I did my EXTENSIVE research and after speaking with the owner of A to B Movers, they were my choice. I was anticipating a 6 hour day including drive time between Scottsdale and Mesa. I was told the crew would call before their arrival and they should arrive close to 8 am. I received my call at 7:45 and they were parked out front by 8:00. I gave them a brief tour of what I wanted done including taking apart beds and removing mirrors from dressers. Also an outdoor storage shed that hadn't see light in 6 years, so extremely dusty. The 2 guys used saran wrap and moving pads to cover all the furniture to avoid any chance of damage. Every lamp and picture was wrapped in a pad to protect all possessions. I have moved several times in my life and never have I seen such care being given to my valuables. To my surprise they had the truck loaded and we were ready to leave by 9:15. There was an elevator at the new apartment but it was an independent Senior housing apartment, so people tend to move slower than most. I was asked where I wanted every piece of furniture they brought it and it was placed correctly so I had to move nothing. Even with the fighting over the elevator and the reassembling of the bed and mirror, the 2 man crew were done in a total of 3 hours....UNBELIEVABLE! Those 2 guys never took a break. I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon but if I do I am calling A To B Movers. What an amazing company. Many of the previous quotes I received were up to $1800 for the same service I was requesting here. My total cost, which included the truck, 2 man crew, fuel, packing materials like pads and saran wrap was under $500.00. No hidden fees or surprises at the end. I needed to get my household goods out of their storage quickly to stop the situation from getting worse. Just-In Time Moving was gracious enough to fit me into their schedule last minute. Their office was communicative, their estimate was thorough and clear, and the final bill matched what they estimated. The crew showed up on time, communicated throughout the day, and was professional, careful, and kind. This was not a simple move. They had to unload my furniture and belongings from storage crates, unwrap items that had been wrapped by the prior mover, take care with everything, rewrap my furniture, load it, transport it, and unload it into my new storage unit. They completed the entire job in 7.5 hours. By comparison, the prior mover had tried to bill me 16.5 hours for the move into storage alone. We filed a claim, since this was a brand new dresser and it's unsafe to have in our baby's room. We were denied because we did not inform the movers it was broken before they left the premises in AZ, but to know it was broken we would have had to been able to inspect all the furniture in the truck which is impossible to do when it's loaded. Plus, if the movers knew they broke it, we should have been notified by them. Getting a response from our claim agent takes multiple follow ups, where they tell me the same information and do not answer any of my follow-up questions, despite telling me to reach back out if I have any questions. Moving is always a stressful time, and now we have the added stress of trying to receive some compensation so we can replace furniture that was knowingly broken.
