Can I just say... Weekend Brunch at World of Beer on Washington rd never disappoints! Food is always freshly made, and service is always on point! We try to get there by 1130am because it can get packed. That's how you know it's so great! If you're dining in or bringing your furry companion to sit with outside (this time of year while the temps are cooling down is perfect, by the way), it's always a great crowd, friendly customers & great staff. World of beer is a great spot to get a drink and some munchies for a reasonable price. They are consistent! It's not gonna be the best meal you've ever had, but the drinks are strong and the food is tasty bar style food. No matter what day or time I can also count on them to have a good Moscow mule and the loaded tots fill my soul. Also their happy hour is one of the better ones in the area! We came here on a Sunday for brunch. Everywhere else had hours long wait lists so we figured we'd try out WOB. While the food was good I wouldn't be eager to visit again. I think there's definitely better options for brunch in the CSRA. We ordered the Belgian waffles, hangover skillet, avocado toast and a side pancake. The skillet was pretty good, however I'd prefer home fries/breakfast potatoes instead of tater tots. The avocado toast....no. The "toast" was just bread and the only "seasoning" on the avocado was just diced tomatoes and green onion. The description sounded delicious and I wish it was because I'm a sucker for some good avo-toast! The service was great considering how busy they were but the cleanliness and overall condition of the restaurant was off-putting. read more

HANDS DOWN one of my fav restaurants in the aug. I go every once and a while and it never disappoints. I ALWAYS get the mac and cheese bites which are SO yummy (highly recommend) and the siracha aioli sauce it's paired with is perfect. I have gotten the burger, fish, chicken and shrimp and all are great! Today i got the chipotle chicken sandwich and it was delicious! The service is always great, everyone is so nice and friendly!! We've been coming here for years for brunch/dinner. Whenever we come we always ask for Jerry to take care of us, that is if he doesn't notice us pulling in to the parking lot. He's extremely attentive and a pleasure to talk with, and he's the main reason we keep coming back. He even remembers what we've had before and it's almost like he knows what we want. We love the food, the drinks, and the atmosphere (even if it does get a little loud from time to time). Whenever anyone comes to town to visit we bring them here and have never had any complaints. I ordered the fried chicken tacos. They were pretty good! The chicken was not dry. The avocados were a good addition. I didn't have any expectations coming here but I was satisfied. I also ordered the spinach dip which was also pretty good. It came with peta bread. Came here again with a few friends for Taco Tuesday. They offer $2.5 regular tacos and $3.5 specialty tacos. During happy hour they also have $3 local brew of the week and $5 shareable appetizers, which is great! I got a shrimp taco and so did my friend. It's a little bit pricier than I'd like for the size but we both really enjoyed eating it! The shrimp was fried to perfection and went so well with the other toppings inside the taco. I also got the fried mac n' cheese balls that came with dip. There's 5 balls per order. Each one is fried crispy and the inside is yummy cheesiness. Personally I'm not the biggest fan but for anyone who enjoys mac n cheese I think they would like it! The outdoor seating is gorgeous. They have couches surrounded a mini fire pit and lighting overhead. Good view of Washington road if you like watching traffic lol. Waitress was efficient and friendly. Had this place bookmarked for quite a while and very excited to finally try it. My boyfriend and I came on a Monday night. You can sit anywhere and our server was very friendly. I felt bad because they were not informed on what taps are out. There were at least three beers we wanted and was sold out. But they have a great selection of both local Georgia and craft beers. They do flights but they are individually priced. Looking at the menu, they carried a huge amount of both bottles and drafts. We tried the following: Jekyll tart vise Berliner Weiss Devil's backbone Danzig Baltic Porter Cherry street juicy Suzy double dry-hopped IPA Savannah river coffee dynamite coffee brown ale River watch scenic overlook blonde ale Orpheus transmigration of souls double IPA Wild heaven ode to mercy nitro imperial brown ale Red brick vanilla gorilla imperial porter We wanted to try more local Georgia beers since we can't get some of them in cincinnati. All were great and pricing reasonable. Inside is spacious, had a live band playing at the time, they do have a food menu and the have an outdoor patio. Okay I won't lie, I was turned off by the name. I don't drink beer, rarely drink alcohol, and I really wasn't interested in trying anything like bar food. But, I got invited, so I attended. I had low expectations but when I seen the menu after arriving I wasn't disappointed and quickly changed my outlook. First thing that popped in my head was Fried Mac n Cheese balls, I ordered immediately! Delicious! Fried to perfection! Sauce is amazing! My son ordered a giant pretzel! Delicious! Not a fan of the beer cheese sauce, but how can you go wrong with a pretzel? ‍ After this visit, I knew I had to come again. We had a great brunch with friends here. The menu was easy to read with a just enough options to please everyone in our party. I had the maple wood smoked bacon Benedict with a side of potatoes and a Bavarian pretzel appetizer. They had bottomless mamosas and bloody Mary's. The pretzel was so addicting, very soft and warm with a side of mustard and beer cheese. That disappeared fast. The eggs on my Benedict was a little on the undercooked side but I actually like it like that so If you don't, I would ask for eggs to be poached a little longer if you'd like the whites to be more firm. This place ruled. We were in town on Easter, and a lot of places were closed, so we gambled on WoB and WON big time. We sat at the bar and had some beers - their selection is impressive (you'd hope so given the name of the place). If I lived closer I would definitely join their beer club, it actually sounds like a pretty good deal. Their food was way better than you'd think, for "bar food". We got two side salads (nothing special here), but their Chimay burger was PERFECT. Just an amazing burger, honestly. Their wings seemed a little pricey for a 10pc wing dish, but when they came out they were HUGE. Cooked perfectly, and I'd eat them again, too. Went in for a celebration dinner because I and my coworkers typically really enjoy this location. (We had a fairly large party) I ordered 2 sides of broccoli, I'm pregnant and that's all I have been able to eat. We waited forever on drinks and to order food. When the food came out, everyone received their food except me. I asked about my food and was then told that they were out of broccoli. I called and spoke with a manager who tried to keep taking over the phone call with excuses of what happened versus trying to rectify and retain a customer or customer satisfaction. Was told that the waitress was notified WAY prior to the food coming out that there was no broccoli, however, I wasn't notified until the ENTIRE party received their food and multiple of them had broccoli. I was asked if I wanted a replacement item, which I declined because if I wanted something else I would have simply ordered it when I ordered the broccoli. read more

Service from staff here is some of the best and why we always go back. If you like beer they have plenty of choices and a full bar. Live music starts earlier than some venues which is enjoyable. Food is good for a chain- it's a chain people they have bar food- if you want fine dining, made from scratch go elsewhere but it's good and they get your order right from my experiences. A great place to meet friends, casual quick bite or enjoy local music and drinks. 4 stars because last meal I think order sat before being served not real hot- and not that busy - but would go back server was great as usual! And as far as the "pricey" comments every restaurant is pricey now - they have to survive and pay their overhead. read more

To start, let me tell you we LOVED it! We came here as a family (husband, wife and two kids) on a Saturday evening for dinner. We are just in town for the night and it looked like good we would eat. We were immediately seated and told to pick our seat so we went outside. Our waiter came right away, took our drink order, followed by appetizer order, then food order. Everything came to our table pretty fast. I highly recommend the Mahi Tacos... they were probably the best Mahi Tacos I've EVER eaten! So flavorful and filling! My husband had the fish and chips. Although it looks very heavy, it was so light tasting and not heavy at all. The homemade tarter sauce was delicious! My usually picky daughter who only eats kraft or velveeta Mac and cheese killed this one!! My other daughter gets a burger everywhere we we go! She loved this one but loved the fries even more! We had a birthday dinner here for a friend. They were very accommodating of our large party including a small child that needed a high chair. They sat us in their "vip" section which is a tucked away corner with old school video games and board games. It had a very barcade feel to it. The food was great and all of the guys ordered and highly recommend the schnitzel. But the beer is the main reason why you would come here, hence the name. They have a beer for every taste and they even have craft root beer. The parking however is a bit limited and their choice in live music is not the best. However, they do offer trivia and I would definitely like to come back for that. read more

This place was not over the top spectacular but also was not a crappy place. It was clean. No one to greet you at the hostess station so you basically seat yourself anywhere. There was only one place I could sit because I had my baby's stroller and the high chairs are too short for the high tops. Besides that the food was really good. My tacos weirdly tasted like a Big Mac lol my locally crafted beer had a kick to it. Spicy after taste I really enjoyed it a lot. My server was really nice and good looking so that was a plus lol and the restrooms were semi clean but happy they actually have a changing table for my little one. read more

What is wrong with this place? There seems to be a lot of confusion here. (I didn't write that line, that line was from a special critic that I take in account.) There were so many negatives, I honestly don't know where to begin. I guess I'll start from the top. When we walk in, the place is probably about 25% full, and there were plenty of tables, everywhere. We were guided to a table in the back of the restaurant right next to the bathroom. I was wondering why we were led so far back and at this table because it just didn't make sense when there were just so many tables everywhere else. We then moved ourselves to a different table, still sort of close to the bathroom, but at least we had our own table. Next up: Beer. We ordered our drinks and asked the waitress if they had this certain beer. We scanned the fridge and saw what we wanted and said if we could have that. Queue the waiting time. She was still confused and was still looking at the iPad that lists all their beers and we literally had to point out the beer that we wanted. Finally the beers come. She comes to mine, me waiting patiently, she pops the top and starts pouring. She over pours with a shit ton of head on top and it overflows. Yeah. IF YOU CAN'T POUR BEER, DON'T POUR BEER. I mean, just let me pour it and if I screw up it's on me. Don't try to over exert yourself and try to prove that you're a better waiter. Maybe she needs some practice? Along that, she hardly didn't seem knowledgeable at all with the types of beer/flavor of the beer the establishment holds. Let's get to food: I was going to order the flatbread, but a last minute decision made me order the Pork Schnitzel. The guest critic ordered the bratwurst that was on the $5 happy hour menu, he also was deciding between the tacos and the bratwurst, but the waitress said that the bratwurst had a bigger portion. He told her to hold the bun though and instead get more veggies and sauerkraut. The pork schnitzel was... meh. I felt like for a $13, it really wasn't worth it. It was laid on top of a pile of mash potatoes and then some pan fried kale with a sunny side egg on top of the schnitzel with capers. The pork was a little too fried? I mean it was extremely crispy but it just lacked flavor. The bratwurst... was pathetic. It was served in a doggy plate and it was just this sausage and barely any sauerkraut and any veggies. You would expect that those side items would be loaded on the side of the bratwurst, but nope. Next the checks: One person from my party was charged for a $25 beer whereas it was listed on their inventory as $11. We then had to PROVE that it was $11. She asked the manager, then came back and said it was $25. I then looked it up and showed that it was indeed $11. I mean come on. They later came back and said "on your next visit, use this coupon to get a free flatbread..." We won't be back though. The only thing that this place was saved was just the selection of beer. So many selections. I mean, it'll take some time for you to receive your beer, but at least you get a shit ton of amount of choices. I sort of had iffy feelings about this place when I saw their reviews, but the party wanted their choices of beer. Since a good amount of breweries are closed on Monday, this was the choice for the night. If you decide to come here... 1: sit at the bar. 2: only order beer. That's my only two suggestions. Coming back from Savannah where there is a World of Beer downtown, I was ecstatic that Augusta opened one as well. There's a huge variety of beers ranging from $5-7 mostly; literally the walls are covered with the different beers and they have many on draft. The food is also amazing - I'd recommend anything with beer cheese on it. I got tacos and was able to request to get an ahi tuna taco even though it wasn't listed on their menu. We had a large party so we had a long wait (more than 1 hour) during dinner rush, but the service was great. They made sure we were never left waiting without a drink in hand. read more
