Whenever my Mr and I visit my parents, (we're from Cincinnati) we always say we need to check this place out but never did. Finally after 3 attempts every year, we made it in and regret not checking them out before. Such a small place but so much to offer. Looks like this used to be a gas station and they turned it into a tap room. They sell crowlers/growlers to go (a great selection to choose from), bottle/can top of the line craft beers from local breweries, you can mix and match your six pack, and have barrel aged beers. My Mr and I wanted to purchase beers that we can't get from Cincinnati. Especially local beers. We definitely stocked up! Such a cool place! Stopped in during Arts in the Heart Festival... large beer selection! Very relaxing, chill kind of vibe. The lady bartender was extremely nice, friendly and personable. She let us sample a couple of the beers before committing to a full glass. They even have corn hole out on the patio. Definitely a place we would go again to hang out. We loved our time at the Tip Top Taps Broad street location! It is right next to the Blue Moon Café where the old Book Tavern was. The staff are unbelievably friendly and knowledgeable. The beer options were incredible with a lot of different styles and flavors to choose from. Also- they offer free popcorn while you are there! Upstairs, there is extra seating and a paddle game. Wherever my lady and I go, I always like to find a place to buy brews that I can't get at home in Cincinnati. So when we passed by this spot, it looked like just the place to get just that. Was I right? Absolutely! It may look like a small former gas station on the outside, but inside, they have LOTS of great local craft beer offers in bottles, cans, and on tap. We stopped by after lunch and I figured I'd just get a few beers... And I ended up with much more! They has so many great selections that it was hard to stop. Scott was very helpful and gave great advice on goodies to try. I pretty much stocked up on brews from places I'd never heard of from places like Pontoon Brewing, Souther Brewing, Steel Hands Brewing, Schoolhouse Brewing, Jekyll Brewing, Edmund's Coast Brews, and so much more! They sell everything by single bottle and single can at very good prices so you can mix it up and not get stuck with a single beer six-pack. They also have gourmet coffee if you need your caffeine fix instead of a beer buzz. Excellent bottle shop/taproom for sure! Tip Too Taps is pretty cool. 20 taps of IPAs and local brews along with some mashup of taps. They also sell individual cans of some hard to find beers. The corner of the store has a pretty good array of home brewing supplies. The staff is friendly and helpful. They can direct a novice or talk details to a beer nerd. A gas station turned into a craft brew drinker's oases.. get your pinky fingers ready to wave in the wind because they have constant rotating taps. They have a wonderful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. My friend and I love to come in sample new brews every couple of weekends, then we head home with a growler or what they call a "crowler" (can-growler, 32oz I believe). Despite having beer constantly splattered on the tap wall and floor, this place is IMMACULATELY clean and well kept. They even have at-home brew kits, for the bold and the brave. Cannot recommend enough. Go support local! They also have a rewards program through the Clover app, so make sure to download in preparation for your first trip! Great local business!!! I have been coming here with my husband since they opened and they have been nothing short of outstanding each time we go. I stopped drinking alcohol some years ago but that has not stopped me from going there on my own to buy a surprise treat for my husband once in a while. I especially appreciate the wealth of knowledge that each employee has and their friendly demeanor. I never leave without a great conversation. Tip Top Taps has experienced a few changes since they opened. They used to have a small vaping business but that has since transitioned to serving Buona Caffe cold brew and nitrogenated coffee. That made me an even more devoted fan since I love coffee and now I could fill up a howler with cold brew and pick up something for the hubby at the same time! They have a rewards program through Perka where you receive a code with each purchase and then you can receive "hole punches" towards a free 32 oz. howler refill. For the purpose of the rating I'm giving them, I'm ignoring the little vapor place in the corner. That needs to go (or get a wall in between the two shops), but I believe that's technically being called its own place. Tip Top Taps is just wonderful. They have the best rotation of beers that I've seen, the owner is a great guy to interact with, they have embraced technology in the right way for their business, and the folks who work here are extremely friendly and helpful. They start remembering faces after your first visit or two, and they're starting to know which beers to highlight when I come in the store. If you're giving them a try, make sure to check out their website before you visit to see all the beers they have on tap and how much is left in the keg you're interested in. They are using an app to handle their customer loyalty card (Perka), so I'd recommend downloading that if you think you'll turn into a frequent customer. One last note - I think this place learned a lot in their first few weeks of business. They've worked out some kinks, gotten much better at managing a crowd, and generally just seem better at interacting with their customer base now. I went in their about a week ago. The place was just finished getting set up and they were still working out the kinks. There were several gentleman working in their, and they all seemed friendly and knowledgable on the beer selection. They have a rotating craft beer selection that you can view from a web page. They sell their beer in either a 16oz, or 32 oz growler. They helped guide me to a selection while giving me samples and suggestions. The only reason it's not five stars is the price. Yes it's craft beer, but if your taking it home it shouldn't be at bar prices. Maybe this we'll work itself out in the future. Or maybe the price difference works out when you bring your bottle back in for the 5 dollar refund. I love the idea, and hope they do well in the future. read more

One of the only shops of its kind in the Evans area. Their website is updated daily with the types of beer on tap and the amount left in the keg. Just a $5 deposit for the growler and you can exchange it for a refilled bottle at the going rate of the beer you have chosen. They offer a decent amount of Micro-Brews from Georgia as well as other beers from around the US. Some beers also make it from Belgium. I haven't been into much of the craft beer scene, but I do love the variety they have. I will continue to continue to support this establishment and have thoroughly enjoyed all of my selections from there. The young man who regularly works there has been great. He's not overbearing in trying to sell you something and let's try anything on tap. They offer a Military discount and have a rewards program in an app (Perka) that gives a you a free 32oz growler after 10 purchases. I arrived 15 minutes prior to closing one evening, and was treated the same as if I would have arrived earlier. Other patrons arrived just minutes before closing and were treated well also. I came in with two Grawlers the guy behind the counter said he couldn't take them because they wasn't clean..... i have brought in growlers that were like they were before keep in mind the outside was just a little dirty and he said their was bugs inside them which they wasn't! So I left. I should have left the grawlers there on the counter since I won't be returning ever again. So today was the first time I stopped by, and right away my wife and I were pleasantly greeted by Taylor, the girl working at the counter. She was very nice, answered any questions we had about the beers and even gave us a couple different samples to try before we made our final decision. My wife and I love growler stations, but the people who work at them can make or break a business for customers. Tip Top Taps used to be a gas station and is now a craft beer and vapors store. After, a quick lunch me and a friend headed over to see what it was all about. I'd actually also read about this place in a local business newsletter, so I was excited to explore. Now, I'm not a beer drinker at all, but I'm starting to explore it. The staff was so nice. They explained the various selections. As well as the difference between a howler and a growler. Much needed. They provided us with samples of a few of the beers we were interested in. I decided to get the Abita Strawberry Lager, which was good. I get to keep the howler and just refill it on my next visit. Reminds me of Boba tea. Lol! Its been a while so I decided to stop back in and see how things have evolved and I will not be back. While I was making my purchase, an elderly customer came into the store asking the person working, same person working there when I first went, if he had heard of the beer "Pacifico" and if he carried the beer. The worker in a huff goes "I never heard of that beer, we only sell good beer here so I can help you if you want good beer." He then goes on and ignores him as he tries to ask something else. Really?!? I know the worker knows what Pacifico is and where he could suggest to go to get it. Was it really necessary to be insulting? I don't care how great you think your beer knowledge is or how good you think your beer selection is, which the selection is yet again disappointing ast as I have had all but the one beer I bought, I wont be back. read more

Have got to work out a system on how to deal with crowd. Very confusing, eventhough they were working hard, it's very annoying to have people go in front of you, since no one knows who is next. Need to have someone separate to jump in and do the samples. We waited about 15 mins and just went to Publix and designed a 6 pack. Outstanding business. I visited almost weekly during my time in Augusta. The employees here were always friendly and very knowledgeable. The rotating tap selection is excellent. At any given time, they have 20 beers on tap representing many popular styles and breweries from all around the U.S and Europe. Prices were always reasonable. I absolutely love Tip Top Taps. Like most have said. It's housed in what use to be a gas station, and if you're not paying attention you'll fly past it. Being a person who enjoys craft beer, and is a fan of beers on tap, this was a joy to find. They usually have 20 beers or ciders on tap. They have display panels to let you know what's on tap for the day. First panel is IPAs, second panel is imports, third panel is locals, and the fourth panel is ciders and everything else. I love this place because they let you try whatever is on before you decide on what you want to buy. Once you decide on the beer, you decide on what size you want. Either a howler (32oz.) or a growler (64oz). They will fill up for you, and seal it there so you won't get an open container charge if you just so happened to get pulled over. You pay $5 for the first howler or growlers, and every time after that, they'll swap out bottles for new ones and you won't have to pay $5 again unless you're getting a brand new bottle. They have a rewards program too. They use perka. After 10 beers, and your next one is free. There is a vapor shop inside also, but I never really pay much attention to it. I only started doing the growler-o-beer thing about a month ago, and thus don't have much basis for comparison. That said, I like this place. It serves it's purpose, which to me is to provide craft beer to-go. The selection was decent, and the staff was friendly enough. I would almost have given it four stars, but I'm reserving that spot for Gravity Growlers. Price, selection, and staff are all about the same, but I give Gravity the edge because it's a cleaner set-up. By that I mean, aesthetically; it is less cluttered with empty kegs, and there isn't an e-cigarette sampling area half-a-dozen paces away from the bar. That said, Tip Top Taps isn't so far behind that I would drive the extra 6-8 minutes to get to Gravity Growlers. After all, it's about the beer, and Tip Top's is pretty good. read more
