The view

Great location with a spacious patio and amazing view! Quick friendly servers. Good food and drink selection. The falafel wrap was delicious.

Sunset view--the other side is the beach & water.

If this place would charge for the view you may not be able to afford it. A good variety of foods and drinks on the menu. I'd come here again.

Beef dip with fries

Nice restaurant with a beautiful view of Davis Bay. Service was good but be prepared to wait for your food. Rating would increase with a few improvements to the food: fresher fish (the fried cod for the burger had a strong fishy taste and needed a bit more seasoning), corn chips for the falafel plate were disappointing. Chips were very plain and slightly stale. If I he plate had come with toasted pita or pita chips it would have been lovely. The beef dip also needed a bit more meat. One highlight was their french fries. Crispy, well seasoned and not greasy at all.

Poke bowl -- looks nice but didn't have as much in it as I'd hoped.

Came here twice in 1 week, not so much by choice but for lack of a better restaurant to eat at on a Sunday evening in Sechelt... Needless to say, the highlight of this place is its location -- you literally watch the sunset as you eat. And the good thing is that the patio umbrellas can be slanted to block most of the in-the-face sun. That aside, the menu is somewhat scant in options. I first tried the poke bowl, which was rather small and disappointing for its price. The second time around I got the sockeye main, which I actually quite liked with the roasted veggies...but it was $25. My friend got the "fresh" mussels and didn't think they were fresh (the waitress said they're all the way from PEI, which we couldn't quite understand considering we're right on the coast...). All that said, considering the limited options in this rural setting, I might still come back.

Cheesecake parfait to go. Delicious. Pretty decadent so can easily share between two

We came here for breakfast on our second day in Whistler, and my friend and I had a pleasant…read moreexperience overall! The back main dining area was incredibly loud, but luckily we snagged a spot near the bar, which was quieter. I appreciated that they informed us in advance about the 35-minute food wait time--it's always nice to have realistic expectations. I ordered the avocado toast and added smoked salmon. The smoked salmon portion was tiny--maybe 1 ounce--and it cost an extra $5 or $8, which felt overpriced. The salad that came with it was tasty and had a unique garlicky flavor, which I enjoyed. Their breakfast potatoes were also delicious! The avocado toast itself was just okay. Everything was served separately on the plate, which made it harder to eat and less flavorful compared to the crepe place in the village, where everything is layered on the toast. It might have been better if it came pre-assembled, given you're already using a fork and knife. At $30 CAD ($21 USD), the avocado toast felt a bit steep for what you get, but it was still a decent experience. Would recommend for the breakfast potatoes and ambiance if you can grab a quieter table!

My family of 5 adults and 2 kids came here yesterday. At first we wondered why it was mostly empty…read morecompared to the other restaurants. We thought it was because of the tucked away location out of the main center, and decided to give this place a try considering its many reviews. Then we realized everyone else probably knew better. -Overpriced mediocre food $28-$35 for burgers and sandwiches that were small, dry, and bland. -Dirty, dusty, tables, and flies everywhere. -Bad service The overpriced mediocre food would have been acceptable considering its tourist location. We could have even excused the flies ...but then you add the bad service and understand that this place just sucks. Every time we needed something we had to hunt our server down-ketchup, water, a quick picture. The place was nearly empty. They didn't tell us the iced tea was sweetened. Most places mention this. No biggee. When we realize it is, we told them we didn't want sweetened iced tea and didn't touch it, but then our server gave awkward attitude when we asked (very politely) to have it removed from the bill. Is that not common sense? We asked for a box and after nearly 10 minutes went to check what happened...our server forgot. Maybe she didn't care to put in any effort because of the mandatory 20 percent tip charge for parties over 6 ppl. This would be fine if the service was near acceptable, or even if the service existed at all after dropping off our food. This place is a waste time, money, and your opportunity to try the businesses that actually deserve your patronage.

We had a blast as the big restaurant with all its amenities was all ours. 1. The seating is huge with two floors. Lounges , dinning tables and what not. 2. Second it has live dj and the pub is open late on weekends for dj parties 3. Food and service is excellent. We not only enjoyed the food but played a good match of table tennis. There is a big section dedicated to games as well. I am setting this place as my go to and for sure one of my events will take place here.

Oak is part of the JRG fam, which i find hit or miss. I'm a big fan of Livelyhood in port moody (i think they have a great chef cuz the food is usually pretty good). I went to celebrate my nephews 8th birthday there (he said his reasoning was cuz they had good breakfast, and he could watch the hockey game). It was during happy hour so there are some cheaper options. I decided to get 1 corn dog ($4), and the pretzel ($6). When they server came with the food she was like "they accidentally made you 3 corn dog". well hey i'm not complaining! The pretzel arrived and looked ROUGH. i could tell it was going to be awful, i had a few bites and was not having it, it was dry, no salt or seasoning and the dip only worked for the corn dogs. I really enjoyed the corn dogs, they were fresh and tasty! I ended up letting the server know i was not happy with the pretzel and that it was dry and very bland. I usually have decent experiences here, the service is good, nice layout and the food is decent, but this pretzel was rough. She was really nice about my feedback and when my bill came, it was only $4. Thankfully she had taken the pretzel off my bill and was super super nice about it. Shoutout to Breanne! Maybe it's time to switch up the pretzel recipe but all in all, oak is a decent place if you're looking for pub food in langley. I prefer it over townhall for some reason.
