While waiting for my connection flight, I ordered a Margherita pizza and got a chicken Caesar salad for dinner. It's funny, when I ordered at counter, the lady said they didn't have any salads. There were premade salads where the beverages were!!Not to be a smarty pants, but I grabbed a salad and said "I guess you actually do have salads." She looked disinterested, a very unhappy worker who couldn't even crack a smile. It's obvious she is in the wrong line of work... The pizza was freshly made in a brick oven and was delicious. It has been a few decades since I've had a Wolfgang Puck pizza. The salad was very fresh, the chicken breast tender, and the dressing better than what I've had at other restaurants. Worst pizza i've ever had. Premade, not fresh, rubbery, cold, soggy and gross. Don't let the "pizza oven" fool you. It's there for looks and to "reheat" premade pizzas. If you try and order a fresh pizza they tell you it will take an half hour. They do this to discourage you from ordering a fresh pie as the oven is set on low to reheat premade pizzas that look like they've been sitting out way to long. 24 bucks for a 12 inch food court quality pizza. Last month, we stopped in here on our way to California and just had a couple of drinks. The drinks were good, but you can't really mess up whiskey when it served neat. This time, we actually stopped for by to eat and changed up the drinks from whiskey to bloody Marias. We ordered an Italian pizza, which cut up into about 6 slices and was covered with calabrian chilies red onions pepperoni and fresh basil. I have to admit, it was pretty good. The bartender Dan was very friendly and gave us his recommendation, and he was also very attentive to the other guests. We like him! The space overall is easy to get to and hang out in between your flights or convenient for a quick walk in/out for snacks n beverages. You can sit down or carry out everything from M&M's to an Italian Chicago-style thin crust pizza. It is located in concourse C next to the Jamba Juice. Come in and grab what you need before your next flight. Try the pizza and talk to the bartender Dan about Led Zeppelin...wink wink. He'll get you set up right! Just be prepared for airport prices, which is the only reason I gave 3 stars. read more

After the second delay on our evening flight, we decided it was probably time to grab some dinner and given that this restaurant is located very near gate B6, it worked out very well! Their offerings included soup, sandwiches and brick oven pizzas that were surprisingly good. Me and a buddy shared a bowl of butternut squash soup as well as a mushroom and truffle pizza. Both were very good, but the fact that the two of those with a couple of pops came to about $30 was a bit off putting. C'est la vie in the O'Hare airport. The pizza was not overly large, but had six decent size pieces and was very flavorful for having been made in an airport. The brick oven they are cooking it in was actually pretty legit and got things done pretty quickly. The biggest down in here was the price on the pizza. It was $13.99 for a pizza that probably should've been like half that price. I am all for the supply demand curve, but the supply of food in the airport is rather high so I feel like the prices to come down a bit. That said, they know I'm a captive audience. Definitely first world problems. The butternut squash soup was also very good. Very creamy and pretty filling. It was nice to be able to dip the excess crust in the soup. The pizza and soup was plenty for a couple of us, but I stated previously the bill for a pretty small meal was a little excessive. They're definitely stressing the bounds of what people are willing to pay for slightly above average food, but that said we gladly give them more money. There's a nice bar to sit out here with plenty of beer options as well as a couple TVs. Not a bad place to spend a half an hour if you're otherwise going to be sitting at my gate. The good spot to go, especially if you have any airlines archer to help make the bill a little more palatable. read more

This is one of the worst places to eat at O'Hare. The staff are downright rude, the process from order to pay to pickup is incredibly confusing. Many people wait 15 minutes for pizza that is already ready and handed to someone behind you in line. If you MUST eat pizza at O'Hare it may be better service to go to Uno or Reggios. This location has the worst customer service. The gentleman making pizzas tonight could care less about the people who pay his check. We noticed they left an ingredient off of our pizza and asked about it. He proceeded to put the ingredient on, which should be cooked, and said, "Here you go." I asked for the manager and explained what happened. She said she would talk to him. While we're sitting there I could hear him complaining about me saying anything. Then we stand up to leave, he points at my daughter, gives her the evil eye and starts snickering with another employee. I went back up to the manager and asked what was going on. All she could say was, "He's unbelievable." I'm sorry if you don't like your job in customer service, it's not my fault that you work there and don't like it. Ole Wolfgang seems to have tattooed his name on a lot of stuff lately. The other day at Sam's Club I noticed a cheap culinary knife set brandishing his stamp.Whether or not the WP brand has diluted itself into the mainstream likely doesn't have much influence on this restaurant. Unfortunately, airports tend to rely on a customer base that doesn't go out of it's way to come visit again. Passengers are usually concerned about getting their food and then getting on their way so restaurants often need to accommodate a rushed crowd that isn't there to savor and chill. For that I won't measure this Wolfgang Puck with the same stick as a regular WP location. Recommendations: My first recommendation if you're sitting down to eat prior to a connecting flight is to refill your water. Often people don't realize how dehydrated they become when flying and not all flight attendants are generous with water. Aircraft also often contain limited supplies. I know this because I'm a veteran airline pilot. My second recommendation is the chicken Caesar salad. It's good, it's healthy, and of the half a dozen or so restaurants in Terminal 3 that carry it theirs is one of the better ones. I noticed a bad review on the salads but have personally always had good experiences when it comes to freshness. I've also tried some of the other menu choices and none have ever been bad. What I don't recommend: Anything oily or heavy. An upset stomach and turbulence don't mix well. The wait staff I've encountered here are adept at getting food out quickly and offering the check so you can be on your way. Other FYI: This restaurant is across from Gate K-1 in Terminal 3. It feels more open than the food court. If you are flying out of a high K gate (K-12-K to K-20) there's a WP Express there. If you're flying out of a high H or G gate allow yourself close to 10 minutes of walking time so that you don't miss your flight. read more

I waited for another minute in line feeling sorry for the employees who are left to repeatedly explain a poorly planned system. I decided there were already too many transgressions without having to pay to find out what the next one might be, so I moved on. For airport food this is the best that I've ever had! Seriously. Yes, it's semi-expensive airport food, but actually when I compare the price to one of my typical downtown lunch places it's actually only about a buck more (or another way to look at it is it's missing that side salad or soup or fries). The portion sizes, in my opinion, were great for the pizza and sandwich for the price. My "co-pilot" and I split a wood fired margharita pizza and an Italian bistro sandwich. Both were absolutely scrumptiously delicious. The cheese on the pizza was oooey-gooey and the crust was to die for. Luv ya Wolfgang Puck. Just as if I were at the restaurant at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas. Absolutely delightful. I was a bad Yelper. Violated my own rule. I took no pics of my food. (Gasp!) The pizza simply smelled too good. I had already washed my hands. I didn't want to reach for my iPhone. I simply just wanted bite after bite of the straight from the wood fired oven pizza. Then alternate bites of the sandwich. Both just made my mouth and my tummy happy. The meal also cured my upset stomach from the turbulent flight. Sadly, it may have forever ruined me for all future airport food. I've always avoided airport food like the plague and now they have an extremely high tastebud standard to live up to. Busy place here in the United terminal by B6 and the TSA checkpoint but they got a good handle on everything. Breakfast made in front of you. I had the sandwich. Was cooked perfectly despite the cook juggling 4 meals at the same time and the three giggling idiots behind me who could not decide if their breakfast was for-here to to-go. Potatoes with the breakfast were really good. If you order to-go, don't forget your napkin and fork (like I did) or you will eat your potatoes with your hands (like I did). If you're looking for a more relaxed sit-down alternative to quick serve or fast food This is a decent alternative. The service is attentive and the food is above average airport food. I had a bowl of tortilla soup as a starter. It was freshly prepared and had nice garnishes of cilantro, avocado and goat cheese. The broth was a little too tomatoey and thick, but it worked. For my main I had the teriyaki glazed salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans. The salmon was dry, but the teriyaki sauce was good and had lots if fresh ginger in it. The potatoes were good and the green beans were tender-crisp. Linens and china plates make you forget you've been crammed into a plane for hours. read more

I am absolutely disgusted with the poor customer service lacking at your establishment located at Ohare Terminal one. I could not agree more with previous customers complaining about their employees snickering at the customers. They fail to realize that their biggest clientele is all employees at Ohare. Two weeks ago , I ordered a fresh pizza and was asked to wait 15 minutes. Much to my dismay, the pizza was ready after 35 minutes. Not what I was expecting from a Wolfgang puck restaurant. They use frozen hamburger patties for a $13 burger? No temperature choice? The wood fired pizza was ok, but the ingredients were not worth $17 for a personal pizza. Half cut cherry tomatoes are a bit big for pizza topping. The shrimp was tough. Drinks were simple but they charge like they were made of gold leaf. (Btw, drink menu had no prices so I had that coming, the whole if you have to ask it's too much snobbery) The simple gin and ginger was almost the cost of the pizza for something served up in a regular small cocktail glass. Quite possibly the worst looking and tasting mushroom cheese and some sort of cream sauce with 4 limp wilted arugula(?) leaves on top pizza ever. A third of the crust had been burned around the edges and they had trimmed it off before serving. Still plenty of charred crust remained however. I'd have sent it back but was pressed for time so salvaged what I could. Ick ick Ick. Service was slooooooow. So we sit down and just as soon as we're about to eat the bar tender asks me for my ID I didn't even order a drink.
