmel, but I I guess I was hoping for a home run instead of just a base hit.

We showed up on Saturday to try the new place! We didn't realize IU was playing, but we were quoted a 30 minute wait. We saw multiple people clearly saving tables.. (an 8 top with 2 people sitting at it). So we were prepared there was going to be a huge bottleneck in the kitchen. We ended up having to wait an hour. Upon getting seated, we had a great waitress who seemed a bit overwhelmed. Understandable. We ordered the loaded fries and 20 boneless wings. Our food actually came relatively quick, which was nice. The loaded fries were odd. It was clearly 2 different fries- one were seasoned and in an s shape, the other were unseasoned and curly fries. We weren't really sure if this was done on purpose or not. They were fine, lukewarm. The wings were good. We liked the sauce - buffalo TNT, and hot Q bbq. For a $50 meal, I'm not 100% sure if it was worth it.

Unfortunately the prior reviews are all pretty accurate. Very expensive for very average food. I was excited to try because my boyfriend went to IU and so when he saw they opened a location in Carmel, we figured we should give it a try. We came in on a Thursday night and the place was dead, maybe only one other couple there. Our food came out so quick, almost too quick? It was hot though so no issues there. I enjoyed the fried pickles a lot and the fries were pretty good as well! The buffalo chicken salad was ok. There were some wilted leaves in the lettuce and the chicken was just so much breading, no chicken really. The ranch was also so thick, definitely was not drizzling over the salad haha. Our bill was over $70. The Louis lemonade came in the tiniest cup for $11 so definitely would recommend getting a beer and not a cocktail! Wanted to love it but probably won't be back.

We tried Buffa Louie's last weekend and overall it was a good experience. Service was excellent, the waitresses were so kind, fast and friendly. The food was good, it wasn't anything I'd run to tell people they needed to try. It was clean inside decked out in IU decor. It was good quick meal

Three members of our group ordered Chicken Alfredo, and all said that it was very dry with so little sauce that it looked like no sauce at all. Two requested extra sauce from our server and one just didn't eat hers at all. It took quite some time for someone from the kitchen to bring the extra sauce, by which time the others had finished eating. They were all charged for the extra sauce, even though it had been missing from their entrées. The server hadn't checked back with us or offered refills. Two in our group ordered salads, and they were happy with them. I observed two employees sitting on a bench, having a conversation while it appeared that tables needed to be bussed and cleaned. We waited a long time for our server to bring our checks, and then longer for our payments to be taken. I also had a recent experience with a carry out order where some of the items I had ordered were missing when I picked up the food, even though I had been charged for them. I was picking up an order to take to work so I didn't have time to return and pick up the items missing from the order. Crafters has a great atmosphere but improvement is needed in both food and service.

Sarah, our server was phenomenal and a true ambassador for Upland. She told us that Upland started in Bloomington and, now, there are five locations in Indy area. The food is locally sourced and Upland supports the community. She stands by all of their food! We ordered off the Devour menu so we could try a variety of foods. We didn't have a craft beer because it was early in the day, even for me. We started with the Spinach Artichoke Dip, which is large and shareable. The dip is delicious with lots of artichoke. The dip comes with really fresh blue tortilla chips and toasted pita bread. The portion was so generous that we took half home. For entree, I had the Blackened Salmon BLT sandwich with blue cheese slaw. The salmon was a large portion of fresh, perfectly cooked fish. There was thick sliced bacon on top with lettuce and tomato. A spicy aioli sauce was on the salmon. The sandwich was fabulous and I would highly recommend. If you like blue cheese, you will like the blue cheese slaw. The slaw is fresh and tangy. My husband had Bad Elmer's Fav burger with fries. His immense 1/2 pound burger was perfectly cooked medium rare (as ordered). He raved how good the meat tasted. The burger was topped with two slices of thick cut bacon, cheddar cheese, lettuce and tomato. His fries were excellent, large and crispy (I ate half of his fries). We took the Chocolate Brownie dessert home. They had packaged the caramel and whip cream separately, so it was easy to assemble. The brownie is really rich and chocolaty. We loved the dessert. Sarah was kind and proactively brought boxes out for us to package leftovers. She thanked us for coming. The service is amazing. The bartender showed me the Happy Hour menu. From 3:00 - 5:00, beers and sliders are $4 to name a few of the great deals. In addition, a featured daily beer is special priced. Growlers are discounted on Wednesdays and Sundays. Television monitors are playing various sporting events. Parking is available towards the rear of the restaurant. We did not find close parking early on a Thursday morning. I highly recommend. I'll be back for Happy Hour. This is an easy 5 stars.

When ordering them off the appetizer menu, we asked for there to be a delay so we could finish them before receiving our entrees. There was about 2 minutes between receiving the appetizer and entrees coming out, which was disappointing. The pot roast was 80% fat and while the mashed potatoes were good, the broccoli was raw, sitting in water, with no seasoning. With no gravy or au jus (surprising for pot roast), the meat was not tender. My husband, who will eat just about anything and is rarely critical about any food, said his chicken florentine was very dry and his broccoli was also raw and unseasoned. He also said this place tasted like the worst cooks in America show opened a restaurant. The crème brûlée was pretty good, it's a mini for $5, the only saving grace for a second star. I told our waitress about the food experience but other than replacing the broccoli with equally bad broccoli, nothing was done, not even an apology, and she was MIA for most of our visit, despite the restaurant not being busy...at all. Honestly, I have no idea how this place stays open. The concept is cool, but there's a lot of "stuff" all around that's collecting dust, and with food this bad, it's not worth your time, money, or calories.
